DISSERAM PARA TER CUIDADO: Piauí – Serra das Confusões e além! – S12/EP14
Speed up this jabiraca… Guys, we decided to go for a swim… Hey everyone, Thiago speaking, starting another video for the channel, live here from Caracol, Piauí. We’re very close to Serra das Confusões, and we’re going to get the motorcycle here from the snack bar. The motorcycle stayed here. This day is dawning. Good morning, Le Cappel. Good morning. We’re in front of the city hall. This tree was full of birds yesterday. So the hotel is over there, Pousada Recreio, and we stored the motorcycle here. The daily cleaning, the little rooms here, simple. We got electrocuted to turn on the shower, but that’s part of it. And I’m using these little Wolf organizer bags here, so I just put electronics in one, the other for shampoo and insect repellent. And here, it’s an extension cord, comes in various sizes, and they’re really useful for organizing things here in the suitcase. So here in the yellow suitcase, I carry clothes, basically clothes, a pair of sneakers , and a bottle of water. Here in this trunk, a computer, a drone, 2 liters of oil, and here’s the Wolf bottle. I don’t have the tank bag; I’m using the fanny pack, also from Wolf. Here are basically spare parts, a spatula… and up here, in this little bag, a raincoat, a camera bag, and in this other little bag, the stove. This is my setup on the bike: here I put the Action 4 mouse , and here, the Insta 360, the TPMS, and the GPS. And this one is Le Cappel’s bike, using this setup with multiple bags, and now we’re going to have some coffee. It’s the typical breakfast here: couscous and ground beef. Well, we’ve had breakfast, now we’re heading to Serra das Confusões Park. Let’s start the bike here; you have to turn on the tap… Warm up, bike. Spot on, being tracked, there’s the SOS button here in case we need help. That’s the way. Off you go? Off you go. Starting another blessed day from God, at 7:30 a.m. Asking for His protection so we can overcome the day’s challenges, enjoy the trip, and record a cool video for you, live here from Caracol, Piauí. It’s not the wrong way here, is it? No. Alltracks Top Cases: If you need a top case for your motorcycle, be sure to check out the Alltracks top cases. Are they closed here? Sturdy top cases keep your luggage safe. BNP Seguros motorcycle insurance: talk to Eduardo there, ask for a quote, and he’ll give you a good quote for motorcycles, cars, houses, trucks, helicopters, ships, boats—just kidding. Vital Card travel insurance is the only provider I’ve found that covers motorcycle travel without the need for any additional fees. And now you can get your quote and insurance directly through the Vital Card link, which I left here in the description, and at the end, you can use my discount coupon, thinoronha. “Wow,” everything settled? That way, let’s get started on Earth early. A lot of people ask me about these vests I use. Just put on an armor vest. Check if Nacar has it, or Nacar Motorcycle. They also have my discount coupon, thinoronha. I bought the Shoei helmet there, the jackets… the Macna jacket, the… raincoat, the TCX boots. Okay, here’s the road, 12 km to the park entrance. These 12 km are paved, and then there are another… I think a maximum of 15 km of dirt, to explore the park. Some say you need a guide, others say you don’t. And also, if you want to help the channel by becoming a member, as a reward, I make all the videos available in advance to channel members. This is a YouTube tool, and I only have access to make the videos available; I don’t have access to release payments, things like that. I just upload the video and choose the option to release to members. Also, remember that all the videos are free. I release one video per weekend, so all of those that are available to members, when the date arrives, it will be released to everyone. You can already see a tower there; I believe it’s the park entrance. We’re getting here, at the entrance. It says Serra das Confusões National Park. Here, the visitor center is 6 km away. Here, the dirt roads begin, the road, right? I’m using the route I got from Wikiloc. From here, you can go to the Viana Canyons, but that’s a difficult level, with lots of sand. We went from Bom Jesus to here. We did a stretch, but because it rained, it was very busy, it wasn’t passing through. There was even an episode where the water almost covered the motorcycle here. So we turned around, on asphalt, and we’re at this end here, ready to visit Serra das Confusões. A beautiful day, starting at 7:40 a.m. This first stretch here has a very thin layer of sand, nothing to worry about. Let’s see what it’s like until we get there at the guardhouse, and then further on. There’s a part that’s a… there’s pavement, right inside the park. Branch fences are quite common here. I saw several small houses with branch fences on the road from São Raimundo . The fine sand continues, nothing new, and 6 km from the asphalt, we arrive here at the Serra das Confusões National Park entrance. This is definitely worth a photo. And this photo here, you can see on Instagram, thinoronha, and the one from Le Cappel. Taken, let’s move on. Good morning. The guy at the guardhouse doesn’t stop… He didn’t ask me to stop, I drove straight on. Good morning. Here, the sand is a little softer, but nothing impossible to pass. Just be careful… And there are a few stretches with heavier sand, but I’m here in second gear, just trying to keep up here… in the wake of the cars. Le Cappel is back there, but if I stop here, I’ll be the one spinning, so… The pavement is here. Wait for it here. Look at this beautiful place, it looks like this stone here must have been cut, maybe. We continue. The pavement here is good. And look at the “mountain range” here. First lookout, look how beautiful it is. Man, what a beautiful thing. Some rocks there, look at that beautiful thing. “How beautiful, huh?” And around here, there’s a cave, but you can’t go there without a guide, from what I’ve been told, I spoke with Lázaro Henrique. What a spectacular thing, this is Brazil – Piauí – Serra das Confusões. Look… Words can’t describe this place here, how it was formed, I don’t know what it was here. A little cobblestone road, these stones were probably extracted from right here. It’s interesting how people get the cobblestones, let’s see. How crazy, huh… I wonder if it’s called Serra da Confusão because the stones are similar? Leave a comment explaining the reason for the name Serra das Confusões. Does the Teneré go up here? The “cascaio” (cobblestone), the pavement, is gone. I wonder if… it goes like this until… I know there’s a village, right up ahead. We’ll go to the village and back, and back, and back. And the road continues, through this place here, it makes a tunnel through the trees, look at this beautiful place. There’s a little sand, but it’s wet. Let’s see if we can get to the village. Is it possible to go over it? Yes. We arrived at a village here, after that paved section, we drove, I don’t know, I think about 9 km, or so. Good morning. How are you? What’s this village called? This is Capim. Capim? How cool. We’re strolling here, I passed through the mountains, continued on the little road… We got here. Cool. Is this where, if you keep going, you come out to the Vianas? Yeah, in that green house there, you have to “watch.” But it’s “sandy sand,” right? No, there’s a village there, Cajoeira… Yeah, we came… We went to Bom Jesus and entered the Canyons, but there’s a part that’s flooded, you can’t pass. I saw the photos. Go this way. And who lives there in the middle? I remember Mr. Milton’s place, Can he come here alone? Because he can’t go to Bom Jesus, right? He can only come here, right? From this side to this side, isn’t it flooded? There are some residents here… Oh, cool. “See,” is there anyone who can take us to the cave around here? Does it take long, right? No, it’s a quick thing, just look at the cave and leave. He said he’ll go. I’ll leave it there and come back. How much do you charge to take us there? Let’s go, you pay for gas… Okay then. Coffee, there’s some coffee. Thanks. Wow, thanks. Wanting to take the motorcycle there… What are you doing here? What are you doing here, do you even have a notebook? Just writing down people’s names. To divide? There’s the ox, now divide it. They sell on credit. So they kill the ox, divide it, separate the pieces, mark it in the notebook, and then pay. Is that it? Yeah. Pay monthly. Pay monthly? Yeah. Boy… Yeah. And can you choose the meat, or can you not choose? Yes, you have to pay later. That’s cool, I did that when I was a kid. But I couldn’t see it, because I was a kid, I couldn’t see the killing, and I had to keep pulling out little pieces of bone. Very cool, congratulations on your work. Thank you. “Hey guys,” it’ll pass, it’ll get dusty. Take it slow. We came at 10 an hour there… If we don’t fall, it’s good. Ready? Let’s go. Thanks everyone, good morning. No, don’t worry. “Hi!” Very welcoming people here. Let’s go to the cave now. It’s steep, isn’t it? What do you call it? Marcelo. Marcelo. Have you lived here… since you were a kid? Since you were a kid. Did the water do this, Marcelo? Yes. For many years? And does it rain a lot here? But this year, it wasn’t very rainy. We used to go down there, we used to go down when we were kids, and we have this hall here… And riding a motorcycle in the sand is easy for you, isn’t it? You were born here, right?! Man, the stairs here are… Is this one called Gruta do Boi? Yeah, Gruta do Boi. Here, my friend, here now, it’s too easy, because first… going down was through this branch here. Are you kidding?! Yeah. Guys, they used to go down, back when there weren’t any stairs, through the branch. But how beautiful it is here, it gets really cool, isn’t it?! Here it is… A cave is when there’s a passage… A cave is when there isn’t one. Yeah, when there’s an exit, then it becomes a grotto, right?! A tunnel inside the rock, the mountain, that has an exit. When there’s no exit, it becomes a cave. Here is the dripping trough, guys. Dripping trough… Now that I understand the dripping trough. This is like that, straight up. Non-stop? Non-stop. Guys, the grandeur of a place like this here, here in Serra da Confusão, a beautiful cave like this, is impressive . I can only thank God for this well-known place. Nothing like resting, lying down… here in the cave. We’ll have to carry it. I’ll carry it by the feet, you carry it by the arms, and we’ll carry it. If you come in the “brush.” Will we be able to carry it? Well, everyone, so we’ve seen the beauty of Serra da Capivara, and now we’re going back to Caracol, São Raimundo Nonato, and the idea is to go to a city next to the São Francisco River, called Remanso. This trip itinerary, I wanted to include the Pernambuco countryside, so I’m going to plan a route that goes through Remanso, Petrolina, Juazeiro, and up to Pernambuco. What a show. Now I’m going to turn off the camera, because I already filmed practically the entire way back, on the way there, on the way there, I filmed practically everything on the way back. I’ll be back when I get there on the highway. Speed up that jabiraca. So, we’re already here on the asphalt, now we’ll do the reverse route, passing through Caracol, from Caracol, São Raimundo Nonato , and on to Remanso. It’s now 11:00 AM. Look, Le Cappel has arrived. Now let’s hit the pavement. And we’re back, here in São Raimundo Nonato. It’s about 110 km from Serra das Confusões Park. Now, 12:00 PM sharp, time for gas and lunch. And here’s downtown. Last time I stayed at this hotel. Okay, we filled up. Now, a follower saw me here at the gas station, Edson Júnior, and he’s going to take us to a place here where we can park our motorcycle in the shade and the food is good and cheap. It’s best to ask locals. Thanks, Edson, amazing place, good and cheap food. Oh, how difficult. Life is hard here, isn’t it? Very hard. Look, cupuaçu and açaí. At 1:35 p.m., we had lunch here, had a good chat with the people, the truck drivers, the restaurant staff here, nice people, they even said that if we wanted to pitch a tent there, we could sleep there. But we’re going on, to Remanso. Here, right at the entrance to the city. São Raimundo Nonato, is it possible to go this way? I think I’ll go this way. And this is the municipality of São Lourenço do Piauí. And in a little while, we’ll cross the border again, Piauí – Bahia. And once again, a state line. There’s no way to go straight through, right? It smells like burning oil. Another border crossing, heading back to Bahia and then we’ll head towards Pernambuco. Motorcycles are hot. Hey guys, how people travel here, in the back of the car, sun beating down. And welcome to Remanso, in the state of Bahia. Way back there, there’s a floodplain of the São Francisco River. Now, the goal here is to find a place to rest. It’s amazing how many D20s there are. “Wow!” Having a party. We’ve arrived here at the end of town, on the paved road, and we’re heading straight here to see the pier. Looks like there’s a motocross race tomorrow. We visited Serra da Canastra a few days ago , which is where the São Francisco River originates, and now we’re here, in the state of Bahia. And look at the old Chico. It seems like it’s not so full, because here, apparently, it floods. Go down there. It’s so big here, it looks like the sea, doesn’t it? Look… the immensity. And the end of the line. Some boats here, a restaurant. Old, war-torn Brazil. Guys, we decided to take a dip, right, Lê? That’s it. So let’s go in there. So, dip? You’re not going to jump in head first, huh. You’re not going to jump in head first. There’s nothing here. Yeah, but there are branches. Look at the branch here. I don’t want to use my travel insurance there. And the São Francisco River, old, war-torn one. Is the water okay there? It’s great. Is it warm or cold? It’s the ideal temperature. Is it? What time is it now, around 4 p.m.? I think so. So, I recommend that 4 p.m. is a good, exceptional time… to take a dip in the São Francisco River. So come here, at 4 p.m., take a dip in the São Francisco River. If you’re from the region, you already know. You’re from far away, far away, here in the São Francisco River, in Bahia, come at 4 p.m. So, let’s take the opportunity to end the video here. If you liked it, leave a like. If you’re not subscribed, subscribe. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, @thinoronha and LeCappel. Turn around, there’s a frog there. LeCappel. Thanks, and I’m off…
Neste episódio visitamos o Parque Serra das Confusões, que fica no Sertão do Piauí.
