ブルーフィールズウォーキングツアー
Good morning, YouTube fam. It’s me, T, and the place to be back with another video live and direct from Blue Fields, Nicaragua. And today, we’re going to do a walking tour of this coastal Caribbean town located in the eastern half of the country. I’m going to go check out a restaurant named Flante by the waterfront. Hopefully, they’re open because a lot of the restaurants here in town close early or they open whenever they feel like it. The hours posted on Google aren’t always reliable, so we shall see. As the people in this side of the country would say, “All right, then My body feels sweeter. [Music] Lupil is a city and municipality on the central coast of Korea and mosquito coast and it’s the capital of the south Caribbean post autonomous region. I’m from the north Caribbean post autonomous region from the town of Portovesa. That’s the cap rule of that side and refill is the cap of this side. What happened? [Music] [Music] [Music] And I’m singollywood [Music] Bluefield has a population of approximately 50,000 people and it’s the blackest town in Nicaragua. The population reflects the city’s deep cultural and ethnic diversity compromising predominantly Afro descendant creo, mosquito and mystiso residents along with smaller communities of Gafuna, Rama and Chinese people. Bluefields has a good amount of hotels to stay at. However, many of them cannot be booked online. They’re not on booking or Airbnb or those type of sites. So basically, you either show up or you reserve through WhatsApp. A lot of the big hotels are on this street. The main hotels in Blue Fields that you’ll see in the guide books and online, they’re all on this main street, commercial street. Everything out here is done through WhatsApp. WhatsApp is king. Then this is the the Kasa Museo a descendantes which is the Africanamean descendants museum. It’s a museum dedicated to the black culture, black history here in Bluefields and the surrounding areas. Going have to go in and check that out. You see this is the side of the Afro Descendants Museum. I don’t know. [Music] Happy morning. [Music] Thank you. Thank you. Oh, it’s a government building. I was like, this shit’s pretty fly. A gym over there. And hot ass human blue fields. They be they be exercising their ass off though in Granada and Leyon. Guess you still got to get exercise. Should I just walk around? This is a museum dedicated to Miss Lizzy Nelson. She passed a few years ago. She was a huge figure here in Bluefields. She was an elder. She uh always danced in Palo Mayo. These little nuts keep biting at me. Very annoying. How are you? It’s another popular hotel in town, Hotel Jakani. Like I said, most of the main hotels are lined up on this main street. They do have other hotels throughout town like the one we’re staring staying at. Even though ours is technically off the main street, too. You just got to go down the alley. It’s a nice house. Look at this thing. [Music] I got Okay. This Okay. This building is Caribbean as I like how the logos are like, “What’s up with these two?” Yeah, I haven’t gotten those looks in since in Leyon. You don’t really get it that much unless you go down like a small side street of like a bario that isn’t on the tourist circuit. Most people don’t though, they just go about their business. Here though, people are like stopping and just staring like, “What’s up with these people? Is it down there? I see the water. In case you’re wondering, we’re trying to find a restaurant that serves rundown. Accordingly, this place does. It’s called Flotante, which is means floating restaurant. It’s right on the water. So, Logic says they should serve rundown. The other spot in town that serves it was closed already. So, we’ll see. [Music] I know they have fish, so worst case scenario, we’ll have some fish cuz me and Nicole are starving. So, it was about an 8 minute walk from our guest house. It’s jackf fruit. Nice. All right, let’s see what Fanta is about. Oh, that’s a nice place. Watch your step going down here. Cheers. It’s a Blue Fields, man. Go style. Unfortunately, Flatante Restaurant isn’t serving any rundown today. So, once again, we’re out of luck. I’m surprised at how hard it has been to find one of the traditional dishes from this town, from this area. The traditional dish is run from this side of the country. Can’t find it anywhere. Anyhow, we ordered some stewfish and Caribbean sauce and the other with some tippy tapa sauce. That’s the red stuff with side salad, rice, and of course the sauce. [Music] middle of the night to see [Music] middle of the night. [Music] See you can get fresh fish here in blue fields for my man. Right on. [Music] iPhone. I want you to watch the camera. Where you going? [Music] Hello. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Papa. [Music] [Music] What you think? Heat. [Music] Heat. Yeah. Heat. Where do you see that? You don’t be so bad. Thank you. So, so quick. Heat. Heat. [Music] Anyway, [Music] [Music] Now, [Music] Nice job. [Music] Mama [Music] Come back. [Music] Foreign speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech. [Music] [Music] Sanche. [Music] [Music] Are you ready? That’s first year, second year, third year. Okay. [Music] [Music] We tried to get rundown at this spot, too, but they also didn’t have any, even though online everybody says it makes some very good rundown. And they usually close early. Earlier today, they were closed when we got here, but now they’re open, even though they’re supposed to be closed. Like I’m saying, a lot of things out here close and open whenever they feel like it, and the hours are very unreliable. [Music] [Music] There we go. Where? We’re just strolling through one of the markets on the side street in Bluefields. To get to the beach, you got to take a panga. And then the beach in Bluefields is called El Bluff. And it’s basically a peninsula. So, it takes some work to get to. [Music] boat. Amen. Everything is fire. Everything is fire. Everything. Okay, I think that’s it up ahead. Even Bluefields has a amm. Oh, I’m sorry. MF. [Music] Thanks for joining me on my walk through this coastal Caribbean town. Now it’s time for me to end the night with a cup of coffee here at this place called Moccino. And I will catch you guys on the next video. Tub straight out of the camera. Peace.
The most populous black town in Nicaragua is Bluefields, located on the country’s Caribbean coast, which is home to Nicaragua’s largest African settlement and Creole culture. The city has a historical African-dense presence dating back to the 1630s, when enslaved Africans were brought to the area by the British.
Today Bluefields is still an important Caribbean port town and home of the Palo de Mayo festival, rundown dish and gateway to the beautiful Bluff beach, Corn Islands, Pearl Lagoon and Pearl Cayes. Bluefields, is also the capital of the Autonomous Region of the South Atlantic in Nicaragua. Explore with me…
