【これだけ見れば大丈夫!】大阪万博2025のしくみとパビリオン案内〜この22分動画を見れば行ったつもりになれる!〜
Hello! This is Maru from the Maru Travel Channel. You know that Osaka Expo 2025 Yumeshima is happening now, but what exactly is it like? For those of you who are wondering, I’ve put together a super simple and super easy-to-understand summary!! Expos are such an interesting place~~ Let’s go! Here we go! First of all, here’s where Osaka Expo 2025 is being held! Yumeshima is an artificial island in Konohana Ward, Osaka City . The nearest station is Yumeshima Station on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line, which is actually a newly constructed station. The event will run for 184 days, from Sunday, April 13th, 2025 to Monday, October 13th (national holiday), 2025. Tickets are best purchased online. To visit, you’ll need to make a reservation in advance for the date, entry time, and either the East or West Gate. Once you’ve booked your entry, you’ll be able to make advance reservations for pavilions, events, and more . The East Gate is primarily used by people arriving by train, while the West Gate is primarily used by people arriving by bus. The highlight of this year’s Osaka Expo is the large roof ring that you can walk around inside the venue! Approximately 30 meters wide, 20 meters high, 615 meters in diameter, and a circumference of a whopping 2 kilometers! It was recognized by the Guinness World Records on March 4, 2025 , as the world’s largest wooden building. International pavilions are located inside, while domestic and corporate pavilions are located outside. There’s a rooftop corridor called the Skywalk, offering a panoramic view of the entire venue. There are said to be 188 pavilions within the venue, including smaller ones . Let me give you a brief introduction. There are said to be 152 pavilions representing various countries and regions . Let me introduce a few of them . The Italian Pavilion is famous for its long lines every day, and when we went, the wait time was a whopping 5 hours!!! The best thing about this place is that you can see world-class artworks in person! “Portrait of Ito Mancio.” This is Jago’s “Circulatory System. ” This is Boccioni’s “The Only Form of Continuity in Space.” “The Farnese Atlas.” Atlas is a titan in Greek mythology who was “punished to support the heavens.” Also on display are Michelangelo’s “Resurrection of Christ , ” Caravaggio’s “Entombment of Christ,” and Leonardo da Vinci’s “Atlantic Code .” The Saudi Arabian Pavilion, known for its restaurant access as the most difficult at the Expo , is divided into several booths and introduces Saudi Arabia. Using large screens and other displays, the pavilion showcases various themes . The Spain Pavilion, which is quite intriguing from the outside, focuses on the Kuroshio Current, which connects Japan and Spain. There are many exhibits related to the ocean . There were various exhibits, such as blueprints that appeared to float in the air and animal feed cultures in test tubes . There was also a greeting card room, which was a very relaxing space. The Brazil Pavilion was filled with contemporary art , with works that inflated with air and deflated with air . This one supposedly represents breathing. There are areas where videos are shown on huge, high-definition displays , making for a very impressive and worthwhile experience. This is the Nordic Pavilion, the Republic of Finland’s pavilion, where five countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden – are exhibiting together. Inside, videos are projected onto many small screens, and the shop is also a must-see! There’s even Moomin! The entrance to the Malta Pavilion, located in front of the Water Plaza, features high-definition images projected on a high-performance display, making it feel like you’re entering a real rock formation. Inside, armor and crafts associated with Fukuzawa Yukichi, as well as replicas of ruins, are on display. There’s also an area surrounded by displays. The Czech Pavilion is surrounded by Czech glass imported from the Czech Republic. As you go further, the walls are painted with contemporary art, including paintings of Osaka Governor Yoshimura and Prime Minister Ishiba . Beer is also sold on the first floor, and Czech beer is highly recommended. The Kuwait Pavilion has an eye-catching streamlined building from the outside. You can watch videos on a spherical screen, and in the next room you can touch sand brought from the actual desert. You can even dance like this! There’s also a slide and a relaxing resting room. The final room is an area where you can lie down and watch videos projected on the ceiling. The scenery is beautiful, the sound is very impressive and this is a production that is sure to satisfy.Turkmenistan is known as a rare dictatorship in modern times and is a country where the president is absolute.Turkmenistan ‘s main attractions are horses and dogs.If you go up to the second floor there is an exhibition room lined with Turkmenistan’s famous products. The shop on the first floor is also full of things to see.The Indonesian exhibit has been put together very well. The first room inside is filled with Indonesian plants and the temperature and humidity are quite high.In the next room I was overwhelmed by the rapidly changing images and music. After walking through a corridor where tools used by indigenous people are on display, I entered a room that was like Indonesia in the future.I waited in a room that felt like a small lounge and entered a room in front of the theater exit where I was given free Balinese coffee, Bali Kopi, and sweets. The Australia Pavilion smelled of animals from the entrance. As I entered the building I suddenly noticed a mechanism in the trunk of a tree in the forest ! Once you leave the forest, a world of images unfolds before you . Images of the Great Barrier Reef and beautiful underwater scenes are projected onto the front, left and right sides, and on screens attached to the ceiling. Next, you’ll be amazed by the Azerbaijan building, which has an incredibly intriguing exterior. Once inside, you’ll watch a video on a cylindrical screen and then look at the exhibits on the country of Azerbaijan. The Uzbekistan Pavilion, with its impressive earthen walls, also has a unique smell. It feels like you’re free to wander around the various exhibits in the dark room. After that, you’ll enter the central cylindrical room and watch a 360° video that surrounds you. From that room, you’ll exit onto the second floor, where you’ll find a series of wooden pillars . The Signature Pavilion is a special pavilion that offers exhibits and experiences that symbolize the overall concept of the Expo, “Designing a Future Society for Life.” There are eight of them. This is a slippery, slippery installation produced by media artist Yoichi Ochiai , which you can enjoy. There is a dialogue mode where you can enjoy dialogue with different modes. This is the installation mode. You can experience a mysterious space where sound and light are fused in a space surrounded by mirrors. You will be drawn into the infinitely expanding space created by the distorted mirrors. The exterior is a masterpiece both day and night. The “Future Museum of Life” designed by roboticist Hiroshi Ishiguro is amazing. First of all, the movements of the androids are incredibly human-like. Also, the choices people will make about their lives 50 years from now were presented to us today, which really made me think. It’s a pavilion that you can’t see without crying. Zone 3 introduces an android from 1000 years in the future . The “Dynamic Equilibrium of Life” produced by biologist and author Shinichi Fukuoka is a very eye-catching building. Inside the building, 320,000 LED bulbs called “Clasula” project the story of the birth of life. After that, Fukuoka played a video explaining dynamic equilibrium at the pavilion. Wow, it was quite a brain-teasing pavilion! Earth Mart was created by broadcast writer and Kyoto University of Arts Vice President Koyama Kundo. The exterior has a charming thatched roof, and in the first room we watched a video. In the back room was the “Life Floor,” where the number and amount of eggs a person will eat in their lifetime was displayed as an actual object, and when you stand in front of the Life Cash Register, your face transformed into a vegetable or an animal, which you can enjoy. In the next future floor, there was sushi made by a virtual sushi chef and lots of ingredients from the future. In the last room, we were drawn in by the video projected on a large plate in the center . We experienced “An Adventure Through Life” ANIMA!, directed by animation director Kawamori Shoji !! Once inside, the attraction begins by searching for the spot where the floor is vibrating. The vibrations are transmitted in time with the movements of the video, and staff members call out to everyone to jump at the same time. It’s so much fun , and before you know it, the time has flown by. There are 13 private pavilions, including pavilions by major Japanese companies and organizations. The Power Pavilion by the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan First, each person goes around with a glowing egg. After watching a video in the next room, they go upstairs and try various games. You can see their results later. When the time is up, the egg will glow white, which means it’s time to leave. After learning about electricity in the room next door with the large monitor, take a look! This fantastic light and sound is a spectacular work of art woven together by countless LEDs. The Mitsubishi Miraikan, presented by the Mitsubishi Group, uses video to introduce the beginnings of life to the future, with the theme of “Connecting a vibrant Earth to the future.” Unfortunately, filming of the footage being screened was prohibited, so we are unable to show it to you. The Gundam Pavilion, operated primarily by the Bandai Namco Group, features a real Gundam in front of the pavilion. Its official name is the Gundam Next Future Pavilion . After watching future mobile suits in action in a room lined with monitors, you will then enter an orbital elevator connecting the space station to the ground and head to the space station. At the space station, you can witness the battle with the Zeong, and from the spaceship that made an emergency escape, you can see the battle between the Gundam and the Zeong. The realism, immersion, and entertainment value here are incredible! Gas Pavilion Ghost Wonderland, sponsored by the Japan Gas Association, is an entertainment pavilion where you can wear XR goggles and have an exciting experience looking towards the future, guided by ghost Mitchie. It is also a pavilion with a strong message, raising the issue of global warming and communicating solutions in an easy-to-understand way. This is a joint project between the Iida Group and Osaka Public University. The material used for the exterior of this building is Nishijin-ori, which incorporates the latest technology. After watching an introductory video in the first room, you can see a model of a future city in this large room. It makes you feel like the future world that appears in Doraemon is coming true. Pasona Pavilion, run by the Pasona Group, a major human resources service company, will welcome you with Atom. The first zone is the “History of Life Zone.” This is the IPS heart. This is the IPS myocardial sheet. Atom and Black Jack also appear. You can see what life will be like in the future here. The NTT Pavilion, run by the NTT Group, has the theme of “Traveling through Time and Space.” Zone 1 introduces the development of communication technology to date and what will be possible in the future, such as transmitting presences and atmosphere, through various videos. Next, in Zone 2, you can wear 3D glasses and watch a video by Perfume connecting the 1970 Osaka Expo with the 2025 Osaka Expo . Zone 3 uses scanned images of ourselves to convey a message. At the Sumitomo Pavilion, operated by the Sumitomo Group, you’ll first be given a lantern at the entrance and watch an explanatory video. Next, you’ll enter the forest, where a tense video is projected onto the screen. From there, you’ll walk through a dark forest with your lantern. There’s a special space like a secret room, and a story that you can see when you place your lantern. The final part is a collaboration between video and dancers, though photography is prohibited here. The Blue Ocean Dome, operated by the Nippon Foundation, promotes the importance of considering environmental issues . The first room features a giant, ultra-water-repellent, three-dimensional art piece, where you’ll lose track of time as you watch the water flow as if it were alive. Next, you’ll enter the largest dome in the center of the pavilion and watch a video on a large spherical screen. The content of the pavilion is thought-provoking, addressing the pollution problems facing the ocean . Monster Hunter Bridge, operated by Capcom Co., Ltd., is located in the XD Hall at the back of the Osaka Pavilion. You can experience a world of monsters through 360° video and sound, a vibrating floor, and AR devices. You can sometimes see monsters fighting each other up close, and attacking monsters pop out, creating a truly impressive experience. This is quite interesting, but photography is prohibited inside, so I can’t show you any of it. There are two major events in the evening. The first is the fountain show “Blue and Night Rainbow Parade,” which entertains with a collaboration of fountains, music, and images projected onto the fountain. It was temporarily closed, but… As of August, you can see it! The other is the drone show. It’s a dynamic show in which 500 to 1,000 drones float in the night sky, depicting stories and themes in the sky with three-dimensional movements. With flashing lights and changing colors, you can see a new and exciting performance that is different from fireworks. There are two official shops at the East Gate and West Gate, and they are expected to be quite crowded from the evening onwards. Pavilions are generally open until 9pm, shops until 9:30pm, and the official shops until 9:45pm. The Expo closes at 10pm. Thank you for watching until the end. What do you think?
