Um lugar DESCONHECIDO no Brasil – SERTÃO do PIAUÍ – S12/EP13

Le Cappel, he’s nowhere to be seen, I’m going to see what happened. What happened? Hey guys, Thiago speaking, starting another video for the channel, live here from Cristino Castro, in the state of Piauí. We’re here at Nei’s hotel, on the side of the road. Look at that mountain range in the background, how beautiful. There’s a pool here, and on the other side, where the bikes are, there’s another little pool, amazing. This was R$200 per room, or R$100 each. And today’s goal is to leave Cristino Castro and go to São Raimundo Nonato or Caracol, to visit the Serra das Confusões park, here in the state of Piauí. Watch the next scenes. The mess… It’s dark here. Le Cappel has already come down, to have coffee or to check out the bikes. Look at him here. So, do you like your bike without a fender? It’s lovely. That was dirt, I removed it… I washed the pads, washed the caliper… And it stopped making noise, actually… It stopped making noise. We’ve already done maintenance, battery… Everything’s fine, the flame arrestor here worked, so the engine steam comes from down there and passes through here, and here, only letting the steam pass… And it doesn’t fill up with oil here in the air box, consequently, it stopped draining the oil, reducing the oil. I tied this fuel hose here so it’s not near the exhaust. Checking the tire pressure now. The motorcycle’s flame arrestor, Lê’s, is here, the hose comes from under the engine, makes this loop, passes through there… and goes up here. Spot on, GPS indicating the destination city, get the glove here. Start the Tenebrosa, open the tap here. I put a master switch here, for the GPS, it worked really well. Le Cappel, lost the glove, – put the motorcycle here in front – he went to the bedroom to see if it was there. I came to the shade. Okay, so what’s the idea? The idea is to head to São Raimundo Nonato, where Serra da Capivara Park is, but we’re not going there. And from there, we’ll head to Caracol, one of the towns that provides access to Serra das Confusões. So our goal is to go to Serra das Confusões and explore a bit more. Stop at the gas station and fill up our water bottles, as gas stations usually have those drinking fountains. Here without water is crazy, traveling without water on the road. If something happens and we need to exert ourselves physically, water is essential. So, let’s go. He couldn’t find the glove; it must be in… in his luggage, but now, to dismantle all this… Here, we haven’t even entered the town; this Nei hotel is right on the road, here. There’s a place, about 40 km down the road, called Poço Violeto. It’s a water fountain that just gushes… and it just shoots straight up. Let’s go there to see it, here in Piauí. I’d like to mention some of the channel’s supporters: Vital Card Travel Insurance, the only provider I found that doesn’t require an additional premium for motorcycle travel. You can get insurance directly through the link in the description, and at the end, use my discount coupon, thinoronha. You choose the plan that suits your trip. Motorcycle insurance, BNP Seguros. Get a quote from Eduardo; he’ll find a good option for you, whether for your car, motorcycle, home, or truck. Alltracks have amazing top boxes, very robust, waterproof, and provide greater protection for our luggage. Wolf – these thermoses I’ve been using for a long time are from Wolf. They allow us to drink fresh or cold water during a trip, especially in a hot place like this. And finally, if you want to support the channel by becoming a member, as a reward, I ‘ll make all the videos available in advance to channel members. These highways that pass through cities require a lot of patience, because there are speed bumps and lots of trucks. And, it would even be possible to overtake here, but with the double lane, normally, the chance of being inspected is greater. Not that I’m encouraging you to do this when there’s no traffic control. It’s just a comment. And the brakes are… okay now. I’ll grab the bottle and fill up. Stocked up on water, we continue. Next stop, Poço Violeto. It’s now 8:30. Let’s go, may God bless today, may we overcome the day’s challenges, record some cool content for you, and enjoy the trip too. The Le Cappel partnership on these motorcycles is being really amazing. Straight from here in the Northeast. Guys, I’ve already seen the sign here for Poço Violeto; it must be around here. That’s right there. I wonder where the entrance is? I think it’s this way. Is this the way to get in? It’s right on the side of the road, but there’s a restaurant there; you just have to go around back. Look at them there… gushing. In the middle of Piauí, water gushing. Impressive. There are two… two jets. Let’s see what it says here: “Revitalization of Poço Violeto.” Before entering the pool, pay the fee. Look how unusual it is. Now I need to find out what this is, if it’s an aquifer or something. Let’s see if anyone can explain. Hey, how are you? Can you see the well over there? Yeah, go ahead. And what is this, is it an aquifer? They were “hunting” for oil, and they only found water. They went drilling to look for oil… Yeah, they found water. And 24 hours? 24 hours. Interesting. I’ll go take a look, thanks. Look, what a divine thing. They went drilling to look for oil and found water… and it’s gushing water 24 hours a day. What a beautiful thing. With the pressure of that, huh? It’s smooth, because it’s always wet. Boy, are you brave, huh? So, cold? No, delicious. I turned on the water from the northeast. It’s a beautiful thing of God, something like that. Boy… What a wonderful thing. The guy explained to me that they went drilling for oil, and found water, and it keeps gushing 24 hours a day. Doesn’t it ever stop? No. How cool, “old man,” what a crazy place. Another beautiful… view. We continued. Right next to the road, it’s not even 500 meters of dirt road. This well here, I saw in Marcelo Oakley’s video; I think that’s it. If you put it on YouTube, you’ll find several videos he’s made here in the region, he’s already crossed the Viana Canyons, even the other towns there , from Bom Jesus to Caracol, from Bom Jesus to Morro Cabeça no Tempo. But that’s a tough level, lots of sand, and he knows how to ride. Thanks, Marcelo, for the tips you shared in your videos. Passing through Eliseu Martins here. And another 90, 100 km, Canto do Buriti. And welcome to Canto do Buriti. People ride without raincoats here. It’s not a criticism; I couldn’t do it because of the wind. Buriti Motos. Stop here at the gas station, fill up. How much is the gas? R$5.70. No, that’s alcohol. And look, better clothesline. Hang the clothes here, on the rope here on the trunk, they come swinging. You have to tie them well, so they don’t fly away on the way. I saw Lê’s headlight go out on the way, and when that battery problem happened, which we fixed, which he fixed, he replaced the newer rectifier with the original one. So each motorcycle has two rectifiers, to have as a backup. And he replaced them, and we saw that, in fact, it was the pole that had broken, and now we suspect either the pole broke again, or the original rectifier isn’t charging the battery. Everything is normal, battery wire… the rectifier was connected. We made a stop here, look what I’m going to try: Cajuína. Has anyone tried it? Have you ever had it, Lê? Never. Take a sip, see if it’s good. Let’s see. It’s a soft drink. No, no gas came out when she opened it. True. Mmm, delicious. Good? Fill the glass. Very good. I’ve never had this before. Let’s see this. Yeah, it reminds me of… You squeeze the cashew and suck out the liquid, very good. Do you know these roads around here? I don’t know anything, man. I just look at the GPS. I’m going to São Raimundo Nonato, and it says it’s closed. I’m not sure if it really is. I don’t know, I’m at the gas station, I’m going to Rio Grande do Norte, I’m going. Wow. From there, I’m going to Ceará and then to Pará. “Wow,” that’s it, have a good trip, huh. You too. Full tank, let’s go. Let me ask the guy here. Okay? Do you know the roads around here? I don’t know anything, man. Are you from the south? Are you from Rio Grande do Sul? No, I’m from Santa Catarina. You have an accent. Are you from there? I’m from São Paulo. The thing is, I want to go to São Raimundo Nonato, and Google Maps says the road is closed. I’ll ask someone. Wait a minute, the guy’s here, they know everything there. I’ll ask here ahead. Thanks, thanks. And let’s go, 11:30 in the morning. Here, towards São Raimundo Nonato, 110 km. Look at this road, can you believe it’s in the countryside of Piauí, old and war-torn? Lê Cappel doesn’t show up, I’ll see what happened. I think he stopped in the shade there, if I’m not mistaken. That’s right. Let me pull over here. What happened? It’s failing. It’s failing. It’s failing? Yeah, it’s failing, and when I stopped, it’s very hot, it has a leak. Your bike isn’t failing, is it? No. Is the hose connected… Is it hot? Is it attached to the spark plug? The spark plug might have burned out. Guys, coil… It’s an ignition coil… What do you call this? Ignition coil. In the middle of where we are? In the middle of Piauí. Piauí. It’s scorching hot. There wasn’t a shadow. Dude, will this fit on this wire? It’s hot, huh? Grab it with pliers. You didn’t put your helmet on the ground, no one’s going to stop to help. Guys, this screw here is threaded into the copper. We have a spare coil, but let’s see if this one, the one on the bike, will work. Now, why this happened, we don’t know. I imagine, I can’t say for sure, because of the heat, it started to soften. Something fell on the ground, made of metal. Is the wire connected, right? Is it hot? Very hot. You could fry an egg here on this asphalt. Did the battery die? Yes. It won’t start. Why? Because it needs the road. Hey, Lê Cappel… It did. Challenges. Challenges, in each state, people face a different challenge. Different, in each state it’s a challenge. We continue. For those unfamiliar with the Argentine Chaco, it’s exactly like this: intense heat, a straight stretch, and all this vegetation all around. Arriving here, in São Raimundo Nonato. Look at the beauty of these hills here, God’s beautiful thing. I don’t know if this is already part of Serra da Capivara National Park, but the beauty is very similar, the rock formations, remembering that I’ve already been to Serra da Capivara National Park. And welcome to São Raimundo Nonato, Piauí. It’s getting hot, my rear tire is inflated to 30 lbs. On the road, it hits 39. Gas. No? Is there any up ahead? No power. No power? Is there any up ahead? Let’s see if there is any here. R$6.85 for gas. Good? Is there power here? Up there, there’s no power. That one’s a relic, huh. Top it up, regular gas. Okay, then we’ll fill up here. Now… let me put it in the GPS here. Caracol. It’s with THI, both on YouTube and Instagram. Caracol… Off you go… “Speak” everyone. Good people here at the gas station. São Raimundo Nonato. Hey, what’s that, everyone? Is it a goat, a kid? It must be a goat. So what are we going to do? With 5 km to go to Caracol, we’re going to stop and Lê is going to turn the rectifier back on, in the power supply. from his bike, because what actually happened was the coil came loose. So, as a precaution, we didn’t know what caused it, we opted to leave the rectifier unconnected, because maybe it was a coincidence, that we connected the new rectifier and that happened to the coil. So, we don’t know why the coil came loose, or maybe it suddenly got too hot and it was about time for this to happen. So, with 5 km to go, we turn it on and see what happens in those 5 km, until we reach Caracol. Because the only main problem with being without power, in the case of the Teneré, is that there are no lights, and especially the starter; you have to pedal. There are about 7 km to Caracol, to pull over here, see if Le Cappel wants to turn on the rectifier. There’s no shoulder, that’s what’s bad. 6 km to go. Did it turn on? It was disconnected, because we had a problem there with… With the coil, with the pipe, that’s it. So I came without it. So it was normal. It’s a precaution. Because we didn’t know what had happened at the time. Yeah, we couldn’t know. Now I know that there’s no problem there anymore. Now I’ve reconnected the rectifier, which is the spare, not the original, the original one is, here’s the spare. Which is the newest one? Which is the newest one, and now, we’re close. If we need it, we’re close, but we’ll test it, see what happens now, with the rectifier working. Let’s hope everything works out. Here in the middle of the road, we found some shade, a rare thing. Hey, great. And welcome to Caracol. Visit Serra das Confusões National Park. That’s why we came. From the Viana Canyons, if we had crossed, if it hadn’t flooded, we would have come out here. And a much shorter distance than this detour we took. Today, I believe we drove close to 400. And this is the city center… of Caracol. Wow, is it the wrong way? No. Caracol. Everything okay? Now you have to find a place to stay. There’s a Bar São Bento and a guesthouse over there, I don’t know if that’s an option. Go check it out? Up ahead. Is it here? There should be a barbecue at night. Okay, folks, so that’s it, we’re here in Cacoal. There’s a little square here, the church, it’s pretty hot here in front of the city hall, there are some snack bars here. Here’s the sign, we found this one, Pousada Recreio. The bikes will stay here out front for now, and at night, they’ll be stored here at the snack bar, where it says restaurant. In principle, everything’s OK with the bikes. Look at the “fags” there. It seems the electrical problem was fixed on Lê’s bike; mine is oozing a little oil here, but it hasn’t run. The inspection hose is still empty. The flame arrestor is working. So, is your bike fixed? Fixed, it worked, it hasn’t failed since. It wasn’t the rectifier, it was the suppressor cable in the pipe, which was actually breaking. Now it’s time to rest, and tomorrow we’ll see if we can tackle Serra das Confusões, with the Tenerés, Brook Shields, and Tina Turner. That’s it, folks. If you liked this video, leave a like. If you’re not subscribed, subscribe. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, @thinoronha and Le Cappel, and until the next video. Thanks, and I’m off…

Neste episódio saímos de Cristino Castro e fomos para Caracol, no Piauí. Passamos no Poço Violeto e também tivemos problema elétrico na moto.
