【静岡・焼津観光】魚河岸グルメと港町さんぽ|小川港・さかなセンター・焼津神社まで
Hello everyone, this is Ecotabi. Today I’m in Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture. It’s 7:52 in the morning. I’m going to eat a seafood bowl at the fishing port. I’ve arrived at Ogawa Fish Market. It took about 30 minutes by bus and foot from JR Yaizu Station. Yaizu is one of the top port towns in Japan for the amount of tuna and bonito landed. I’ll go to Ogawa Port Fish Market, which has good reviews. The inside looks like this. You order with a food ticket. The menu is lined up on the wall with photos. Hmm, what should I get? I’d like seafood, but udon and curry look good too. In the end, I ordered this seafood bowl. It was 1,300 yen. It’s topped with tuna, red sea bream, sweet shrimp, marinated mackerel, bonito, tuna, leek, and egg. It’s good with plenty of ingredients. Phew, thank you for the meal. I’m full, so I’m going to take a walk. A short walk from Ogawa Fishing Port, we came across a park called “Fishuna Waterside Park.” A sandbox with pure white sand. And it was quite large. It looked like someone was playing there. The park faces the sea. The sea is calm. I see, it seems like you can catch black porgy and sea bass. There was a small observation space in the park. The park looks like this. This park is said to be a sacred place for lovers. Wow. We continued walking and walking. This pond? It seems there are moray eels. Near the park was a deep water museum. It was still before opening time. It seems that spider crabs and giant isopods are on display here. A little further on, we came across an exhibition room called “Umishiru” at the Shizuoka Prefectural Fisheries Technology Research Institute. It seems to be free, but it was also before opening time. We went further. A manhole with a bonito design. We came across the Yaizu Fisheries Cooperative Association. There are two Yaizu fishing ports, Yaizu Port and Ogawa Port, and this is the Yaizu Port. There is a small shrine next to the fishing port. The city hall has come up. It is new and impressive. It seems to be making a lot of tax revenue. There is a hot spring stand. It seems to be called “Totoyu”. The bonito character is cute. Even the clock has a fish design. There is a picture book and toy museum near the city hall. It is rare. It seems to have about 7,000 picture books. There is also a stylish cafe on the first floor. I returned to the shopping street in front of the station. There is a mermaid on this bridge. It is still before 10 o’clock, so there are no people in the shopping street. It is a magnificent bridge. There is also a Starbucks in Yaizu. The Yaizu Fish Center is located a little away from Yaizu Station. I think that the Ogawa Fishing Port and Yaizu Fishing Port that I visited earlier are not for the general public, and this Fish Center is a market for the general public. It is a large shiitake mushroom. Maybe because it is still morning, there are no people… You can also eat inside the market. It is a little expensive. I am not hungry and I don’t have anything to buy, so I think it’s about time to leave. As I was walking, a propeller plane came out. And a jet plane over there!? This is Hasegawa, a plastic model company. So this plane is a model? Amazing! This is Koishikawa Park near JR Yaizu Station. A steam locomotive is on display. It was put on display to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the railway. You can go inside. It seems like it’s okay to touch it. Hmm. What… It’s cool. I’d like to see Yaizu Shrine before I leave. This shrine is said to have been founded over 1600 years ago. Unusually, it enshrines Yamato Takeru no Mikoto as its main deity. I wonder if Yamato Takeru no Mikoto really existed? This stone is a gravel. It’s the stone that appears in “Kimigayo”. By the way, this one is said to be Yamato Takeru no Mikoto. Recently, there are many places where water comes out automatically. This is Emperor Jimmu, who is said to be the first emperor. This shrine has such a long history, including Emperor Yamato Takeru and Emperor Jimmu, that I don’t feel any affinity with it. I feel closer to the cow. This is the main hall. It’s simple, but has a sense of dignity. By the way, the name of this place, “Yaizu,” is said to come from the legend of a fire that Yamato Takeru, in his eastern expedition in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, was attacked by bandits and escaped by setting fire to the enemy’s house . The place is written as “Yakiyari” in the Kojiki and “Yaizu” in the Nihon Shoki. Well, I think it’s time to go to the next place. This is what the front of the station looks like. This is the end of today’s video. Thank you for watching. If you like it, please subscribe to the channel and give it a high rating.
