【東京の避暑地】癒しの奥多摩を日帰り観光｜御岳山ケーブルカー｜澤乃井園

A cool half-day trip to Tokyo’s summer resort to forget the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Unable to bear the early summer heat, I went to Okutama, the deepest part of Tokyo, in search of coolness . Since it seemed inconvenient to take the train, I rented a car at Hachioji Station. I parked at the Kanzanji parking lot and went to Sawanoi Garden. I didn’t have a plan, but all of this route can be accessed by train or bus. The cicadas are already singing, and it’s the beginning of summer. I went down and reached a bridge . Have you decided on your summer plans? Rafting is good, isn’t it? Everyone was having fun going down the river. Barbecues, summer festivals, fireworks, festivals. Reading books and watching movies in a cool room . What should I do this summer? Since I’ve come all the way to the river, I want to touch the water . I found a tadpole! I got off, but it was hard to get back up. I was glad I could touch the water. I was thirsty so I went to “CAFE Shizuku” and ordered a plum soda and iced coffee. It felt good. The leaves look beautiful in autumn. Time passed slowly, which made me think I was in Tokyo. It was about time to go next. I saw the sign for the cable car and came here. From “Takimoto Station” I headed to “Mt. Mitake Station”. I wonder what is at the top? It’s hard to describe, but it’s a pretty steep slope . We climbed the steep slope smoothly. Our destination, “Mt. Mitake Station,” is 831m above sea level. We came to a very high place. We were blessed with good weather and the view was amazing. (I saw this dog earlier…) It seems that you can also take the lift from here . It seems that we were one step too late. Unfortunately, we decided to walk a little. We could see an area called “Sky Village.” There is a lodging called Shukubo run by a Shinto priest, and it is one of the places I would like to stay someday. The road is a little scary. It is cool even in the sun because of the high altitude and the evening. A big tree that looks like it came out of Ghibli. We tried to go as far as we could to Musashi Mitake Shrine on the top of the mountain, which is 30 minutes away. The time for the cable car was approaching, so we gave up on going inside the shrine. We only stayed for about 30 minutes, but it was good to go. We found out later that this is a shrine where you can worship with your dog as “Oinu-sama”. Even if you go on a quick trip, it’s still fun. I hope you have a good time this summer. Thank you for watching.

八王子駅から1時間弱のドライブ、見慣れた東京の街並みから一変して大自然が待っていました。
予定は決めずぶらぶらするつもりが、ケーブルカーに乗ってしまったので後半は時間を気にしながら、慌ただしい1日になってしまいました。
JR青梅線でのアクセスもでき、気軽に行ける「便利な田舎」の奥多摩。
