Good morning! This time, it’s a solo sightseeing trip in Osaka! First, I’m heading to Okayama Station by bus. From Okayama Station, I’ll take the Shinkansen to Osaka. I’ve arrived at Okayama Station. Ticket purchased successfully. One-way fare is 5,940 yen. I’ll be boarding the Sakura Shinkansen. The One Piece-themed Shinkansen has arrived on the opposite platform. The Shinkansen is about to arrive. Here comes the Shinkansen. Scenery from the train window. We’ve arrived at Shin-Osaka Station! First, let’s head to Osaka Castle for sightseeing! Transferring to a train toward Osaka Station. The train has arrived. Now transferring to the Osaka Loop Line. Arrived at Osakajokoen Station. The station exit looks stylish. Osakajokoen Station. Let’s walk toward Osaka Castle~ Found a lovely café space. Even from here, the main keep looks majestic. Along the way, there was an event called Osaka Gourmet Expo 2025. Let’s take a quick peek at the event. Indoor entrance. Inside, there were lots of dining spaces. Is that a sea bream hanging up there? Outside, many food stalls were lined up. Everything looks incredibly delicious! Osaka Castle is just around the corner. Entering now! The weather is great and the castle tower looks beautiful. Is that a sightseeing boat on the water? There were many foreign tourists. Fast-forwarding. Osaka Castle has five layers and eight floors. The inside is a museum. Let’s buy an admission ticket. Admission for adults is 1,080 yen. Photography is not allowed in the keep, so I’ve moved to Hokoku Shrine. You can see a statue here. It’s a statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This torii gate looks very old. This is the main hall. The wind chimes were beautifully displayed. Wishes are written on the wind chimes. The sound is really pleasant. This is the moat of Osaka Castle. Now we’re heading to Shinsaibashi for a meal! We’ve arrived at Morinomiya Station. Let’s go to Shinsaibashi. Train route map. Taking the train bound for Shinsaibashi Station. The train was crowded. (-_-;) Arrived at Shinsaibashi Station! Now entering Shinsaibashi Shopping Street. So many people are walking around. That is…! The famous Glico sign in Dotonbori. Dotonbori. Kani Doraku (famous crab restaurant). I came to eat okonomiyaki, but… The place I wanted to go was closed. Ajinoya. We’ll have lunch at this restaurant. Takoyaki. It looks fluffy and delicious. There’s a big octopus inside. Okonomiyaki. Kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers). I’m eating the okonomiyaki with butter on top. Double pork okonomiyaki – 1,320 yen. Double pork okonomiyaki – 1,320 yen. Takoyaki with sauce flavor – 528 yen. Assorted 5 kushikatsu – 1,078 yen. Even tastier with mayonnaise! Thank you for the meal. Next, we’re heading to Tennoji, where Tsutenkaku Tower is located. The train has arrived. We’ve arrived. I won’t visit this time, but Tennoji Zoo is also recommended for sightseeing. Let’s walk toward Shinsekai. Looks like a shop where you can play archery games. Speaking of Osaka, mixed juice is really famous. Found a retro video game store. There are so many games I remember from my childhood. Do you recognize any of them? If you do, please let me know in the comments! There was a shooting game.
You can get a prize if you shoot and knock it down. Look! It’s Billiken here! A mysterious-looking capsule toy machine. There was another shooting game shop.
Is it trending? Turn this corner and you’ll reach Tsutenkaku Tower. I got tired of walking, so I stopped by McDonald’s. Limited-time lemon squash shake. Kura Sushi. Now then, off to Tsutenkaku Tower! Oh no!
I missed the last admission time and couldn’t enter! Since I couldn’t go into Tsutenkaku, I came to Spa World for the sauna. Spa World is located right near Tsutenkaku. For 1,500 yen, you can stay almost all day.
They provide loungewear and towels, so it’s great for relaxing after sightseeing. The shaved ice after the sauna was also delicious. After the sauna, I had ramen at Kamukura for dinner. Delicious ramen with soft-boiled egg topping – 920 yen. This is where I’ll stay tonight. One night without meals
10,820 yen. Picked up amenities at the lobby and headed to the room. Looks like there’s a large public bath as well. The room was very clean. This morning, I visited Isshin-ji Temple nearby. This Niomon Gate is the main gate of Isshin-ji Temple, a Jodo sect temple in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City. Because of its unique look, it’s also called the “Iron Gate.” Main hall. Columbarium and Okotsu Buddha Hall. Words of the month. Now let’s head to Tsutenkaku, which I couldn’t visit yesterday. I can see Tsutenkaku ahead. There were lots of people waiting in line. There are many photo spots. Glico corner. Billiken Hall. There was a Kinnikuman (Muscle Man) corner. The mask looks so cool! Heading to the upper floors by elevator. Inside the elevator. Once on the upper floor, heading to the special outdoor observation deck. Climbing stairs to the outdoor area. Climbing stairs to the outdoor area. You can get a panoramic view of Osaka city. Tsutenkaku has a “Voice Meter” to measure how loud you shout. It was a bit hard to see 💦 It seems there are many kinds of Billiken statues. They were selling various types of omikuji (fortune slips). Going down the stairs to the indoor observation floor. I’d love to visit Expo 2025 in Osaka too. Heading down to the lower floor by elevator. Hitachi and Expo Theater. There were photos of the old Tsutenkaku. This floor features the history of Glico. Can I stop it at exactly 11.11 seconds? I failed… It has a nice retro atmosphere. Is this a diorama of the old area around Tsutenkaku? There was a statue of Chopper! These sweets would make great souvenirs. There was a Pocky photo spot.
Would be cute for couples to take photos here. There’s also a café inside Tsutenkaku. Osaka’s specialty: Mix Juice. That’s the end of the Tsutenkaku tour. Now it’s time to head back.
First, from Tennoji Station to Osaka Station. The train has arrived. Arrived at Osaka Station. Since I had time before the transfer, I had lunch inside Shin Osaka Station. Double main dish lunch with beef skirt steak and char siu egg – 1,210 yen. Double main dish lunch with beef skirt steak and char siu egg – 1,210 yen. Before getting on the Shinkansen, I’ll buy some souvenirs. My personal recommendation is mitarashi dango. Five mitarashi dango for 600 yen,
warabi mochi for 490 yen,
and 30 yen for the brown sugar syrup. The staff was very quick and efficient. Let’s head home with the souvenirs. Heading back to Okayama! Buying a coffee before boarding the Shinkansen. It’s called Shinkansen Coffee.
Maybe it’s a limited edition? Alright, time to board! I also brought some snacks. Let me show you a bit of the inside of the Shinkansen. Washstand. Toilet. Is this the connection between train cars? We’ve arrived at our destination. That’s it for this video. Please like and subscribe! If there’s anywhere you’d like me to visit, please leave it in the comments!
