Today, I actually left with a friend, but she booked the wrong connecting flight time (I found out about that the day before) , so we arrived an hour ahead of her. ㅎ But this friend, this is my 4th time going to Sapporo,,ㅋ My friend booked a bus ticket to Susukino in advance. It’s amazing. There are various covers, so you can put the one you want on. On the way back to the hotel, I bought a crepe Ichiban in Japan because I was obsessed with it. The crepe was so delicious. My mom told me to wear a long padded jacket because it would be really cold, but it wasn’t as cold as I thought. It was quite tiring coming from a layover. I’ll stop looking around for today and quickly go to the public bath to warm up and rest. ㄱㄱ Day 2 I went to the public bath in the morning and came here for breakfast~ By the way, the public bath satisfaction was crazy. From now on, I will definitely go to hotels with public baths. Breakfast is separate from the accommodation fee, so I have to add 2,300 yen per person, but I heard that Vessel Hotel breakfast is famous, so I decided to try it. The university is covered in snow,, but there are lots of trees and it’s nice to look around the scenery. This is a memorial hall, and there are stores and souvenir shops inside, and there are clean restrooms, so it’s good to stop by on the way. There are a lot of crows . I recommend the spicy flavor to Koreans because it’s not spicy at all . After enjoying the ramen, I came to Susukino to see the famous Nika-san. There’s almost no snow in the center of Susukino, so it feels like Tokyo, not Sapporo. I went up to the 2nd floor of the Daiso building across from Nika-san to take a picture! There was a line to take pictures of each other, so I took a lot of pictures with my friends~ On the last day of the trip, I went to the park to go sledding, so I stopped by Daiso to buy a sled. A cute cup that I quickly bought because it was 1,000 won each. Everything at Daiso without a price tag was 100 yen. It was a great deal . I think Daiso is better than Seria. That’s why I thought the store was called Ice Cream Bar. The menu was ice cream + 2 items <3 kinds of whiskey & coffee or 2 kinds of whiskey & waffle>! My friend said the waffle wasn’t that great so we ordered the 3 kinds of whiskey per person (9 glasses in total!) You can choose each whiskey individually but we didn’t know much so we ordered the recommendation. When you order the recommendation, they ask you for the sweet & strong ratio . We ordered 6 sweet and 3 strong! They gave us 1 strong and 1 sweet for free so we had 11 glasses in total! They even served coffee with service cookies. It was my first time drinking whiskey at an ice cream bar. This is how you pour a little whiskey on ice cream and eat it. I was curious so I tried just the whiskey and it was really bitter and tasteless, but when you eat it with ice cream, it’s sweet and delicious like syrup . Each whiskey has a different scent so it’s fun to choose, and the scent of coffee, grape, vanilla, etc. all have their own unique flavors so it’s fun. If you finish the ice cream, you can get a refill ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I guess there was alcohol in it ㅋ It’s a really new experience and I really like it, so I recommend it. It’s on the 2nd floor, so I think most of the gachas are here – Okay, let’s start! My friend wanted to make a snowman, so I was going to make one in front of my lodging. However, as I was making it, I realized that the quality of the snow in Sapporo is very different from that of Korea. It’s not snow that clumps together, but rather crumbly snow like sand . I should say it doesn’t have moisture,, so it doesn’t clump together well. These three snowballs that I made with the utmost care ㅋㅋ It looks like I made a huge giant rice ball . I worked hard on the snowman,,, but it disappeared in one day ㅠ Day 4 Today, we’re finally going on the Biei tour~ We ‘ll meet up at the pick-up location early in the morning and take a bus to Biei. Compared to our trip in mid-January, there wasn’t as much snow in Susukino as I thought . As we rode the bus toward Biei, I saw more and more snowy landscapes. This was the Sapporo I imagined, so it was really fun. Next time, if I have the chance, I’d like to plan a trip to Biei or other parts of Hokkaido after only staying in Susukino for one night . They say this is also a brand made by Karaku! I ordered fried chicken curry with seafood broth + cheese rice. The guide’s story about settling down in Japan was so funny that I kept talking about it. I ate Junpei around 11 o’clock and I was still hungry because I was on an empty stomach . I wonder what kind of delicious parfait will welcome me. I was guided up to the 2nd floor. According to Google reviews, they recently renovated the store. The atmosphere was much hipper than I expected. When I got there, the menu was slightly different. I ordered this one with fruit on it! It looks prettier when I put together the things I ordered with my super cute friends. Fortunately , it’s bigger than I thought. I eat it sparingly, thinking it’ll only be the size of a pea. To be honest, it’s a bit pricey (1878 yen including tax), but there’s a lot of fruit and it’s a parfait that definitely took care of itself , so if the wait isn’t too long, it’s worth coming here once. I don’t drink, so I don’t know if this will cure my hangover . I’ll go back to my lodging after recharging my sugar levels~ I’m the one who came to Don Quijote at 1 AM to shop (+this is my favorite toothbrush) . Why did I suddenly start dubbing,,? I woke up at dawn and felt like I was asleep. Anyway, this jelly is so delicious. Day 5. Today is the day we go to Otaru~~ I was worried that it might snow a lot and the Otaru train wouldn’t run, but surprisingly, it barely snowed during our trip. ㅋ Since it was the weekend, I thought there would be a lot of people, so I left early in the morning. I planned to look around early and come back to Susukino in the afternoon. It was nice to be able to look around the window on the train. But actually, I was a bit tired on the 5th day, so I almost slept. ㅎㅎ Did you know that Otaru is on the seaside? I heard it from a friend, but I forgot again and remembered it on the train ride. We were supposed to get off at Minami-Otaru Station, but all three of us were asleep, so we got off at Otaru Station and are now walking. Ah, it’s nice to see the town~ 📍 Otaru Canal Minatomachi, Otaru, Hokkaido 047-0007 Japan Otaru Canal First! I’ll stop by again later, so I’ll just take a quick look and pass by. I saw a LeTAO store on the way, so I stopped by. They probably sell it at the duty-free shop too, but since Otaru is their main store, a lot of people buy it here. It’s a system where you order first and then sit down! We ordered milk tea recommended by the staff. Caramel milk tea, royal milk tea, milk tea ice cream ㅎㅎ We actively reflected the staff’s recommendation in our order . I ordered the basic milk tea, and my friend ordered milk tea with whipped cream on top, and it was really delicious. It was warm and cozy, which was nice~ Actually, one of the reasons we came to Otaru early was because of this place, but when I looked at Google reviews, there were quite a few comments saying there was a wait. We arrived around the opening time, and luckily it was quite leisurely . The interior lights are all lit by kerosene, so there was quite a bit of an oil smell, but not too bad! The atmosphere was really good, a bit like Harry Potter. It was leisurely now, but an hour later, I saw there was a line . If you’re stopping by on your way to Otaru, I recommend visiting this place as your first stop! I came in because there was a glass craft shop right across from Kitaichi Hall. There were glass crafts that looked like they were made by artisans, and there were also many cups and plates that are good to use at home. After looking at the pretty plates, let’s move on to lunch~ 📍 Waraku Otaru Branch 3-1 Sakaimachi, Otaru, Hokkaido 047-0027 Japan I came to eat sushi for lunch~ I thought there would be a wait here, so I came right when they opened and got in leisurely. There are both tachi-sashimi and table seats. The restaurant was bigger than I thought . They had a variety of cute sushi . They also have a conveyor belt sushi system, and even if they don’t have it here, you can look at the menu and write down your order on a piece of paper. However, if you order on paper, you can order a minimum of 5 pieces. Since there were 3 of us, it was easy to meet the minimum order, so we mostly ordered and ate. Our first order was salmon~ Salmon sushi with onions~ I was curious about the Umai tuna sushi, so I tried it, but it was just okayㅋㅎ My friend ordered mackerel sushi, and in the middle, we also ordered a warm steamed egg~ You can only order steamed eggs, but it was nice to have something warm after eating cold sushi, so I recommend it. The last sushi~ I’ll eat well and go out to see the streets of Otaru! 📍 Miffy Oyatsudo Otaru Branch I found this Miffy shop while walking~ Maybe because it was the New Year, there were a lot of souvenirs like lucky bags . LeTAO, which we stopped by earlier, is mainly a souvenir shop, but this place also operates a cafe. We came for this cake. It feels like mousse is put on top of soft cheese bread? There are many large music boxes, and there was one that played music when you sat down. It felt like this when you sat down and listened! It feels like experiencing ASMR in 3D. Building 2 has a lot of big, old, antique-looking music boxes. Of course, there are a lot of small ones too. The dolphin is pretty, but why is it even cuter in the video? There’s also a music box shaped like the Otaru Clock Tower~ I had to be very careful not to break it. There were definitely fewer people in the annex, so it was nice to look around slowly. Now, let’s go to the main building of the music box shop~ The cute magpie music box is so cute . It ‘s not cute anymore when I see the price. There were so many people, so I went up to the second floor . I wanted to buy this, but I passed because the voltage wasn’t right. There’s also a Ghibli store on the third floor . The store is small and they mainly have OST music boxes rather than Ghibli goods! I looked for a music box from my favorite Ghibli movie, Arrietty, but it wasn’t there. On the way back to Otaru Station, I stopped by a craft shop! They had a lot of small miniatures made of glass. They were really, really small, but they had all the details. I came back to see the canal as part of my itinerary for Otaru . Aren’t you guys cold? The water is so clear that I can see my feet. Cute. I brought some bread to eat before going to the airport tomorrow morning. 📍 Daichi Jingisukan Japan 〒064-0805 Hokkaido, Sapporo, Chuo Ward, Minami 5 Jonishi, 2 Chome−8-9 2nd floor I made a reservation for Jingisukan in advance over the phone from Korea ~ If you don’t make a reservation, there will be no seats, so you absolutely have to make a reservation! Sapporo is also famous for Jingisukan (it seems like there are many famous ones), so my friend found this place while looking up Google reviews. It had good reviews . I ordered two servings of lamb shoulder and one serving of shoulder steak. The thin one is shoulder, and the big chunk in the back is steak! The staff will continue to grill the steak and then cut it for you later. Even though this is a meat restaurant, the ventilation is pretty good and it’s clean, which is nice. Of course, you have to be prepared for the smell to some extent. Plus, the staff are often very friendly . The meat quality is really good and it was more delicious than the lamb I had in Korea. I ordered lemon juice and ate it together and it was heaven. When you order rice, there is basic plain rice and some kind of special rice, but it has real bonito flakes on it and the seasoning is amazing. Finally, the lamb shoulder steak came out . You can’t eat it as is, but you can grill it lightly on the grill and eat it. This is really really delicious!!!!! Everyone took a bite and immediately ordered another . It was truly the best Genghis Khan… I totally recommend it. We came to the park to digest and go sledding. On the second day, we came to Nakajima Park, and there was a hill behind the observatory. I thought it looked good for sledding~ and it turned out that it was actually a place where you could go sledding. They said there was a sled behind the observatory. Of course, just in case, I brought a sled that I bought at Daiso. On the second day of real sledding , there were few streetlights and it was dark , so I was a little scared to stay for too long , but when I got on the sled, the park suddenly looked different . It was a rare experience to go sledding in Sapporo… There were 2-3 sleds in the corner of the observatory. You can use them comfortably and return them. Compared to the video, the hill is surprisingly steep, so it was really fun. I think I went like this about 20 times. First-person perspective. If you come to Sapporo, I highly recommend coming to Nakajima and sledding . This is a store that only does takeout, but a friend found it after seeing a Google review. You can order a latte with the milk you want. A crow I met while waiting for my coffee. Did you also use the university bathhouse? I ordered it hot, so I could taste the milk better and it was nice because it was warm. This is a stationery store next to Parco. It’s called Daimaru Fuji Central. It’s a fairly large stationery store. The first floor has a lot of character goods, stationery, stickers, postcards, etc., and the second floor has a lot of art supplies. The parrots I met in the underground shopping mall are purring. Usually, I go for 3 nights and 4 days, but this 5-night trip gave me more time to relax and I was able to go to all the places I wanted to go, which was nice. I always make travel plans like J, but many of the places that remain in my memory after I actually go are places I went to spontaneously.
