Chicago Best Things to Do in Summer🍨 | Cruise, Aquarium, Art, Markets, Cafes & 🎹FUJII KAZE Live

Hello everyone! Today, I came to Navy Pier to ride a water taxi. We will go from Navy Pier across Lake Michigan to stop number ③. I bought the ticket just before the ride from the vending machine. We’re setting off for a refreshing Lake Michigan cruise! We cruise along, taking in the view of Chicago’s towering skyline. Chicago has many tall buildings, with some over 100 stories high. 50-story buildings are everywhere. After about 10 minutes, we arrive at the first stop, in front of the large Buckingham Fountain. This is where the Lollapalooza festival, one of the largest in the US, was held recently. Japanese artist Fujii Kaze performed here! It was a refreshing cruise lasting just under 20 minutes! This is the Museum Campus along the Chicago lakeshore. It’s a cultural area with aquariums and museums gathered together. Before entering the aquarium, we had a light meal. The Shedd Aquarium, opened in 1930, is a historic aquarium. Its architecture, featuring marble and sculptures, is also a highlight. Next, We’ll return to Navy Pier. A one-day plan of cruise and aquarium. Recommended for sightseeing or holiday plans! This market is held every Saturday morning. We came to the Lincoln Park Market. Shops gather from Chicago suburbs and nearby states. I found honey harvested in Michigan. The large bottle is $20, and I bought blueberry honey! When I come to the market, I tend to end up buying jam or honey. Today, I want to eat bread at the market, so I got coffee first. This is the plaza in front of the MCA Museum held every Tuesday. My target is a long-established bakery. This custard bun sells out quickly if you don’t come early. The shop is located in a suburb called Evanston, so it’s hard to visit, but they seem to sell at various markets. My bread is started to be targeted by pigeons, so I’m gonna move to another spot. Here seems like a calm place to eat. It’s funny to think 26°C (79°F) feels hot… Tokyo is easily 10°C (18°F) warmer than this! Let’s also stop by the beach at Lake Michigan! This lake is so big it could be called an ocean. I should have come with a swimsuit and sandals. Don’t you think the color is the same as Waikiki’s beach? Just a step from the beach, and you’re already in a residential area. Sounds of summer. Next, my top 5 cafes I recently visited in Chicago! The first is a bakery cafe in Old Town. Their baguette is highly recommended. The second is a chocolate shop in River North. I sometimes stop by here when I go to the nearby Trader Joe’s. In summer, the ivy in the courtyard visible through the big windows is lovely. Morning in the North Side. High-rise condominiums are crowded together The third is a chain store, but They serve smoothies for health-conscious folks. Smaller cakes than usual for America. A perfect place for a morning bite. Near Sedgwick station on the CTA train. Looks like graffiti in a tourist spot 💛 After the Lincoln Park Market, I searched for a nearby cafe. It has a homely atmosphere. A large croissant sandwich. Lots of ham and creamy eggs are delicious. I wanted to come again, but There weren’t many people on the street. The fifth is this lovely courtyard. It’s “The Café” at the Art Institute of Chicago. Order at the entrance, then sit wherever you like. You have to enter the museum to come here, but the museum itself is wonderful, I have an annual pass and come often. The balance of fig sweetness and cheese is very delicious. The special summer exhibits have started appearing one after another. This will be irresistible for Impressionism fans! The special Gustave Caillebotte exhibition has begun! Many valuable works are displayed, so don’t miss it! In the evening, I came for a walk along the Riverwalk. Blue Bottle Coffee was unusually empty just before closing. This seat is perfect for zoning out. Chicago drivers have a quick start. Japanese singer Kaze Fujii performed live in Chicago! For some reason, it started late at 11 p.m. Seeing him in such a small theater is pure luck. The opening act was a young orchestra group with a stylish performance. He finally appeared after midnight! He said he wasn’t in his best condition tonight but the crowd went wild over the new song he had just released. He received a Chicago flag with a message from a fan. The outdoor festival the next day was amazing too, but the small venue with about 1,000 people was a more intense experience. By the end, it was already past 1 a.m. I really hope he comes again next year! Late-night shows raise safety concerns, so I recommend arranging door-to-door transportation at night.
