【夏の上高地】早朝 日帰り絶景ハイキング旅|明神池・大正池・河童橋|夜行バス|長野旅行
Chubu Sangaku National Park, Kamikochi, Nagano Prefecture A scenic mountain destination representing Japan with breathtaking views A mountain valley with untouched nature A place loved by the father of modern mountaineering A mountain resort at an altitude of 1,500m that fascinates people Let’s head out in the best season to see the spectacular views 22:00 Tokyo – Takebashi Head to Kamikochi in the early morning on an overnight bus! Three-row (2+1) seats ¥16,000 (fare for the day of travel) Toilets and power outlets included Two service areas along the way Buses heading for various mountains converge here I wonder what mountains the other buses are heading for… 05:20 Kamikochi, Nagano A 7-hour overnight bus ride from Tokyo Arrived at Kamikochi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture Kamikochi is a basin located at an altitude of 1,500m. It has been designated a Special Place of Scenic Beauty and a Special Natural Monument (Natural Protection Area) due to its unparalleled natural scenery and academic value. The area is protected by the Cultural Properties Protection Act, and activities that disrupt the natural environment, such as collecting plants and feeding wild animals, are prohibited . In addition, to protect the environment, there are rules such as restrictions on private car entry and tipping toilets. The temperature is 10.8°C, a clear morning like winter. We’ve arrived in Kamikochi It’s so cold It’s still cold in the morning It’s cold I’m wearing all my clothes The monkeys are here, the monkeys are here These monkeys live in cold regions that are rare in the world They live on a unique ecosystem that feeds on river fish Kamikochi Bus Terminal → Kappa Bridge 0.3km Approximately 6 minutes 05:45 A popular bridge where many people gather from early in the morning This is the fifth suspension bridge since the first drawbridge (1905) It also appeared in Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s novel “Kappa” The name has various origins, including that people crossing the river looked like kappa, and the kappa legend, and the bridge offers a view of the Hotaka mountain range and Mt. Yakedake This time’s trekking plan First, trek towards Myojin Pond! Every time I look up, I am overwhelmed by the majestic Hotaka mountain range. I was curious about the place called Dakezawa Marsh, so I chose the route on the right bank of the Azusa River to Myojin Pond. Kappa Bridge → Dakezawa Marsh 0.5km approx. 10 minutes. Walk along the easy boardwalk through the coniferous forest. Bears are said to sometimes appear. 06:00 Dakezawa Marsh reaches a special time in the morning. The morning sun shines on Mt. Rokuhyaku, and morning mist appears on the water’s surface. A fantastic moment to be seen on a summer morning. Dakezawa Marsh → Myojin Pond/Hotaka Shrine Okusha 2.0km approx. 40 minutes. The original bridge is under repair, so I crossed a temporary bridge. 07:00 Hotaka Shrine, located directly below Mt. Myojin (Hotakadake) Okusha Shrine : A majestic view of Mount Myojin , known since ancient times as the main shrine of the Japanese Alps and widely worshipped as the guardian deity of road safety , directly in front of you. It’s the sacred “place of the gods” where the deity Hotaka-no-Okami descended. I learned about the origins of Kamikochi, the sacred “place of the gods” where the deity Hotaka-no-Okami descended. The “mirror-like pond” that doesn’t freeze even in winter thanks to the underground waters of Mount Myojin offers an atmosphere reminiscent of a Japanese garden. The area began as a small hut built by the pioneer of guided walks, Kamijo Kamonji, on the banks of the pond . Grilled trout, cooked over a hearth, is a popular dish. Take a short break here. The view of the crystal-clear Azusa River and the Hotaka mountain range is spectacular. It’s also nice to come from the left bank. Myojin → Kappabashi Bridge 2.5km About 50 minutes. The left bank route is a generally flat sandy road. Personally, I prefer the right bank route in the early morning. Colorful tents appear among the greenery. The names of the trees and flowers I encountered during my walk tell me about the diverse nature of Kamikochi. A very clear stream where the rain that falls on Mt. Rokuhyaku becomes groundwater and springs up. 08:45 AM. The different expressions of the mountains depending on the location and time are wonderful. A wonderful view of Japan that you will want to visit at least once. A very popular shop. Wait about 15 minutes. Purchase three local Kamikochi delicacies! Kappa croquette (wasabi flavor) ¥350 Kamikochi pudding ¥600. After a short walk, refresh yourself with delicious food with just the right amount of sweetness and beautiful scenery! For the second half, head to Taisho Pond! Kappa Bridge → Weston Monument 1.1km About 20 minutes . Yes, we took a detour from the riverside. To the monument to the “father of modern mountaineering” who shared the joy of mountain climbing. 09:30 British missionary Walter Weston introduced the Japanese Alps and Kamikochi to the world. He was the “father of modern mountaineering” and shared the joy of mountain climbing. Until then, Japan’s mountains had been a place of training. Thanks to Walter Weston and Kamonji Kamijo , mountain climbing and mountain leisure activities as we know them today exist. We continue on through the well-maintained virgin forest for a while . A guide tells us about the roots of Kamikochi on the roadside. The marshland has a different atmosphere from the morning’s Dakezawa. Just before 10am, the number of people heading for Kappabashi Bridge is on the rise. We get off the shuttle bus at Taisho Pond. The approximately 4km course to Kappabashi Bridge is popular, but it’s a bit congested… We arrived at our destination, Taisho Pond , at 10:15 ! Taisho Pond appeared overnight due to the eruption of Mount Yakedake in 1915. The Hotaka mountain range is reflected on the water’s surface like a mirror, a view you’ll want to gaze upon forever . After that, we took the bus to the venue for our gourmet treat! This is Imperial Hotel Price… I think the other store is the lobby lounge? It was about 20 minutes before opening, so we were the fourth group. This old-fashioned retro map. We walked from one end to the other today. Our omelet rice made with eggs from Shinshu and our hash brown beef curry also arrived 🍛 Fukujinzuke | Rakkyo | Nozawana . I’m looking forward to the big beef ♪ I’m struggling with how to pour the roux for the high-end curry . Let’s eat! It was delicious~ I’m satisfied . I’m glad I visited. We head to Kamikochi Highland Bus Terminal at 12:30. Departing Kamikochi Some local buses require advance reservations , but weekend afternoon buses are almost fully booked. I’m glad I booked early… Kamikochi is home to a lot of untouched nature. We were blessed with great weather and it was a fantastic trek. We took a bus and train to Matsumoto. On the way to Shinshimashima we changed onto a short two-car train, which took about an hour. We lined up to transfer from the bus to the train, and there was plenty of time to go to the restroom. We ended our trip with “that voice.” Thank you for watching until the end! We’d be happy if you subscribed to our channel and hit the like button!
