The German Town that Escaped the War
[Music] Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] [Music] Good morning everyone. Welcome to Global Hopper. As I have said in the previous video, Frankfurt doesn’t really have a medieval center. All you see is already been uh rebuilt after the war. However, we’re now in the suburban area called Hers, which is part of Frankfurt. these uh part has miraculously escaped the allied bombing. So what you see today is actually the original building. So let’s go and explore. So everything you hear actually survived the allied bombing and uh they maintained their original structure. Uh it’s about 20 minutes drive depending on traffic from center Frankfurt. Uh so Frankfurt is quite a small city so it doesn’t take long to get here. You can also take a tram or a bus to get here from uh center uh Frankfurt. Wow. So all the structure here preserved. Wow. All right, guys. I’ve been checking on Google what this tower is all about. Couldn’t really have uh find many reliable information. One tells me that this is a former technical administration building. Whatever that means, I have no idea, but it definitely looks very, very striking. Okay, guys. Google decided to work now. So this one is in fact a hers castle. Uh it looks like a light tower but it’s actually a castle. Um it’s used to be the residence of uh achish of mans uh which is a little city very close to where we are now. Uh it was built in the 16th century. So yeah it does not feel like a castle doesn’t it? It feels like light tower but it looks really cool. Okay. So, this is old man’s or old Frankfurt. This is what Frankfurt used to look like. Uh, but the Frankfurt today is different as you can see from the previous video. Uh, but this is proper authentic. Looks stunning. Wow. Beautiful place and this is actual resident as well. So this is the castle of attrabishop of man’s mains. There you go. So this is the tiny tiny square uh people eating on fast girl. Very pretty. This is so cool. I actually have a well in the middle of the square. seems to have constructions everywhere in this uh spot of Frank uh Frankfurt. I was going to say Frankenstein. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Okay guys, that’s the end of the Hershe video. It’s a very very small place. Uh but if you are ever in Frankfurt, this is definitely a detour that you should consider. 20 minutes drive is not that long at all. Um have a lunch in the market square. There’s a well in the market square. It looks just amazing. So definitely try it out. Anyway guys, I’ll see you in the next
