Hello everyone, welcome to Chicken Leg Cat Channel. In this episode, we’ll be introducing a restaurant in Hong Kong called Niu Zhan. Niu Zhan has many branches. This time, we’re at the Kwun Tong branch. They’re having a 4-hour all-you-can-eat and drink hot pot lunch special from 12 noon to 4 pm. They have several set menus, and this time we’re going with the cheapest. Weekdays, Monday to Friday, it’s $168 per person. Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, it’s $178. There ‘s also a service charge. Niu Zhan specializes in hot pot, so you can choose a soup base . Besides hot pot, you can also… There are a variety of snacks, desserts, and drinks, which I’ll introduce one by one later. The restaurant environment is also spacious and comfortable. There are many seats in the dining area , and the seats are reserved to ensure privacy . There is also enough air conditioning here , so everyone can enjoy hot pot comfortably. We saw this poster in the restaurant . It turns out that they also have free – flowing draft beer . The restaurant’s signage is also very clear, telling everyone where the self-service area and restroom are. They also provide free wifi service. There are also disposable aprons for guests to use below, so you don’t have to worry about getting your clothes dirty. Let’s eat at NiuZhan. I recommend everyone download the Ricepon app in advance and join NiuZhan. Members will also receive different discounts and rewards. If you want to eat at a better price, you can use their welcome coupons like I did. There are four types of welcome coupons. This time I will use the free broth roll. After we sat down, the waiter gave us this receipt. There is a QR code on the receipt. You can just scan the QR code with your phone to place your order. There will be a round plate on the table for us to eat in the self-service area. First, when we come out, we will see the self-service seasoning area with 12 different seasonings for you to mix and match. If you can’t think of a combination, don’t worry. There is a sauce mixing guide. Just follow the steps. The hot plate section has several hot dishes for you to choose from , including the spicy crayfish you see now, Korean fried chicken legs , and fried hash browns. This cabinet is filled with different hot pot ingredients , including fried steamed buns, fried luncheon meat, fried dough sticks, fried taro , fried bell peppers , and fried fish skin. Next to them, we’ll see bowl-shaped shark’s fin , Tainan braised pork, chives, and pig blood. They also provide white rice , so you can mix the braised pork with other dishes. Here, there’s taro, coconut milk, sago, conch , pineapple flower, and chicken soup. On the other side, we’ll see the cold salad section with several fruits, including rambutan, pineapple , watermelon, and orange . Side dishes include kimchi , radish, wood ear salad, and conch meat. Next to them, there’s taro, spicy pork tongue, pomelo, radish , and Chinese salad. There’s also a hot pot condiments section nearby , with lotus root slices , kelp knots , fried tofu, yam , wide noodles, lettuce slices , pig blood , sweet potato noodles, and potato slices. Why are there so few hot pot condiments? There are different kinds of noodles here , including Demae Itcho, Korean instant noodles , and Indomie noodles. There’s also udon and Hsinchu rice noodles. There are many different kinds of meatballs here , including egg dumplings, beef tendon balls, treasure fish balls , and many other hot pot condiments nearby, including shredded taro, Korean rice cakes, tofu, and so on. The more unique ones are drunken chicken wings. On the other side are shredded taro, fried sticks, bamboo bags, tofu , squid , eggs, and crab sticks. This is the vegetable section. There are probably over a dozen kinds of vegetables, some of which are rare, like the purple ones. I’ve never seen kale and cucumber flowers before , and peanut sprouts are pretty rare. They also have cordyceps flowers, shiitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, baby cabbage, and more. After seeing so much food , why not check out their self-service beverage area? They have a wide selection of drinks, all of which are all-you-can-drink. They also have several canned beer options . In addition to bottled and canned drinks, they also have paper-wrapped drinks for everyone to choose from . There are over ten options , and they even have Niu Zhan’s own Taiwanese bubble tea. The restaurant is very considerate. For those who can’t get cold drinks , consider the warm drink cabinet. On the right, we see coconut water, orange juice, and sweet drinks. The Sugarcane Water Restaurant also has a coffee machine. This coffee machine is amazing. In addition to coffee drinks, they also have milk tea and Milo chocolate. Some friends like to drink hot tea. They provide tea bags of sencha and genmaicha . In addition to the beer mentioned above, plum wine and sake are all-you-can-drink. They also have a hot sake machine for those who like hot drinks. Their Hoegaarden draft beer is unlimited and you can pour it yourself. There is also a dessert area. The desserts in the freezer are also unlimited. There are several kinds of cakes, puddings , tofu puddings, cheese, etc. There is also a refrigerator filled with different types of ice cream. You can eat whatever you like . There are four flavors of Haagen-Dazs ice cream here. Besides ice cream and popsicles, Niu Zhan also has a soft serve ice cream machine where you can enjoy pouring ice cream. There are flavors like cloud noodle and chocolate. I chose the mixed flavor. After looking at the self-service area, let’s take a look at the restaurant’s ordering interface. First, we need to choose the soup base. As mentioned earlier, they have a welcome discount . This time, we used the coupon for free yuanyang soup base. It was originally worth 48 yuan, but after using it, we got the free soup base. At first glance, there are more than a dozen soup bases to choose from . This time, we chose the Niu Zhan secret spicy hot pot and the winter melon, scallop and pork bone hot pot soup bases. If you don’t like spicy food , I don’t recommend the spicy hot pot. It’s still a bit spicy. Although we ordered the cheapest set meal at 168 yuan this time , they actually have American shoulder blade. The color and texture of the American shoulder blade are very beautiful. The piece next to it is Brazilian beef tongue. Like the shoulder blade, it’s all-you-can-eat. In addition to the beef, the American pork loin slices are all-you-can-eat. Since it’s all-you-can-eat , of course you have to order more dishes, otherwise how can you eat enough ? It turns out they also have beef tendon and Taipei pig blood. I love pig blood the most . The pig blood here is delicious. I took a lot of it myself. There are also Korean fried chicken legs . I eat them with wine, which is a good choice. There are also cold salads and appetizers. I took them all. Since I came here for beer, I decided to try Asahi’s draft lemon beer. It was out of stock for a while when it was first released last year. It actually had a piece of raw lemon in it , and it tasted a bit like a lemon cocktail. Those who haven’t tried it should give it a try; it’s quite enjoyable. For those who don’t drink , I personally recommend their cold brew tea and their duck shit lemon tea, both of which are quite delicious. If you need soup base, you can just grab a pot of soup base and add it yourself. After the hot pot , of course, you have to have dessert. I picked up a few desserts from the buffet area, and the most important one was Haagen. Dazs’s ice cream is all-you-can-eat, and of course, we had to try my favorite fruits , pineapple and watermelon. We ate until about four o’clock and left. This time, the all-you-can-eat and drink at Niu Zhan for four hours , including a 10% service charge, came to over 180 yuan per person . It was a great deal, so it’s a great choice for a group of people to come here for hot pot, drinks, and chat . Finally, I want to teach you how to get to Niu Zhan’s branch in Kwun Tong. First, take the MTR to Kwun Tong Station and find Exit A2. From Exit A2, we enter the APM shopping mall and walk straight ahead on the right. We soon see the Venchi store, next to which is an escalator. We take the escalator down to the ground floor. After exiting the mall, keep walking straight ahead on the left. You need to cross the road along the way, so be careful of cars as you walk. Soon, we will see One Pacific Center, the Asia-Pacific Center. We enter and there is an elevator lobby . The elevator is on the sixth floor, and that’s where we’ll introduce Niu Zhan today.
