OSAKA Blew Us Away šÆšµ How JAPAN Will Steal Your Heart!
It’s not New Year’s Eve guys. Just to let you know, one way traffic. We’ve even got peopleĀ
controlling traffic out here. Imagine! Good evening from another one here in Japan. We’reĀ
still in Osaka. We came back again. Parked ourĀ campervan Yoshi because we had to come back and visit DotonboriĀ at night. Osaka at night. See what’s going on because this place is so lively, so colorful, soĀ
energetic. I mean, this is the place to come for all the night life, for the restaurants, for theĀ
bars. This is Dotonbori. So this is supposed to be buzzing. Party central here in Osaka, baby. WeĀ
decided to start our night off here. Osaka has been a bit rainy, but so far the weather hereĀ
today has been dry. Which way are we going? Because honestly, this area is huge.Ā
We’re going this way here. This way. Okay, let’s do it. That is I guess where the Glico
running, man. So this is where all of the craziness is happening right now. Like if youĀ
guys go through this little uh parade of shops, you’ve got literally everything under the sun.Ā
Tourist central 101. Shop till you drop. It’s where everybody is. You can see from just howĀ
busy it is. Is this a cue to get in the shop? I believe so. All right. Wow. What is going on?Ā
Are they free shoes? Onitsuka Tiger. I’m wearing their t-shirt right now. I am actually hungry. I amĀ
on the lookout for food. The giant crabs here. All right. I reckon last time which when we cameĀ
here we thought it was absolutely mental. But this is 10 times more than what it was last timeĀ
because it was actually pissing it down. It was raining. But right now because it’s not rainingĀ
the town now it’s crazy. Everywhere you see everywhere you go so much color. Wait for it. WaitĀ
for it. If you haven’t seen the previous vlog, are you ready? Are you ready? And lo andĀ
behold, this is synonymous to Saka. When you look at Maka on Google, this is literallyĀ
what comes up. Like Big Ben for London, Time Square for New York, the Ga running manĀ
for Osaka. I have a question though. Why is it so famous? Like why did it so famous? Just likeĀ
that. Give us your best impression. Two, three. So, why is it so famous? I have no idea. IĀ
actually have no idea, but I just know that it is. So, maybe I need to have a quick look atĀ
that. I mean, it is one of them things that has been going on forever and it’s just become likeĀ
symbolic. That’s true. For now, right, if you go to the right Oh, I was just about to comment onĀ
the exact same thing, but on the right hand side, this place is buzzing. This is supposed to be theĀ
most happening place. So, we thought, duh, got to be done. Can’t come to a saka without doing that.Ā
And down there, it’s bar. This kind of reminds me of New York. Let’s have a look here as well. GiveĀ
you guys an idea about the canals and stuff here, too. Give me one sec. You can go on the littleĀ
canal tour as well. That’s kind of cool. Right. Maybe we might do that later on. This is sick. Oh,Ā
no. I thought that was Mario Kart then. They do do that here. Yeah, they do have go-karts here inĀ
Osaka. We might actually do that. We did that in um Shibuya. That was so fun. Epic. This is aĀ
great little photo spot. There’s honestly so much shopping as well, like to do around here. IĀ
thought it was mostly restaurants, but I see over on the side as well, there’s a huge karaoke placeĀ
as well. Guys, this is a spot. You got to come hit this place up if you’re in Osaka, for sure. It’sĀ
wild. I’m a bit overwhelmed. These streets are even crazier. I think this is one of the reallyĀ
popular shopping streets. And of course, we have the golden arches. They are absolutely everywhere.Ā
But if you love shopping, you’re going to love this spot, that’s for sure. Speaking of food,Ā
we have some uh food just on the side over here. And also, do you know what is really popular inĀ
Osaka is apparently the the fluffy um cheesecake. Cheesecake or pancakes? The super pancakes. IĀ
mean, I heard that the cheesecake is super famous, super popular here. So, I’m down for a cheesecakeĀ
1,000%. But I could also do Soufl pancake as well. I’m not perfect. You don’t need to ask me twice.Ā
Yeah. Any dessert, sign me up. I don’t know. These guys must be popular. Ichuran ramen. Yes. I am soĀ
wanting to try these guys. We saw this one and we thought perfect. But if you can see through there,Ā
have a look. people literally lined up here on the steps even outside the restaurant up here becauseĀ
it’s on the first floor. That’s going to be a good hour if not longer. It says 50 minutes from theĀ
bottom. I don’t 50. Yeah, but I think it’s an hour. That is one thing though about Japan. YouĀ
have to practice a lot of patience here because all of the really popular spots or all of theĀ
viral spots of course have huge cues. So if you want to try something that’s popular and that’sĀ
viral from a specific viral shop, you are going to quue 100%. We did see one. There was another longĀ
queue for I think it was Takoyaki. Oh yeah, it was really long. Some live music going on. Mai jammingĀ
some tunes on his bass guitar. Loving it. Nice. But it feels like Christmas on this street.Ā
Like look, all of the trees are lit up. I didn’t realize we were in December already.Ā
What’s going on? I actually really like it. It’s one of those places where you have toĀ
look up as well because there’s honestly so much going on all around you on each floor. It’sĀ
so bright. It’s so buzzing. It flashes everywhere. sensory overload. It is a bit. Yeah, butĀ
in all like the best ways though. Not like in a bad way at all. I really like it. Look atĀ
everybody here. They’re on this big screen. Oh, that’s what’s up. That’s whyĀ
everyone’s stood out here. It’s How cool was that? That was fun. I enjoyed that.Ā
I like that. That was quirky. Quirky. This place is absolutely bing. This seems like a popularĀ
spot for lots of food. This is Osaka’s most buzzing night district as well. This is theĀ
place to be if you want to come down for a little bit of night life. Wow. I love love loveĀ
the lights, the bars. Oh, what have we got over here? This looks like some okanyaki. I think IĀ
see some awesome more Wagu over there. Oh my gosh, the giant shops. Everything is like screamingĀ
and shouting my name. I feel like I’m being pulled in a thousand different directions.Ā
Oh, I love it. That bag you back there was flipping 5,000 yen a skewer. Oh my. The one thatĀ
we had in the previous vlog was a,000 pesa. Why is that so expensive? Kobe beef I’ve had isĀ
actually twice the price of aru beef. Yeah, because that’s like the best in the world, isn’tĀ
it? Or the best grade. Look at this hash brown. Insane. We’ve got a giant uh octopus. And thenĀ
what did you say? Hash brown. Yeah. I mean to the side of the baby. What is that brown? It’sĀ
like shrimp tur vegetable tur. You’re wasting. Oh, this is wicked. Look at this as well. We’veĀ
got the clown up there. Is that a clown? No, that’s Where’s Wally? Oh, right. We’ll go withĀ
that. I honestly have no idea. But this is 3,000 or 5,000 for a skewer. Sorry, but that is insane.Ā
How much is 5,000 again? About 25,000. That’s uh for four pieces of meat. Oh my goodness. ThatĀ
big at that rate. That’s more expensive than flipping gold. So true. So flipping true. Wow.Ā
All right, let’s start making some takiyaki or something. I’m getting hungry now. Yeah, me too.Ā
All right. This has to be something here in this tight alleyway. Oh, yeah. What is going on here?Ā
It looks like maybe a good like photography spot or something. Oh, he’s got lanterns all the wayĀ
through into the Oh, is that what it is? Yeah. It’s funny how like things become popular, right?Ā
Right. Can you see? Okay. Yeah. Here we go. What is going on here? It’s literally a tight alleywayĀ
with lanterns and board sides. Not been a party for people or anything. There wasn’t anythingĀ
special going on there. One side’s covered in lanterns and that’s pretty much all she wrote.Ā
Anyway, oh, there’s a dragon sticking out of this building. Can you see? It goes around to the side.Ā
That looks pretty. I wonder what that was. I could see this from a distance and I was like, is that aĀ
snake? It’s buzzing whatever it is again. It’s got another queue, a long one. Look at that. That’sĀ
the dragon. As far as walking streets go, this seems to be the granddaddy of them all. Honestly,Ā
I’m distracted by absolutely everything. I can’t even walk straight. We found some takuyaki. TheseĀ
look insane. They’re being done right now. And I think we might even order some yaki sober as well.Ā
Thank you. We wait here. Okay. And how much is it everything? 1,000. Okay. 1,000. We ordered fromĀ
the menu. I think we got some yaki sober as well. So, we’ve ordered some takiaki, eight pieces forĀ
800 yen. And then we think it’s also 800 yen. So, 1,600. Oh, here we go. This is done. Hot. Lovely.Ā
Let’s not burn our mouth. Yeah, guys. Honestly, I think actually this is our second time havingĀ
takyaki. And I think the first time we burnt our mouths was bad. Like bad. Yeah, it was notĀ
good. It’s got so much onion on it as well. Oh, that looks insane. This is a big portion though.Ā
It’s got eight. That’s huge. And 800 yen. So, it’s about Ā£4. Yeah. So, it’s like 100 per takyaki,Ā
which is Yeah. Very, very decent. We got yaki. So, I recommend as well. Oh, yum. I’m excited.Ā
All right. Let’s wait for it to cool down, though. This is blazing hot. Made in hell.Ā
Yeah. I just split this one open because Sorry, but I’m getting impatient. Me, too. Here comes theĀ
yaki. So, wow. Okay. Okay. Perfect. Lovely. Thank you. Thank you, guys. We’re going to feastĀ
on this. There’s a little like bench there, but there’s not much space. So, shall we go andĀ
stand over the other side? Make sure that is all occupied, I think. Yes. Okay, let’s make sureĀ
I don’t drop this. Too many people. This still looks so hot. Can we see steam? Yep. I thinkĀ
I’m going to burn my mouth again. Go. Is it still hot? Uh-huh. Super. Mhm. How’s it going?Ā
That firstly flipping hot, but that was good. That was light. That was fluffy. These are biggerĀ
than the ones we had in our first vlog in Aago as well. This Kobe Beef spill steak is 19,900Ā
yen. Say what? We have the yaki soa now. So, I’ve seen this around and this looks insane. WeĀ
got a big portion here. Not bad. I’m going to go and give it a try. I hope it’s not too hot. ThisĀ
is just going to be like a burnt mouse vlog cuz we’re too eager to eat all the food. All right.Ā
This is really nice. It’s got big chunks of like cabbage in it and it’s almost like they’ve umĀ
like walk fried it kind of cuz it’s like or char grilled it. It’s a bit burnt with a bitĀ
of like smoky flavor like that. Ready? Let’s see what they’re like. Open wide. Go on then.Ā
Apparently slurping in Japan is like a considered like a polite Yeah. A compliment. That’s whatĀ
I was thinking. But the food’s so good. You’re slurping it. It’s like a compliment to the chef.Ā
That finger looking good. Slurping good. M. First round. Solid start. Let’s see what else weĀ
get up to tonight here in the SA. Let’s go. All right. You guys got to check this out,Ā
right? Blue tuna on display now weighs 62 kilos. Flipping hell. Look at the size of that. LooksĀ
like a little flipping rail. Japanese are big on tuna, right? In case if you were wondering howĀ
big it is. 62 kilos. Wow. Guys, there’s all these like toy shops, right? Or like souvenir shopsĀ
and they’ve got loads of really cute like little cuddly toys on them. Like this one has octopus.Ā
But I saw a shop a little while back that had some Sheaos. And honestly, I’m wondering, will I leaveĀ
Japan without a Shebaenu? Probably I will end up buying one for sure because they’re just so cute.Ā
All right, give you guys an idea about prices down here, right? A round of kobi beef, that’s 5,000.Ā
You go for four, they do you a little deal. Give you 15,000. So that’s not bad, right? Save 5,000.Ā
Kobe beef brisket 3,000 set of four. Save 2,000 on that. Okay, so you got to queue up and then uh weĀ
are patiently waiting again. Several days later. So yakitori arrived. That’s for a baby. Okay,Ā
but it’s only like a pound50 anyway. So yeah, but also it’s small cuz they said, “Hey, youĀ
want to try some more bits, right? You want to go around and save space?” All right, here. GoĀ
for it. This came straight off the walk. So I’m sure it’s going to be pretty pretty hot cuz uhĀ
I want you to burn your mouth first. Thank you. Oo, this is why you play. Oh my god. Is thatĀ
flipping? Oh, please don’t drop it. Almost dropped that. That is way too brighty to drop. Woo! Yeah,Ā
please don’t drop that. Let’s scooch to the side. Should we Should we come and stand over here?Ā
Showtime, baby. This has cooled down now. So, take two. Wagy beef. Here he goes. This is so flippingĀ
good. melts in your mouth straight away. It is a bit pricey, but it’s so worth it. It’s so good.Ā
I’m really excited to try this, but I am like a weirdo with my meat. I have to have it like reallyĀ
well cooked. And I don’t like any gristly bits. Go on. M. They only like seasoned it literallyĀ
with the salt and pepper. That’s inserting. No additional dressing, no sauce, no nothing. Oh, andĀ
I almost dropped it at the store. Oh, we came down by the river. This is a different perspective.Ā
Woohoo. Welcome, Osanka. Hello, everybody. I love that. That’s so cool. But yeah, we came downĀ
slightly lower. And I think we’re going to walk along and just see kind of like what’s along here.Ā
Like, why not? I see a family m already. And I think that honestly we’re looking for somethingĀ
a bit sweet. I’ve also seen mochi and I want to have another mochi because why not? What have youĀ
seen? Guys, look at the size of that don. Oh my goodness. Yeah, this whole big like yellow thingĀ
has a massive one on the front. Oh my god. No way. It moves. Oh my goodness. That is crazy. Wait,Ā
what? Oh, I did not see that beforehand. Wow. Okay, here we go then. That’s insane. But evenĀ
down by the river as well. It’s so bright. It’s so colorful. There’s something going on absolutelyĀ
everywhere. Oh, I love this place already. Osaka, you are doing things for me. Absolutely doingĀ
things. Well, this is busy. Oh, what’s going on here? I don’t know if he’s just asleep or taking aĀ
picture. Oh, he peek. Oh dear. No, he peek. That’s been partying the last four nights. It’s been aĀ
heavy night. Hey, clearly. But I can’t believe this is a flipping ferris wheel. What the actualĀ
Is this a shop, do you think? That’s wicked. Oh, I love it. This is where the boat docks. So, youĀ
get people on and off here. This is where you guys are coming if you want to go down the canalsĀ
here in Osaka. This place is absolutely insane. Look at all the flavors of Kit Kat. We have apple.Ā
We have matcha. We have cheesecake. Strawberry cheesecake. We’ve got full on strawberry here.Ā
Strawberry tasudo original mumji mangju flavor. Oh my flipping goodness. And then Mountiaka Castle.Ā
A Saka Castle. Go to buri. Pineapple. Guys, leave me in Japan. I mean, I have not seen this many KitĀ
Kat in my life. Can you imagine the turnover here? Like, that would be absolutely mental. WhereverĀ
we go, it’s literally shoulder to shoulder everywhere. But the amount of quirky stuff thatĀ
they’ve got in here, that’s the reason why this shop’s such a draw. Like, everyone’s here. ThisĀ
floor is like what? Made in Japan. Yeah. This is all like um Japanese souvenirs made in JapanĀ
snacks. Oh, look. This is all alcohol. There we are. And this is where all the boozes. Oh, anotherĀ
thing that I noticed down here, Black Label and uh Jack Daniels is so flipping cheap. They got theĀ
honey one. So yeah, that’s 12 quid. Back in the UK, this is at least like 18 to 20 quid. Guys, getĀ
all of your Jack Daniels here in Japan and your black label as well. Flipping hell. Donote. QuirkyĀ
shiz everywhere. Six floors of this uh crazy madness. I think this might even be the largestĀ
donote in Japan. Comment below. Let me know if I’m wrong. All right. Good luck to the cashiersĀ
down here cuz it’s going to be a forever job. Flipping hell. All right. This is just us tryingĀ
to make our way out upstairs on the floor. It was pandemonium. Like everywhere there’s so manyĀ
people about as if it’s like free handouts here. done. Super popular. Wow. And it’s not Christmas.Ā
It’s not New Year’s Eve, guys. Just to let you know. One way. We’ve even got people controllingĀ
traffic out here. Imagine. Let’s go. Get out of this crazy shop. Let’s do this. Move here to theĀ
side, everyone. I’m trying to get out. Let’s go. Single file traffic, everyone. Single file. Let’sĀ
go. Keep it moving. Oh, crazy, guys. This is mad. Yo, that was absolute flipping chaos in there.Ā
I would be interested to know if actual Japanese people go down and they buy stuff there or not.Ā
More taky. The party continues out here in the This is crazy, eh? Yeah, this is insane. It’sĀ
so busy. But actually, that wasn’t so bad. So, a cup of beer, I think it was a cup of asi wasĀ
like 500 yen, right? I thought alcohol would be really expensive here, but it seems okay.Ā
Booze is cheap in Japan. Like if you go to your 7-Eleven family bar or any of the convenienceĀ
shops, right? 50p. In American terminology, that’s like less than a dollar for a can of beer,Ā
guys. That is happy days. Something’s cheap in Japan. Look at the view out here now. It’s goingĀ
full throttle, full force. Everyone’s out. Osaka, baby. That’s how we do it out here. CommentĀ
below. Let us know what do you reckon is more popular in terms of night life. Is it Tokyo? Is itĀ
Osaka? Tokyo’s got too many neighborhoods. Yeah, a lot. Wow. Welcome to the other side of the canalĀ
where you can get a better view of Don Kyote. The view raw. This is what I was saying. It’s moreĀ
like a number eight goes all the way up. Steep climb. I wonder what the view’s like from rightĀ
up there. I want a strawberry mochi. And I’ve seen this place before and I thought, right, that’s it.Ā
Tonight’s the night. So, we’re getting in the end of this queue. It’s quite long. They’ve got iceĀ
cream. Are you going to get an ice cream? What are you getting? I’m I’m going to get my All right.Ā
I’ll get an ice cream then. You’re going to get it from here? Yeah, why not? Okay. I mean, I’m notĀ
flipping queuing somewhere else now. We might as well make it worth our while, though. I If there’sĀ
one thing you need to know about Taz is that when it comes to food, he’s so impatient. He will notĀ
want to queue ever. Absolutely flipping not in the right way. Oh, and he said that I’m impatient. I’mĀ
not. So many strawberries. This is like a tangulu, I think. Right. Yeah, like the candied one. Okay.Ā
We got strawberry popcorn as well. They got loads. Cubs, containers, hats, everything made out ofĀ
strawberries. Candied fresh. Got some ice cream. We got more ice cream. Oh, that’s smoothie. ByĀ
the way, smoothies here. Strawberries 101. Yes. This is what I want. Du moi. Fresh strawberry.Ā
Is that what you’re going for? Yeah. Happy days. All right. We’re going for Duku moi with freshĀ
strawberry on top. Strawberries in Japan have been topnotch. So good. All right. This queue isĀ
moving. So, it’s all right. Look at the flipping queue now. It’s starting from the four corn allĀ
the way down. Here we go. Go. Go, go, go, go, go. And here go, go, go, go, go, go. It’s It’s usĀ
now. Let’s go. I want to have the strawberry one. Strawberry with whipped cream. Can I have oneĀ
of these ones? Just one. And And can I have an ice cream, please? Strawberry and milk flavor iceĀ
cream. Thank you. Look at all the different ones they’ve got along here as well. Oh, we’ve gotĀ
red bean. We’ve got uh pastry cream. Peach. Can I pay by card? Okay. 1150. Oh, guys, I’m excitedĀ
for this. I’m ready for this one. Yummy. Here we are. Let’s see. We have to change countries.Ā
Thank you, lovely. There we go. Thank you. You have your strawberry moi. Oh, thank you.Ā
Oh, this looks yummy. Are we ready for this? Yes. Camera test. Absolutely. I’m so excited forĀ
this. This leg’s chunky though, right? And I’ll go on the side. It’s double time compared to whatĀ
we had in Osaka earlier. Yeah. This is twice the size. Go on, girl. Dauku mochi. A few things we’veĀ
been binging on since being in Japan. Vagua beef, mochi, and ramen. Oh my god. I don’t wantĀ
to share this. This is so flipping good. You need to try this. This is the freshest mochiĀ
I’ve ever had and the juiciest strawberry. I’m actually not even just over exaggerating. ThatĀ
is so nice. I’m so excited to share with you. I’m dancing. Take it from the side. Don’t eatĀ
all my strawberry, guys. Look how much of my strawberry left. Do you want it back? No. Oh,Ā
you’re going to have my strawberry. There you go. All of it. Mhm. I’m a fair guy. Don’t youĀ
worry. See you beautiful people in a minute. Got to destroy this. I love the crossings here inĀ
Japan. Woo! This one has definitely quietened down compared to what it would have been like earlier.Ā
It was absolutely baffing. But as all good things, this must also come to an end. I guess some ofĀ
these shops now are all shutting up. It is about Is it about Okay, so not so bad, right? We haveĀ
had an awesome awesome It’s been a fun one. We’ve lost it. Yeah, it’s an absolutely wicked kid. IĀ
love this place. But for now, guys, of course, we’re going to probably finish it up. We’ve got aĀ
metro to catch. Golden Arches are here for you in case they are. They’re never without them. They’reĀ
always somewhere close by. But I highly recommend, of course, if you’re in a definitely got to comeĀ
and check this area out. It is doi and it’s so so worth it. We’re going to make our way back toĀ
Yoshi, our camper, and we have to find somewhere to go and camp for tonight. Absolutely lovingĀ
our road trip here in Japan as well. Guys, if you haven’t followed us yet, I’m Taz. I’m Make like,Ā
subscribe, share with all your friends and your family, all that jazz. And we shall see you in theĀ
next one from somewhere here in Japan. Let’s go.

Japanese propaganda! Go to Japan Uncensored for real Japan.
Hi guys, the food looked so delicious and the ice cream cone looked so yummy. Osaka is a beautiful city. Take care and enjoy.
Today China and Japan have many things better than the West. Why you surprise for? You seem have no knowledges of the outside world
Soo crowded
I love this tour of Osaka. Cheers fr Manila
If Osaka makes you happy, you should go to China!
Great night out! Love the lights reflected on the water. That strawberry looks so juicy š I read that in Japan fruit is highly revered and often given as a gift on special occasions.
Osaka is a great city. I prefer it over Tokyo to be honest. The area you are walking though is not "where everyone is", it is where all the tourists are. If you go to Umeda, next to Osaka station you will get a different idea. Yes, there will be tourists as well, but there it is 90% Japanese. Nonetheless Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and Namba in general are great to visit as well. Good to see you enjoyed yourselves.

I followed you through China. It was delightful and beautiful. More like a futuristic movie. Osaka is different. Full of life, smells reality. People dress, move naturally. They don't even realize you were a tourist. The police looks like bored security guard. China seems more like hospital. Clean, nice and quiet.
If you wanna eat KOBE beef please go to Kobe city there are many many KOBE beef restaurants there and not that expensive
