コッツウォルズ・ワイルドライフ・パーク(バーフォード)。動物園レビュー&フルツアー2025
Hello everybody and welcome back to explore home repeat. Today we’re at Cotsworld Wildlife Park and Gardens set in the Oxford sheer countryside and home to everything from rhinos and giraffes to penguins and lemurs with beautiful gardens, walkthrough enclosures, a small train ride, and loads of space to explore. It’s a popular spot for a day out. But with so many UK zoos and wildlife parks to choose from, is this one actually worth a visit? We’ll explore all the main animal areas, check out the play zones, and give our honest thoughts on whether it’s worth your time and money. Right, let’s go and explore. Just in front of the big house, they have these fields, and they’re huge, great, big rhino encloses. They’re really, really good. This is almost one of the things that Cotwell Wildlife Park is famous for is this big savannah outside the house. Also got some relatively young rhino as well here. Here’s a map of Cotswwell Wildlife Park. They have a huge car park, so you never worry about parking. It’s fine. Parking is free as well, but they’ve just got this huge great big train that goes all the way around. You’ve then got the kids farmyard at the top here, a sort of birds and water foul and wolves wood over this way. You’ve then got the big white rhino paddock. Down here is the leopards and the giraffes, porcupines and camels. And then up here, this is where all of the reptile houses are, the invertebrae house, the sea mangs. This is really the center based around the old house. But then you also have one of our favorite bits, the walled garden. You got the penguins, mircats, parrots, prairie dogs, otter, monguses. This whole walkth through Madagascar exhibit with lemurs. It really is a full day out. Ah, we found the giraffes. This is one of our favorites. When the drafts are indoors, it’s really good almost to go in winter because if they’re indoors, you can go up these stairs on the left hand side and then you can go up to head level with the draft and they sometimes come up really close to you. Wow. The view you get of these lines is amazing. I mean, look how big they are. If you go back and see our old Cotswwell Wildlife Park video, I think we were all wearing masks and things like that. So, it’s really, really good to come back here and see what it’s like now. See if anything’s changed. See if it’s still as good as we remember. Right into the reptile house. Very warm in here and dark, but really, really good. I love this reptile house. You got these amazing frilled lizards that have this big frill around their neck that they can extend, I guess, when they’re threatened. You get amazing views here, though. Wow. They got this amazing gaboon viper. Western gaboon viper. And gosh, is it an intimidating thing. I think these are really poisonous as well. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] This chameleon, the colors of it are amazing. I love those eyes as well. Gosh, you do get some really, really good views here. Sienna’s taking photos. Well done. Towards the end of this reptile house, they have a much bigger enclosure for some crocodile. They got a swimming pool. There’s one just down here coming straight from the reptile house. You then go straight into this one, which is the sea. We’ve got these little mouse lemur as well. And again, they’re really hard to see. They’re in this red light. The camera picks them up better than your eyes do. [Music] Oh my gosh. They have the biggest snakes you’ve ever seen in your life. They are absolutely huge. They’re almost completely underwater. There’s two of them with just their noses sticking up out of the water so they can breathe. We also have a view so you can see them underwater as well, which Sienna is loving. Next up, after that reptile and the snake area with the seaangs, going into the fruit bat exhibit. And I love bats. Again, I love all the theming and everything in here. It is so well done this place. In this bat area, there’s also a few other enclosures with lots of little tiny mice and all sorts of things. Down by the mircats and camels area is this little Africa. And they’ve got some grundies here. Fluffy little things. I guess everything here is from Africa. Also got a whole community of naked mole rats. Incredible things. [Music] You then come out of the indoor bit into this enclosure with a load of birds. Directly as you come out of Little Africa, there’s this big big field just full of camels everywhere. There’s so many. And here’s the train coming past as well. Hopefully we can go on this later. One thing we obviously have to do when we come to a zoo that’s got a play area is come and play on it. We’ve got a three-year-old. This is a non-negotiable. We have to come to the play area. During the summer and school holidays, they also regularly have Cotswwell falconry out here to do displays. So, they do them in front of the house just to the side. Um, really, really good shows. We’ve seen them before. Cotwell falconry always do great shows. Really informative, really fun and a great selection of birds. Why I wouldn’t want to fly the bird in this manner. It’s so easy for the crane. Next up is the walled garden through this gate. Just as you come into the walled garden, there is this amazing big penguin enclosure. It’s always really popular. There’s loads of penguins in there swimming around. It’s really, really good. You can see here the beautiful gardens. They’ve got these really nice dry gardens with cactuses. It’s all very exotic looking. I love this area. In the summer, this is its like peak. Like the planting, just all the enclosures. They’re really, really good. As well as being beautiful, this wall garden has got just an incredible selection of animals. There’s aies, mir cats, prairie dogs, otterters, laughing cuckaras. Over in the distance, there’s a hot house with a sloth and freeflying birds and bats. There is just an absolutely incredible selection and it’s just all so beautifully laid out with this stunning gardens. It is just such a lovely place to wander around. This ward garden just keeps going and going and going. There’s this whole section with tamarind and marmazettes. Loads of them. Oh, Sienna’s just seen something. Sienna’s got a punet full of grapes. And this tamarind is very interested in these grapes. Sienna, cover them up. Don’t let them have the grapes. Very concerned about this. Next up is the tropical house. We’re going to go search for a sloth. Wow, look at this. It’s like a jungle. There are so many little birds and things just flying around right past your head. Couple of times I felt the wind as they go past, but it’s really hot in here, but it is really, really cool. There is so much. You can see it behind me. Just so much kind of jungly plants. They’ve got a Madagascar walkthrough area. So, we can’t take the pram in there, but we’re going to have a look see what there is. Just walked into this walkthrough lemur exhibit. We’re looking for them. You never know what you’re going to see. Oh, is he spotted something? Oh, we got some ringtailed lemurs over in the distance. We’ll see if we can get a bit closer. At least they are moving about and jumping around. It is really cool to be able to just get that little bit closer, not have a cage or glass between your the animals. So, it’s well worth going in here. Not necessarily know what you’re going to see. We’ve now just walked into this farmyard area. So, there’s an indoor bit and then a big outdoor bit with loads of animals. I think there’s a goat area where you can walk through and stroke them. So, this area you can walk in and you can go and stroke the goats. Got loads in there. Well, quite a few. They used to have more I think. Just wandering onto the wolf area. We got to see that anteater which I love. Yeah, you love anteers. Did we see a tape here as well? Yeah, quick little tape. I couldn’t get it on video. Also some capy bar and there’s lots of guinea foul and things just wandering around. Uh, but it’s really worth having this little nice walk in the shade on a hot day down towards the Wolf Wood. We’re now going up the boardwalk into Wolf Wood. There’s lots of signs that say you have to be quiet. Hopefully, we find them because I think last time they were like hidden in their dens. Yeah. So, let’s have a look. Oh, we found the wolves. Two of them tucked down in the undergrowth underneath these trees. Fast asleep. You come out of Wolfwood into this pond area with loads of wild fowl and ducks and these absolutely gigantic pelicans. So that’s our day over at Cotswwell Wildlife Park. We’re back home now. What did you think this time round? It’s amazing. It’s always such a great place to go. I can’t really ever fault it. The gardens are stunning. You get to see a wide range of animals. It’s It’s definitely one of my favorites. Yeah, I I think it’s absolutely brilliant for that sort of mediumsiz zoo. So, it’s not the scale of Chester or Longle, but it is just so jam-packed with so many animals. It is, I think, the most beautiful zoo in the country, certainly that we’ve been to. And there is just such, like you said, such a great range of animals. There is so much to see. And for £16, £117 for an adult, it is an absolute bargain. There is so much to do. so much to keep you entertained. It is absolutely brilliant. I guess the only downside is probably the cafe, like quite a lot of zoo places. It’s not the best. The pizzas looks really good. I have to say the pizzas look really good. So, I think it has improved since last time we went and we and we filmed it. It definitely is better. Well, with that being said, we’re off home. Don’t forget to like and subscribe, and we’ll see you next time. Bye-bye. [Music]

Looks like a nice place! Thank you for another great video!
Great video. The Cotswold Wildlife Park is definitely a lovely place to visit. The setting, animals and birds. Well worth a visit
A brilliant day out. Even with loads of visitors, it never felt crowded as there were open areas and shadey paths which spread everyone out. Well worth a visit.
Great day out and another really good video.
Thank you Matt and Issy for another great recommendation, this place looks lovely! Can't believe Sienna's 3 already!!
Hi Matt, Issy and Sienna, wow guys that looked fantastic – and yes I remember when you went before. I'm glad you went back – I think for what you get for the money that is pretty good! Sienna looked like she had a fab time on the swings. Anyway, thanks for sharing your day out. See you again soon. 🙂👍🏻
Another good video as always. Been here twice, once during the 90's and the other occasion was back in 2012 I think. I will say the admission prices are good value with species they have here. Only thing I notice from checking out their map and looking back at old photo's, not a lot seems to have been added as in new species etc but I could be wrong. Due a visit for us, as it is a lovely setting in the beautiful Cotswolds. Interested in what you mention about the eating facilities. I have noticed a lot of zoos, and other tourist attractions with their eating facilities, where they have become expensive but the quality IMO has deteriorated. Struggle to think of many good ones for that these days.
