Hello, I’m Inomata from Neige. This channel is dedicated to sharing travel and daily life vlogs. This video is my final stop: Helsinki, Finland. Helsinki is popular as the closest European city to Japan, and I’ve loved it since I first visited it on a solo trip to Northern Europe in 2023. With the midnight sun beginning, nights are incredibly short in Northern Europe , providing a unique experience rarely found in Japan . This time, I’ll be introducing Marimekko shops and Vantaa Airport, which I missed last time, so I hope you’ll watch until the end. Now, let’s get started. If I miss this, it won’t be until 4:00 ! Hurry! It’s 1:24, and I think I can make it. It’s the last train, arriving in 4 minutes. I already bought a one-day ticket online . It’s past midnight, so I thought it would be just right, and my suitcase arrived pretty early, which was a relief. It says 1:20, but it’s actually 12:20 in Nice. I wonder if I’ll arrive safely. It’s 2:30. Finally, I’ve arrived in Helsinki. It must be 2am now. Look, this brightness. I’m sure I’ll only see it when I’m here. The midnight sun has already begun. The scenery over there feels like evening. It’s bright. I’m heading there now, walking. It ‘s 2am at Helsinki Central Station. You’d think there was no one there. There are quite a few people there, I guess they’re out partying. Dance music is playing. It really feels like dawn. This video probably doesn’t do it justice. It’s not this blue, it’s actually a little more like the night sky at dawn. This is Helsinki under the midnight sun. I’m sure it’ll actually get brighter. It’s June 3rd, so I’m sure it’ll get even brighter from now on. I’ve arrived. The Marimekko curtains are cute. This is the kitchen . I wonder if I should take off my shoes here? They leave them like this. I’ve arrived at the hostel. The view at dawn is amazing. It’s 3am this morning. It’s strange. I decided to buy some to try . Good morning. It’s 1:00 now, but I slept until about 11:30. I went to the station and did some grocery shopping. I wanted to try some sushi, which they sell by the gram, for 1.85 euros, and a salad for 3 euros. They had eggs, so I’ll have some chicken and eggs. I didn’t eat properly last night, so I’ll eat a little before going out. Also, there’s no one here right now, but they have free coffee and other drinks, which is really helpful. This hostel is so beautiful . Last night was night, or rather, it was almost morning. I’m glad I came. I went outside once, but it’s really hot. But I bought a one-day ticket today, so I’m thinking of taking a little trip around on the tram . So, let’s eat. What do you think ? The salmon looks so delicious, and I’m not expecting much from the rice, but I’ll eat it. I think I’ll eat it here. Delicious. The rice in the hand roll is really good . It feels like in-flight meal on an airplane. It’s a little soft, but I like the sesame seeds. Also, I think this was shrimp, but it looks like crab. It looks like fried onion on top . It’s crab. Crab. It’s similar to the salads I often get in Japan. The salads I often get at conveyor-belt sushi restaurants are similar, but they’re very easy to eat . The food is delicious, after all. The salad had a boiled egg, beans, cherry tomatoes, and meat. I feel like I’m finally getting a decent meal. I just left the hostel and am walking around town. I’m heading to a cafe I couldn’t go to last time. I really love this place because it’s full of nature, but I couldn’t go to the cafe last time I was here and only saw it from afar, so I think I’ll take a break there . My eyes are pretty tired from writing blogs all day , so the greenery is so soothing. I’ve been working on my computer for about four hours, and then I heard a girl coughing nearby. When I asked her about it , she said something like she’d gone to the hospital, which made me a little irritated. I also have a sore throat, so I bought some menthol mint candy at the supermarket. They had a decent amount, and I often give them to people with coughs, and I gave some this time too. I’m not sure if they like it, though. I have a similar cough. So, if you’re planning any trips, whether in Europe or overseas, be sure to bring cold medicine and throat spray with you. I didn’t bring that with me, so this was a real mistake. I also recommend bringing some Eve and a fever reducer. So, I headed to the cafe. As I was heading toward the cafe, a woman showed me the Sibelius statue. She said she wanted to see it, but it was under construction and completely fenced off. The fence blocked my way in. I thought I’d already been there, so I figured it was fine, but then I had to go all the way around to the other side to get to the entrance, so I decided I was okay. I found it. I headed over there. I saw it right in front of me earlier, but it was completely fenced off and I couldn’t get out. Right in front of me, I found a gap and came out . It’s dangerous, isn’t it? There’s no information like that on Google, so it’s under construction. Be careful if you’re planning on coming. I think it’s better to take a detour around the park. As soon as you arrive in Helsinki, you’ll see so many people wearing Marimekko. It makes you feel happy. Just being here is a magical country . I’d also like to rent canoes and try the sauna. This time, I’m going to the Cafe Regatta. I finally got to visit the cafe I’d been longing for, with a stylish car and an open terrace. I wonder if it’s called Regatta . I ordered the recommended cinnamon roll and coffee at a cafe I saw from afar last time. Coffee. I ‘ve always wanted something like this. There was milk on the counter, so I poured in as much as I wanted, and it was generous. Finally, I can drink coffee. I’m so happy. When I order coffee, they keep bringing me espresso. This trip made me realize I’m not good at espresso . It’s almost over. I’m feeling lonely. This view. It’s 5:30 now, and since it’s evening, the breeze feels a little cool. It’s the very last thing, but I want to go to the sauna tomorrow. I feel like I want to go today, and I feel like I could go today. I need to take my luggage back to the hotel. I want to go to the place I couldn’t go to last time first. There was one close to where I was staying last time, but I couldn’t go. I wonder what to do next. Last time, I went to Marimekko’s headquarters, so I only got a glimpse of this place. It’s 6:30 now, but Yurokangas closes at 7:00 PM, so I’ll take my time looking around until then. There weren’t any in front of Helsinki Cathedral, but there are a lot of shops like street stalls on terraces. It’s hot during the day, so it might be better to go in the evening . I’ve been going since about 4:00 PM, and it’s a good time. Up ahead is the port. I’ll soon pick up my suitcase and head to the hotel, so I’ll head back to the hostel to pick up my luggage . After that, I head to my hotel. It ‘s a very convenient location, just a short walk from the tram. The station is only one suitcase stop away, but I took the tram . I traveled from Helsinki to Malmi. I arrived at the hotel and had trouble finding the entrance, so I called the front desk. It was self-check-in, so I made a card at the entrance. I was glad I found it. The room was quite spacious and nice. It was about a 15-minute train ride from Helsinki Central Station . I have a kitchen. I plan to stay here for my last three nights. The view is nice, the shower is like this, and there’s a washing machine, which is great. I want to do laundry right away , and I can go to the sauna afterwards. I think I’ll go to the sauna for a bit. I’d like to explore the hotel. Everything is clean. I brought some detergent, but it would have been helpful if I had some. I’ll use it. There was also a place to hang clothes . It’s really spacious. It’s supposed to be close to the station, but I took a wrong turn. There’s a closet, too, and it looks like it could be expanded a bit. They even have a trash sorting system. Here’s the dishes. This is the refrigerator. It’s so integrated . There are glasses and dishes in it. I wonder if this is where you put something. Where are the cutlery? I found this for the oven, so I found it here. It’s so neatly organized. Wow. Here’s the ladle and fryer. They’re all neatly organized and look easy to use. I don’t plan on cooking, but I want to. Also, here’s the oven. I just checked the Wi-Fi speed, and it wasn’t that fast, so if I want to use my computer, I’d recommend going to the lobby. The room is 24-hour service, so it’s pretty weak. But I don’t usually do video editing, so I don’t think it needs to be that fast . It’s already 9 o’clock. The sauna is open until 10, so I’ll go. I also want to go to the supermarket. I still have a lot to do. I’ll have coffee and tea. Milk potions are nice. I haven’t had any milk in a while, so I’ll have some coffee. One of the wheels on my suitcase is broken, and it’s only supporting itself with one, so it’s tilted like this. I think I can manage if I get to the airport, but this one probably won’t work either. All the caps have come off, but it’s holding up well, and it’s heavy, so I think I’ll just head back to Japan. Anyway, I’m glad I made it to Helsinki , so I bought some at the supermarket. This is probably salmon soup, and since it’s already 9:30pm, I think this will be enough. I’ll have bread and a snack for tomorrow morning, and I think it’s a yogurt drink. I also couldn’t find any cold beer, but I changed the ones that weren’t cold . I ended up having it for dinner. I went to the sauna earlier, so it’s late, but it’s 10pm tonight. I think I’ll go to the station again after this and do some shopping. It seems faster to go to the station than to walk around the area. My ABC ticket is still valid, so I’m planning to go to a 24-hour supermarket. For dinner, I had this salmon soup. It looks delicious. Let’s eat. It looks amazing. It also has salmon, so I was worried about making a mistake, but I’ll have a beer. Finally, I’m in Helsinki . Good morning. Yesterday, I was planning to go to Helsinki Central Station, but the trains leading up to the last train the day before were so empty, I thought it might be late at night before I got back, so I decided to skip it and go back to the station to buy breakfast. I figured it would be tough to get out in the morning, and as expected, I ended up buying a Caesar salad and a croissant. The yogurt I bought wasn’t exactly yogurt drink, more like a melted yogurt. It was like a thick yogurt that you put on a plate and eat with a spoon. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I poured it into a cup and drank it. It’s quite thick, but still drinkable. It’s easier to drink than regular yogurt, and if you have a refrigerator, you can buy some on your trip. I highly recommend giving it a try. You don’t need a spoon, just a cup, so if your room has one, it might be a good idea to have one. I think traveling can be quite constipating, but this time I had a lot of diarrhea, so I didn’t get constipated at all. In fact, my bowel movements were quite loose, which was quite a challenge. So , I’m going to eat this today and then head to the Marimekko outlet in Vantaa. It looks like this. Let me open it. I thought about buying it for a while, but it was about 4 euros, about 700 yen. It’s a regular Caesar salad, and it comes with dressing. I’m not going to eat it all in one sitting, but I’ll save half for tomorrow morning. It’s quite filling . I actually wanted to cook some bacon and fried eggs, but I figured buying all those ingredients would go to waste for a three-night stay, so I gave up . It even came with a fork. It’s perfect for eating in the room. I don’t have any cutlery, but I brought the fork-and-spoon kind you often get at convenience stores from Japan, and it’s really handy . You can eat it outside, so it would be nice for a picnic, or maybe even on an island. Maybe it would be good to eat in the park. The fork included was a bit unexpected. They have some dressing, too. I’ll mix it up a bit. Yesterday, I went to the buffet and ordered a salad sold by the gram, but this is nice, too. Maybe it’s because it’s night or the middle of the night. Let’s eat. I finally feel like I’m eating a salad . Hotels are so convenient. Airbnb is great, but it’s still a bit of a hassle. I think I’ll shorten my next trip and stay in a hotel. This month was a long one. I’m a bit tired, after all. It might have been different if I’d been with someone, but I guess that would have been a bit more hassle. I only have two nights left in Helsinki, so I’ll transit to Munich for a night . After that, I’ll be heading to Japan, so it’s right around the corner. I’m feeling quite relieved. I’ve been staying near the airport for a while today, so I’m in a completely different place from the hustle and bustle of Helsinki, but I’m going to relax . This time, I came to the Marimek outlet store near Vantaa Airport. I missed it last time, so this is my first time. I’m looking forward to it. I wonder what it’s like, but with the weak yen, it feels a little pricey, but I found some canvas fabric again, so I’m going shopping. They also have mustard-colored fabrics, like the ones you see in Japan. I’m avoiding things that are cheaper in Japan. I said I was looking for green Marimekko, but they only had the ones in the large sizes. I’m thinking of checking out the other outlet, too . The store looks like this. The staff were very kind. Apparently they don’t carry the green ones, but they were a little large, which is a shame. I found some nice fabric, so I’m going to buy some canvas fabric . The tax-free minimum seems to be 50 euros, and there are a lot of Japanese customers. This time, the sale only seems to include tunics and dresses. Clothes. Skirts were not included. I’m shopping for canvas fabric again. I’ve been shopping, but I’m planning to go to the main store tomorrow. I bought a lot, as expected, but I’m going to make a lot of them and send them to you as kits. I won’t be able to open them until I get back to Japan, but I ‘m back at the library I loved last year . It’s already past 7pm. I’m back. I came to the library I visited last year. It’s open until 9pm so I’d like to take my time and find another book. I went to this restaurant, which is famous for its venison and has a lot of Japanese customers. This is Finnish venison, I forgot what it’s called. I think it’s called Lappi. It’s a restaurant famous for its venison, and there were a lot of Japanese customers, so it felt strange, like I was eating in Japan. I’m going back to the hotel. I think I’ll walk. The meat was so tender and delicious. I moved from Helkinki to Malmi. I’m staying here this time. The station is right next to it, so the bus stop is right there. When I go to Marimekko, I depart from the very end of the building, making it incredibly easy to access. When I arrived, I accidentally got off the other side because the elevator downstairs was broken . Then I got completely lost because I couldn’t find the entrance , but I’m finally here. Only one more night. My stay is coming to an end, but I’d like to enjoy these last two nights. Japan is just around the corner. Everything is accessible with this touch. I first checked in by self-check-in. The reception closed at 6:00, so I checked my email and saw this lobby. The kitchen is this space . Yesterday, they had a party at Marimekko . I bought some clothes as a treat. They were on sale, but they weren’t . It seems like only the dress and tunic were on sale. I thought it was a tunic, but it wasn’t. So, what did you think of this Helsinki video ? The next one will be the last. I will also be introducing the Marimekko outlet at its headquarters, so please look forward to the next video . Thank you for watching until the end. If you enjoyed this video, please support me by clicking the like button. I will be very grateful. See you on my next trip.
