I will introduce the general climbing routes of Mt. Tsurugidake and Mt. Tateyama, Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. Toyama Prefecture Murodo Tateyama (Oyama) Tsurugidake Mt. Tsurugidake is one of the most difficult mountains to climb among the 100 famous mountains. It’s also nice to climb Mt. Jodo from Ichinokoshi Sanso and watch the sunrise. On the other side of Tateyama is Kurobe Dam. Mt.Oonanji is the highest mountain in Tateyama. Kurasuke Sanso is located near Mt. Masago. You may be able to use showers at Tsurugisawagoya and Kenzanso. It is safe if you have a helmet and rock climbing equipment. Climb Mt. Tsurugidake Mt. Tsurugidake is a mountain where you can enjoy the most spectacular views anywhere. Tsurugigozen is one of Japan’s 100 highest mountains. If you have time, we recommend taking a bath in the Murodo hot springs.
