One place that collects Okoh Okoh dolls from various areas in Bali for viewing is the Okoh Okoh Museum. Each doll reflects a story from Balinese Hindu legend. For example, Barong is a mythical creature that looks like a lion or tiger. Rangda is the demon queen. Or the evil witch in Balinese legend. Boma, the god who is the son of Vishnu and the goddess of the earth. Or Ganesha, the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles. And besides that, there are many more puppets. It is believed to have been built in the 14th century and is located in Padang Tegal village, within the Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest. It is considered the spiritual center of the community and also the venue for Balinese death rituals. We arrived here. Only some parts of the temple are open to tourists. However, the main area inside is not open to the public. Only those who come to perform ceremonies or pray are allowed in because it is considered a sacred area that should not be disturbed unnecessarily. Besides the temple, the surrounding area is also in the Ubud Monkey Forest, which is more than just a tourist attraction. The long-tailed monkeys that live in this forest are also seen as guardians of the gods and are believed to protect the temple and the sacred energy in this area.
