Most people who visit Itoshima Only go to a few popular beach attractions But actually Itoshima covers a large area With many places worth visiting In this episode, I’ll start from the familiar beach photo spots Taking you to unique tea houses and hidden shops And special stores even locals might not know about I’ll also introduce A hotel with full ocean views and great design aesthetics So you can properly plan a seaside vacation Want to know the real way to experience Itoshima? You’ll need to follow me beyond the regular tourist routes To discover another side of this Fukuoka seaside town If you haven’t seen the previous episode, remember to watch it first In the last episode, we experienced Itoshima’s seafood cuisine And stayed at a super value-for-money inn In this episode, I’ll start from the inn And visit several attractions along the coast Although each attraction is close by And accessible by bus Some places in Itoshima Can only be explored by self-driving Keep watching to find out The park we’re heading to has a parking lot across from it You can park here to visit the park It only costs 300 yen for the whole day No time limit, just one fee for the entire day After parking, we walked to the beach across the road We quickly saw that the beach Had many photo-worthy setups Many beaches in Itoshima Have swings set up For people to take photos facing the beach The beach I’m at now is near my hotel Just a few minutes’ drive away After parking our car The beach is right across the street Luckily the weather is good today If it were raining I wouldn’t be able to take swing photos This beach has many different styles of swings You can sit here and take photos Facing the beach with the sea in front Besides the basic photo swings There are also some more exciting ones I want to challenge this slightly thrilling swing I’m ready This one is quite thrilling too There’s a cat See it? It’s so sunny I didn’t expect that after yesterday’s heavy rain Today would be so sunny It’s so bright I can barely see what I’m filming The beach also has something like Doraemon’s Anywhere Door You can take photos here There’s a bell tower here that you can climb up It should be perfect for couples’ photos Let’s go up now It’s quite high This vantage point offers a view of the entire sea There’s also a spot here where you can ring the bell It says you can make a wish Let me try Prosperity in business After playing with the swings at the beach There are actually some more thrilling activities Like sliding down a cable Those more adventurous facilities I saw some people playing If I wasn’t wearing platform shoes today I would have gone up to play Now it’s about time to get our car We arrived around 10:30 There were some people at the beach then But not too many But now it’s about 11:30 Many people are starting to arrive at the beach Every photo spot And check-in point has a queue So consider this You might want to schedule this place very early in your itinerary Then there won’t be as many people You can take photos quickly and leave If you have to wait in line It will take more time We’ve now come to this place Called Itoshima Sabou I originally saw online That their pancakes have a beautiful brand mark With the Itoshima Sabou name imprinted on them I found it very eye-catching That’s why I planned to come here It’s a small café facing the beach I see the weather isn’t too hot today So I chose to sit outside They also have indoor seating Of course sitting inside with air conditioning would be more comfortable But to see the ocean I chose to sit outside Unfortunately I might have arrived a bit late So I couldn’t get the seats closest to the beach If you could sit right by the sea The view would be beautiful My food has arrived Since this is still breakfast for me I ordered pancakes I ordered cheese pancakes Actually, if you order basic flavor pancakes You’ll see the Itoshima Sabou name branded on top But I couldn’t resist the temptation of cheese So I ordered this flavor It has a cake-like texture The pancake surface is very smooth I think it’s a bit like egg cake The cheese has a slightly salty taste There’s a scoop of ice cream on top Plus syrup and a little black pepper It should be a sweet and savory flavor They say the pancakes are made with wheat flour With a very fragrant flour aroma Let me eat another piece right away When the cheese was poured on It should have been melted after heating But now it’s starting to return to room temperature It’s already starting to solidify The butter aroma in the pancakes is also very rich Delicious I recommend the pancakes here I think I’ll be visiting many cafés today So I won’t have coffee now I’ll try the restaurant’s special drink Their special drink is very pretty It has a tropical island feel This glass is actually a coconut milk special drink I really like coconut milk drinks So I ordered this special drink to try It’s a bit sweeter But you should always try the specialty drinks I’ll also order a savory dish This is similar to a seafood soup cooking style Using tomato soup as the sauce The food here is quite tasty This seafood soup has many ingredients There are clams Mussels And shrimp Fish, octopus Lots of seafood It comes with bread You can dip it in the soup I’m afraid I’ll be visiting many cafés today And eating too much Now I want to order main dishes that aren’t too filling Just eat a little bit Eat a little bit everywhere This main dish also comes with a salad Because I ordered a set meal It comes with salad and a drink The salad isn’t an ordinary Caesar salad It has some Parma ham on top Eating until the end, I almost forgot the set includes dessert It’s a small pudding The milk flavor is very rich With raspberry sauce, it’s delicious There’s a parking lot next to Itoshima Sabou But the fee isn’t cheap 30 minutes costs 500 yen However, if you spend over 1000 yen here You can park free for one hour After that, it’s 300 yen per 30 minutes So it makes sense to park here if you’re patronizing this restaurant Otherwise, parking elsewhere would be more economical Recently, the Causeway Bay store has some new items Let me give you a preview of a small part Besides boutique items There are also products from our own brand My store is on the third floor of Windsor House in Causeway Bay We’re also having some discount promotions recently We’ve also changed some of the discounted items Please take advantage of the discounts shop requires going down stairs You can see the entire beach Let’s go down the stairs and take a look It’s a small café in the basement With a small general store area next to it But the most beautiful part is the window view of the sea I think this place is like a select shop Gathering many different small Fukuoka brands I wonder if the selection here has been specially curated Many items have white designs The whole select shop space maintains a pure white color Giving a clean, fresh feeling They have gelato here And popsicles Next to the select shop is a small café space After buying ice cream and popsicles here You can sit here and enjoy them while looking at the beach After leaving Itoshima Sabou and Zekkei Market Driving less than a minute We’ve already arrived at the next attraction The beach attractions are quite close to each other We’ve now come to Itoshima’s famous Meoto Iwa (Married Couple Rocks) and white torii gate I can already see many people lining up for photos Let’s go down and see what’s happening Usually when people come to Itoshima They definitely come to photograph this white torii gate Because this white torii gate is in the middle of the sea People queue up here Determined to get a photo of themselves standing in the middle of the white torii gate But I won’t pursue this I might just take a photo from the side and that’s it If you come earlier You might not have to wait as long But now it’s already 1:30 in the afternoon So there are already many people After seeing the white torii gate, we set off for the next stop For this Itoshima self-drive tour, I’ve arranged many stops Places where you can stop for a drink while driving We’ve now come to this place Called Blue Roof juice shop It specializes in fruit juice slushies This seems to be called Ruby Red Grapefruit slushie I also ordered a lemon soda I was attracted by how the slushies look Each one looks very beautiful I originally wanted to order another similar drink So the photos would look prettier But the weather is too hot now Suddenly it feels like over 30 degrees Just drinking two slushies isn’t very thirst-quenching I had to order a lemon juice regardless Need to drink some refreshing soda To deal with today’s weather It’s really too hot outside This lemon juice isn’t like those outside That taste very sour It has some added Of course there’s lemon Then honey Plus soda water and tonic water Mixed together like this Now let me try this slushie The top part is red grapefruit pulp And the bottom is pineapple juice Fresh tropical island feeling You need to drink pineapple-flavored juice And it’s more thirst-quenching than I expected The texture isn’t too thick It’s more like juice Not like I imagined Sometimes slushies can be as thick as milkshakes This one is also very refreshing But this glass isn’t cheap This costs 1100 yen While the lemon soda is only 500-600 yen I’m so hot today I had to bring out my personal fan Without holding a fan Using it wherever I go I really can’t handle Japan’s 30+ degree weather My fan comes with a base It can be detached or not Normally you can just hold it like this But I usually use it with the base Because I’m lazy I can just place it on the table like this Let me take you to see the hotel I’ve been most looking forward to I’m staying at a hotel That newly opened in 2024 Called Seven Seven Walking into the lobby, it’s already very design-focused A large floor-to-ceiling window facing the beach The view is truly impeccable There’s a small shop area on the side Which turns into a small bar at night You can buy drinks and food here The hotel we’re staying at is called Seven Seven It’s a very new hotel So let me show you around the room Entering the foyer, there’s some storage space There’s a door on the side Let’s open this door and see It’s the toilet The toilets here are usually separated As for the door opposite It should be the bathroom Coming in, this is the sink The whole decoration is really new and beautiful On the side here is the bathtub There’s also a shower here Next to the bathtub is clear glass so you can see outside Walking over here There’s a small kitchen area With an induction cooktop here Compared to city hotel refrigerators This one is much larger There’s a freezer compartment And below is like this What is this thing Isn’t this water bottle too beautiful There’s an induction cooktop here You can cook simple meals I believe below is where kitchen utensils are stored And there’s a microwave This should be for tableware That’s right This is like a small kitchen With a bar table where you can sit and have breakfast This side is the small living room And here are two double beds Although there are only two of us staying this time I think the size of this room Could actually accommodate a family of four This double bed is so big This is why I wanted to stay at Seven Seven Because the rooms have a small terrace Where you can see the beach outside From here you can see Palm Beach outside See the entire most beautiful coastline In the distance is the white torii gate Everything you need There are skincare products inside Eye mask, toothbrush Razor, earplugs, comb And a bath towel There’s also a washing machine With laundry supplies on top When Seven Seven first opened I already wanted to stay here In mid-May I had already planned to come to Fukuoka in June At that time, someone said after May After Japan’s Golden Week Booking hotels would be cheapest I checked Seven Seven’s price It was unbelievably cheap 600 HKD per night Because I was discussing some work at that time I hadn’t confirmed the dates yet As a result, I kept delaying Until early June when I finally booked this hotel The price was no longer 600 HKD It had become almost 1600 HKD per night I think the decor and environment here Are all very satisfying It even gives me a feeling of being on a tropical island Like staying at a Bali resort Looking at the beach The room is very spacious The building has low density You can park directly under the hotel I think this place is really suitable for a vacation Of course, the price isn’t too cheap I don’t know if one room With more people staying Splitting the cost would be more economical Maybe because there are only two of us The price isn’t very economical My room type this time Should be the most basic one But it already has two double beds And a small kitchen The bathroom is also beautiful The facilities are already sufficient for me But after staying for a while I’ve already discovered a small drawback here Maybe because the surrounding area is a bit more desolate There are really some small insects Small insects are not only seen outside You can also see some small insects inside the room Maybe when staff clean the rooms They open the floor-to-ceiling windows Some small flying insects fly into the room As a result, now that I’m staying here Although I’ve turned on the air conditioning And closed the door There are still some I don’t know if they’re mosquitoes or ordinary insects Making me a bit uneasy I’ve already killed several I hope there won’t be small flying insects tonight Mosquitoes biting me while I sleep Wish me luck Changed clothes and heading out Now I’ll take you to a place I think is very unique Of course, unique attractions require some driving to reach About a 20+ minute drive from the hotel You’ll see many farmland landscapes along the way We’ve now come to this place in Itoshima Called Ito Anzori This was originally a soy sauce factory But they’ve repurposed the soy sauce factory building It’s now become a café There are four shops here One is a café There are also two restaurants They should be reservation-only You need to book to eat there But I think Ito Anzori is quite worth visiting Because it used to be a soy sauce factory It has preserved its classic, old exterior Inside, it has also preserved some Japanese-style interior design You can choose to sit at Western-style tables and chairs Some sofas On the other side there are Japanese-style rooms With tatami mats You need to take off your shoes to enter Like a Japanese tea room I think it’s quite unique It’s divided into several areas You can freely choose which side to sit on Here, all orders are placed via mobile phone You can order all the food on the menu Besides the café There’s also a small shop here With many Japanese seasonings, cakes, and small desserts You can buy them to try at home I ordered this seasonal limited blueberry pie With cream between each layer But maybe because summer is too hot Not long after it was served The cream has already started to melt It’s already starting to collapse I hope I captured its perfect state earlier It’s actually a Napoleon cake Quite delicious The cream isn’t too sweet But because the puff pastry is very crispy I’m afraid cutting it will make it shatter completely So I’m eating it layer by layer now Now it’s time for my favorite canelé The texture inside is quite moist Crispy outside, soft inside That’s the texture I like most about canelés Its crispy shell is crunchy when you bite into it The inside is really moist So moist it’s a bit soft and fluffy This canelé is good Only 280 yen At first, I didn’t have high expectations for their canelé Because there’s a general store here With many seasonings or foods displayed That you can buy to take home Some of the pastries Like cakes or canelés Are already packaged and placed here You can actually buy them to eat at home But when I ordered here They gave me exactly the same thing I thought These pre-packaged desserts Should taste average But they actually taste quite good I think all the seats here are great for taking photos If you’re like me And really like these Showa-era buildings With somewhat retro designs You really should come sit at this café First, I think the food tastes quite good I ordered a Napoleon cake And also a canelé I think both are good And the coffee is quite tasty too All the seating here Has a nostalgic Japanese feeling I really like these nostalgic Yet somewhat renovated cafés You see I often introduce these old folk house cafés I think this place in Itoshima is also worth visiting I see many Japanese people specifically driving here And the space is quite large You don’t have to wait for a table when you come There are always empty tables But its location isn’t very close to the city center It takes some time to drive here If you’re planning a day trip without self-driving It might not be too convenient It’s more suitable for friends who are self-driving Also, they close quite early They close at 5:30 PM Last order is at 5:00 PM So you can’t schedule a visit too late Otherwise, you’ll be rushed for time Recently I’ve experienced A bottleneck in running my YouTube channel You could call it a recent setback It seems YouTube’s algorithm has changed again Some content I thought would be drove to a nearby Aeon Usually in these places away from big cities There are some very large supermarkets This Aeon is connected to several Daiso stores And shops like Threepy Each with a very large area My goal is very clear To buy souvenirs for my cat There are many pet supplies for sale here These two are what I often buy for my cat to eat I don’t know if this is cod or crab Its name is crab stick But the ingredients should be cod Recently she loves eating this These are normally used with added water To make her drink more water And some cat food cans I feed her when I have time Because she’s too greedy She can’t eat too much After shopping at the supermarket, it’s almost sunset I need to go back to the hotel Shops in Itoshima generally close earlier There aren’t many activities at night I can fully enjoy the hotel Since the hotel offers room service Tonight I’ve decided to fully enjoy this room Ordering room service at the hotel Besides room service There’s also a small bar downstairs Where you can drink beer You can sit down and have a drink I bought two bottles of drinks downstairs This Loiter is where I originally planned to eat An Italian gelato shop But I couldn’t go today It turns out they also have their ice cream here Because it’s hard to find convenience stores in Itoshima So there are drinks for sale downstairs at the hotel The price is also reasonable They also have alcoholic drinks I forgot to buy drinks when I was in the city earlier So I’ll buy some here now I actually bought two Italian ice creams as well But I put them in the refrigerator Now I’m getting ready to eat But the room service here is a bit unusual It’s not delivered by staff You have to pick it up yourself Although we can order from our room Using our phone But someone has to go get the food I think since there’s a small dining area here I should make the most of it So I’ll have dinner here tonight If there’s nothing else, I’ll start eating now It tastes good I also bought
