【廃道】廃止から46年、旧道の先にあったものは~登尾トンネル旧道区間(河津町) #廃道 #国道414号
They filled it back in on purpose. Oh, it seems to be a national highway. This sign is still there . There are traces. This is the Kawazu Nanataki Loop Bridge, which I introduced in my last video. Thanks to you, so many people have watched it, and I’m very grateful. This channel introduces old roads, abandoned roads, tunnels, bridges, and other road-related topics. I update irregularly about several times a week, so if you’re interested in this kind of stuff , please subscribe and set notifications to watch the latest videos . I received several valuable comments in my last video. What I found particularly interesting was the discussion about the existence of the old road and the landslide caused by the Izu Oshima earthquake. Looking back, I realized that the old road had left traces of the old road. If I had tried a little harder, I probably would have noticed it. I was a little careless. Actually, when I explore like this, I try to only look at the research of my predecessors to a minimum. Otherwise, the novelty fades when I actually go to the site. Well, relying on the achievements of my predecessors would reduce oversights and allow me to tour the ruins in an organized manner, but that would seem like revenge. Between you and me, I sometimes see people who publish videos and blogs that make me want to call them “Yokkiren’s Revision Channel ,” but I think it would be more fun to do a little more research myself . Perhaps prioritizing efficiency over enjoyment is a sign of a high level of professionalism. On the other hand, I’ll always remain an amateur. That said, I should have at least checked aerial photos from the 1960s regarding the old road here . If I had, I would have noticed the change from the old road to the old road . So, I’ll go back when it cools down. Next time, I’ll definitely do as much research as possible. By the way, I really enjoy doing preliminary research using old aerial photos, maps, and documents . Researching documents and copying other people’s reports are similar. Well, I’ve expressed my regrets, but in this video I’m going to investigate the old section of the Nobo Tunnel, about 1km northwest of the Loop Bridge. First, take a look at this. This is a current aerial photo available on Google Maps . This is the Nobo Tunnel. Next, this. This was taken in December 1976, a little over a year before the Izushima-Kinkai Earthquake . You can see that there was a road to the west of where the tunnel is now. This is our target. By the way, at the time, it wasn’t yet designated as a national highway. It was a major prefectural road, or prefectural road . However, there was one problem with this exploration. On the north side of the tunnel, there’s a point where the current and old roads might have merged, but looking at Street View, it doesn’t seem like the entrance to the old road remains. Instead, there’s a building that looks like it used to be a restaurant. It’s apparently closed now, but we can’t just barge in. So, for now, I’ll approach the old road from the south side. Since I don’t know what the situation is like on the north side, I’ll keep an eye on it and avoid causing any trouble. This is Nobo Tunnel. The old road lies to the left. I’ll go through the tunnel, park my car a little ways ahead, and then start exploring. Hello, everyone. This is Papakeno from “Some Old Things on the Road.” Thank you for your continued viewing, comments, and likes. Today, I’m in Izu. Um, where am I? Kawazu Town ? Which way? Um, I think. Anyway, I’m on National Route 414. Right now, there’s no traffic, but just now, there were cars coming through. Well, maybe it’s because it’s a holiday evening, but there’s a lot of traffic. So, today, there’s a tunnel nearby called Nobo Tunnel, completed in 1979. I’m going to walk the old road that led through that tunnel. Of course, it’s now abandoned. Thank you for your support . Anyway, let’s get going. This is the Nobo bus stop. Um, the tunnel is just around the corner. Uphill tunnel. All right. So, what’s going on? It ‘s 195.1 meters long. As I said, it was completed in 1979, so this year marks its 46th anniversary . So, well, I guess this is supposed to be a sidewalk. Going through here, it’s not too scary, right? And, well, the lights might be a nuisance to cars, so I’ll just go along. Well, there’s no point in covering this tunnel, so I’ll just walk along without using them. Well, there’s no point in covering this tunnel, but as I walk along, I can see that it’s quite one-sided. Well, I’ve come through. And the old road is this way. Let’s get going. Quickly. It originally curved like this, and then made another sharp curve here. It was like this. And, oh, the pavement is still there. Wow. Oh, it’s still there, so it’s still there. Oh , it’s still there. Oh, it’s still there. Oh, it’s falling. From above. No, no, no, no, no, no. But, it looks like the pavement is still there. Actually, I just walked along the old road near that loop bridge, the Kawazu Nanataki Loop Bridge, and there was no pavement there at all. I thought that was strange, and sure enough, the old road over there was stripped of its pavement. Probably. Because this tunnel was built in 1979, and the loop bridge was built in 1981 , I think. Yeah. So the construction work was progressing around the same time, and this road must have become the old road, so it’s strange that only this side is paved. So they did strip the pavement over there. And, you know, it seems like the road is wider than the loop bridge section. This is a road that can be used normally. Well, of course there are benefits to building a tunnel. Okay. Oh, there’s something. Oh, maybe this is a cell phone base station. Oh, wait, are there really just power lines running through here? No, no. There are no power lines on this side. So that’s why they were there. Oh, it’s KDDI, after all. Yeah. This is a KDDI base station. And there’s an abandoned septic tank. This is a septic tank, right? Well, you know, when you think of abandoned roads, you kind of imagine toilets being abandoned, but it’s a little unusual to see a septic tank abandoned. Yeah. But, how should I put it? For road enthusiasts, this is a pretty mature abandoned road. Also, I suddenly noticed that there are no guardrails on this road. And the slope hasn’t been constructed at all. Ah, there it is, there it is. So there was a guardrail here. Yeah. It’s probably not a guard rope . It must be a guardrail. Oh, I see. It was removed. But these are the only supports left. Yeah. And that’s how it feels. Things are suddenly getting pretty rough up ahead. This isn’t so much a landslide as it is road closure construction. They probably filled it in on purpose, it seems to be a national highway. That sign is still there . There were traces. Hmm. Oh, there’s a proper slope here. Hmm. Yeah. So, it’s good here . Yeah. This part is completely backfilled. Is it called backfilling? In these cases, it’s, well, buried for the time being. Ah, so this is probably where we came out of the tunnel. Ah, I see. On the side of that tunnel where we came from earlier, there were what looked like the remains of a drive-in just before, so I was wondering if we might end up there and that would be a problem , but it seems that’s not the case. But no. The old road is clearly still here. It extended this way. Good . Good. I mean. Huh? But then I couldn’t find the junction with the current road. There was a telephone pole there. Oh, but it was coming from below. Huh? The flat area disappeared just past this abandoned house. And one level up was the back of a house next to the national highway. I didn’t want to force my way through and startle them, so I quietly turned back. Heave ho, heave ho, heave . No, no. Um, I was about to end up behind someone’s house. I thought I heard some kind of voice, and when I looked, there was laundry hanging out to dry . So, I wonder what was going on. Um, just beyond the current national highway, there was a no parking sign. It would be strange if it didn’t continue straight. Anyway, it was impossible to pass beyond that point, so turning back here wasn’t really a loss, you know. Yes. And that ‘s all for today’s video. Thank you for watching. See you again . Bye-bye. It remains a mystery how the north side of the old road connected to the current road. I think I wasn’t wrong because I went straight through the flat area where there was a no parking sign, but it’s possible that the roadbed of the old road collapsed or was destroyed. Incidentally, the tunnel was built the year after the Izu Oshima coastal earthquake, but that was such a short period of time that I don’t think the road was rerouted because of the earthquake. If anyone knows the details , I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Well then

今回も香ばしいイイ廃道(旧道)でしたね。ありがとございました😁。
大島の話題が出たので。人1人分の切通し、なんちゃって砂漠、地層を見に行くのは如何ですか?
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo !
🖐🖐👍
