[CÂNIOS DO VIANA] Cometemos um ERRO FATAL ao entrar com a TÉNÉRÉ no ALAGADO – S12/EP11

Hold on, let me start the bike… Hold on to the bike, hold on to the bike, it’s going to fall over on my side… Oops, flat… Guys, Thiago speaking, starting another video for the channel, live here from Bom Jesus, Piauí. Hey Lê, ready for today? Another day, huh. Yesterday we got here, and after I finished the video, I went to back up the files, but my computer stopped working. So now, I have to be very careful with the cards, which are the only source of all the material we’re recording. And while I was trying to use the computer, Lê was trying, but trying not, he was working on his bike. Tell me about the stator, what happened to your bike? Yesterday, at the entrance to Piauí, another saga began . Just as I was leaving there… that is, we made a stop there… on the Bahia-Piauí border. At the Bahia-Piauí border, my motorcycle stopped starting automatically. I kick-started it, and we came here. When we arrived, I started looking for the problem, thinking it was the stator. I measured it with a multimeter back and forth, and the stator was fine. I removed the seat and found another surprise: the battery terminal was broken. But we’re already a bit “trained.” We brought wire, Poxipol, and did a Magiver on the battery, and the bike started up again. Guys, we already bought some groceries at the market for today. We plan to camp in Vianas; it’s already so hot it melts our bones. Now let’s stop at the gas station and fill up. It’s 8:40 AM, and it’s about 60 km to the end of the Canyons. We’re here waiting, waiting to see how the bikes and we will handle on the sandy terrain , and it rained. It’s going to be a different situation than the last time I came here. Everything was dry, so I don’t know what it’s going to be like. The sign “Cânions do Viana” is gone, and I don’t know what the gates will be like, whether they’ll be locked or not. But we’ll find out now; stay tuned for the next few scenes. With the spot on, in this kind of place, it’s always good to have a spot, which is a satellite tracker, and it has an SOS button. We’re leaving here, Hotel Brasão. The tank is already full; we filled it yesterday. And starting this day, asking, once again, for God’s protection, so that we can overcome the day’s challenges and enjoy this beautiful God, which we’ll see today. Remembering the channel’s partners, BNP Seguros, if you want to insure your motorcycle, contact Eduardo there; he’ll get you a good quote for your motorcycle, car, or home. Travel insurance from Vital Card is the only provider I found that doesn’t require an additional fee for motorcycle travel. You can do it directly through the link I left here in the description and use my discount coupon, thinoronha. You can find any motorcycle clothing, helmets, Macna, Shoei, and other top brands at Nacar. Go to the website and use my discount coupon. Alltracks top cases are very useful for carrying my luggage safely here. I lock them and can rest easy wherever I stop. Now, let’s move on. I’ll stop at the gas station to fill up my Wolf thermos because it’s very hot and we’ll be facing sand, so I need plenty of water. And this is the city of Bom Jesus, in Piauí. Stop here at the Noronha gas station— can you believe the gas station is called Noronha? Leave the motorcycle here so it’s out of the way. I’ll leave the bottle here, and I left some clothes to dry. I don’t even know if I should take an extra bottle, just in case. Actually, I don’t know if Mr. Milton, who has a little house in the middle, is still there. And there was water there at the time, I don’t even know if we’ll be able to get there, if the gate will be closed or not. That’s it, water stocked, I bought another bottle of water, just in case, so I’m taking… 1, 2, 3, almost 4 liters of water. Leaving Bom Jesus here, 8:50. The bike was loaded, but at least the leak stopped, with this system we developed here, using the flame arrestor. So yesterday, what did we do with Lê’s battery? The battery terminal broke. I had a superb screw, one of those screws with a… it’s like a mini drill on the end. We threaded this screw into the battery lead that was left over from the terminal. I brought a 6mm wire, wrapped it around the screw, and filled the terminal with Poxipol, an epoxy resin, to lock it in place. And then we connected the end of the wire to the cable that powers the motorcycle, and it worked. Thankfully, it wasn’t a stator or a rectifier. So here, 2 km from the city, there will be a sign saying UFPI – Federal University of Piauí, and the entrance is right here in front. There used to be a sign saying Viana Canyons, but now it’s gone. Right here. Yesterday we came here, in the previous video, those who watched saw, we came to take a photo, where the Sertões Rally support team was located, which passed through here, if I’m not mistaken, in 19 and 23. I came here in 2021, so four years later, I’m coming back here. Soon the asphalt ends, the dirt begins, and the sand is much further ahead. Look… the rusty little sign. So here on the left, is the entrance to the university, go straight ahead, Bom Jesus University. Right here in front is the place where the Sertões Rally support team was located. This was the support team, on this terrain here , and right there in front, the asphalt ends. “Wow,” I came in here with the 800, heavy, with smooth asphalt tires, I was so nervous, it even gave me a stomachache on the way. And here the asphalt is already ending. These first kilometers are packed dirt, the sand starts further ahead. And now the Off-Road begins. I keep imagining the guys at the Rally, coming in here with their bikes already at that power, riding upright, with the bikes light, without any luggage, tearing up this dirt road here. The sky is a little cloudy, let’s see if we can get a good shot when the walls arrive. Good morning. And less than 5 km from the beginning of the Earth, there’s already a sign here, Welcome to the Viana Canyons. This is a place, it’s a road that if we go straight, we’ll come out in other towns, there’s… Guaribas and Morro Cabeça do Tempo. The good part, I think, is that it rained and the sand should be a bit more compacted. Let’s see. We’ve already covered 10 km, from Bom Jesus, it’s still a dirt road . We passed a few little houses here in the middle of the road, but it’s calm. A few puddles of water, but nothing out of the ordinary for a dirt road, and some rock formations are already starting to appear. We stopped here to take a picture of this little mud house. I think these things are beautiful. And the man there told me that Mr. Milton still lives there, in the same place. Is this considered backlands, agreste? Backlands. It’s the backlands of Piauí, oh great. That’s it, thanks for the information. Good morning to you. The people here are very welcoming. I stopped to ask him if Mr. Milton is still there. “Let’s go,” and opening the door for us, I said, “No, we don’t know how to walk very well on sand, we want to keep going.” So there’s a fork here; it’s not Jatobá farm, it’s this way. We’ve already driven approximately 20 km from Bom Jesus. I’m giving you the mileage here so you have a reference if anyone wants to come here. And the formations are already starting to appear there. The road is still gravel, approximately 30 km, no sand yet. And the wall there, the most beautiful thing in God’s name. Lê Cappel with the Tenera, the Brooks Shields, with the tank glued, not glued, welded, loaded. The grandmas are traveling the Sertões International Rally route. So, about 32 km in, some rocks start to appear, these flooded areas, rainy season. Go through here slowly, so as not to… I don’t know what the bottom is like, suddenly it’s smooth. Last time, even this stretch was more sand, now there’s a lot of gravel. Be careful, it’s deep there. Here, some of the rocks are already there, the dams are already quite full, and for now, there’s no cattle. Last time, there were also a lot of cattle scattered like this, on the road . Look at that old cattle there… Look at all that. Enjoying the cool day. Good morning. Few know the beauty of this one. Thanks to the Rally, which passed through here, it became a little better known. Look, what kind of rock is that? It looks like this used to be a riverbed, this road here, which cuts through the Canyons. Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. Wow, Thiago, I should have gone around there. Did it catch? It caught my foot, I can’t get it off. Did it? The fender was already gone, it was dry… Wait a minute. Can you let go? Can you let go of the bike? Yes. It’s a shame the fender broke, I was upset. It wasn’t my intention, but my leg hit the fender when I tried to get up. I tried to get out of the hole, but I couldn’t. What are you doing there, Lê? I’m digging around here, they said… I took a piece of my fender… Guys, starting today, Le Cappel bought a piece of land, which is right at the beginning of the Canyons. I just bought that piece over there, so that puddle all around there, a 20-meter radius, is mine, I bought it, and in a little while, we’ll sign the deed. And the beginning of the Canyons is here, we’ll have to stop here right now, to take a little picture. It’s practically 35 km from Bom Jesus. I think the bike looks better on this side. And now let’s go into… the main part. This is already a sandy stretch, but since it’s wet, you can ride. Look, how beautiful. “How beautiful, no.” “Ahô” old warhorse, don’t come at me, man… Good morning. Good morning… So much picanha. Look at the cattle, they trample it here, it’s even easier to walk . That one looks angry. They look at it with curiosity. This rain saved us, you know, because I’ve… we’ve been through places that are definitely sandy. It’s a shame the sky isn’t blue, because it makes the image more beautiful, but riding here is wonderful. The sand here is deep, it doesn’t look like it because it’s wet. This is where you have to accelerate, but what about the courage to accelerate and stay upright on the bike, with the bike loaded? But it doesn’t compare to the time I passed by here, I passed by on the 800, with slick tires. And everything was dry… I suffered there. Structures… The canyon is still open, soon it will start to narrow, it will be even more beautiful. The blue sky to gift us. Guys, you have no idea how good it is to ride here, with compact sand. How beautiful. There’s a gate here, no, there’s the other side there to pass through. These TCX boots I’m wearing are waterproof; they didn’t get wet, despite all the rain I got in, even stepping in the water here. We’re going to start here, in one of the most beautiful parts, which is the narrowest part with these cliffs nearby. Approximately 40 km from Bom Jesus. Look here. Samba doesn’t ride motorcycles. This deserves a photo. You’ll stay right here. Is it splashing up a lot? A little, but there’s no way around it. But a dirty uniform looks better. And that puddle the motorcycle sank in? That puddle was awesome, huh? It soaked the boot. Drone footage was successful. Now it should be about… 20 km to get to Mr. Milton’s farm. The sun is coming out and the sand is starting to dry. Le Cappel bought another piece of land. Do you want to become a farmer? The thing was so fast, there wasn’t even time to film. Did it bend? It’s really smooth. I’m holding on, okay ? Are you holding on? Yes. It’s slippery up ahead, huh? Yeah. I sambaed. It’s slippery here… That hole there… There’s a well here… There’s a well here… Hold on, let me start the bike. No, let’s turn it off. It can’t be done, it’s too heavy. Don’t worry, you can let go. Okay, I bought my land too. I’ll try to get through there. Did you see the hole there? Sinking there… Boy… It’s over. Keep going. “Wow, we’re going to be thrilled.” Now a river has formed, guys. Here in the corner… and hope there’s no hole. See, it was originally a river. Le Cappel is on top of the grass, there to slip, it’s two sticks. It’s ending already. Keep going, and there’s a hole there. Let me see what the situation is like here, we can get through… We can get through. We can get through here, it’s slippery, but we can get through. I can’t hear the sound of Lê’s bike, did he fall? Turn it off here. “What’s going on?” Gas is leaking. It’s going to sink here. Will it start? Start it. Hold on, it’s going to fall into the hole here. Hold on to the bike, hold on to the bike, it’s going to tip over onto my side. Don’t let it go back, just don’t let it go back. Take heart. We’ve already checked there, it’s possible to pass, it’s not that shallow, but it’s not that deep, but it’s smooth, that’s the only thing to be careful of. Just in case, we’ll pass one bike at a time. Easy, easy. We’re 8 km from Mr. Milton’s place here, so it won’t be long. Stop here in the shade, give Lê a hand. Now it’s Lê Cappel’s turn. Boy, you like to get into some adventures, huh? We’re crossing, let’s keep going now. Let’s see if there’ll be any more flooded stretches. Only horses have passed here, there are no more motorcycle tire tracks, there were until a little while ago. More flooded, could it be? More flooded. Where does the road go now? This way… I think the road is over there. Hold on, you’ll have to analyze it, above here, over the bushes. Let’s do this: I’ll take the drone and see what it’s like up ahead. The man walked… over there and won’t come back. I’ll follow him on the motorcycle. He went to see what the flooded area is like up ahead, and his motorcycle hasn’t crossed that last part yet. With the drone, I saw that there’s a very large flooded area up ahead. It’s that big thing. I want to go, but for the sake of it, I think it’s better if we go back. But this is something we have to decide together. It’s only 8 km from Mr. Milton. Le Capel is a pain, look how far he walked. This is one of the flooded areas I saw. He must have passed here. The dam up ahead… Here you can cross, it’s deep, you just have to hit it a little, but it’s easy to slip, and up ahead the dam is very deep, and the road is very high. Is there… can you cross? You can get through. That’s the easy part, the hard part is here. From the dam, over there in front of the swamp, another swamp… You didn’t go? I didn’t, I went all the way up there. Are we going or not? Come on. Let’s go then. Get your bike. Where was it? It fell off the ground. It saved my business here. Here, go there, go there… come closer. Nice. Look at the sand here. The sand is drying. I had to take off my vest, it’s so hot. Next swamp, deep. We passed, up here, in the woods. Look at these walls, God’s beautiful thing. Look at the dam, how high it is, magnificent here, look. This is one of the most beautiful parts. Horse print. It fell again, but I need… I can’t leave the bike here, it’s sinking. See if I can find a rock… Here. No, this is manure. Stay there, bike. You saw my flat tire there, right? Yeah, I tried to swerve. It’s really slippery. Look at this, my friends, “how beautiful!” It’s a mixture of joy and tension, of passing through here, and at any moment the bike goes off the track. If I let off the throttle here, it falls, it stops. I can’t even turn on the 360 now, now it’s good. The grass is really tall here. How beautiful, I’ll have to stop to take a picture, just find a good angle here. I’m getting good at falling, training a lot. Photos taken, we continue. A wet stretch, which looks pretty smooth. Should I go this way? Let me see what the… Old water is like. I don’t know if it was a good idea for me to come this way. Geez… Flat. I have to go that way. Come here, see if it’s deep here. Can you climb up there? It’s deep, huh. Do you think? It’s pretty deep. And here? No, it’s the same here. You have to pull the front wheel there. The rear is sinking, push the rear. Now I think it’s up ahead. Hold on, hold on, hold on, I’ll have to turn off the bike. I’m going to have to get out of here, turn off the bike, will you? Leave it on, right? On. Off? Leave it on. I can’t get it into neutral. It got into neutral and died. Pull it, I’m going… Go… Go… Go… Go… Come… A little more. Just a little more.

Neste episódio entramos nos Cânions do Viana alagado e tivemos grandes surpresas.
