0544【栃木・那須ロープウェイ】茶臼岳の8合目までGO!【展望台あり】
Nasu Ropeway to Chausu-dake 8th Station! Please also use the chapter list in the description section . Sanroku Station has a large parking lot. There is also a route bus from Nasu Yumoto Onsen. The altitude of Sanroku Station is 1390m . It takes about 4 minutes by ropeway to the summit station, which is the 8th station of Chausu-dake and 1684m above sea level . First, buy a ticket. For adults, the round trip fare is 1800 yen. One way is 1200 yen. For children up to elementary school age, the round trip fare is 900 yen. One way is 600 yen. There are also discounted group fares. From the summit station, you will enter the mountain trail. There are many rocky areas, so you will need hiking boots and mountain climbing equipment. Chausu-dake is 1915m above sea level. According to the official video of Nasu Ropeway, the view is very beautiful, but this time I was wearing everyday clothes and regular sneakers, so I did not go to the top of Chausu-dake, but just walked around the summit station. From the summit of Mt. Chausu, you can also traverse to Mt. Asahi and Mt. Sanbonyari. However, when you return, be careful not to miss the last ropeway . Even though it takes 4 minutes by ropeway, it takes several hours to walk down the mountain. If you are going to climb the mountain, fill out the climber’s card at the base station and put it in the box. There was a commemorative stamp next to it. I forgot to stamp the stamp at the summit station. I bought a ticket at the ticket machine. The ropeway runs every 20 minutes. From 8:30am to 4:30pm. During busy periods, the opening hours may be longer. There is a shop at the base station. After purchasing a ticket, please wait in the waiting room. The last ropeway for the ascent is at exactly 4:00pm today. The last ropeway for the descent is at 4:20am. If you miss the last ropeway for the descent, you will have to walk along the mountain trail for 2.5 to 3 hours to descend. Please be careful. The next ropeway departs at 3:20pm. The ticket gates open 2-3 minutes before the train departs. You can wait while eating soft serve ice cream and dumplings. This is the ticket gate. The timetable for the day is also displayed on the monitor. It was evening, so it was pretty quiet as we were heading to the summit station by ropeway . At this time, it would be impossible to make a round trip to the summit of Chausu-dake. You can see the summit of Chausu-dake in front of you, Mt. Asahi-dake to the right, and the fields below in the background. The conductor will also be on board the ropeway and will make a guide announcement of the scenery you can see from the ropeway. The microphone was bad, so the parts that were not audible are marked as “?”. I’m sorry. Okay, we’re off. Thank you very much for riding the Nasu Ropeway today. The ropeway leaves the base station and heads to the summit station. The operation time is about 4 minutes. To the left of the direction of travel, you can see the ??? view of Nasu. A funny view of Nasu? I don’t think so. A funny view… You can see Mt. Asahi, 1,896m above sea level, to the upper right as you head in the direction you are heading. You will soon see the observation deck on the right as you head in the direction you are heading in. There is a parking lot on the other side of the observation deck. Over there is the Toge no Chaya Parking Lot. At the back of the parking lot, there is the entrance to the hiking trail to Mt. Chausu, and customers who hike up will head to Mt. Chausu from there . You can go there by car. Now that I do n’t know where it is , I will tell you about Mt. Nasu. Customers often ask me, “Where is Mt. Nasu?” However, strictly speaking, there is no single mountain called “Mt. Nasu.” Mt. Chausu, where you are heading, Mt. Asahi, which you can see to the right, and Mt. Sanbonyari, beyond Mt. Asahi, are all referred to as Mt. Nasu. Mt. Chausu is sometimes called Mt. Nasu, but strictly speaking, it is correct to use it as a general term. This is not uncommon, for example, Mt. Akagi in Gunma Prefecture. There is no mountain called “Mount Akagi” here either. Mountains such as Jizo-dake are collectively called “Mount Akagi”. Mount Haruna is also in Gunma Prefecture. There is no mountain called Mount Haruna. There is something called the Mount Haruna Ropeway. The mountain that the ropeway is on is called “Haruna Fuji”. We will pass the support pillar. If you are standing, please hold on to the straps. It will sway back and forth as it passes. It’s swaying! On the right side of the direction of travel, Mount Asahi is visible right next to us. We can also see the parking lot. There is an observation deck at the summit station, so please enjoy the view from there. Sorry to keep you waiting, we will be arriving soon. When we arrive, the left and right platforms will be fixed. It will sway for a moment . The downhill collection trip today is at 4:20. If you miss this flight, you will have to walk down the mountain trail for 2.5 to 3 hours. If you are taking the ropeway, please return to the summit station by 4:20 no matter how late you are. The ropeway runs every 20 minutes until 4:20. Yes , we have arrived. This platform will shake when it reaches the bottom. Yes, it is now fixed. The doors will open. Thank you for riding. Please watch your step. Please do not leave anything behind. We have arrived at the summit station. There are shops and vending machines at the summit station and its surroundings . There is also an observation deck at the summit station. It is not a good weather because it will start raining after this, but we were able to get a good view of the world below. This is the ticket gate and toilet. It is smaller than the base station, but there is a shop, vending machines, and an observation deck, so you can take shelter in the rain. A diorama made this year was on display. It was donated by the Otawara High School Mountaineering Club. The last bus for today is at 4:20. There is a thunderstorm warning, so I’ll just take a quick look at the scenery and head home. It seems that it takes 30 minutes to walk to Mt. Nasu from here. It takes 1 hour round trip. The distance is about 1km, but the slope is steep. There should be smoke coming out of “Muen Jigoku” on the other side of the mountain, but it’s cloudy so I can’t see it. I only walked around the area that is mostly flat and easy to walk on. There is a sidewalk, but I recommend wearing sneakers. You can also see Mt. Asahi in the distance. If you go further, you can reach the top of Mt. Chausu. Finally, I look around the whole area and head home. I take the 3:40 ropeway back to the base of the mountain . It’s almost dinner time, so I didn’t eat anything this time. At lunchtime, you can eat at the summit station or the base station, which is convenient. I wonder if they are fixed in place here. On the way down, I sit in a chair and take it easy. <♪> <♪> <♪> <♪> Okay, let’s get going. <♪> Thank you for riding the Nasu Ropeway today. The ropeway leaves the summit station and heads to the base station. The ride takes about four minutes. On the left as you head in the direction of travel, you can see Mt. Asahi directly to the side. On the lower right as you head in the direction of travel, you can see the view of Nasunogahara. In front of you is a view of Fukushima Prefecture??? We will soon pass the support pillar. What do you think of the many house martins flying around? Now, let me tell you about this gondola. This gondola was made in Switzerland and can carry up to 111 people including the conductor. It is a very large gondola. 111 people is the equivalent of two large chartered buses. There are three wires on top of the gondola. Of these three wires, the wires at both ends are like rails for trains. These two wires barely move. The middle wire pulls the gondola. By the way, this is a new one that was replaced in December of last year. And this glowing wire is connected to the gondola we just passed. So, on this ropeway, the up and down trips depart at the same time. They move at the same speed, and the point where they pass each other is the halfway point. It is never the case that only one side is moving. Where is this pulling wire pulled? It is pulled by a large motor located under the base station. As it is a motor, it is powered by electricity. A power outage would be a big problem, so the ropeway is often suspended when lightning is approaching. So, what happens if there is actually a power outage? That’s the story. For times like that, there is a diesel engine under the base station. It’s called the reserve engine, and you can switch to it to operate. When this ropeway is powered by electricity, it takes 4 minutes one way. With the reserve engine, it takes 20 minutes one way. Because it’s only reserve power. But 20 minutes is a long time. During the winter work period (the service is suspended from December to March) , when we go up during this period, we use the reserve engine to go up. Those 20 minutes are long. It’s not that it’s long, it’s cold. Next, about the straps, customers often say that they have a strange shape. Usually they are round or triangular, but this one is a ball. From what I’ve researched, the London Underground is shaped like this. The gondolas are made in Switzerland, so please think of it as a European specification. With that story over, we have arrived. Thank you for riding. This ? ? will shake when it goes all the way down. Thank you for riding. Please watch your step. Please don’t leave anything behind. Thank you to the conductor and the guide. It was almost 4pm and the last gondola was leaving. There was no one in the waiting area. Oh, there was a commemorative medal that the kids wanted. Finally, we said goodbye with a video of the Killing Stone, which is said to be the incarnation of the nine-tailed fox, and where we went the next day. If you found this video helpful, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel. Please check out our other videos too . Thank you for watching until the end. Please come and see us again. See you soon! Traveling Snow Leopard
