🚫 BUSINESS ACTIVITIES PROHIBITED FOR KENYANS (AND OTHER NON-CITIZENS) IN TANZANIA
As per the Schedule issued under Order 3, dated 25th July, 2025, the following business activities are strictly prohibited for non-citizens in Tanzania, including Kenyans:
Retail and Wholesale Trade
Excludes supermarkets, specialised product outlets, and wholesale centers for local producers.
Mobile Money Transfers
Repair Services
Mobile phones and electronic devices.
Salon Business
Unless based in a hotel or conducted for tourism purposes.
Cleaning Services
Home, office, and environmental cleanliness.
Small-scale Mining
Postal and Parcel Delivery Services (within Tanzania)
Tour Guiding (within Tanzania)
Establishing or Operating Radio & TV Stations
Operating Museums or Curio Shops
Business & Real Estate Brokerage/Agency
Clearing and Forwarding Services
On-Farm Crop Purchasing Operations
Operating Gambling Machines or Devices
Except within licensed casino premises.
Owning or Operating Micro and Small Industries
