6日にいちど東京と小笠原を結ぶ唯一の交通手段の「おがさわら丸」が父島を離れる時には、たくさんのツアーボートが「おがさわら丸」に並走をして見送ってくれます。
見送るボートからは「さようなら」ではなく「行ってらっしゃ～い！」の声、そして「おがさわら丸」の上からは「行ってきま～す！」と返す。これが小笠原流です。
そして見送りのフィナーレは、並走をしていたボートから見送る人たちが次々に海へダイブ！
日本一感動する見送り光景です。

The linner Ogasawara-maru that is the only transportation connecting Tokyo and Ogasawara once every six days.
When the Ogasawara-maru leaves Chichi-jima, many tour boats will run parallel to the Ogasawara-maru to see tourists off on the ship.
We will say “Have a nice day!” instead of saying “Goodbye”, And the passengers on the Ogawara-maru returns us “See you around!” This is the Ogasawara style.
And in the finale of the see off, the people who see them off from the boat dive into the sea one after another!
It is the most impressed farewell scene in Japan.
