女木島探險一日遊 | 高松車站新商場 TAKAMATSU ORNE | 高松人氣美食 骨付鳥 + UDON | 推薦景點 香川縣立博物館 玉藻公園

Hey guys! We’re in Takamatsu right now! We’re starting today’s trip from Takamatsu Station. Takamatsu Port is right next to the station. So this time, we’re taking a ferry to explore some nearby spots. This bank is called “140 Bank”, kinda unique, right? The bread from Shunpudo is recommended, you’ve gotta try it. And not just bread—their handmade pudding is great too! When you’re in Kagawa, udon is definitely a must-eat. Look at that line, so many people! This place here is Mentani, it’s super popular for udon! It’s best to come before lunch if you want to beat the line. There’s also a seafood dry goods shop, it’s super fun to explore. They’ve got all kinds of dried seafood, really impressive. Last time we came, we bought a ton of kelp and tiny dried fish. They’ve also got tons of bonito flakes here. They also have these whole packs available! They’ve even got flavored versions—so many kinds! You can grab a whole mix in one go, great for souvenirs! And check it out, the prices are super reasonable. Oh, and this dried fish here—highly recommend it! They’re perfect for making soup stock, like for hot pot. Now we’re heading to try udon from a classic old-school shop. This place even got featured in a magazine! It’s one of the top 5 must-try udon spots in Takamatsu! So many different flavors to choose from here. I noticed a lot of locals order the beef udon here. The most popular one is the zaru udon—cold udon noodles! This is what almost everyone orders. Here’s the beef udon, looks so good! It’s so delicious—super chewy and flavorful. Kai was loving every bite! That was one super satisfying meal. There are lots of cute little shops around Minamishinmachi too. You’ll also find plenty of old-school, traditional stores here. After lunch, we stopped by a local-favorite ice cream spot. The ice cream was super tasty, highly recommend it! After that sweet treat, we headed to the Takamatsu Art Museum. Admission is just 200 yen, and it’s free for high school students and under! Oh, and the museum has its own cafeteria too. They serve lunch and afternoon tea, it’s pretty convenient. There are lots of stylish little shops around the museum, great for browsing. There are tons of restaurants and bars along the way! Look at this Yadon (Slowpoke) mailbox! It’s way too cute! Kagawa has this Pokémon Yadon train too! This is what Takamatsu Castle used to look like. The Kagawa Prefectural Museum has tons of historical artifacts. And everything has detailed explanations too. Totally worth visiting if you’re in town. Kagawa used to be called Sanuki, and there’s a lot about that old history here. The place is full of retro, nostalgic decor. There’s also a hands-on experience room here. Here’s the info about the open hours for the experience. You can book in advance—up to a month early—to try on samurai armor! Or you can try on this Heian-period noblewoman outfit! It does cost extra though—here’s a look at the prices. Right across from the museum is Tamamo Park and Takamatsu Castle. Just about a 2-minute walk—super close! After exploring Tamamo Park, we’re heading back downtown to look for dinner. After visiting the museum and Takamatsu Castle, now we’re at the main shopping street! There are tons of must-visit shops and must-try foods here. This area is called Marugamemachi. It’s said to be 2.7 km long—the longest arcade-style shopping street in Japan! Look at that sleek design—it’s super stylish and fun to walk around. This plaza here is gorgeous too, check it out! One of Takamatsu’s must-try foods—Bone-in Chicken! As expected from a popular spot, the stairs are packed with people waiting! Ordering is super easy—they have QR codes and even translations to help you out. “Young chicken” probably means a baby chicken, right? We also got the fish and eggplant that were recommended on the menu. Oh, and we got some wasabi octopus too! The eggplant was unexpectedly delicious—so good! And here’s the main dish of the night—bone-in chicken! It goes so well with cabbage and beer. We ended up ordering another round of the chicken, and this kamameshi rice cooked in chicken broth is so tasty. We’re staying at Comfort Hotel again tonight. It’s very convenient, just a 3-minute walk to the main shopping street. And the price includes breakfast, such a great deal! We already introduced it in our previous Takamatsu video. If you’re interested, go check out that video! They’ve got free drinks, coffee, and even fancy tea bags. Good morning, everyone! This is the hotel’s free breakfast buffet. After breakfast, we’re heading to Takamatsu Port. Last time we came to Takamatsu, we only visited Kotohira Shrine and Ritsurin Garden. So today, we’re planning to check out Megijima Island! It’s such a nice day—perfect for a walk by the sea. This is the ferry terminal where we’ll be boarding soon. We’re early, so let’s walk around and explore the harbor area a bit. There’s a lighthouse right at the edge of the pier up ahead. Before boarding, the ferry staff will double-check everything for you. So no worries about getting on the wrong boat! And if you’re unsure where to go, just ask! There’s even a really pretty rose garden by the port. You’ll also see lots of locals fishing here. And here we are—this is the lighthouse! Day trips from Takamatsu Port are super easy and perfect for island hopping. Alright, time to hop on the ferry! That’s the lighthouse we just visited, right ahead. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Megijima. Turns out Megijima has a connection to the Momotaro legend! We’re heading to this huge tuff cave next. Feels like an underground adventure! Momotaro! This place is seriously gorgeous. From the lookout, you can see islands in all directions. There’s a little eatery nearby—let’s go explore! Can you believe there’s actually a restaurant here? Finally found it! This really feels like an adventure! Kai couldn’t stop eating! Wasn’t enough—so we grabbed another box! It was so good we were fighting over it! There’s the ocean! A sailboat with a self-playing piano—how cool is that? Such a beautiful white sand beach. This trip to Takamatsu gave us a whole new experience. Turns out the restaurant staff were also heading back to Takamatsu! Our return ferry just arrived. Time to head back to Takamatsu Port. After getting back to Takamatsu Station… Let’s check out this brand new mall—it just opened in 2024! Last time we came, the area around the station was super quiet. Look at it now—it’s totally changed! There are a bunch of stores upstairs too. And up on the rooftop, there’s an Anpanman train for kids! And most importantly, there’s a souvenir shop with Shikoku-only goodies! Tons of stuff here, and you can even get tax-free shopping—super convenient! They’ve got tons of Takamatsu-exclusive items here too. Let’s take a look at the souvenirs here. Oh, they have the same udon we bought last time! That one on the top shelf is soooo good—we’re definitely getting more today. And this one’s not bad either. We can bring it home and still enjoy that delicious Kagawa-style udon anytime! Just note—it’s fresh noodles, so it doesn’t last too long. Oh look! There’s even a pop-up stall from the Ume Festival! We’re almost out of the umeboshi we got in Nagoya, so perfect time to restock. Everything on this shelf is super popular. Highly recommend for anyone who loves umeboshi! And yep—free samples! Let’s try some! This tomato flavor is SO good—sweet and tangy, perfect for rice balls! The kids love it! And this citrus flavor? It goes great with grilled fish or anything roasted. Time to check out! We grabbed two boxes of tomato, one citrus, and one no-salt version. All done shopping! Now heading to the airport. Quick snack before boarding. There’s a nice observation deck on the top floor of Takamatsu Airport—great for watching planes! Perfect spot to bring kids too. That wraps up our Takamatsu trip video! See you in the next one! BYE BYE!! Thanks For Watching !!
