【別府旅】そこは地獄だった…湯けむりの街 地獄めぐりと地獄蒸し | 大人の休日

A town that everyone who likes hot springs knows Beppu Today, we’re going on a tour of the hells We’ll visit the seven hells in order First, we’ll start with Umi Jigoku I’m walking briskly My husband mistook this for Umi Jigoku and was so engrossed in taking photos (+_+) This is the real thing (*^-^*) As you would expect from Umi Jigoku, the hot spring is a deep blue color The source temperature is an amazing 98 degrees! The steam is amazing! The sound of the spring gushing out is so powerful A large amount of hot spring water has accumulated in a deep depression, and crystals called silka It is said that the water reflects sunlight and appears a beautiful cobalt blue It is called Umi Jigoku because it is as deep as the sea The tropical “water lilies” are also blooming beautifully There is a stamp for the tour of hell, so I stamp it. Hell steamed food I want to eat pudding, but I’ll hold off for a bit… Next is this one, located right next to it Buddhist hell A scene reminiscent of hell A mysterious sight of grey hot mud gushing out If it splashes, it’s definitely hot… I stare at it thinking this Hot mud is gushing out all over the park Could the foot bath be made of that mud too? The water was clear. The temperature is now comfortable. Got my second stamp! Cute monk♪ The third place is Kamado Jigoku A cute kettle and a sign at the entrance♪ It somehow gives a different impression from the previous two places The spring temperature here is also 98℃ There seem to be several hot springs in Kamado Jigoku I wonder if this is the one in the photo? Beautiful cobalt blue♪ I wonder if this is blue because of the same mechanism as Umi Jigoku? It seems like you can drink the springs It’s hot!! This is Nodo no Yu My first experience♪ Feels good~ Arrived at the mud hot spring area I was able to hear a wonderful explanation An experiment to make invisible smoke visible It was a great experience♪ Everyone had a great reaction♪ The biggest hot spring in Kamado Jigoku Oh, the biggest “Hell” A beautiful sight… Now, the customary stamp! The fourth hell is Oniyama Hell What kind of hell is it? Huh? ? 99℃! It’s too hot. I can’t see anything… Thanks to the wind, I could see the whole thing for just a moment♪ The hot spring is a little greenish. There’s a lot of stuff. This is Apparently they are using the hot springs to raise crocodiles. His face is scary (sweat) Maybe he’s sleepy after eating!? Learn a little about the mechanism of hot springs and crocodiles. So he’s going to live for 73 years!? Great senior! It was a huge crocodile Next, we went to Shiraike Jigoku, which is nearby A slightly different atmosphere from the previous ones No hell-like atmosphere at all A lovely garden-like atmosphere The hot springs are a beautiful pale green. I wonder what kind of stamp will be next? There’s hell steaming here too Looks delicious… I’m a little hungry, so I’ll have a little… There’s a dining area right next door♪ From a distance, grandma and I have an egg together♪ Delicious♪ Next is Tornado Hell Tornado Hell is a geyser that erupts at short intervals, which is rare even in the world Everyone is waiting for it to erupt soon Whoooaa! It erupted with great force! There is a wall above, but it actually shoots up about 30m. I was also cautiously getting closer… Isn’t it amazing how the water shoots up at regular intervals? The power of nature. Don’t forget to get your stamp. The last hell we visit is The place that may be the most hellish. First, enjoy the hand bath at the entrance. Isn’t it redder than I thought? Wow, the whole hot spring is red. Steam is rising, this is hell! It feels like that. This redness is apparently due to hot mud containing iron oxide. It seems to have started when an old person described this town as “like hell.” I agree. This red mud is said to be good for burns and eczema. Now, the last stamp! It might be scary to turn your bathtub into a blood pool (sweat) Even within the same Beppu area, the mud was gray and the mud was red. Each of the seven places had its own unique characteristics, which made it fun. I was getting hungry. So it was finally time to eat. The place we visited was This shop This is what Beppu is all about! Hell steamed Apparently it takes about 15 minutes to complete In the meantime, I’ll make a little hell steamed bread I wonder if it’s ready soon? It smells so good♪ I’m so excited… It’s steaming beautifully♪ It’s shining♪ Let’s eat it right away Hmmmm… Delicious♪ Next, vegetables It’s great that they’re cooked with the power of nature Large shrimp♪ The sweet potato looks so sticky and delicious My first time trying hell steaming, very satisfied Hell tour and hell steaming Next time I want to relax in a hot spring.
