Today, we plan to visit the new monorail village that was newly opened after 57 years . In addition to the monorail village, the attraction visited at the end of the video is a unique place that is visited by many foreign tourists even though it is not in Seoul . We came to Seoul Station early in the morning to enjoy a day trip walking trip that can be easily visited by train and bus. Then, shall we take the train and go to today’s destination? [Music] We took the train and arrived at Busan Station after about 2 hours and 40 minutes. To get to the first destination of this walking trip, we need to take a bus. You can take bus number 190 from the Choryang bus stop right in front of Busan Station . Thank you. While riding the bus, I looked out the window, and it was all hazy outside. Unlike Seoul, Busan is close to the sea and mountains, so it is said that sea fog often occurs like this. Isn’t it amazing? After a while, the sea fog that had been filling the city center gradually disappeared, and the beautiful village scenery that had been filling it came into view. This village is the first destination of this walking trip. Then, shall we get off? I got on bus number 190 from Busan Station and got off at Gongdaesin Station after about 15 minutes . From here, I just walked in the opposite direction of the bus for 2 minutes. Following this, the beautiful scenery of the village that I had seen from the bus started to come into view closer . This is the Dakbatgol Happy Village, newly created in 2010 by artist Guno, volunteers, and residents. It is said that this place was called Dakbae because there were many zelkova trees, the material for Hanji, here since ancient times . It is said that it took on its current appearance when refugees who lost their homes in the Busan Station Great War right after the Korean War in 1953 began living on the hillside . The scenery of the newly built high-rise apartments and the old old residential area is really beautiful. However, there is another famous attraction in Dakbatgol. If you go a little bit behind the observatory, you can see that famous attraction. Let’s take a look. Following this, I noticed a unique monorail installed along the high stairs . This is the Somang Staircase Monorail located at the foot of Eomgwangsan Mountain. This monorail is the first suspended monorail in Korea. It was built for residents who have difficulty climbing the steep stairs of 192 steps . So, shall we take a ride? Since the road is narrow, the monorail is small. It is big enough for two adults. So, shall we go up to the top floor? A suspended monorail is a monorail where the vehicle hangs under the track . Although it was small, it was really interesting to ride a monorail in Busan that you can only see abroad . It moves very slowly, so it was great to enjoy the scenery outside. Now that we have reached the third floor, shall we get off? There is another monorail at the top. Let’s go up to the very top. The winding alley, the steep uphill road, and the old scenery of the houses gathered together are really beautiful. When you go up to the very top, you will see the road like this. The view of Dakbakgol from the top is also really beautiful. The appearance of the houses in the middle of the stairs had the same old alley scenery . Now that we have finished looking around the Wish Stairs, shall we go deeper into Dakbakgol? Go down the stairs of hope and go down, and you will find the Takbakgol Mural Village. Let’s go down. For your information, there is an elevator to the left of the observatory that allows you to go down without stairs. There are murals painted inside the alley that brighten up the quiet alley . As expected from a village where many zelkova trees grew, the process of making hanji is also recorded. There was also a space that recorded the appearance of Dakbakgol in the past. The scenery of the cute alley is very pretty, different from when you look down from the observatory . So far, we have looked around the Dakbakgol Happy Village that has preserved its old scenery. To go to the next destination, you have to leave the village and take a bus on the main road . Let’s take a look. Go down for about 10 minutes from the Dakbakgol elevator . Then, you will come across a large road like this, and you can cross the overpass here. I took bus number 67 from Dongsin Elementary School’s waiting room and went back to Busan Station. Thank you. Thank you. After that, you can transfer to bus number 111 at Busan Station . After riding the bus for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, I got off at Yonggungsa National Institute of Fisheries Science. From here, I walked to the right along the road for about 10 minutes. As I passed the shopping street, statues of Shibijisin guarding the entrance welcomed me . There is also a large stone pagoda inside. Should I go further inside? As I went down past the secret cave, a beautiful temple and the vast Busan seascape unfolded before my eyes. This is Haedong Yonggungsa, one of the three major Guanyin sacred sites in Korea. Yonggongsa was newly built in Gijang-gun, Busan in the 1970s. The unique feature of Yonggongsa is that it is surrounded by vast seas and magnificent rock formations that are hard to find in other temples. The scenery is so beautiful that it is hard to believe that this is a temple. Should I go deeper into Yonggongsa? There is also a pond next to the bridge where you can throw coins to tell your fortune. The most surprising thing about touring Yonggongsa was that there were more foreign tourists than I thought . Even though it is far from the city center of Busan, not Seoul, I was surprised that half of the visitors were foreigners. On the one hand, the scenery was so beautiful even to me as a Korean, but I understood how exotic it would be to a foreigner. Inside the temple, there are many things to see, including the Daeungjeon. [Music] If you go up a little along the stone path in front, there is another viewpoint at Yonggongsa . Should we go? [Music] As I went up, I saw a huge seawater Avalokitesvara statue that looked to be about 10m tall . The seawater Avalokitesvara statue is smiling while looking at the vast ocean in front of it. When you look at the scenery from here, you immediately understand why it is called Miseo. The view of Yonggungsa Temple and the sea in front of Busan from here is also so beautiful. Then, after looking around, should we go back down to the bottom of the temple? There were many other things to see at the bottom of the temple as well. As written on the stone, I hope that the viewers who are enjoying the Yonggongsa walking tour like me will always stay healthy and achieve one of their wishes this year . This Busan walking tour ends with a visit to Haedong Yonggongsa. When you go back home, take bus number 11 again from the stop opposite the Yonggongsa National Institute of Fisheries Science where you got off earlier. Then, take the KTX again to Acha at Busan Station and go back home. This weekend, go on a walking trip to Busan with your beloved family to the Dakbatgol Haengbokmang , which was newly opened after 57 years when refugees gathered during the Korean War, and to Haedong Yonggongsa, which has beautiful coastal scenery that you can easily reach by bus. How is it? It’s been a walking journey so far. [Music]

Looks like I missed some parts of Haedong Yonggungsa temple complex. I will have to visit again 😊.
Can uou do a video on Busan Mandeokdong area? Curious to know if there are any hidden gems I didn't found out yet.
