It’s early morning at Hakata Station. Some of JR Kyushu’s tickets have finally become ticketless. It’s convenient. This time, we’re taking the “Limited Express HUIS TEN BOSCH” to Saga and Nagasaki for a two-day, one-night trip. Last time, we showed you a tour of the theme park “HUIS TEN BOSCH,” but this video is a compilation of the two days from the day before. The orange train is cute. This is an advertisement for the ticketless system we used earlier. The weather forecast says it’s going to rain in Nagasaki. We won’t go to the last stop, Huis Ten Bosch Station. We’ll get off at Saga Station to make a detour on the way. As soon as we left the ticket gate, we saw Lily and Ai from “Zombie Land Saga”! (We’re looking forward to the movie version being released in October.) I feel like Saga Station has become more and more fashionable over the past two years. We walk a little from Saga Station and transfer to a car sharing service. It’s cloudy. At this point, the rainy season has not yet ended in northern Kyushu. It’s a hassle when it rains while you’re traveling, but it’s also a problem when the sun is too strong on a clear day. So I hope they keep the cloudy sky. The “Limited Express Midori” and “Limited Express HUIS TEN BOSCH” passed by! (This train splits into “Midori” and “HUIS TEN BOSCH” at Haiki Station.) We arrived at a restaurant I had checked before the trip. It seems to be thriving. It’s a charcoal grill restaurant. Chicken dishes such as “YakitoriJu” and “OyakoJu” seem to be popular. There are plenty of eel dishes on the menu. It’s rare. (It says “We don’t have enough rice, so we can’t give you extra rice. Sorry.”) It’s tough. 😣 My wife chose the No. 3 popular “YakitoriJu”. It’s a tiered box instead of a bowl. It’s nice. I’ll eat the No. 1 popular “OyakoJu”. The runny egg is irresistible! Both “YakitoriJu” and “OyakoJu” use “Aritadori”, a famous chicken meat from Saga Prefecture. It has a plump texture and is delicious. It is a charcoal grill restaurant, so the seasoning is fragrant. It is no wonder that it is a popular restaurant. It was a perfect restaurant for lunch. The weather is holding up somehow. Our next destination is also near “Sumimaru”. It is located along the Takeo Bypass. It is a facility on the Honda premises that includes a park, a cafe, and a reservoir for use in the event of a heavy rain disaster. “asobiba” was closed, but I stopped by after hearing that the cafe was open. The cafe is a famous Fukuoka restaurant that was also introduced in the previously released “Top 10 Tenjin Cafes” video. “TAGSTÅ”, a famous restaurant in Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, which has several affiliated stores, is the first to bear the same “TAGSTÅ” name as its sister store. Like “TAGSTÅ” in Fukuoka, there is a wide lineup of espresso, soda, chai, frozen drinks, baked goods, etc. “TAGSTÅ” in Haruyoshi is not small, but Takeo’s store is simply spacious. Behind the Takeo bypass, a peaceful rural landscape spreads out. In the humid season, you will want to drink iced coffee. It is also nice to be able to take a coffee break in a spacious cafe during a drive. The store also doubles as a business meeting space for Honda, so if you just want to relax and use the cafe, it may be better to come on a closed day of “asobiba”. The windshield is dirty throughout this video. Sorry. Once you pass Arita, the town of porcelain, you will be in Nagasaki Prefecture. We entered Sasebo City. It is a landscape of floating islands, typical of Nagasaki Prefecture. ETC cannot be used on the “Saikai-Pearl-Line” heading from Sasebo City to Saikai-city. Attention! If you pass by the currently closed “Nagasaki Holland Village”, you will arrive at a popular spot that opened in 1980, which is older than “Nagasaki Holland Village”. This zoo is attractive for its “live exhibits” where you can get up close and personal with animals. I wore a shirt with an animal pattern because I was going to the zoo, but I never expected to see the same parakeet at the entrance… This time, We arrived late, so We only entered “PAW (Pet Animal World)”. Pet animals such as dogs, cats, and rabbits live here. First of all, the cats. They have fluffy fur. There are four dogs. Apparently the dogs don’t get attached to visitors very much. (That’s also cute.) The rabbits and guinea pigs live in the same area. While my wife interacts with the rabbits, I am being pursued by the goats. Some animals are outside. This is the goat that chased me earlier. I heard that it likes to be brushed, so I’m trying it timidly. It seems that this goat also likes to eat. There are many other small animals, reptiles, and birds at PAW, so people who don’t have a chance to touch animals on a daily basis can enjoy themselves for a long time. We were also able to touch a snake. (My husband and I are not afraid of reptiles.) Its tongue was sticking out. It was almost time to close. You can see the “guinea pigs leaving work”, a specialty of PAW that is often talked about on social media. So cute… This video shows the guinea pigs coming towards you. There are a few guinea pigs who are scared. Please support them from a distance so as not to scare them. Small guinea pigs and guinea pigs that cannot cross a long bridge also leave work in a different place. I was worried that I would have nothing to do after paying for two hours, but my worries were unnecessary. I was able to touch the animals to my heart’s content until the zoo closed. We will come again. We came to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Nagasaki Prefecture to fulfill both my desire to “eat something quick” and my desire to “eat local food in Nagasaki Prefecture”. The conveyor belt sushi system is different depending on the store, so it’s confusing. But that’s also the best part of traveling. All the sushi is delicious! Battera Pressed Sushi is also delicious. They even have homemade desserts. (And the Japanese sweets are very delicious.) It seems they have a branch in Fukuoka Prefecture too. By the time we arrived at the hotel, it was raining quite heavily. This is the official hotel of HUIS TEN BOSCH, with a stylish yellow design. We’re staying the night before going to HUIS TEN BOSCH tomorrow. Guests can enter the hot springs for free, but we gave up this time because it’s a bit far away. There is an amenity bar and a convenience store. We are staying in Building A, which is close to the lobby. It is a “superior type” room with an area of 28 square meters. The bath, toilet, and sink are separated like this. The pajamas are separate top and bottom. Let’s go to bed early tonight to enjoy “miffy wonder square” with early park in. Good night. I’m happy. We ended our trip with dinner at “Drive-in Tori”, which opened in the headquarters building of “Cygames”. We learned about “Drive-in Tori” through “Zombie Land Saga”. It is now my husband and I’s favorite restaurant. (They also have branches in Itoshima and Imari.) The Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen has been partially opened from Fukuoka Prefecture to Saga Prefecture and Nagasaki Prefecture.
