Disneyland Paris Mega Construction Update | July ’25
Construction projects all around Disneyland
Paris continue moving and evolving, today we’ll go around the resort with photos
and videos from all major projects happening in the Disneyland Park with Space Mountain,
Adventure Isle and some other updates, Disney Village with its major makeover and additions and
of course end the tour by taking a look into the biggest expansion the Parisian parks have ever
seen in the shape of Disney Adventure World, focusing on what’s been done on the existing side
of the park and then Adventure Way, the Adventure Bay lake with surrounding areas, World of Frozen,
that’s looking both absolutely stunning and one could even say very very close to complete and
some interesting updates in the Lion King area. Let’s start in the Disneyland Park.
Right as you pass through the gates, construction walls could be spotted on Main
Street USA in our last couple of construction updates both in January and in May, however
since then both projects happening here have come to an end. The first was Boardwalk Candy
Palace, which we already explored back in May, however the second is the Casey’s Corner
Terrace. This now infamous project, because of just how long it took to come to an
end, was the first phase of the weatherproofing projects to happen around the resort, adding more
comfort to guests in inclement weather. Well, the terrace looks very beautiful and in tune with
the rest of the land it’s in, it’s completely made out of resin and not wood which serves an
important role in the longevity of the structure. It has countless nods to baseball and truly works
very well together with Casey’s. On the other side of Central Plaza we come to a large set of walls
on a project that too is finally coming to an end very soon, this being the Royal Castle Stage. A
complete renovation of the underutilized outdoor theatre has been taking place and as you can
see only the final touches are yet to be added, the stage itself saw a lot of works creating much
better backstage facilities for cast allowing more productions to be presented here in the future,
we can also clearly see that the more than 30 year old stone and theming was changed with brand
new one that looks great! Now that these works are coming to an end, I just hope a new show
can call this place home, while it’s a more seasonal theatre than others, it’s in a prime
location that can’t be copied by any other! Over in Frontierland the 6-month long
refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain ended last month and the iconic attraction reopened with
a few new bits of track, renovated effects and animatronics and a reinforced structure. The
Molly Brown unfortunately is still to follow suit as its refurbishment was extended, works
around the Rivers of the Far West are happening not only clearing many of the overgrown plants
but also with the addition of the new scenes announced last April. Over in Adventureland
most of Adventure Isle is still closed and behind walls as its renovation carries on, more
noticeable the suspension bridge is surrounded by scaffolding and the caves are walled off,
also announced last April was a new treasure hunt game all around Adventure Isle linking it to
the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! Close by, a large chunk of the Fantasyland roofs has
been redone, mostly on top of the Chalet de Marionette restaurant, they look absolutely
stunning and shiny! At the back of the land, the Fantasyland Train Station is surrounded by
walls and under refurbishment, the building below where Meet Mickey Mouse is hosted should also
see some renovations being done to the outside. Seeing this happen to the Fantasyland Station
gives me some hope that maybe it will reopen, and the railroad will have 3 stations running
daily once again, but that’s still to be seen. Let’s now move to our last stop here
in the Disneyland Park, Discoveryland, by far the land where the most works are currently
happening. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast has closed its doors for a multi-month refurbishment, lasting
until the end of the year. We can see that it’s now surrounded by walls as works have begun
inside and outside! The façade will receive quite a bit of work with a complete repainting and
the glorious neon lighting on the five towers and radars with will be completely redone to be even
more vibrant. The space cruisers will be equipped with newer technology with all astro blasters
being replaced over this period, the ride vehicles will also be repainted and equipped with new
dashboards, inside the ride itself lighting will be completely overhauled, seeing the replacement
of all spotlights and refurbishment of existing special lighting effects. Some of the targets will
also be replaced with new ones improving precision and performance, on top of all this countless
other technical and visual aspects of the ride will see a lot of work being done including
restoring several audio animatronic figures. This truly is a very large renovation taking
place in the next 6 months! To the right of Buzz is Space Mountain, now I did a full video talking
about what was announced for this spectacular icon of the park on its 30th anniversary however some
updates regarding its works can be seen. We knew that they were completely changing the lighting
package of the attraction, with crews working around and on top of the showbuilding, well these
continue at a steady pace and now equipment can be seen on the back side of the dome for what will
be the first major repainting of the dome since the 2005 refurbishment, so in 20 years! On the
top, one of the spikes had been removed and since returned shinier than ever, it now awaits the new
LED screens that replace the neon lights, the two larger spikes are ready to be removed and replaced
too. The new designs feature a platform on the lower circle. Disney said, “see you later this
summer to discover the results of the interstellar transformation”, so it shouldn’t be a lot longer
to see the glorious new lighting effects working! Over in Disney Village the multi-year long
transformation continues taking place, the Sports Bar is now getting its brand new
façade, this new larger restaurant is on track to open not so long from now, to the left
the works can be seen on the large open area, this that will have a large terrace and be
surrounded by screens with all kinds of live sports. Closer to the hotels, the new security
check point is nearly complete with just the final stages of construction still to happen, I just
want to say that after years of having those ugly green tents it’s amazing to see this investment
on bettering the guest experience. Unfortunately, the two days I was at Disneyland Paris the weather
did not allow for Panoramagique to take flight, however the amazing people over at DLPReport got
on the day after I left, providing some incredible views of the works happening around the resort.
Here we can see the new pathways and green areas that separate the security bubble and the hotel
area plus the new security building. Close by is the quite frankly huge new McDonald’s restaurant,
this 3-story tall structure has popped out of the ground at impressive speeds, now the path between
this and the old McDonald’s to its right is closed as construction happens, this new fast-food
restaurant is set to open early next year. On the other side of Village, Casa Giulia,
the new Italian restaurant also originally meant to open sometime in 2026 has finally broken
ground, right where Planet Hollywood once stood, a large crane now welcomes people into Village.
Right in front of it ground has also been broken on what will be yet another security check
point, this one will be directed at Disney Village and the Hotels rather than the parks like
the large already existing one, it’ll provide a faster access to this side of the resort, we saw a
first look back when the permits were filed thanks to DLP Works. This is also where the exit to the
train station and buses currently is and should be once works come to an end, the new barriers
separating Village and the non-Disney area look very nice and modern with greenery creating
a natural visual barrier. Several more phases will still take place once all this construction
comes to an end, next year the Cinemas should have their turn with a renovation to the outside but
that’s not yet officially announced by Disney. Well then, let’s now move to Walt Disney Studios
Park where the most exciting works the resort has seen in a long time are currently moving into
their final stages of development! First of all, the renovation of the ticketing booths and
surrounding buildings continue and should take a few more months, the temporary ones are
currently in use. Since our last update, the left side entrance has closed because World Premiere
has opened its doors, finally replacing Studio 1! Now, since this is a construction update,
I won’t focus on what’s already complete but I’m planning on making a full video dedicated to
just World Premiere and World Premiere Plaza with my personal experience and opinions regarding what
they nailed, what could be better and what doesn’t work. Make sure to subscribe as not to miss it
when the video is uploaded! Well then, passing through the Hollywood Boulevard and going into the
screen inside the Disney Theatre, we reach World Premiere Plaza where the maze of walls continues
to move around, revealing newly complete areas and hiding others, starting with the very nicely
made new Partner’s Statue area, complete with many flowers and a great mural in the back. To the
side of Worlds of Pixar, we find that many walls have been removed, we now see more green areas
with trees and plenty of bushes, the entrance to the Animagique Theatre now has the two rows
of lighting fixtures and all the new floorings. There is a small section behind walls where
one of two brand new merchandise locations is under construction, once complete they will
look like a smaller version of Studio 1, and I find them quite fun! These small stores will
provide some very much needed shopping space to this side of the park and will be in a similar
fashion to the small Avengers Campus store, in terms of size and concept. The second of
these is being built to the right side of World Premiere and will look similar to the
other one. Here, in the old Place des Stars, a good portion of the floors have been redone,
with bright tiles that we’ve seen before in the concept art released more than a year ago, a
lot of the space here is currently still under construction seeing more of the tiles being added
alongside new green planters and streetlights, once this side is complete they should then
move to complete the rest of Place des Stars, which will increase the green areas. Not far from
here is Tower of Terror whose queue is undergoing a very much needed weatherproofing project,
the second of its kind after Casey’s Terrace, we can see that some of the theming elements have
been protected, and the site has been cleared as construction commences. To the other side of
Tower of Terror is its old FastPass location that is being transformed into yet another small shop,
themed to the Hollywood Tower Hotel and Hollywood, the roof of the old structure has been
removed, and workers carry on the renovation. We’ve now reached the expansion portion of
the video. All around the park you have very different vantage points and see distinctive
areas, structures, buildings, themed elements and others. Starting from the Partners Statue
we get a straight shot into World of Frozen, passing by Adventure Way and Adventure Bay, it’s
quite the spectacular view. Let’s begin in the areas closer to us with the promenade leading to
the lake, here we see the two large art nouveau structures on each side of the street that mark
the beginning of Adventure Way and its gardens, they’re currently behind scaffolding as teams
put the final touches. Adorning the sides of the street are many streetlights, similar
yet different to the ones found in World Premiere Plaza, these have the main bulb and
several small popcorn lights creating a design, it’ll look incredible at night. To the right is
the new area and entrance into Toy Story Playland, here the pathway has been created, all the
large Christmas lights put in place and much of the greenery planted with more yet to come,
it looks very good from both on top and on the ground. On the left side is Gazebo Garden
which is looking almost complete. The gazebo itself looks great with a blue roof, all the
trees, paths and lights have been put in place, many of the railings are being installed
as well, which is something you’ll notice all around the expansion. These images here
show more of a ground view of what the Gazebo Garden area will look like, with the walls
surrounding it and the English streetlamps. From many places around the park you can see the
Raiponce Tangled Spin building, in this case from Avengers Campus, it’s taller than you’d expect.
This building is now receiving its final details and bits of theming, here we can see the purple
tiled roof being added to the top of the central tower, this that has some very nice stained-glass
windows with the Sundrop flower of Corona from the Tangled film. The lower roofs have received
extra layers of theming and more is being added, alongside the aging of the blue slabs much like
what we’ve seen happen in other structures around the lake. Around the Tangled gardens, the
purple lights have been installed, and the pond should start being filled soon. In front
of it, more trees and greenery has been added, all the floors completed and many of the railings
put in place, giving us a better idea of how it’ll look like when done! The West Pavillion can also
be spotted from various angles around the park, it’s in the final stages with most
of it complete or nearing completion, the last stage appears to be the show control
room on top that is now getting its own theming. The Alice in Wonderland show gives us some
good views of a few of the structures here, not as good as last year because a tall berm
now hides what is a huge theatre from the lake, this large berm will be expanded with the
Lion King but for now it’ll act as a natural barrier between Adventure Way and the Theatre
of the Stars. Here we can continue inspecting the West Pavillion, this that looks rather bland
from this side seeing it won’t really be on the nose of guests once construction comes to an end,
we can see that the building will also be adorned with the same popcorn lights, these that will
be on most buildings in this side of the park, working kind of like Main Street
USA at night, it’ll look very good. The Regal View Restaurant carries on with a lot
more theming elements being added to its façades, be that by painting or actual physical elements
adorning the whole structure. We can get a closer look at these from the Cars Road Trip area. Golden
spikes, aging and depth via painting methods, patterns on the walls and others are just some
of the few that will decorate this very large restaurant once it opens, still to be done are
the larger tower tops, once again notice the popcorn lights all throughout. Since we’re already
here, the toilet block on this side has received a lot of its theming too, I really like the colors
being used here, these greens and blue will look fabulous when combined with the purples and pinks
on the roofs. From Alice we can have a closer look at the other side of Regal View, where its large
glass windows overlooking the lake can be spotted, notice how there’s still a large part of the
decorations still to be put in place here. Because of the large trees blocking our view we
can’t really have a good look at what’s happening around the lake, but in between we spot the
East Pavillion and one of the two large awnings, closer to Frozen the two small towers from
the Adventure Bay side of the rotating bridge, many of the themed show technical equipment
towers with spotlights on top of them, incredible streetlights and even the Arendelle lighthouse
with an incredible tree filled backdrop! All around the lake, greenery is being added to
the areas between pathways, these that as closer they get to the shore, smaller they must be as
to not get between the crowds and the nighttime spectacular, so tall grass, small bushes and
trees are being planted. Behind the second, now complete awning, which looks very good, is a
tree filled berm, this that will hide backstage and even the park berm behind it. We can also
clearly see all the trees on top of that park berm that will close any gaps that might exist
and hide the buildings behind it. Look at all the paths around Adventure Way and Bay, most of the
railings and lights are now in place, and I didn’t know how excited I’d be because of railings but
this means that works are truly coming to an end. Well, we’ve now reached Frozen. Since our last
update, the mountain range is finally complete, there are no more sections being created, themed
or painted, this is how it’ll look like when it opens. All around the park the peak of North
Mountain can be seen, and it looks spectacular, now missing from this is the Ice Castle which is
set to be installed in the coming weeks. All the Arendelle houses are done and themed and the clock
tower now has the little Elsa and Anna figures, to the left we can see a wall that separates the
berm and the Village, this will have a small food or merchandise location, trees and lights are
all in place inside Arendelle too, scaffolding is in place behind the entrance to the queue
and that’s the only place where it can be seen within the village. DLPReport’s photos give us a
different point of view of this whole side, where we see that the frozen fountain is now in place
but also how all the paths around the lake look. Of course, we couldn’t end without having a look
over on what’s happening with future projects, first of all the area for the UP ride has been
cleared as works are set to begin soon, in fact just today DLP Works reported that the permit has
been approved, allowing said works to commence. Over in The Lion King land continues to move as it
gets ready to start its own works later this year, the ground has been cleared, the installation
of technical infrastructure underneath has been taking place and soon we should see the teams
currently working on everything else in the park shift their focus to what promises to be
one of Disneyland Paris’ most incredible ride experiences! This truly is an exciting time as
we see all the last pieces of the puzzle come together, by this time next year many people will
have entered and explored this brand new expansion and as things start to happen at a faster pace
in these later stages of development, I’m here to cover it all. With that, what do you think about
the current state of construction of all these projects? Let me know down below! And now, as
always, thank you for watching and That’s a Wrap!

Great update.
Glad to see that Disneyland Paris is getting the help it so desperately needed.
First time I visited back in March 2025 and I was appalled to see how Disney would allow one of their branded resort properties and parks feel so dirty, old, and let go.
Space Mountain in particular was in such a sad shape.
Hopefully all of these refurbs will bring the property back to Disney quality standards.
I thought I heard that a new ride room was coming to Buzz Lightyear too
Why mister garrison
do the voice over???
10:31 I love that they included the Cinemagique music in the bgm i dont like the rest of the music but that part is so good !
Also i was some weeks ago in the park and the exitement for Frozen is big a lot of families were talking about it a first i think this happend in DLP!
I cannot wait till the ice palace goes in!!
Lots of construction. I wonder what they do with the walls afterwards?
Not really worth going to this park until all or most of the construction has finished. But that’s just me. But as I moved to live in the Philippines then it’s the 3Asian parks for me. Still it’s fun to watch these videos.
Thanks! Just visited DLP and you answered a lot of questions for me, especially Village questions.
Amazing video! great update.. i was wondering.. can't you see all the buildings from the ground? 18:45?
I can’t believe they’re still charging the same amount of money when attractions and certain areas are closed/off limits for refurbishment.
Also, It’s disappointing to pay for a holiday and then learn only a month or 2 before hand that some rides/amusements will be closed during your stay
Thanks for the update! So many new things 😊 What are the buildings behind Frozen? Are these offices?
Wow, that new McDoanlds grew very quickly.
I’m surprised it’s taking so long for the security checkpoints to be installed. You would have thought they would be pre-assembled and dropped in place. It just seems that some works take forever where others are super quick.
Like it’s taken them longer to get where they are with those Security checkpoints but yet the McDonalds carcass is pretty much done.
Why s anyone going to Disney Paris when a lot of it is shut off and like a building site- it must be very disappointing fir 1st time visitors
Interesting that Wall-E is on the mural. Considering everything else on there has a ride or show of some kind either being built or already exists…. Except Wall-E.
16:20 these roof railings look a bit inspired from those adorning the rooves of the Cathedral of Rheims ; I can see the inspiration there
The best thing about the Tower of Terror construction is honestly just that they're committing to the theme for at least another 5-10 years
Im happy to see that Disney is working so hard again to update both parks!
So anyone have any idea of when it will be opened?
I'm planning my third visit to Disney in September 2026. Do you think all the refurbishments, updates, and new areas will be completed by then? Regards,
