日本最大級!三重の山間に佇む「VISON」でアンティーク散策|VISON蚤の市

Hello, this is YOLO LOG. Today, we’re heading to Mie Prefecture in the morning. It’s the rainy season, and it’s been raining continuously, but… After driving for about two hours from Osaka, we arrived at today’s destination, “VISON”! VISON is a commercial resort facility located in Takigawa Town, Mie Prefecture. The site covers an area equivalent to approximately 24 Tokyo Domes. The facility features a variety of stores related to food and health, as well as a hotel. As far as the eye can see, there are countless stores! Everywhere you look, there are temptations. I came all the way here today because I wanted to visit VISON. To the “VISON Flea Market” held at the VISON EVENT DOME. I heard about this event from the exhibitors at the “Nara Flea Market” I visited in my previous video. I thought, “I have to go!” and was really looking forward to it. Let’s take a look around! 🕊️ There were also shops lined up in front of the dome, which is the event venue, so let’s start there. An artist repairing antique pottery and tableware with kintsugi Even a small crack can become a pattern depending on how it is repaired, which is interesting The unique technique of kintsugi is a wonderful tradition that never fails to impress me It’s also cute when there’s just a little bit of gold added as an accent. It goes very well with French antiques and is beautiful. I also found the booth of “Atelier momo,” who told me about this event! Just like when I met them last time, it was still a space that antique lovers couldn’t resist. A quilt from Tunisia that feels handcrafted. Is it alpaca? Since it’s handmade, the sizes vary, but the texture is very nice. I was really torn about whether to buy it for the office entrance… It has a stripe pattern reminiscent of a zebra. These earrings are made from the scales of the pirarucu fish. The irregular shapes are what make them special. It’s a silver product called “Karen Silver” made by the Karen tribe in Thailand, which has a high silver purity. Each piece has its own unique character, making it fun to choose. French antiques are still popular items today. Even on a cloudy day, they bring a cheerful brightness. 🌼 While browsing, thinking, “I’d like to have one someday…” I bought it because it was cheap since it didn’t have a lid. Fèves that you can’t help but collect. I often see dolls and stuffed animals too. I wonder if they’ve been played with a lot. This is different from a doll, but it’s a “smoking doll.” It’s a cute doll that burns incense inside and emits smoke from its mouth. The warmth that comes from the wood and handmade feel makes it a beloved item. I found a really nice cookie tin…! Apparently, the cookies are made using ingredients sourced locally. Gluten-free, egg-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free—it’s good for your body too. The beautiful illustrations on the packaging are apparently drawn by the shop owner…! The design alone gets you excited before you even open the box. Above all, the shop owner’s hospitality and skillful conversation were so captivating that I couldn’t help but listen intently. I welcomed two types of cookie tins: seasonal limited edition and regular. 🌱 Finally, we entered the dome where the event was held. There were many shops lined up here as well. Antique buttons always feel like a treasure hunt At a flea market, one of the joys is listening to the shop owners’ stories Hearing the background of an item makes you grow even more attached to it, doesn’t it? A brain-measuring tape—what a surreal idea… Once you pull it out, it’s nearly impossible to put it back in! 😆 I found some super retro Disney goods. They’re from the 1960s, so they’re rare items now, right? There’s something charming about the slightly suspicious vibe. Haha Beautifully blooming, cute hydrangeas Even at the flea market, you can feel the seasons everywhere It’s time to leave the flea market and enjoy VISON. A long escalator installed outdoors. VISON is visible from here, and the view is quite nice. I’m hungry, so I’ll take a break at this café. “Cafe Tomiyama” has pleasant music and beautiful antique furniture. I had lunch here. I ordered the “Creamy Cafe Tomiyama Original Curry.” It was packed with vegetables, and the mild, creamy sauce was delicious! For dessert, I had the luxurious azuki bean bar from “Confectionery Shop Imuraya.” Azuki beans, matcha, and chestnuts—a perfect combination! 🌰 Before I knew it, it had grown completely dark. As I gazed at the night scenery woven by the mountain sunset and VISON, it was time to head home. After returning home, I enjoyed tea time with cookies from “inconeri.” The “Tsuyune Cookie Can” has a wonderful aroma the moment you open it. Each cookie is carefully crafted with great care. The teardrop-shaped “Fennel and Honey Raindrop Cookies” The moment you put them in your mouth, the aroma of fennel gently fills your senses—a particular favorite. Inconeri’s recommendations are packed into the “Daily Cookie Can.” The simple flavor that easily enters the body is so delicious that you can’t help but reach for it. Both were very delicious.
