【浅草・女ひとり旅】和の彩りと江戸の温もりに包まれて|展望テラスでほっと一息|心ほどける癒し旅
I’ve arrived at Senso-ji Temple. The iconic Kaminarimon Gate stands tall. Welcoming countless visitors again today. Drawn in by the elegant Japanese-style packaging,
I decided to take a look. This hand cream is one of their most popular items. The packaging features
designs for all 365 days of the year! You can choose one for your birthday
or a special date for someone you love. It would make a lovely gift. Retro and elegant—so charming ✨ My favorite scents: fragrant osmanthus and cherry blossoms. I found a scented charm! There was even one with the scent of tea. Perfect for this season—a cool, refreshing design. The moment I caught a whiff… I fell in love at first sniff 💕 As I walked along Nakamise Street, the many smiling faces naturally lifted my spirits. At the end of the bustling street,
I caught sight of the Tokyo Skytree. I arrived at Asakusa Kokonoe, a famous shop for age-manju. Today, I decided to try something a little different. It’s my first time trying the sakura flavor—I’m a little excited. It’s still warm and freshly made. A sweet bun filled with cherry blossom bean paste,
gently wrapped in a cherry leaf. 🌿 I can taste a subtle hint of saltiness. Such a gentle flavor—it reminds me of spring. On the way to the main hall,
I came across the magnificent Hozomon Gate. The hanging lanterns from the Uogashi Group
give off a solemn, sacred atmosphere. I decided to draw an omikuji fortune slip. For some reason, the sound of shaking the box always makes me nervous. I got “Daikichi”—the best luck! 😊✨ The kind words I received made my heart feel lighter. The five-storied pagoda and main hall glowing under the summer blue sky. Just looking at them brings a sense of calm. I noticed a beautiful painting on the ceiling of the main hall… Even in places like this,
the beauty of Sensoji Temple is alive—it truly moved me. I discovered a dango shop tucked away in a back alley. It’s called “Asakusa Yohei.” They specialize in dango and deep-fried rice cakes. I decided to try the soy sauce-glazed dango. Warm, soft, and wonderfully chewy. 🍡 The savory aroma of soy sauce filled the air—absolutely delicious! As I wandered the backstreets,
a charming building caught my eye. This is the “Asakusa Taisho Roman Hall.” A popular spot where you can enjoy kimono rentals and a retro-style cafe. Its adorable exterior gave me a sense of calm and comfort. I’m having lunch at “Edo Cuisine Sakurada” along Kaminarimon Street. The calm interior makes time feel like it’s moving slowly. With an irori hearth and vintage furniture,
the space is filled with nostalgic charm. Rice cooked slowly and carefully in a clay pot. Sukiyaki lunch — 2,000 yen (tax included). The rice is “Kenjo-mai,”
a premium variety served to royalty—delicious in every bite. The sweet and savory flavor gently fills my body. I whisk the egg… Then dip the tender beef in it gently… The richness of the egg brings a sense of comfort with every bite. To finish, I pour the remaining egg over the rice… A luxurious sukiyaki tamago-kake gohan 😊 I finished every single grain of rice with satisfaction. 🍚 The flavor left a lasting impression—it truly moved me. ✨ These days, I sometimes see women pulling rickshaws too. I arrived at the Sumida River riverside. In front of me, the Tokyo Skytree reaches up into the sky. The golden flame of Asahi Beer is also gleaming in the view. Clear skies and the sparkling river flow… This extraordinary view had me completely captivated. Denboin Street, lined with wooden signs, is full of old-town charm. Just strolling here brings a sense of peace. Lively and bustling Hoppy Street. The unfamiliar atmosphere made me feel a little shy as I walked through. February Kitchen—famous for its delicious sweets. The warm wooden interior feels cozy and relaxing. Today’s treat: their signature dessert,
Rich Crème Caramel with Burnt Caramel Sauce – 700 yen. Jiggly and shiny on the surface. A firm retro-style custard, full of rich egg flavor. The vintage silver dish added to the charm. I took my time and enjoyed a peaceful moment. Across from Kaminarimon is the Asakusa Culture and Tourist Center. The rooftop terrace on the top floor is free to enter. A hidden gem offering a panoramic view of Asakusa. I soaked in the view, reflecting on the day’s journey. Thank you so much for watching until the end. I hope to see you again on my next journey. ✨
