【湯野浜温泉】1泊2食8150円！蟹1杯付きの温泉民宿【新潟・山形ロングドライブPart4】
Niigata/Yamagata Long Drive Part 4 Day 4 of our 7-day, 6-night trip to Niigata/Yamagata. We ate chicken giblet ramen in Shinjo, then headed to Tsuruoka. Today’s destination is Yunohama Onsen. It has a long history, dating back to the Tenki era (1053-1058). It comes from a legend that a turtle was healing its wounds in the hot springs by the sea . It is known as one of the leading resort areas in Yamagata Prefecture. We made a slight detour to Tozawa Roadside Station in Tozawa Village, Mogami County, Yamagata Prefecture. This clearly unique roadside station apparently recreates Korean history and culture. Why Korea? Thinking about it, I looked into it and found that in 1985, agricultural technology exchange began between Tozawa village and Korea, and as a result, international marriages began and many Korean women moved there. There is also a restaurant, but today it is closed and there are many Korean products on offer. I bought some cold noodles as a souvenir. It was an unusual and interesting roadside station. I continued driving to the next roadside station, “Roadside Station Shonai Windmill Market” in Shonai Town, Higashitagawa District, Yamagata Prefecture. This is a typical roadside station. I bought some ramen as a souvenir. I continued on for 25km to “Onsen Minshuku Shirahama-ya” in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture. I arrived a little early but was kindly let into my room, Room 9 on the second floor . It is a beautiful Japanese-style room . It is not large but is enough for one person. There is a kettle and remote controls on the table. Today it is air-conditioned! The TV is small, there are hangers here, unfortunately there is no ocean view, the yukata is in the hallway, the refrigerator is shared, the water flows directly from the source, the spring quality is calcium and sodium chloride, the water does not cool down easily, and it is also called wound bath because of the bactericidal effect of salt, after that it is time to relax in the room, dinner time I couldn’t help but exclaim, it ‘s so luxurious, first of all the sashimi is fresh and delicious, next is pork shabu shabu, it’s about time, it’s soft! The fat is sweet , the green onions are crunchy, the grilled fish is flounder, it goes great with white rice, the fried shrimp looks satisfying, crispy and delicious! The main dish is red snow crab, which has been branded as “Tengi no Benikani” from this year, there is a guide on how to prepare the crab posted on the wall, first remove the shell , split the body in two, remove the gills, etc., separate the body and legs, the finished product is rich and delicious! After struggling with the crab for several minutes, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Ah, it ‘s so delicious… This is it. The crab bowl is complete. The crab leg meat is delicious on its own, but adding miso gives it an indescribable taste. I ‘m so happy… Ah, it was delicious. I even had dessert. Thank you for the meal. After this, I took another bath and went to bed. The next morning , I went to the breakfast venue. Grilled salmon, natto, hijiki… I was full from the morning and my appetite was stimulated.
