It is located in the Nojiri Area of Yamato Town, Kamimashiki District. In 2015, two of the many waterfalls in Yamato Town, Hijiri Falls and Goroga Falls, were designated as national scenic spots. The waterfall has a drop of 31.1m and a width of 9.5m, and branches into two at its base. On the left side is a straight waterfall that falls vertically, while on the right side it has a unique shape as it splits into two stages and changes direction halfway down. It is said that the waterfall got its name from the fact that the rocks halfway up the waterfall look like monks practicing their asceticism under the waterfall. The only unfortunate thing is that the distance between the observation deck and the waterfall is over 300 meters, which seems to be frustrating for tourists who want to get a closer look.
