we took 7 a.m. shinon from Osaka before we arrived to Hiroshima we had a delicious Ean on the board one bullet train and one regular train later we boarded a ferry from MIM maguchi to ared to a beautiful island of niima we roed around with local deers and visited famous floating tour Shrine before we ascended many many steps to be mesmerized by D Temple compet later we wered around Mando shopping street to try local Delicacies M Manju mayap Lea shaped sweets and my favorite oysters in the late afternoon we headed back to Hiroshima to explore peace Memorial Park before taking shanen back to Osaka we stopped by okonomi multi story Hiroshima style okonomiyaki complex it was absolutely delicious highly recommended day trip from Osa all the travs were included in jrbs
Osaka to Hiroshima & Miyajima in a Day! 🚄🏯🌊
We started our adventure bright and early, catching the 7 AM Shinkansen from Osaka, having breakfast Ekiben (train bento box) on board, changing in Hiroshima for a local train, and then hopping on a ferry from Miyajimaguchi to the breathtaking Miyajima Island (Itsukushima). ⛩️✨
We spent a magical morning exploring the island, soaking in the stunning views, and indulging in local delicacies (hello, Momiji manju! 🍁).
By afternoon, we headed back to Hiroshima and took a tourist bus to Peace Memorial Park, a place of deep reflection and history. Before wrapping up the day, we couldn’t leave without trying Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki at Okonomimura—and wow, it was worth it! 🤤🔥
By evening, we were back on the Shinkansen to Osaka, feeling grateful for such an unforgettable day! The best part? All our transport—bullet trains, local trains, ferry, and tourist bus—was covered under the JR Pass.
