🇰🇭 世界トップ15都市の一つ、シェムリアップ2025で暮らす
Okay, guys. Uh, welcome to the channel. So, I’m trying something a bit uh adventurous today. Maybe too adventurous. I’m a bit nervous. Uh, you can’t see it. The camera’s on a gimbal. Uh, had a lot of bad luck uh with cameras recently uh with cameras and gimbals. So, let’s see if this works, guys. But uh yeah, good morning from Cambodia. We are on the way to the gym and uh I’m on a country road here and I’m going to give you an update today on life in Cambodia in 2025. I just noticed that uh Sim was on the the Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice ranking 2025. it uh it got number 14 out of all the destinations in the world. So congratulations to uh Sim uh I think it was something like 8 million listings in that uh report. So kudos and um but why not number one is what I’m thinking. So I think the top three, number one was London. Uh Dubai was number three or number two. And there’s some interesting interesting additions such as Cusco and Peru. Uh and then the usual suspects like Bangkok. Um where else? I think Barcelona. So yeah, guys. So welcome to the channel. Uh welcome to Remarkable. We’re going to bring you uh and have been check out my videos, a lot of videos from around Southeast Asia and at the moment in Cambodia. So, if you’re thinking about traveling here, if you’re thinking about uh retiring here, if you’re thinking about working here, this is the place to be, guys. Uh you’ve you’ve tuned in to the right channel. Um so, check out my other videos. Today I’m going to be giving you uh some uh insights uh just some nuance also around that uh recent traveler’s choice uh listing uh just to give you some perspective on why I think yeah it’s a good ranking, why I think maybe it should be even higher on that list. So number 14 out of 8 million listings is is is a huge achievement. Uh so well done to the same rate. Uh there’s many good reasons. [Music] Uh and I’ll share some of those with you today, guys. So, um yeah, the uh just testing out the camera with a new um kind of new angles as well, guys. Uh I must say I’m a little bit nervous that the camera is going to uh is going to fall. I have it uh tied to a gimbal. Not tied, but I’m using a a pretty good gimbal. It’s pretty sturdy, but um I’ve had a number of instances where cameras have just randomly fallen off their uh their mounts. So, most recently, RIP, my first ever pocket tree, the whole thing just cracked. Uh I went over a pothole and it fell off the uh the mount. So, guys, yeah, welcome. If it’s your first time, uh please give me a like, subscribe, guys. Uh this is wonderful. Same rate at about uh 6:00 a.m. in the morning. Um this typical country uh kind of village road. I’m actually taking this road cuz it’s very smooth as you can see. And I’m not sure how my uh camera will hold up. Uh if I have a problem here, uh I think I’ll get away with a busted lens or something. That’s fine. But uh if I do this on the main road or the streets, I’m pretty screwed. So this area is just outside Seep guys. So it’s quite beautiful. Um over there is like a kind of nature hotel. Uh you get a lot of kind of uh wellness resorts. In this area is the Wake Park, the Zanier hotels. So up market hotels. Uh they also have the center the anchor which is like a workshop for local crafts and artisans. So guys, lots to see here. Uh I’ll take you on a tour around the town. It’s actually quite overcast today. Uh I’m going to switch it up uh cuz I’m not too confident this camera will make it. All right, guys. So, uh you’re back in first person view. uh what you’ve been used to for a lot of videos. So uh yeah, this is uh just outside side, guys. So this the main road to Batang Bang and then Batang Bang to um pretty much the border. So those big trucks, this road will have like lots of big trucks like that barreling down the road. So, it’s fine. Yeah. So, like I was saying, uh same wave guys, number 14. Um so, yeah, it’s a beautiful city, guys. It’s got anchor watch. Uh on the list was yeah, like I said, the usual kind of suspects. Um London number one and Paris. I think Paris, Dubai, like Barcelona, uh, Bangkok. So, all the usual suspects, all great cities, destinations. [Music] So, the phone is a bit tricky, guys. I’m judging. So, be careful. Uh, what I’m going to do, I’ll just, uh, give you guys a quick tour here of Seam. It’s about 7:00 a.m. Uh, no guys, it’s about 6:00 a.m., 6:30. Uh, I’m going to go to the gym. I was just testing out some of the camera angles there. uh looks pretty good, but uh I think the camera was shaking a lot. So, I’m also quite interested to see if the stabilization for DJI works there with a um yeah. So, guys, also I’ve tried out with the noise reduction on, noise reduction off. Uh, I actually like it with the noise reduction off, guys. It adds character. I’m here on the roads and there’s lots going on. So, I actually think it’s good to hear. Uh, it’s good to hear this. So, you get a sense the sights and the sounds of the city and see. So, there’s loads of kind of uh actually guys, I know a lot of you be interested in property. There’s lots of uh properties here. I’m going around the outskirts of the city. Uh there’s good guest houses by on modern residence. A lot of residence is just lying there though. Rain cafe guys. Looks good. So any ambassadors in the audience might be interesting for you. But uh yeah, check out the laws for uh property investing in Cambodia. You have to go to the proper proper avenues. Yeah, guys. So, um actually what I’ll do is uh I’ll bring you through a little market. Uh, I really want to use the other view of the camera, but uh I’m a bit scared the camera will fall off. So, as I get a bit more confident using the camera uh on the gimbal on that gimbal, uh let’s see. I’ll do it. Maybe um this is actually a use case where I like using the puppet trick. a DJI Pocket 3 that you can just on the gimbal you can switch around the view. Uh so pretty much you can flip the the camera around quickly. Uh when you’re using the the action uh probe, you got to like um do it manually. Uh it’s not so easy actually to do that unless you’re walking. I’m on the bike here guys and I’m not holding the camera in one hand or something. That would be ridiculous. But look at it here, guys. It’s very nice and open. Enjoying breakfast. Uh, getting hungry, actually, thinking about it. I’d like a nice omelette, guys. So, I’ll show you this market here. Um, typical local life here, guys. These dogs are mad. They’re in a world of their own. It looks like they’re having fun, though. They’re not aggressive, guys. I just get that freaked out at night time when I go down the top road and there’s like five dogs. So, you see lots of people getting like to fresh right there. [Applause] fresh vegetables. So people will go to like uh at businesses will come here like restaurants, hotels, get their you see the fresh bread guys. You get lots of like the fresh ingredients here. Whereas I never go down this way. I’ll go down this way. [Music] This is right off the beat. Nobody goes down here. We’re right behind the market, though. [Music] I’m hoping I can go to the main road. Yeah. So, I’ve just basically I’ve done a perimeter around one of the markets here, guys. Uh, it’s on my left. Um, I’ll go I’ll drive past it slowly so you can take a look. But, uh, yeah, come here in the morning, guys, and you get lots of fresh vegetables, fruit. Oh, it’s just here on the left. This road takes everyone to the lake, guys. There’s the tourists probably getting like if you want to get the floating village tours, that’s where everybody’s going at this time, guys. But there on the left is the is the market. Uh it’s there on the left there. So, you uh I’ve gone through that a couple of times in other videos, guys. So, uh check those on that. Uh here’s all the market area. Um, so there’s lots of stuff. I can smell the durian here, guys. It’s really uh beautiful smell. Um, there’s more durian uh units available, guys. There’s like apartments. All the properties that you see, um, a lot of these will be available as well for rent. So, if you’re interested, uh I recommend taking a look. So, quite overcast. I’m breathing in like plastic, burnt plastic or something. It’s not gas there. All right, guys. And this is uh PBU Rush. Guys, all the puppies dogs, guys. If you need a dog, that’s where you go. Don’t bring your dog with you. Just get a new one here, guys. That sounds very cool, actually. Don’t do that, guys. Bring your dog. Put it in first class on Emirates, guys. Send your dog in first class. I need you to fly economy. Um yeah, guys. So anyway, uh I’m just uh looking around. It’s a kind of quiet today. Usually in the morning there’s a lot of activity, but there’s uh nothing today or there’s not too much. Well, there is actually actually this city center here is quite busy. [Music] So, we’ll take a little uh drive around. Let’s see if the party is still going on street. I got it. So, it’ll be a quick one today, guys. Just uh more of a quick tour. But uh yeah, like I said, uh [Music] it’s uh on the list, guys. It’s made the list. top 14 in the world. Uh yeah, it’s a really great city to visit. Uh yeah, just picking up uh the morning here, guys. It’s a bit overcast. Uh probably not the best time, actually. I don’t know why, guys. It’s so uh Is it too early? Maybe it’s too early. Sorry, guys. It’s a oneway road. So, I have to go right and then left. So all these markets are setting up, these vendors are setting up like for business today. There’s like lots of fresh sausage. There’s coffee Amazon, guys. That’s really popular in Southeast Asia. There’s a really popular one, Coffee Club. I haven’t seen too much of that. It’s big in Thailand, Australia. So, the big coffee brands here, the chain stores are like Amazon, uh, Brown, but if you watch my videos, you know, like I’m a you know I like brand, but uh you know that I’m a fan of the local kind of uh coffee shops for many reasons. uh support the local economy, but also taste wise. Uh it’s usually the best better option. [Music] So this whole area here is what goes. There’s optitionians on the left. People are asking me about that. That looks really nice there, guys. I really wanted to look at that food on the right hand side, but uh going to Well, I’m driving and lose traffic, right? So, some people live in hostel and gas stations. way to the airport. There’s the airport bus, guys. You see, that’s the there’s the actual terminal there, guys. Actually, so that’s the uh actually that’s super important, guys. That’s the bus terminal, airport bus terminal. I I always just take a dip, guys, or taxi. But, uh that’s actually a good option there. Some people might be going to like pan a lot frequently and like get the bus. Uh yeah, I’m making trips guys, but um just thinking if I’m taking the bus [Music] or the uh plane. So, domestic Arab travel is uh actually a little bit more expensive than I thought. Like in um internally in Vietnam, it’s super cheap, like relatively cheap. Uh but yeah, it’s about 100 over 100 bucks one way to Ben. Uh it takes about an hour but you know yourself checking in through the through the airport going through all the written road. It’s probably about put an hour on each way. Uh that really confuses me guys when people indicate when they slow down but they’re going straight. So, uh, yeah, it’s like even though it’s an hour flight, you’re adding on, an hour there, two or three more hours, guys. And the bus is 6 hours, 5 6 hours. So, I’m inclined really to take the bus directly. And some of those buses, the vet express, um, they’ve got like uh they’re like business class or something. They’re really uh really good. Um so anyway guys, here is same rate on overcast uh monsoon morning. [Music] [Applause] And uh yeah guys, as you can see, I really think uh everybody with those SUVs has got some sort of superiority like this stage. Guys, that guy was not moving. That is like he was quite happy to uh to keep almost on this side of the road and keep like very almost within touching distance on this side. So they drive in the middle and uh it’s uh yeah anyway so the bus to pen uh it’s very good. Uh, I don’t recommend. Uh, I’ve heard some somebody told me that there was they know people that go there. They drive on the scooter, guys. That’s absolutely crazy. I mean, it’s it’s doable, but uh it’s uh very uh crazy, guys. The road itself is uh extremely I mean, you see it here, you pick up on what it’s like, but uh I wouldn’t fancy driving 5, six hours straight. about an hour here doing some of these videos is enough for me guys. So, uh yeah. Anyway guys, uh that bus service is pretty good. Goes to the airport. I have no idea how much it costs, but uh if you look at the economics of the bus, tipping on bank cost $15. So, uh no idea how much that bus costs to the new airport in Cape. But uh if it’s like Yeah. If it’s like um So somebody’s running for passes. Yeah. So, I don’t know what the bus cost to the airport there if it’s it should be very cheap, but uh yeah, I’d like to take the bus internally, guys. Uh I have flown that route a couple of times internally, but not same grip. Uh, I flew Cambodia Airways or Anchor. I’m not sure if Anchor still exists, but uh, that was interesting. But Air Asia a lot. They’re fine. I don’t think they have a loyalty program though, do they? Uh, now, especially when they’re moving over to this uh, roof concept. I’m not sure how that works. I’m really happy with crab. Grab have a loyalty program where I can even get like uh lounge access in certain airports in Southeast Asia as a premium member which I think is great. And that’s Grab, guys. [Music] I’m just going to check out some of these luggage things here, guys. So, how much is this one? Uh Nick, how much this one? 45. It’s 45. Okay. Okay. What uh brand or what? Uh not not it’s just But uh how long it last? Maybe 1 year, two year. Uh this one maybe uh one year and two year because I go maybe to travel throw in a bus. This one. Okay. How much is that one? 65. And this one’s 45. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I don’t buy today. I just ask the price. I come back. Yeah. Cuz I drive and I see your your store. 45 and 55. That’s your best price. Your best price. Uh, at least 40. 40. All right, guys. So, uh, yeah, I was talking to myself there. Great. I was just showing you. You didn’t see that, which is pity. Uh, I was in a just I was in a luggage store asking for the prices and I recommend this luggage store, guys. Uh, for cheap uh kind of cheap luggage. Um, I need something cheap to uh, guys. I’ve got like uh cases. I got rim of the cases. I got Timmy cases, but they’re all like in in a storage box. Um, yeah, they’re actually in a storage box in Bangkok. Uh this is why I’m really uh pissed off about this border closure because I I needed to get stuff and I don’t want to pay like all the big money for track just just for um yeah I wanted to get the bus to pick stuff up and uh my some some like speakers and stuff and uh I have stuff that I don’t need here. Uh I have like a lot of business clothes actually. I got some I use it for for meetings and business stuff, but uh some of it’s like it’s too hot to wear blazers here, guys. I want to put them in storage. But anyway, guys, I need some cheap uh some cheap hard shell. Uh I don’t need a new one cuz I’m happy with the removable one I have. I was just saying there when the camera wasn’t recording, I was saying that the Tumi luggage is so heavy, guys. like uh it looks wonderful. It looks really amazing and it’s actually was very expensive. But um but when you go to check in and you’re trying to lose weight, sorry, you’re trying to save money on the weight, um it’s actually not that smart. It looks good, but it doesn’t uh really help if you’re trying to reduce your costs for baggage fees. So anyway guys, yeah, they um shop back there for uh for luggage. Sorry for the large checked in luggage. The guy was buying me like 50 bucks. Uh I’m just thinking like Amazon basics type one is already 50 bucks. So I think I’d have to negotiate. So this is same rate guys. Uh and actually I think uh I saw one in macro is even cheaper like 20 bucks and I can’t really dig one of those on my scooter. So guys, this is a quick was a quick one today. Um, all right. Same rip city. I’m off to the gym now, guys. Get my groove on. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] So guys, yeah, I’m feeling a bit tired today. So, um, [Music] uh, I’ll bring some good updates uh for future content. Uh, nothing super informative today. Some business topics, nice views on things that make sense, doesn’t make sense, which uh won’t interest actually so many people. But just giving you uh yeah the the insights like of like some of the digital platforms here like uh Grab is your is your go-to guys if you need food. Uh if you need like grab a taxi, there you go. Grab a taxi in Southeast Asia. Drives the way forward.
