Tokyo’s Hot Summer Nightlife
[Music] Heat up here. [Music] Heat. Heat. Don’t let go. do this sh Tell everybody. All right. Hi guys, welcome back to another live stream from Tokyo. Today we are in Tokyo, back to Tokyo. And tonight we’re going to have a 2 hours adventure around Shinjigu Nishu area. Let me see the chat. All right. From the first. Hello Alan. Hello Bobby. We are full underwater. All street under water. Wow. That’s crazy. Hope everything is well there. Hello Ray. Tall 33. We are entertaining oursel. Thank you. going to be a great stream. Thank you all. Hello. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening depending on where you are. Yes, depend on where you are. Good morning, good afternoon. Thank you for understanding. Take your time. Hello. Hope your mother feels better soon. So, I’m still checking the chat Mr. Saint. Hello. Hello, Arer. Hello, Carl. Nice from Australia. Hello. the pit journal and nothing is happening as always. What do you mean nothing is happening as always? Hello Alpha. Yeah, today no rain, only heat. Summer heat. It’s nice to back to this channel. Way better behaved group of regulars. Much respect for everyone. Holland is less busy here. Seven say too. Yeah, thank you. Seven. Yeah, it’s it’s hot today and we’re going to explore the whole area tonight again. them. Hope I am saying it right. New subscriber really enjoy the live stream. Thank you Carl. Hope you’re doing well. And Kilder with the sticker. Yeah, way less busy here. All right, let’s start the adventure tonight. We’re going to explore the whole area. We got 2 hours and let’s do this. As it says 35 in the day. Yeah, the thing is in the Tokyo. So 35° it looks much hotter because it’s humid. So for example, someday even in Hokkaido area in the uh west side of Hokkaido also someday we have 35° but 35° in Hokkaido is really different than 35° in Tokyo. Tokyo the is very humid and that makes it really feel like it’s like a 40°. It’s really crazy. Cold and cloudy in Australia. It’s winter right now in Australia. Right. All right. We going to go straight. And so now I’m checking the chats. later I’m going to just focus on the video and I might not be able to see the chat for like a 10 15 minutes 20 minutes and then I’ll get back to the chat again a few time like this. So please enjoy the video so far. So good. It’s a little uh Yeah, it’s hot now. It’s humid, but it’s a little breeze, a little wind sometimes. So, that feels good. But now the breeze is stopped. So, now again, it’s hot. So, and this encoder I’m using it like I said produces heat. So, I think I’m thinking of buying one of those, you know, the jacket the rest that has just like was attacked by a weird mosquito or something. Anyway, let’s keep going. All right, let me show you the Nishi Shinjuku first and then we go to Higashi Shinjuku Minami Shinjuku Shinjuku all first Nishi Shinjuku Shinjuku is just uh more cozy, not as crowded and not as touristy as the Higashi Shinjuku or the Minami Shinjuku where Kabuku is located. That area is more crazy crowded. Here is a bit less crowded. This area usually has like a bigger bigger they have more seats and a little maybe even the price cheaper than they. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. So, Tuesday night. Hello. This is the that I’ve been before. I think I remember I’ve been here once on another ship. And this one also is cool. It’s huge. And the design also is nice. They have like a private private private small spaces like private rooms inside and you can go with your group and have fun and enjoy drinking privacy. So, Eagle Game Center. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. There we go. So, Shinjuku daytime is really popular for uh shopping. There are many shopping center in this area and also it’s a buzzling business town with a lot of parties and also uh there are many normal restaurant daytime you can enjoy Japanese food and all the area even the isakaya usually they serve alcohol and all type of food at night. lunch time also they serve lunch is much cheaper than night time because night time is a is a kind of system daytime it’s only lunch so as usually the price is cheaper more here. Let’s check out some of these back suits. Sometime you just find a nice cool place in back streets of Shinjuku or anywhere in Tokyo. Sometimes you just go explore some hidden area. you’ll find something interesting. That’s my mission. Always explore to find something new. So, let’s see what we have got here. It’s Wagyu Kov. This one is Kobe beef. I think most of you guys watched the live stream a few days ago in Coobe. So in Coobe we tried Coobe beef which is a really luxury brand Japanese Wagyu and I always explain that there are Wagyu in every prefecture in Japan but the top some of them are top uh and because they have a competition every time and uh Kov beef is always number one so the price also is super expensive. expensive, much more expensive than others. But the tricky point is so there are coo beef brand everywhere in Japan. But if you eat coobe beef in Coobe in Hugo Prefecture, Koo is the center of that prefecture. If you eat it there actually is much cheaper than other places. So we tried coobe beef and even we compared a lot of restaurants the price system and surprisingly we realized that Kobe even saying is cheaper and it feels more original. So if you guys want to try Wagyu, you don’t have to try quality beef in cold in to Shinjuku or in other cities. You can try any type of Wagyu. And all of them are tasty and high quality, really delicious and good. And honestly, I don’t really see much different in the quality and taste, but I see much different in price. So, and if you want to really try and experience Kobe, you better try it in Coobe. And yeah, like I said, Coobe is one of the top seven biggest city in Japan. It’s a It has a really lively night life just like in Shinjuku. A bit smaller, but it was cool. It was awesome. Was I would recommend you guys going to uh co in this because it’s just near you can go to Kyoto if you are if you are coming to Japan for the first time. Yeah. Try try uh yeah try Tokyo track Osaka Kyoto but when you go to Kyoto I think it’s better to spend less time in Kyoto just see some vacation in Kyoto then go check out the area nearby as well for the which is only 1 hour away from Osaka. Not actually 1 hour away from Kyoto. It’s only 25 minutes from Osaka and then you can go to like Hello. What is that? That’s the menu. So all you can drink 1,000. That’s good. Uh yeah. All right. That was that was about the All right. Let’s go to a different area now. This is Nisha. By the way, this is Shinjuku. Nishu was Shinjuku west side which is more chill, more quiet. Let’s go to opposite direction. So we just started a project to do live stream high quality 4K live stream just like this in every prefectures in Japan. Night life of every prefectctor. So, Japan has 47 prefectures and we already covered I think seven prefectures. So, I’m going to make a playlist for all the live stream and make it clear uh whichure we on the thumbnail that you can also watch it again. So to connect with the night life in different prefectures in Japan also connect with locals and see the culture, the night life, people, drinks, foods. That’s my main purpose in that project. So we just started. So that one I’m going to do it in the main channel. Also, I want to actually when I I record the video when I stream it, then I will edit it and push the quality and upload it in this channel as a regular video. So, if you guys missed that live stream in the main channel, you can still check it out in this channel as a maybe with a better of course because it’s not live. I use the main footage video and I edited in this channel so you can still see it and enjoy with a better quality. So that’s going to be 47 episodes live stream 4K quality with fullframe camera professional lens and I’m sure nobody else gives you that quality in Japan. So subscribe to this channel and that channel Japan Explorer for those videos. And I’m also planning some other ideas after that project. So yeah, stay tuned for that. All right, let’s go to uh let’s go check out Yoko which is a popular spot in Shinjuku. Very nostalgic, very cool. You can get very delicious Japanese little dish there. Yakito, yaki niku, ramen, even seafood. You can try all type of Japanese food in that area. So, it’s only I think 70 80 little isakayas. They are small but very cozy, very friendly. Usually, you can sit there and drink and then can talk to locals or talk to other travelers. And this is a landmark building in Shinjuku Mal building. It’s a nice welldesigned building. So cool. You can see it from many location in Shinjuku. So, and if you go straight from here, I think if you walk 10 minutes, you can reach the government buildings which they have a I don’t know if they have it yet. They have a lighting projection show on the building. It’s a Godzilla presu to my right continue way to where was it? Where the So this Odoku shopping mall in front of us is part of Odoku train company, Odoku line. So each train company in Japan has a shopping and shopping mall everywhere. So you like your line, it’s a nice train company. It goes you it takes you all the way to Mount Fuji area. Even they have a romance car. It’s like a Shinkansen. It’s called Romance Car because the design is cool. Is like a I think it’s meant to be a romantic tree because the windows are big. You have a really good view. People running. Wow. All right, we made it. And yeah, has a shopping mall, even supermarket like Tobo, like Sabu, some big uh chain company in Japan. They have most often they have shopping as well. Shopping shopping. Check the ch. Heat. Heat. All right, let’s go through all Heat. Heat. All right, we are heading to is a very nostalgic town in Tokyo. That town is a little area. Yoko means drinking area means memory memory lane. Memories. It’s a nostalgic sound and it feels it feels really different. So here we are in the main area and over there is the gate of memory lane. So it’s very tiny smoky maze really filled with old Japanese. It’s always really chill, very friendly. They uh very small, very narrow with a lot of field and stuff. And as you see the gate in Japanese says also in English to see was 70 card on the place on the sign. Let’s let’s go inside and check what they have here. I have showed here as I have showed actually this many other streets like different feeling signal. Actually, this video was originally made after World War I. So, the history of this area goes back to World War II. At that time it was like a block market maybe some casual region but now it’s quiet because it’s cool Because most of the shops they have air conditioning and really the natural comes up but it’s very narrow walking this area. So it’s drinking or some other foreigners foreigners. Smells really good. Walking pushes you to go inside. All type of real food here. Chicken shortcuts to visit some other area like this. Some of them you can see outside bar only a few bars here. Most of you have to eat something while drinking some water. Oh, hello there. really feels good to drink in this area because like I said this bars are very small are very small. Naturally, you sit with some other people and they can talk with them. You drink a lot of Japanese talking when they drink alcohol. So, it’s a good way to drink in this area to practice your Japanese if you’re into studying Japanese. So, let’s check out this street as well. Another original. [Music] So that’s you feels really good here. So here is Tokyo. You see some like this very old like just after World War II feeling go to somebody. Thank you. But I could have spent more time exploring only the yoga, but that’s that’s a concept of another video to go deeper and talk more about. All right, that was hope you guys enjoyed. So if you are enjoying the video, please hit the like button now so we get energy and continue exploring the cool, no, not the cold, the hot night of Shinjuku tonight. Please don’t forget to hit the like button. See the chance 188. Yeah. Feels a lot was actually 57. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Okay, thank you. Yeah, Tokyo and I think 70% of Japan in general July and August is super hot. Super hot and humid. So July and August, June is rainy season. Sometimes it’s cool, sometimes hot, but still is not as bad as July and August. September, first week is usually a bit hot. Second, third week cools down. So yeah, I think it’s only 2 months with the extreme heat. There was a homeless lady now was a guy singing. So recently I think a lot of this freelance singer street musician and performer have difficulty of finding place in especially busy area like Shima Shinjuku. They need to get permission to sing otherwise police come and stop them. It used to be easier for them seeing everyone but now it’s more difficult and they say you they have to get permission but I hear getting permission is really hassle and they can’t actually do it. They need a lot of I don’t know they have to deal with a lot of documentation they gave up. So they go to some other area which is less crowded. So I think in those area they are okay. So usually this time I can see all of the former but now one here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. East side. We started the video from the west side. Now it’s east side. So is bus the biggest station in the world. So the whole station is really big. There are many entrance exit everywhere. Maybe takes 1 hour to have it turn around the whole area. And then I think the average the daily user station would take 2.5 million every day has the most number of lines And that’s why the nightife area is so big is a night life area of Shinjuku is the biggest in Japan as well. I’m going to show you this area Shinjuku and then we go to deeper side of Shinjuku. Come on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Let’s continue our way. turning around Shinjuku and then maybe Minj [Music] This is a cool game center is new. I think it was open right after Hobbit. Everything is yellow. me. Oh, come on. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Let’s check this area as well. [Music] Heat. Heat. We’ll be over here. this British up here. Have you guys been here? So, this one is more quiet than others. in Shinjuku. There are many in Shinjuku. I think seven six seven hubs in Shinjuku area. All right, let me check the chat. Hammer says look like walking along a train truck. Yes. And we’re going to continue our walk to college. Yeah. Heat. say, “I enjoyed working here. Could find my way easy despite not being able to read Japanese yet.” So, Shuku is very complicated, especially if you go inside the station. It’s really confusing even for Japanese people. So it’s not only because it’s uh in kanji also another thing is too many signs too many signs too many colors and you naturally uh miss them miss the you know you can’t see it sometimes because too many words and this way is confusing also too many lines. Thanks. So it’s very natural if you get lost in Shinjuku. Call say when you get a drink lemon sour. All right. Sure. If I get ag next video. Yeah, also I made videos there, but I didn’t do live stream. Yeah. All right. I’m going to do that. All right. Maybe let’s actually talk about something that I just was thinking about it earlier. So in the main channel, Japan Explorer. So I focused on I’m going to Oh yeah, like earlier I explained I want to focus on uh doing live stream in all prefectures of Japan. So we have 47 prefectures. I just did live stream for I think 57 I think six to seven prefectures. So I’m going to continue that project. within a year I’m going to complete the whole maybe 47 prefectures. I have been to most of them but I didn’t do live stream. So it’s a new project. I’m going to do that on the main channel Japan Explorer and like I explained earlier I’m going to edit the video also upload in this channel as a regular video. But the regular live stream on this channel is going to be just uh about maybe different area in Tokyo just exploring deeper in areas near Tokyo, Tokyo or even uh yeah some other pictures. So this way I’m going to a bit separate the concept of these two channel With that saying, I need your support here guys. Please hit the like button and let’s keep the energy high level for exploring Japan deeper. Uh T- Roll 33J, what’s your favorite prefecture so far? I like a lot of, you know, in Japan, every prefecture has a different feeling, different cities, Japan, but some of even they have different Japanese accent that is really hard to understand even for Japanese like in Kobe. the people the way they talk is really different. So earlier at that Kobe is one of my favorite city in Japan in terms of city. The architecture the architecture is cool. So it’s a is a and the the the land by itself that area is so cool because it has mountain ocean connected together. So the city is just extended along from motion from the ocean side to the mountain. So when you go to top of the mountain, you can get a really cool view. Actually, I flew around there. I’m going to up you can see how beautiful is K. But yeah, you said which one is your favorite? My favorite. Recently I’ve realized I like Shiga Prefecture because it’s very unique. It’s not crowded, beautiful city, clean, quiet and like very also nice people and also I love Wakayama that we went there two days ago. Very lovely people, very nice people, very beautiful town. Again, that’s a port, too. There’s a castle. So, it’s really hard to pick one favorite, but yeah, my favorite one is those that they I like architecture, modern architecture. Also, I like the old buildings, history. So, a combination of these two, it’s uh feels really nice for me. also uh the nature. Yes. So I don’t know I just didn’t apply your question but I can’t keep only one Otherwise, that’s why the cat feel Please hit the like button if you’re enjoying this video. few minutes ago. Was there Yeah. Heat. I’m not going to say flower garden. Yeah. Yeah, that’s amazing. That flower garden. Actually, we went there. Also, I did a drone shot there. I’m going to upload that one, too. Me too. I love the old and the new right next to each other. Yeah, that’s a really cool combination. [Music] All right, let’s start the adventure. Let’s go deep into red light. Heat. Heat. Another heading to land of joy. Tuesday night, hot summer night. Let’s see what we can discover tonight. This is Godzilla Road. We’re going to see, of course, Godzilla here. So is there very colorful lively it’s a super town it’s a Japanese ter of this townst. So it’s safe, it’s cool, but also it’s the most maybe dangerous side part of Japan in terms of you know not in terms of your side terms of you know scam money pocket many hidden area hidden bars when you go inside and you start drinking you don’t know what happened to your wallet, how much you’re going to pay, you don’t know. It depends on how exactly you manage your, you know, drinking. [Music] But recently is much better, is more organized, more under control compared to 10, 20 years ago. It’s much safer. Like 10 years ago, 15 years ago, even local Japanese, a lot of they wouldn’t come to this area because they feel it’s not safe. It was linked to the you know Yakuza other unsafe stuff here but now it’s super safe because they somehow got rid of the still there but they can’t control they can’t be doing anything wrong. So this way it’s much safer. So has a lot of poss. A lot of snack bars, a lot of like normal restaurant, coffee, concept, many other things all hidden on the top floor of buildings because they are hidden in top floor buildings. So uh it’s hard for customers to find them. So the girls wait outside for advertising the shops. Also there are many game arcades places also lot of love. Let’s go. And last week I shot a video in this summer restaurant. It used to be a robot robot restaurant. Now it’s a summary restaurant daytime and it’s a gira I shot a video at the girls bar here last week. I’m still working on the edit soon. I’m going to upload that one main channel. So, we’re going to check that one out soon. [Music] So cool who comes to Detroit many see a lot of people in the south you see young Japanese guys with Crazy boys taking the customers, girls. See a lot of tourists with big eyes and small wallets. Tourists see a lot of catchers trying to invite people to bars bar. You see all rushing after work going home or getting to last train. Of course, you see me holding a camera like I’m in a video game. So you see all type of people in this town. [Music] Also, I’m going to show you the way as well. Sometimes even I’m holding the camera and I walk and I hear this guy is calling from behind. Massage. As you know, bro, I’m recording now. Recently, it’s everything seems getting more normal, right? Let’s check out. Hello. How are you? And you hear that many times just a random guy ask you, “Hello, how are you? Thanks for asking, what do you want? Fun tonight.” A lot of these guys come to you, they want to take you to some mystery places. You better not follow them. If someone is pushy to take you inside somewhere, don’t follow. Don’t be shy. I’ve heard a lot of things. I have seen a lot of things here. If you want to go somewhere, you better research it by yourself and plan it by yourself. Don’t follow catchers unless you want to go to like even girls there. I’m going to show you the catch area. many girls uh waiting for for customer. If you know the system and still when you did your research on my head, you can be safe. You do some tours here. Actually, tomorrow we have a tour in this area [Music] and we talk about details on that tour. So we tell you what to do in this area. Also we do our hobby tour in some other area as well and we I have done some video shooting in many bars in this area. I can recommend you if you want to go Hello. I love you. So actually why this town is called Kabuki Cho? Kabuki Cho. Kabuki is a Japanese traditional theater, you know guys. And Kabuki Cho Cho means town. Kabuki Cho means Kabuki town. Because back then after World War II the area was damaged by air raids and then the mayor of the town his name was Suzuki. So he was planning to make this town like one of the biggest entertainment in Japan. So actually he did but he was planning to make a kabuki here as a golden spot this town but he couldn’t I don’t know for some reason make a kabuki theater here but he still named it kabuki it’s somehow a kabuki is a symbol is a Japanese traditional show so it’s entertainment so this is a town of kabuki you can see the modern version of uh Japan entertainment industry in here. So still makes sense name of Kawuko here. And so the town is this Kabuki town is huge like I said the biggest in biggest one in Japan. We did a live streaming. Hello. How are you? Thank you. I’m good. Uh we did a live stream in Osaka. I feel Osaka night life in Namba area it’s even more even cooler than here but it said this area is bigger but the Osaka one is so because people in general are more friendly more open and more talkative then we can extend that you can see the night life Oaka are more people are more relaxed. You can see the girls bar more relaxing. Tokyo a bit more shy and also also has the river side barakaya. Kabuki doesn’t have river that river helps a lot to make feel really more fun and like a night life compared to here. But yeah is the biggest idea. We accept that. We say, “Okay, the biggest red light area in Japan, but it doesn’t look like any other red light in other countries like Taiwan, but sorry, Thailand. It’s different. It’s hidden because of the rules and regulation in Japan.” So, but still, whatever you can do in Thailand, you can do it in here. But it’s layered, it’s hidden, it’s more complex, more mysterious. This way, I think it’s even more fun compared to in Thailand because it’s like a game. You have to play a game to reach the your main goal. In Thailand, you can just walk and do your game inside one of the shop. But here, you have to solve the puzzle first. Heat. Heat. Now it’s 11:30 midnight and or town still lively. This town is going to be live until morning. Most of the bars and shops are open until morning. And this is a place where you go to Gers or Kavajjo to drink. And then you after drinking can even use uh after service after is a term for some jo invite the girls for uh bar hopping or drinking in some other places. after the business hours which for some of the bars is 1:00 or 2:00 then after that you can invite the girls you have to pay or you have to open an expensive drink for them in order to do that you have to be a regular company in this area there are lot of towns and establishment that overcharge customers overcharge customers for your safety because of not go along with them. Don’t go along with them. You will be ripped off the speaker. See the speaker. Keep repeating those words for your safety. Because when you go inside you got nobody’s there. Police doesn’t get involved in this type of situation and you have no choice. All right. All right. So, this is a orange truss. It’s a cover grill. I made a video here actually a few months ago my channel. It’s a cool cover. I’m going to explain that experience. If you haven’t seen that video, you can check that one out in my channel. Like I said, it’s one of the coolakura or kawaju in Tokyo in Shinjuku area. There are many of them in Ginsa, more luxury, even better designed than this. But the one that one in Shinjuku is a Kawajjo. So Kavajjo is a place you go there generally uh drink with girls. And so the different between a cover or cover uh between normal is more casual. You will go there. You pay for 1 hour like a all you can drink. You can buy some in that all you can drink menu. It’s like a 3,000 and you can drink some basic drinks, cheaper one. You cannot if you buy some expensive drinks then your deal is going to be much higher. Usually bar 3,000 all you can drink for like a 45 minutes and then you have to pay 25% tax. Can’t ch with girls. The girls sit in front of you over a counter or a desk. But kabakur or kaw the one that I showed you just my friend uh the girls actually sit with you just beside you and sometimes you are allowed to touch them casually shoulder leg a little not like a sexy touch and then you drink with them just nearby just like a couple you can drink with them and the system is at least four times more expensive than a girls bar. So it’s that orange dress I went at least you have to pay $20,000 yen or $150 for 1 hour. Then uh they have a shin system which is uh like when you sit with one girl they have a system every 20 minutes the girl switches. So the girl that sitting with you and drink with you for 20 minutes automatically changes another girl’s joy. So if you like the girl that you talk to for 20 minutes, if you want to keep her, you have to pay a price for keeping another price for keeping keeping the girls. If you don’t pay that one, then you take the next girls come and you have to buy a drink, a new drink for the girls, the next girl. So the system is pushing you to pay and then if you buy something more expensive because usually drinking kabokura is higher quality is more expensive than like a girls bar. It’s not like a normal high bar or Japanese sake or cheap wine is more expensive stuff. This way is expensive and but All right, then. Like I said, but if you buy expensive drinks, you have to pay more. Sometimes you end up paying like 50,000 or like $1,000. You don’t know. So especially if you get drunk and then lose control and then cute girl, beautiful, sexy girl come and keep talking to you and you continue the fun night and then you lose track of your money. So that’s a coverage cover. So the big difference is higher quality girls, welldressed girls and there are many girls usually in there sometimes. So when I did that video actually before that before the video I could talk to eight girls while drinking but that video the owner of the bar paid so I didn’t pay anything and then yeah that was the story of Kavajjo or Kavakura and now we are in Uh the love hotel area. This area is love hotel area. A few hundred love hotel in this area. Love hotels. Very are very cool. Well designed uh hotels made for romance. Short temporary romance or long anything any type of love. Or you can just go in by yourself and just stay for a few hours. All right, we are almost in Golden Gay area. So, we going to go to Golden Guy area now. Oh, sorry. I didn’t check the comments for a long time. Let me check the comments before we enter the rolling guy. All right. Z Jentral. Hello. [Music] Holland says, “Are you close to TT Twister?” Yes, I’m close to TwiT Twister. It’s the opposite side actually. Now I’m heading to Golden Kai, but it’s only 5 minutes away from here. If you want to say hi to Titus, I can take you there. All right, let’s let’s continue. Oh, car maybe left already. Okay, yeah, stay away foreigners unless Yeah. If you are with a group or with someone that speak Japanese or knows they Yay. Do a video with me here on the shoulder. Oh, you’re talking about that video we made in OA few years ago. Yeah. Yeah, that video was cool years ago. It’s hot. It’s hot now. We are in area. Maybe I get a I’m not going to drink tonight inside any bar, but I feel thirsty to get a drink. Maybe keep hitting the like button. Not. Please keep hitting the If you done it for once, don’t do it. If you do it second time, I think you just remove the first one. Yeah. For the new guys, if you haven’t done the like button, please do. Oh, seven says there are still a few bars in that are bars when I haven’t seen them myself, but they are right now. you see around maybe you got not only a few there are many actually there are many bud bars so you have to be careful but also there are bars that depends on how you act could be could be normal if you know the system if you tell them that you know and you’re not going to be fooled then they won’t try to scam you so it’s all depends on you how I have to see the situation. Maybe I get one lemon to only one only one the little things here. All right. [Music] [Music] All right. Cheers, guys. That was our Who was I think it was Ed Car. It’s really good in this hot summer night heat because of the Let me one parliament say, “Can you trust the guys in the information books?” Uh, yes. I think you can trust them better than the random guys in the street. But still, still uh even for those guys, you have to play it safe. You have to do your research. You have to know the system. When you go in, you tell them what you want. Tell them your budget. You tell them you know about it. So then you can it’s safe. All right. This is the Shinjuku Golden area. Nostalgic bar hopping area with a history of like 70s I think 70 years after just after World War II. And then it was a black market. And then after World War became like a casual drink area for a lot of artists and musician and film writer writer to share idea while drinking. Hello. And then yeah you can see those uh nostalgic feeling. A lot of them still they have the same design for many years because those artistic design. So a lot of people come here because it’s a really cool area for drinking. [Music] We explain this on the Shinjuku tour. I’m going to just walk you there. Uh just a quick walk. All right. All right, let’s go in. Let’s enter this maze. It’s like a maze. There are many shortcuts. [Music] So, it’s a cool area with over 200 bars, cozy bars like this artistic design because of the like I said the war effect and a lot of artists actually came here for inspiration and talking about the war damage and making art books and so you can see still everything is cool shiny just like World War era World War II era and you can see a lot of like shortcuts to inter other streets and each bar each building has three floors. We explained more detail on the tour and sometimes they have a rooftop too, especially in summer. Some of them you can go and drink and the system is usually somewhat more snack bar. Snack. What is it? Usually a Japanese lady serving customers with drink and a snack. It’s called a snack. It’s the oldest type of night life place in Japan. Snack. Let’s go from here. No charge. So the cool thing about this area is very straight ahead. So it’s it’s not over here. They have a clear system. They say one ring 1,000 very clear. Some of them they have a charge you have to pay additional 500. for the place. Some of them only drink. So this area it’s not really can enjoy drinking because it’s clear the system. It’s really nice. Feels good here. So you can go to the the stairs are very narrow. So you guys, if you’re not Japanese size, you have to be careful, don’t hit the wall in the roof. All right, let’s continue our walk. This was the Golden Guy. Did you enjoy Golden Guy? Please hit the like button if you enjoyed Golden. All right, let’s continue. Yeah. Wonderful. call make sure you eat today. Actually, I had food before. I had the some other events tonight somewhere else. So, I had the dinner. So, I am okay. And I’m This is the only drink I’m going to get tonight. We have been drinking a lot. Is it Japan? Nice. Golden guy. Yeah, Golden guy is really nice. It’s cool. I I spy deathm in hell in the field. Alan, did you see my pass mode? Nice balance on your pass me. You can charge the passmo max. I think the maximum you can charge is 20,000 yen. So 20,000 yen is the max you can get. Pasmo is actually really good in Japan because you can use it for train, for bus, even in countryside. We use Pasmo. I use this Pasmo all the time when I go everywhere. Only Shinkans and you have to buy ticket. But you can just use it train station, bus, and everywhere in Japan. This is cool. the girls bar prices who ask this question on Jacob. So the they have a system uh it depends on the bar. Some of them I usually trust the one that they have been doing the business for a long time. If they survive the business and they have been doing for a long time, then it means they are doing well. But they are new, you have to be careful because sometimes they they’re temporary, they overcharge, they try to scam, especially if you’re foreigner. If you you can’t speak Japanese, then um they some sometime they sometime they don’t let you in as a foreigner. Sometimes you listen and there are more bars that they open for foreigners but you have to double check the price system and sometimes there are even for Japanese the system is complicated. They don’t tell you the details. They just show you a sign for example 45 minutes. Oh, you can drink 30,000 3,000. But they don’t say it. They don’t tell you the other complicated price pops up later. So this way they make it like a puzzle to confuse you, to charge you later. We can’t do anything about it. So in one of the live stream I had actually I got an issue with one of the girls box and then they tried to overcharge us. I had five people with me but I said no I’m not going to pay any one single yen more than what I initially talked and they said even they call police I said okay call police I’m going to explain and then even I said I’m going to tell uh about your war in my YouTube channel and then they gave up they say oh okay just pay the initial All right, lemon sour done. And since we have a rubbish can here, I have to use that one. Get rid of it. All right, let me take you to the catch a Do you have a video explaining the scam system for girls bar for the first time tourist? Uh I made a lot of video I explained or I made subtitle about that. I’m not sure cuz I made a lot of video even I can’t track them which one I talk about but since you say that maybe I need to make a video and explain please check the channel I will make a video make everything clear uh about this but I can give you the information also if you come to Japan for the first time I would advise you join smiley world tours There’s more hopping tour in Shinjuku. Tell you exactly what to do. You can join the tour. Enjoy the tour with us and then next time and also I can recommend you some gears bar or bars that you want to go. I can recommend you even tell the owner that you are going. Then you make sure you’re not uh you’re not No. My advice would be join this mighty walk tour. Then you can get some knowledge and experience. Do it by yourself. All right, since Alan was asking about that, let me take you there. Actually, I shot the video here a few years ago. the bar right here just so Allan was asking about this I took you here just now. Yeah, I shot the video a few years ago here as well. Very cool. I live can check that one in my main channel too. Okay. All right. Are you happy to Allen? Now look at the names. Banana bar. Banana the it’s really funny the way they use English for naming the bars or even the soapland or love they use really unique English names like the rocket wife for funny names for so all right let’s keep going keep going keep going All right, let’s keep moving to a different area. Thank you S for recommending a tour customer service. Heat. Heat. Okay, let’s continue our adventuring. Heat. Heat. So this street if you go straight like I said is a love hotel district and then you can go to Tokyo’s Korean town like just 15 m away from here. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. So, uh they are actually updating their rules and regulation here and there changes. So, they make it even more difficult. So, this guys you see on the wall are so recommend that they serve girls inside the shop. But as you see some of the signs are taken down or you see some black marks on the names. That’s a new thing happened in Kabuku. New regulation. You see those block signs covering the title. Some of the title the boards are taken down. So you guys some of you guys all in others you have joined the Shinjuku. So this is new for you. Some of the sign are taken down. You know why? Because there was a competition uh system for the hosts. So if they get more customers, they if they get more girls to the bar, they rank higher. Higher salary. Some of them they rank lower and it was too much stress. It was a competition. And some of them get fired. If they don’t do well, some of them they give higher. So it was too much stress for the host for the guys. Now they actually removed that competition because it was too much stress. This way the some of the signs are which it was mentioned like for example this guy number one, number two, number three. They actually got rid of the numbers. They got rid of the numbers because they want to get rid of that competition. So it’s a big step against stress even in the night life area. They don’t want that competition. They don’t want that stress. So this way the regulation is changed. So that’s a good step. In Japan they are trying to control the stress level now because makes a lot of issue has been dealing with a lot of issue. Japan because of stress, a lot of suicide, a lot of other things in Japanese companies. Now it seems they are doing it better even night life even the host are now under control and a lot of Japanese changing job companies. Now they are advertising TV means changing job. So if someone because Japanese people when they work at the company they are very you know patient they they don’t really move they are very flexible they are not like foreigner keep protesting people they are very I don’t know they are thinking about the stability even the situation is not good they stick with the company they stay there forever but that makes a lot of issue less of family time, a lot of stress, a lot of other stuff and in general you know population getting shrunk and stuff. So they are doing this step in the long run they think they they going to fix the issue. So now a lot of like I said changing job companies are advertising TV. So they encourage people if your job is stressful, if you’re not okay with your company because Japanese people are shy, they don’t really go to the management. Oh, I’m going to quit my job because of this. They don’t do that. So because they don’t do that, a lot of other companies actually, they would help you. They will fill the documentation. They would comp your company that I am I’m going out and they will find you another job. So that’s a really good step changing job tension company in Japan. That’s not the advertise every day. Many of them to help people get rid of the bad job and find a better job with the environment. And now we are in front of I love kich sign. [Music] All right, we’re going to check out the catch area. Today is Tuesday night. Now it’s already We are on Wednesday. Now it’s midnight exactly 1 minute past midnight. Lively town sleepless town. Let’s check out the catch area in midnight. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] everything usual. There you go. This is a Music. Music. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. I just didn’t realize music. Let’s check out the uh Ichibang the main gate of Tokyo. We’re going to come back here tomorrow. I mean it’s going to be tonight. Now it’s already Now it’s already tomorrow. We have a tour in hours coming up in 17 hours. 17 hours before It’s It’s not crowded as usual here because we don’t see many tourists in Japan on summer. July and August is super hot. So that’s crowded. Even for Japanese people, it’s this temperature is hot and they prefer to stay away from the heat. [Music] [Music] This is the main gate of Kabo. It’s called Kabo Ichiban. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Let me check the comments. Say the Mexico bar is one of my favorite and Shinjila. Yeah, we’re going to go there tomorrow night. Oh, so I see some people actually because businessmen in Japan they have to wear suit. So even in hot I don’t know they have to wear suit some people I don’t know this like this guy is wearing a long sleeve doesn’t feel hot I don’t know it’s hot it’s humid I don’t know learning kanji at the moment and about several Oh really? Yeah, that’s the best way to learn. The best way to learn a language is the, you know, with fun and joy. Let’s say I love the gateway. Yeah, the gate is so cool. So many girls going this guys like hit the like button. We are on the last of this stream. My last train is coming soon. I think we got only two more trains to go to my area. So, we going to finish the stream in a few minutes. That was the area the other side. And there goes the government buildings. 10 minutes. We’re going to turn right use car. Get another drink. I think I am good for tonight. Tomorrow also because we going to have a bar hopping area in Shinjuku. Tomorrow. Today supposed to be no drinking time for me, but I had one. So tomorrow I’m going to drink a lot because it’s a tour. Oh, Alan, thank you for mentioning it. Uh the December 24 the river cruise.
