On the Road – 金門獨旅之戰地風情 ( 下 )
In such an open and beautiful place, there are no vehicles in front of me or behind me. I got up at 5 o’clock this morning, washed up quickly, and rushed out the door. I thought that I must watch the sunrise when I came to Kinmen. It took about ten minutes to get here. I rode a little faster on the motorcycle, but it seemed that the sunrise time had passed when I got here. Besides , the place where the motorcycles were parked was not the place to watch the sunrise . I might have to walk a little. Anyway, there was no rush, just a walk. On March 29, 1953, Chiang Kai-shek wrote a poem. Behind this is the preface of the Taiwushan Cemetery of the National Revolutionary Army in Kinmen. Taiwushan Zhong The Martyrs’ Shrine is obviously under renovation. I just looked for a hiking trail on the map and asked the guard at the entrance. You can clearly see the magnificent sea view. This is the southeast corner of Kinmen at an altitude of 250 meters. The scenery of the coast is unobstructed . Going up this side, you will reach the Reflection Tower and the ancient stone chamber . The signboard says that the area in front of the Reflection Tower is a very good place to view Kinmen. But now there is a thick fog in front. The place where the officers and soldiers of Zheng Chenggong, the Prince of Yanping in the Ming Dynasty, played chess. It was many years ago that we did not forget to go back to Ju in January of the 51st year of the Republic of China . Before going down the mountain, I still felt a little unwilling to go back up to take a look. Then the fog receded and I could see the sun shining on the vast fields. Because the ancestors of Lieyu Island suffered from wind disasters and insect pests , and they had nowhere to turn to, so the villagers still set up wind chickens at the entrance of the village or on the roof to suppress the wind and termites, protect the house and ensure safety. The one on the left with a darker face is the North Wind God. There are also some offerings for sacrifice in front . Here we come to the Carnival Ice Cream Room to have a dessert. The ice is quite big. You can see it by comparing it with a mobile phone next to it. The taro, red beans and cheese on top are all very rich in flavor. It’s really too cold to eat this bowl when it’s so hot . Here is a record about the century-old Wind Lion God. He is the guardian god who guards the house and wards off evil spirits and protects descendants. This building was approved as a Kinmen historical building by the government in 2003 , but it has been dilapidated after years of wind and rain . Later, it was renovated with funding from the county government. It has been preserved in its original appearance for more than 300 years. The place I am standing now is called Xifang Street. We went around to Shaxi Fort in the southwest of Lieyu. There are not many tourists here, but I can say that I am inexplicably tired now because I have been exposed to the sun , riding a motorcycle , and traveling for days . Shaxi Fort is actually a bit tiring. In the coastal landscape area , you can visit the Shaxi Fort built by the National Army in the early days of Lieyu in response to combat needs, as well as some coastal defense bases. It has multifunctional military public base facilities , trenches for combat readiness personnel, foxholes , Shaxi tunnels , bunkers , Zhongshan rooms , and ammunition depots . Isn’t this our early resource recycling trash can? This is the part leading to the beach. There is a staircase down . Follow the signs and go down. He said that this side can go to the beach, but I don’t see a clear path. Do I have to cross the rocks in front? If so, I probably won’t go there. In the distance, I can also see the movement of ships. I put the camera on the telescope so that I won’t see it when looking far away. I was shaking around, but there were no tourists. Today is already Friday. I don’t know if it’s like this normally. As a result, I went to the parking lot, but unexpectedly, several groups of tourists came. Finally, there were tourists. I just crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and returned to this Golden Gate. The sunset in the sky is falling rapidly. Only when people stand under this bridge can they feel its hugeness. It is insignificant in front of the sea. Seeing the beautiful scenery makes my mood suddenly bright. This is the path. I just walked down from this side. I shouldn’t do too much travel today because I felt a little tired after a few days like this yesterday. I went back to Juguang Road. It contains pig intestines, pig blood , and shrimps. It has a little bit of fishy smell and actually I ordered a small bowl but the portion is not small. I walked away from the noisy Juguang Road and came to Central Road here. I feel my mind is a little clearer. After all, there are fewer people and I feel much more comfortable. Taking a walk here, it seems like falling into the long river of time. Everywhere I look, there is history. In fact, I don’t understand what these complicated patterns represent. Anyway, I just took a quick look . There is a Wudang branch town here . The incense burner in front of it is shining with golden light . In Beizhengmiaodao Village, Jincheng Town, Kinmen County, I turned into Zhongxing Road. There are many businesses selling tribute candies. Sometimes we often think that we should keep the old things and keep the good things , and not pursue the new. But if these new things make your life more convenient and even bring you some commercial value , do you want them? Actually, this is a very good question. It is not easy to do it by yourself. This is a Family Mart in Houpu. I found a resting space here. It is on the second floor and it also has a charging socket. I spent some time walking around this Sheng Heng Chang department store. It has relatively high-priced items, more popular and fashionable items. I looked at them and didn’t feel like buying anything in particular . The third floor is a duty-free shop , a bit like the ones we see at the airport. The fourth floor is a sports goods and drugstore. Here I came to the Yu Dawei Memorial Hall to read about this man’s life and deeds. Occasionally, you can see some chartered tours in the parking lot. The vans or cars I was traveling in suddenly made me feel envious. It was so hot. The vegetation around here is quite dense, which can provide some shade. In fact, this area is the Taihu Recreation Area. With Taihu Lake as the center , it can be surrounded by the lakeside Zhongzheng Park, Zhongzheng Memorial Lin , the 823 War History Museum, Mr. Yu Dawei Memorial Hall , Banyan Garden and other scenic spots. The 823 War History Museum is under renovation, so let’s take a walk in Mr. Yu Dawei Memorial Hall. Okay, this side is open. Please, please, make sure there is air conditioning . Okay, I just finished visiting the Mr. Yu Dawei Memorial Hall and came out. I probably have a little knowledge and understanding of his life experience . He is not only a good student , but also not only in theory. He has participated in various operations and surveys on the front lines, and has also fought in wars. He is really a very powerful person. The Republic of China Friends of Soldiers Kinmen Military Service Station is a very quiet space. There is a coffee shop right after you enter . I will order a cup of coffee later. It turns out that Kinmen’s natural environment is granite and granite gneiss. The uplifted terrain is very suitable for hiding fortifications underground. After the completion of the guesthouse, it was managed and operated by the Republic of China Friends of Soldiers as a service for the accommodation of officers and soldiers on leave and the families of regular soldiers. It was used until May 2000. Due to the national army’s streamlined plan, the strength of the Kinmen Defense Department The sudden decline made it unable to operate and manage the Friends of Soldiers Society, which was officially handed over to the Kinmen National Park Administration for maintenance and management. Here, there are demonstrations of the school-level and school committee rooms. Why are there Teresa Teng hanging on the walls? This is the general officer’s room, and the equipment is all Teresa Teng-related products. Hey, cat, I just spent a long time in it , probably more than an hour. A service staff member introduced me to the officers in the tunnel. When the generals come here to visit, they can eat and live in those rooms, but ordinary soldiers can’t. It turns out that there is a big door at the end of the tunnel that can be pushed open. There are more than five or six rooms inside, but now due to funding issues We no longer provide accommodation. There is no furniture inside . I heard that Teresa Teng once stayed here. I will be returning to Taiwan tomorrow. It is indeed tiring to run around like this. Let me tell you my thoughts. First, if I come here again next time, I will spend a little more money to rent a scooter with a paid phone holder. This way, I don’t have to frequently check where I am on Google Maps while riding a scooter. In addition, I think the transportation here also requires some getting used to, because there are roundabouts everywhere . We need to adapt to the roundabouts. Do I have to look to the left or the right ? Should you turn on the turn signal first, right or left ? I’m practicing my hand speed. There are some temporary slogans on each circle . I’ll check them out from time to time . Then there are a lot of cats in Kinmen. The cats I saw are all very tame and friendly to people. If you signal them, they will come over and rub against you. They are very considerate . I’ve been to some of our country’s outlying islands, including Green Island, Lanyu, and the current Kinmen and Xiaoliuqiu. I think Kinmen is more to my taste because it has more historical flavor and a longer history, or it is better preserved and has Some battlefield style , I quite like this feeling. After all, I like to see some historical sites. Although I am not so professional . As for the beach and the sea, it is actually very beautiful, but maybe not as famous as Green Island and Lanyu. I don’t know about diving in Kinmen , but the beach I went to was also very clean, which is also the part I like. Then I would like to add that if you come to Kinmen during this hot period like me, the temperature will rise sharply after about 7 o’clock in the morning, so you don’t have to rent a motorcycle. If you have enough money, I think a car or a chartered car is also good. This evening, I plan to go to Cihu Ci Di again because before I don’t think I caught it very well in the past few days. It was a little late , and the weather was good today. I believe I can take a very romantic sunset, so I went out early. Now I’m riding to the northern part of Beishan. What surprised me most is that the plants here are all very big and they are all planted very well. With the strong wind, the shadows of the trees swayed very beautifully. There is a water-drawing device here. I could see it at my grandmother’s house when I was a child. I guess many children haven’t seen it now. The Beishan sewage managed by Kinmen National Park . The one on the right is the preserved egg and pork fried noodles, and the one on the upper left is the golden salted egg radish cake It’s quite delicious. It ‘s a bit beyond my expectation. This is Houhu Seaside Park. It’s about 5.4 kilometers from where I live to here. In fact, if you live on the west side of Kinmen like I did this time , you will choose to watch the sunrise less, but of course you will watch the sunset more. If you want to see the sunrise, it should be more convenient. It’s best to live in the east side of Kinmen. It’s only six o’clock now , and there are already people on the beach . As expected, I arrived relatively late. It’s only six o’clock. I just had a brief chat with this lady. She is from Kinmen. In the morning, she will dig some clams here . I heard that they are all edible. It turns out that the Kinmen County Government has an advertisement saying that if the clams are smaller than two centimeters, please do not dismantle them or eat them so that marine resources can be used sustainably. It turns out that it’s not just the lady just now. Everyone got up early and came here to control their own ingredients. I rode about four kilometers and found a breakfast shop with a spacious storefront. Then I jumped into a corner and sat down. Then I was almost ready to leave here. This place is really very quiet and comfortable . I was a little reluctant to leave.
