Narita & Haneda Airport Ultimate Guide! Food / Hotel / How to Get to Tokyo / Japan Travel
Narita Airport & Haneda Airport! The Ultimate Guide! Hi! I’m Akanemaru, born and raised in Japan. This time, we’ll introduce Narita Airport and Haneda Airport. We’ll also explain in detail how to get from the airports
to the tourist spots in Tokyo. We’ll also share many recommended dishes that you can only try here, so be sure to watch until the end! Let’s start with Narita Airport. We will explain the 3 terminals, 8 hotels nearby,
and how to get to Tokyo. First, let’s start with Terminal 1. The departure lounge is on the 4th floor,
and there are arrival gates on the 1st floor. Most of the flights departing and arriving are international. It’s a 5-story building,
so we’ll introduce the floor in order from the top. On the 5th floor, there is an observation deck
where you can watch planes take off and land. This floor also has a food court. There are 7 shops where you can have ramen, curry,
and things like that. You can enjoy your meal while looking at the outside view. The highly recommended store here is Ginshari Hokkaido. It’s a specialty store for onigiri
made with branded rice from Hokkaido. There are various types available,
but this time we’re having one with beef filling. It has a nice aroma of seaweed. Inside, there is plenty of beef cooked in soy sauce and sugar. The rich seasoning goes well with the rice. Udon specialty shop Kineya Mugimaru is also recommended. It’s a shop that makes noodles from scratch every day. It’s Niku Udon topped with meat. The combination of Japanese broth
and beef fat creates a rich flavor. The noodles are chewy and have an addictive texture. In front of the food court,
there is a Lawson, which is a convenience store. One particularly recommended item is Karaage-kun. It’s a bite-sized piece of karaage
that you can enjoy like a snack. You’ll find many capsule toy machines on this floor. There are over 150 machines,
so give it a try if you have any coins leftover. Next is the 4th floor. There is a suitcase wrapping service on this floor. Prices start from 1,500 yen. If it’s not busy, wrapping will be completed in about 2 minutes. On the 4th floor, there is a dining area with some restaurants. Compared to the food court on the 5th floor,
you can enjoy more authentic cuisine here. There is a specialty restaurant for eel called Kawatoyo. The main store was established in 1910 and is located near Naritasan Shinshoji Temple,
which attracts over 10 million visitors per year. The eel bento at this restaurant is amazing! The thick eel and sweet sauce
complement each other perfectly, and it’s incredibly delicious. Tomita, located next to that, is also recommended. It’s a specialty shop for tsukemen located in Matsudo City,
Chiba Prefecture, and it’s one of the famous shops in Japan. This is their most popular tsukemen. The soup, which combines seafood and pork bone,
has a wonderful aroma. Let us briefly introduce the recommended way to eat it. First, let’s eat the noodles without dipping them in the soup. You can taste the aroma and sweetness of the wheat. Then, dip them in the soup and eat. The soup is rich and enhances the deliciousness
of the chewy noodles even more. The chashu pork is thick and satisfying to eat. To enjoy the remaining soup, after finishing all the noodles,
let’s ask for some Japanese-style broth. It has an aroma of yuzu and bonito flakes,
giving it an elegant taste. Next is the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor, there are shower rooms. It’s open from 7 AM to 8 PM,
and you can take a shower for 1,050 yen. It’s recommended for people on long flights. On the 1st floor, where the arrival gate is,
there is a statue of Mario. This pipe is a photo spot, so taking photos is recommended. Next is the 1st basement floor. On this floor, there are train ticket gates. There is a FamilyMart, but unfortunately,
I have some bad news. This store doesn’t have a deep fryer,
so they don’t sell Fami-chiki. You’ll also find a capsule toy area on this floor. There are over 250 machines available,
so check it out while waiting for your train. Alright, let’s move on to the next terminal. Next up is Terminal 3. Terminal 3 is about a 10-minute walk from Terminal 2. By the way, there is a shuttle bus
to move between terminals at Narita Airport. The fare is free. The bus comes every 5 minutes,
so the waiting time is short and convenient. Terminal 3 is the newest terminal with domestic LCCs
and international flights from Asia. It’s convenient for shopping with souvenir shops,
Lawson, and a drugstore available. There is a food court here with 10 restaurants. Botejyu serves okonomiyaki on a griddle,
so you can enjoy it piping hot. At FRESHNESS BURGER, which is a hamburger shop
originating from Japan, you can savor the authentic taste. Ittenmon is a popular ramen restaurant in Hakata,
the home of tonkotsu ramen. It doesn’t have a strong smell, so it’s easy to eat. If you’re looking for an inexpensive meal,
Matsuya’s gyudon would be a good choice. It’s affordable and tasty. My recommendation is the beef short ribs set meal. The beef has just the right amount of fat. Now, let’s move on to the next terminal. The last one is Terminal 2. There are domestic LCCs,
but it’s mainly for international flights. The 1st floor is for arrival gates,
and the 3rd floor is for the departure lounge. It’s a large building with 4 floors above ground and 1 basement,
so we’ll explain each floor in order from the top. This terminal has 2 observation decks,
one to the north and one to the south, but they’re almost the same in size and the views they offer. On the 4th floor, there are over 40 shops,
including souvenir shops and restaurants. The Pokémon Store is located on this floor. There are many items
that are only available at the Narita Airport store. Let us briefly introduce 3 recommended items. This is a fried rice cracker. It has the sweet flavor of honey
and a pleasant aroma of soy sauce. The Pikachu food clip is so cute! The next is a Japanese-style soup called Osuimono. You can easily make it by just pouring hot water
into the Magikarp-shaped monaka with soup base inside. It’s cute, and the taste is authentic. There is also Pikachu corn soup available. Just like Osuimono, it’s easy to make. It’s perfect as a souvenir for children. Next is Uogashi Nihon-ichi. It’s a standing-style restaurant
where chefs make sushi right in front of you at the counter. You can change the language of the touchscreen. This is the fatty salmon. At this price, it’s affordable for 2 pieces. It melts in your mouth. This one is topped with plenty of minced tuna on rice,
like a mountain. It’s fatty and has a rich flavor of tuna. It’s convenient to be able to eat it easily while standing. If you want to sit down and enjoy relaxed sushi,
we recommend Ganso Sushi on the same floor. The menu is written in English, making it easy to order. The prices are inexpensive compared to the shop
we introduced earlier. Conger eel and tuna are 176 yen. You can have thick, raw shrimp for 275 yen. It’s a bit in the back of this floor, so it might be a little hard to find,
but it’s a recommended place. On this floor, there is Gindaco,
a takoyaki specialty shop with the most stores in Japan. Their takoyaki is crispy on the outside,
and the inside has a melty texture. We’ll briefly introduce 3 items
that you can only eat at McDonald’s in Japan. This is a Teriyaki Burger. The sweet soy sauce flavor is addictive. This is the Samurai Mac with bacon and tomato. It also has a thick beef patty and white cheddar cheese,
making it satisfying to eat. This is another Samurai Mac with 2 beef patties
and cheddar cheese. The melted cheese makes it delicious,
so be sure to give it a try! We also recommended Tokyo Tonkotsu BASE,
a ramen shop on this floor. It’s operated by the world-famous Ippudo. The pork bone soup has a rich flavor,
but even if you’re trying it for the first time, it’s easy to eat. The chashu pork melts in your mouth. Besides ramen, the Chashu pork rice bowl is also popular. The grilled chashu pork and mayonnaise
make a perfect combination. At Starbucks in Narita Airport,
they sell items you don’t often find in other stores. There are a variety of tumblers and mugs with designs
from all over Japan. The particularly popular ones are the mugs
that come with a snow globe. The price is a bit high, but if you like it, give it a try. We’ll briefly introduce 3 souvenirs
that you can buy on this floor. This is a Baumkuchen in the shape of a panda. It’s an exclusive item only available at Narita Airport. S’MORE is a treat with grilled marshmallow on top of a tart. It’s delicious as it is, but warming it in the microwave makes it even tastier,
giving it a melting texture. This is a matcha-flavored castella cake. It’s luxurious with gold leaf on top. It has a nice aroma of matcha and an elegant flavor. Next is the 2nd floor. There is a Yoshinoya, and there is always a line. The beef bowl is inexpensive, but the taste is so delicious. My recommendation is the curry with beef bowl meat on top. It’s not too spicy and has a rich flavor like demi-glace sauce. Next is the 1st basement floor. There are some ticket gates for the train here. Now, let’s briefly introduce 8 hotels located
around Narita Airport. First up is nine hours. It’s located on the 1st basement floor
of the parking lot directly connected to Terminal 2. It’s the only accommodation within Narita Airport. It’s capsule-style and reasonably priced. Even if you don’t stay overnight,
you can use it starting from 1,500 yen per hour. If you only want to use the shower, it’s 1,000 yen. Next up is the Narita Tobu Hotel Airport. It’s close to Narita Airport
and is a popular hotel with facilities like a gym and sauna. Next is the Marroad International Hotel Narita. It’s located on a hill about 10 minutes away
by private shuttle bus, and it offers a great view. Next is the Narita Airport Onsen Soranoyu Spa Resort,
located about a 10-minute shuttle bus ride from the airport. It’s a capsule-style accommodation
where you can also enjoy hot springs. You can also take the hot springs without staying overnight. The open-air baths offer a great view. Next is the Narita Airport Rest House. It’s located within the Narita Airport premises, so you can watch planes take off and land right in front of you. Next is the ANA Crowne Plaza Narita. This hotel is operated by the airline ANA, and it’s popular for its luxurious buffet and indoor heated pool. Next is Hotel Nikko Narita. It’s a luxurious hotel with a chapel
where you can experience a resort-like stay. Next is Toyoko INN. It’s the reasonably priced hotel among those near Narita Airport. Please check the directions to the hotel
on each official website. Most hotels offer free shuttle buses. Alright, we’ll explain how to get from Narita Airport
to the main areas of Tokyo. The distance from Narita Airport to the main areas of Tokyo
is about 32 miles, and it can take anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours
depending on the means of transportation. You can get to Tokyo by train, bus, or taxi. First, we will introduce the train. There are 3 types of trains to Tokyo. The Narita Express is a limited express train that can take you directly to major stations in Tokyo
without any transfers. The Keisei Skyliner is the fastest limited express train
to the eastern part of Tokyo. And there are also regular trains
that take some time but offer cheaper fares. If you choose the train based on your destination
and travel time, getting between Tokyo and Narita Airport
will be more convenient. First, let us explain about the Narita Express, which can take you to the major areas of Tokyo
without any transfers. If you’re heading to Tokyo Station, Shibuya Station,
Shinjuku Station, or Yokohama Station, it’s better to use the Narita Express. You can get to those stations without any transfers. We will actually buy a ticket and board on the Narita Express. There are two ways to buy a ticket. You can buy it in advance on the JR EAST website
or on the day at a JR ticket office or ticket machine. The JR ticket office is open from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, so please use the ticket machine outside of those hours. English is spoken at the JR ticket office, so don’t worry. This time, we’ll buy the ticket from the ticket machine. It is available in English, Chinese, and Korean. It is easy to use. All you need to do is decide on the destination,
the number of people, the time, and the seat. You can choose from three payment options:
cash, credit card, or Suica card. Now let’s get on the Narita Express from Narita Airport Station. Insert your purchased ticket at the gate with the sign
for the Narita Express platform to pass through. Please wait for the train at the time you specified
when purchasing the ticket. If you’re boarding the Narita Express from Terminal 1
of Narita Airport, there is a cleaning process of about 5 minutes
after all passengers have gotten off, so please wait until it’s finished. After the cleaning is finished, get on the train. You can place your suitcase in this area
near the train entrance, and there are also dial locks available. Once you’ve placed your luggage,
please take a seat in your assigned seat. There are power outlets on the seats,
so it is possible to charge smartphones. You can use Wi-Fi for free inside the train. There are restrooms and washrooms available. You can also eat and drink on the train. The arrival time to the destination
may vary slightly depending on the departure time, but you can travel from Narita Airport to Shinjuku Station
in about 85 minutes. When using the Narita Express,
you can travel to Shibuya Station in about 80 minutes, Yokohama Station in about 90 minutes,
and Tokyo Station in about 60 minutes. Next, we will explain about the Keisei Skyliner. The Keisei Skyliner is a limited express train
that can take you to Keisei Ueno Station and Nippori Station in the eastern part of Tokyo. If you’re going from Narita Airport to Ueno, Ginza,
or Tsukiji, it’s better to take the Keisei Skyliner. You can buy a ticket at ticket counter
or ticket machines at Narita Airport. If you buy it online, the fare will be cheaper. This time, we’ll assume you’re returning
from Tokyo to Narita Airport, so we’ll head from Keisei Ueno Station
to Narita Airport Station. You can also buy a ticket at either the ticket counter or the ticket machines at Keisei Ueno Station,
just like at the airport. The ticket machines can be changed to different languages,
so it’s easy to understand. It accepts cash, credit cards and Suica cards. Insert your purchased ticket at the gate with the sign
for the Keisei Skyliner platform and pass through. Please wait for the train at the time you specified
when purchasing the ticket. There is almost no difference between the Keisei Skyliner
and Narita Express inside the train. Electricity outlets, Wi-Fi, washrooms
and restrooms are available, and you can eat and drink. It may vary slightly depending on the departure time, but it takes about 45 minutes from Keisei Ueno Station
to Narita Airport. In addition to the Narita Express and the Keisei Skyliner,
you can also travel to Tokyo by regular trains. It takes longer and you need to make a transfer,
but it is cheaper than the limited express train. It’s better to search for your destination station online
in advance to avoid making any transfer mistakes. Next, we will introduce how to travel by bus. Narita Airport has bus ticket counters and buses
are available to take you to various destinations. It takes longer than the express train,
but you can go directly to your destination, so it’s easier to move around even if you have heavy luggage. By the way, the low-cost buses,
which are cheaper than regular buses, are very popular. Depending on the destination,
different companies operate the buses, so it is recommended to ask at the ticket counter
of the low-cost bus. Lastly, let us explain about taxis. Since the distance from Narita Airport to the Tokyo area is far, it will cost more than 20,000 yen to travel to Tokyo by taxi. The fare is high, so we wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s better to use it
only if you have no other means of transportation, such as when you arrive at the airport in the early morning
or late at night. Shared taxis, which are used by multiple people,
are recommended because they offer more reasonable fares
compared to regular ones. By the way, with this shared taxi company, you can travel from Shinjuku Station to Narita Airport
in about 100 minutes for 5,980 yen. The links to the websites of each service
we introduced are in the description box. This is the end of our introduction to Narita Airport. Next is Haneda Airport. Haneda Airport has 3 terminals,
so let’s introduce them one by one. First, let’s start with Terminal 1. There is an arrival lobby on the 1st floor
and a departure lobby on the 2nd floor. Terminal 1 has only domestic flights,
with no international flights. It’s a large building from the basement floor to the 6th floor,
so let’s start by introducing it from the lower floors. On the basement floor, there are ticket gates for trains
that go to the main areas of Tokyo. There are 2 types of trains to Tokyo,
so we’ll explain them in detail later. On the basement floor, there is a Lawson and a food court. This food court has 6 restaurants
and is bustling with many people. Among them, especially recommended is Yoshikami,
which has its main store in Asakusa. The most popular menu item is Omu-hayashi,
which is an omurice topped with hashed beef. The fluffy eggs and rich hashed beef are a perfect match. The rice has a buttery sweetness. Next to the food court, there is RingerHut. It’s a specialty shop for Chanpon,
a dish where noodles are cooked in pork bone soup. You can taste the flavors of vegetables, pork,
and shrimp in the pork bone soup of Chanpon. The noodles have a thick and chewy texture. Another popular dish is Sara-Udon, where thin fried noodles
are topped with vegetables in a thick sauce. The crispy texture of the noodles is addictive. It’s also recommended to order fried rice. You can enjoy authentic flavors at an affordable price. This is the 1st floor where the arrival lobby is located. There is a UNIQLO on this floor. This store isn’t spacious,
but it’s very convenient because it has many popular items. Next up is First Cabin. It’s the only accommodation facility in Terminal 1. The rooms are capsule-type
and can be used starting from 2 hours. There is also a large public bath. Not widely known, but there is a shrine next to First Cabin. Let’s pray for safe flights. We have arrived on the 2nd floor,
where the departure lobby is located. There are many souvenir shops and restaurants. First, we’ll introduce Haneda Sanchokukan. This is a shop that opened in December 2023, gathering delicious food from various regions of Japan. You’ll find a wide variety of Japanese sake. If you want to enjoy sake casually,
the 1Coin BAR is recommended. You can enjoy 3 types of sake or Japanese wine for 500 yen. Cow Cow Ice is also a popular shop,
located next to Haneda Sanchokukan. One especially recommended item is the soft serve ice cream
topped with milk cheesecake and cookies. The crispy cookie and the rich milk flavor of the soft serve
go well together. The milk cheesecake is fluffy and melts in your mouth. The most popular souvenir shop on this floor
is NEWYORK PERFECT CHEESE. We’ll introduce their most popular item. It’s a snack where fluffy milk cream and white chocolate
with cheddar cheese are wrapped in a cookie infused with Gouda cheese. It has a pleasant aroma of cheese. The cream and chocolate with cheese melt in your mouth. It’s rich and has an addictive flavor. At Tokyo Food Products, there is a special cake
that you can only buy at Haneda Airport. It’s a limited quantity Maple Pound Cake. The lemon peel and maple syrup
are soaked in the caramel-flavored dough. It has a moist texture and just the right amount of sweetness. From the 3rd to the 6th floor,
there are apparel brands and restaurants. The Starbucks on the 5th floor
is a perfect place to take a break. You can watch the planes take off
and land right in front of you. There are exclusive tumblers, only available at Haneda Airport. On the 6th floor,
there is an observation deck bustling with many people. You can take the stairs to get to the rooftop. It’s the highest observation deck at Haneda Airport,
so it offers great views. Next up is Terminal 2. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
are connected by an underground passage, and you can walk between them in about 5 minutes. Terminal 2 has both domestic and international flights. There is the domestic arrival lobby on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has the domestic departure lobby
and the international arrival lobby. There is the international departure lobby on the 3rd floor. There is a train ticket gate on the basement floor. On this floor, there is also a McDonald’s. You can enjoy the burgers that are only available in Japan,
so give them a try! There is Marugame Udon, which has the highest
number of stores in Japan, located next to McDonald’s. The udon is affordable, and there are various types available. It’s popular because it’s inexpensive and delicious. On the 2nd to 5th floors, there are various shops,
so we’ll introduce a recommended restaurant. It’s Ganso Sushi on the 3rd floor. You can enjoy sushi made by sushi chefs
starting from 143 yen. It’s affordable and offers authentic flavors. On the 2nd floor, there is a Pokémon vending machine. There are exclusive items available only at the airport. This terminal also has an observation deck. It’s recommended for taking a break
because there are more tables compared to Terminal 1. You can also see the airplanes from indoors. Next up is Terminal 3. By the way, at Haneda Airport, you can travel
between the 3 terminals for free using a shuttle bus. The buses come about every 5 to 7 minutes,
so there is not much waiting. Terminal 3 is the newest terminal, built in 2010. It’s exclusively for international flights,
with about 230 flights taking off and landing each day. In addition to restaurants and souvenir shops,
it also has many attractions. Before introducing recommendations for Terminal 3,
we’ll introduce the Haneda Airport Garden. It’s a complex commercial facility
directly connected to Terminal 3 and opened in January 2023. Besides souvenir shops,
there are also a drugstore and stationery store. There is a hotel, and a hot spring on its top floor. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel,
you can use the hot spring, so be sure to check it out! On the 2nd floor, there is a place called Haneda-Sando. There are many Japanese-style souvenirs,
such as cute kokeshi dolls and Hello Kitty maneki-neko. Next up is PAPABUBBLE. It’s a handmade candy shop. You can watch candy-making right in front of you. Next up is TOBI・BITO SWEETS TOKYO. It’s a shop that gathers snacks and sweets from all over Japan. You can buy Kit Kats that are limited edition
in various regions of Japan. Among them, the Kit Kat packed in a box
shaped like Mount Fuji is highly recommended. The flavor is strawberry cheesecake. There are many other varieties, so try to find your favorite one! Next is Heijoen, a yakiniku restaurant. It’s great to eat in the restaurant,
but this time we’ll introduce a dish exclusive to takeout. It’s inari sushi, which wraps rice in fried tofu,
and is topped with wagyu. The yakiniku sauce and wagyu fat soak into the rice,
giving it a rich flavor. It melts in your mouth and is incredibly delicious. Next is the Hokkaido Kurashi Hyakkaten,
where you can find various products from Hokkaido. The most popular item at this shop is the soft serve ice cream. It’s made with milk from Hokkaido, so it has rich flavor. It has a sweetness but the aftertaste is refreshing. Next up is Yabaton, a specialty restaurant for miso katsu. We recommend the Misokatsu-don,
which is topped with freshly fried tonkatsu over the rice. The combination of sweet and spicy miso sauce
and tonkatsu is a perfect match. It has a rich flavor, so it goes well with the rice. Next up is Miyabi, a luxury bakery with its main store in Kyoto. Their bread is great too, but we especially recommend
their rusk coated with white chocolate as a souvenir. The sweetness of white chocolate and butter
spreads throughout your mouth. Next up is Mosuke Dango, a Japanese confectionery shop. One of their popular items is Tora-yaki,
which features a batter with a tiger pattern. Inside, you’ll find Shiro-an made from simmered
white kidney beans and sweetened with sugar. Next up is Saryo-Suisen, a Japanese confectionery store. There are wide variety of items,
but dango is particularly recommended. It’s topped with matcha paste and gold leaf,
making it luxurious. The subtle bitterness from the matcha adding a nice accent. Let’s head back to Terminal 3. We have arrived at the 2nd floor,
where the arrival lobby is located. On this floor, there are the ticket gates for the Keikyu Line
and the Tokyo Monorail. At the Tokyo Monorail ticket machines,
you can purchase a Welcome Suica. The machines shut down at 12:16 AM,
so if you’re arriving late at night, keep that in mind. On the 2nd floor, there is a NINJA Wi-Fi, a Wi-Fi rental shop. You can rent a Wi-Fi router
that covers almost all areas of Japan at an affordable price, so we recommend it. There is a 20% off coupon code, so feel free to use it. The link to the official website and the coupon code
are in the description box. On this floor, there are also shower rooms available. You can use it for 30 minutes at 1,500 yen even
without a reservation. It’s perfect for people taking long flights. Next up is the 5th floor. There is an observation deck on this floor. You can see the planes even closer than from the observation decks
in the 2 terminals we introduced earlier. We’ll introduce a popular sandwich from EXPASA Cafe Haneda,
located right near the observation deck area. This is a tonkatsu sandwich,
with a pork cutlet sandwiched between baguette. The baguette is crispy,
and the tonkatsu is juicy with just the right amount of fat. On this floor, there is SORADONKI operated by Don Quijote. There are many exclusive items and snacks
that you can only find at Don Quijote. Galbo CHOCO, which has an exquisite texture,
is highly recommended. Next to SORADONKI, there is a photo booth called PURIKURA,
and a vending machine of Disney merchandise. Next, we’ll introduce 5 recommended restaurants
in Terminal 3. First up is Saryo ITOEN. This shop is operated by a Japanese tea company
and has a very cool Japanese-style atmosphere inside. We’ll introduce their special soft serve ice cream. It’s topped with rolled cookies, shiratama dumpling, and sweet red bean paste on the matcha-flavored soft serve. The shiratama dumpling has a chewy texture
that goes well with the sweet red bean paste. The matcha-flavored soft serve has a subtle sweetness
and slight bitterness from the matcha. It has an elegant taste. Next up is Onigiri Konga. It’s a specialty shop for onigiri supervised by Bongo,
which is the world-famous onigiri shop in Otsuka, Tokyo. This time, we’ll introduce the top 2 popular onigiri. In 2nd place, it’s the salmon and salmon roe,
and in 1st place, it’s the minced chicken and egg yolk. The combination of slightly fatty salmon
and the salty salmon roe is a perfect match. The sweet simmered minced chicken and creamy egg yolk
make it even more delicious. You can enjoy authentic onigiri, so it’s worth trying. Next up is MOS & CAFÉ. It’s a burger shop originating from Japan. The Teriyaki Burger has a pleasant aroma of sweet sauce. Plenty of lettuce goes well with mayonnaise. We also recommend the Rice Burger,
which sandwiches grilled meat with rice. The beef that is seasoned with the sweet
and savory sauce has fat and melts in your mouth. The Tonkatsu burger is satisfying to eat. The plenty of cabbage adds a nice accent. The most popular burger is the MOS Burger with tomato
and meat sauce. The combination of the juicy patty
and the tartness of the tomato is incredibly delicious. Next up is Tsurutontan. It’s a high-end udon specialty restaurant
originating from Japan, with locations in New York and Boston as well. There are various types of udon available, but this time,
we’ll introduce the particularly popular Kamatama Udon. It’s a beautiful udon topped with soft-scrambled egg, yolk,
and bonito flakes. Once you add green onions, ginger, and soy sauce
and mix it all together, it’s ready to eat! The noodles have a chewy texture that is addictive. The egg is creamy, and the aroma of bonito flakes is great. In addition to udon noodles,
there is another recommended dish. It’s a conger eel sushi. It melts in your mouth right away! The sweet sauce and the spiciness of wasabi
are a perfect match. The last restaurant is Yoshinoya,
which is famous for the beef bowls. At Yoshinoya in Terminal 3,
there is a special menu item not available at other stores. It’s the Kuroge Wagyu Jyu,
which is topped with Wagyu on the rice. It has a sweet and pleasant aroma of sauce. The Wagyu is marbled, and it melts in your mouth. The sauce has a fruity and rich flavor,
making it go well with the rice. It’s a little pricey compared to other menu items, but it’s a special dish not found at other stores,
so it’s worth trying. Next, we’ll explain how to get to the main area of Tokyo
from the airport. You can take a taxi or bus,
but this time we’ll introduce the 2 types of trains: the Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail. The ticket gates for the Keikyu Line and Tokyo Monorail
are available at all 3 terminals of Haneda Airport, so you can take them from any terminal. The travel time to the stations on the Yamanote Line,
which runs through the center of Tokyo, is as short as 18 minutes for the Tokyo Monorail
and 14 minutes for the Keikyu Line. The fare is 519 yen for the Tokyo Monorail
and 327 yen for the Keikyu Line. The Keikyu Line, which offers cheaper fares and faster travel, may seem like the better option,
but there are some points to note. The Keikyu Line also has trains bound for Yokohama. If you accidentally take it,
you’ll head in the opposite direction of Tokyo. The Tokyo Monorail is easier to understand. The Keikyu Line tends to be more crowded
than the Tokyo Monorail because it operates fewer trains. There are luggage spaces in the Tokyo Monorail,
but the Keikyu Line does not. If you have a lot of luggage or want to avoid crowds,
it’s better to take the Tokyo Monorail. However, if you want to go to Asakusa or Tokyo Skytree, taking the Keikyu Line is convenient
because you can get there without any transfer. It depends on the time you take the train,
so it’s better to look it up on Google in advance. Finally, we’ll share one more point to note. You can’t use Japan Rail Pass on the Keikyu Line. By the way, you can use it on the Tokyo Monorail. If you have purchased a Japan Rail Pass, it’s recommended to go to Hamamatsucho Station
via the Tokyo Monorail and then transfer to other trains. Now, let me show you some great places to visit
near Haneda Airport. The first recommended place is located at Tenku-bashi Station, just one stop from Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station,
a 1-minute ride. We’ll introduce HANEDA INNOVATION CITY,
located just in front of Exit A1. It’s a mixed-use commercial complex
that opened in November 2023. We’ll introduce 4 recommended spots here. First up is the foot bath. To get to the rooftop where the foot bath is located,
take the dedicated elevator. The foot bath is free to use
and is open from 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM. You can see Haneda Airport right in front of you,
so it’s a great spot for taking photos of planes. On this floor, there are vending machines
that sell towels with the Haneda Innovation City logo, so even if you don’t have a towel,
you can still enjoy the foot bath. Next up is LUXURY FLIGHT on the 2nd floor. This is the first interactive experience facility in Japan
providing a fighter jet flight experience. There are 3 flight simulators,
each with a different type of fighter jet. Prices start at 3,850 yen for a 15-minute session. The controls can be a bit challenging, but the staff will be right there to assist you,
so even beginners can enjoy the experience. If you become more advanced, you can fly over Mt. Fuji or have a flight experience like the ones in Top Gun: Maverick. At LUXURY FLIGHT, you can also enjoy shopping, with various items for sale in addition to the flight simulators. Next up is AI_SCAPE. This is a futuristic restaurant operated
by the motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki Heavy Industries where everything, from cooking to serving, is done by robots. Now, let’s order and watch the cooking in action. By scanning the QR code on the table, selecting a menu item, and completing the payment,
the cooking robots will start preparing your food automatically. All the rice and instant curry heating is done by robots. The robot will bring your food to the seat
where you placed your order. A dedicated robot will also make your drinks. A set menu with rice, salad, and curry is 1,500 yen. This is instant curry,
but it has great flavor and the spiciness is just right. You can also take photos and videos,
so be sure to check it out! Next up is HANEDA SKY BREWING. This is a bar where you can enjoy a carefully curated selection
of craft beers from all over Japan. They always have more than 10 different types
of beer available. The top recommendation is their soy sauce-flavored dark beer. It has a subtle soy sauce aroma and a salty taste, but it’s easy to drink and has a flavor
that gives you a taste of Japan. This beer pairs really well with freshly baked Margherita pizza. The house-made dough is made a bit thinner
so it pairs well with drinks. The sweet and sour tomato sauce,
melting mozzarella cheese, and fragrant basil come together perfectly,
making it absolutely delicious! By the way, there is also a hotel operated by
Keikyu EX Inn Hotel Group inside Haneda Innovation City. There is another Keikyu EX Inn just about a 5-minute walk away,
so be sure to check it out. Now, let’s head to the next spot. The next place is Anamori Inari Shrine. It’s located near Anamori Inari Station, just one stop away from Tenku-bashi Station
and only a 1-minute ride by train. It’s a 3-minute walk from the station to the shrine. This is Anamori Inari Shrine. This shrine, established around the 1800s,
is believed to bring blessings such as family safety and business prosperity. It’s open year-round, and admission is free. Next to the main hall, you’ll find Senbon Torii,
a path lined with many torii gates. You can experience an atmosphere like Fushimi Inari Shrine
in Kyoto, and it’s a perfect spot for photos. As you walk along the path lined with torii gates,
you’ll find stairs further ahead. If you go up the stairs, you’ll find another place to pray,
so be sure to check it out! The pine tree with its wide-spreading branches
is really impressive. Inside the building, you’ll find charms and other items for sale,
making it a great place to buy souvenirs. There is also an English version of the omikuji available. Now, let’s head to the next place. Next up is Tonkatsu Aoki. It’s located near Keikyu Kamata Station, 3 stops away from Anamori Inari Station,
about a 5-minute ride by train. Exit the west gate of Keikyu Kamata Station, walk through the shopping street right in front of you
for about 5 minutes, and you’ll arrive. This is Tonkatsu Aoki, a specialty tonkatsu restaurant. It opened in Kamata in 2010
and it’s so popular that there is often a line during lunchtime. The 1st floor has only counter seating, but the 2nd floor offers table seating,
making it perfect for groups. English menus are also available, so don’t worry. The ticket vending machine accepts credit cards as well. Now, let’s try 2 of the popular dishes at this restaurant. First up is the Special Pork Loin Cutlet Set Meal,
the most popular dish. This thick-cut tonkatsu is made with Hayashi SPF,
a premium brand of pork. It has a savory aroma of fat. It’s delicious with sauce,
but it’s recommended to try it with salt. The crispy coating and tender meat
make it absolutely irresistible! The fat has a natural sweetness,
and the rich pork flavor fills your mouth. Once you try it, it’s so delicious you’ll never forget it! The katsudon made with this tonkatsu is also a must-try. It’s a dish where the tonkatsu
is simmered with a soy-based broth and eggs, then placed on top of rice. The egg has a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the crunchy texture and sweet flavor of the onion
add a nice touch. You should definitely try both! By the way, this store also has a location
at Haneda Innovation City, which I mentioned earlier. Now, let’s move on to the next place. Next up is Kawasaki Daishi. To get to Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple, take a train from Keikyu Kamata Station
and get off at Keikyu Kawasaki Station. After going down the stairs, transfer to the Keikyu Daishi Line. After a 5-minute ride, get off at Kawasaki Daishi Station,
which is 3 stops away. Exit through the south gate, cross the intersection,
and walk for about 5 minutes. This is the temple. It’s believed to bring blessings to ward off misfortune,
and it was founded in 1128. Especially from the New Year through January,
it gets very crowded with visitors, with around 3 million people coming every year. The purification fountain, where you wash your hands
with water, is shaped like a lotus flower. As you go further, you’ll find the main hall. The main hall is open to visitors,
where you can pray by offering money in the offering box. A short walk from the main hall,
you’ll find the octagonal five-story pagoda. It’s a red-painted building,
about the same height as a 13-story building. Beyond the pagoda,
you’ll find a pond with a red bridge crossing over it. In the middle of the pond, there is a fountain where water flows from the mouth of a crane statue,
giving you a sense of Japanese atmosphere. After crossing the bridge, you’ll find a golden Buddha statue. At Kawasaki Daishi, you can draw an omikuji for 100 yen, and there are also charms and other items for sale. Now, let’s introduce 3 recommended shops
near Kawasaki Daishi. First up is Kuzumochi Honpo Sumiyoshi,
located right at the entrance of Kawasaki Daishi. It’s a Japanese sweets shop that has been around since 1917. There are many different kinds of sweets,
and we’ll introduce Kuzumochi, the shop’s most popular item. Kuzumochi is a Japanese sweet
made from fermented wheat starch, and is eaten with black sugar syrup and soybean flour. It has a chewy, bouncy texture, like mochi. The sweetness of the black sugar syrup
and the aroma of the soybean flour goes well together. Next is Ohtani-do, a specialty shop for warabi mochi. Take-out warabi mochi is popular,
but we’ll try their Kamaage warabi mochi, which is only available for eating at the store. Typically, warabi mochi is served cold,
but you can enjoy it warm and freshly made here. Like the Kuzumochi we mentioned earlier, it’s sprinkled with soybean flour
and drizzled with black sugar syrup. The texture is soft and melt-in-your-mouth,
with the sweetness of the black sugar syrup filling your mouth. The warm, smooth texture is irresistible! Finally, we’ll introduce Amaiwa,
located about a 5-minute walk from Kawasaki Daishi. It opened in 2019 and specializes in roasted sweet potatoes
and sweet potato desserts. The shop is so popular
that it has been featured on many TV programs. Their roasted sweet potatoes are slowly cooked for
about 2 hours in a special clay pot filled with charcoal. Let’s start with 3 types of roasted sweet potatoes. First up is the Beniharuka. The texture is rich and creamy. It’s so sweet that you’d think sugar was added,
with a flavor almost like a dessert. Next up is the Annou-imo. It looks similar to a potato, but it’s much sweeter. It has a moist texture. Next up is the Halloween Sweet. It’s a sweet potato with a vibrant orange color. It has a pumpkin-like aroma and a smooth texture. It has a sweet and elegant flavor. Personally, I highly recommend the Beniharuka! Finally, we’ll introduce the limited-edition Daigaku-imo,
only available 20 per day. The sweet potatoes are slowly roasted, then lightly fried in oil. Before eating, drizzle a special sweet sauce
and sprinkle some black sesame seeds on top. The sweet sauce has a soy sauce aroma, which pairs perfectly with the smooth texture
of the sweet potatoes. The texture and aroma of black sesame add a nice touch. Everything is really delicious,
so you should definitely give it a try! Narita Airport and Haneda Airport have many places to enjoy, so be sure to stop by when you use these airports!

Just got back from Japan and used both Airports. Haneda is way better in every aspect. New Chitose in Hokkaido is better than both of them. The food options are outstanding.
The busiesty airport in Brazil is Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, it's the largest aiport in the entire Latin América. But it's not so organized like the Japanese aiports. There are lots of restaurants, a Japanese restaurant is included.
Thanks for the video @samurai_junjiro which airport is the most developped one, the biggest one in your opinion Haneda or Narita? Will you also make videos about hiragana and katakana in the future, do you have such plans? Thanks in advance for your answers.
Great. I will be visiting Japan in November
I've been to Narita Airport. I want to go to Kansai Airport and Haneda Airport next time. ✈️❤❤
