福岡-東京🇯🇵の船旅!日本で二番目に長い0泊3日35時間の自動販売機フェリー旅|Japanese ferry trip
Today’s Digest Today’s journey begins at Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture. It is a huge terminal station in Kyushu, as everyone knows. On the day of the photo shoot in June, the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival was being prepared. My partner is a small Shiba Inu named Puri (female, 5 years old). Let’s go on a fun journey. The photo shoot was on June 20, 2025, and it was a very hot day, so I will be careful of heatstroke. This trip is a 35-hour boat trip with a distance of 1151 km from Shin-Moji Port in Fukuoka to Tokyo via Tokushima. It’s a long journey of 35 hours, so let’s stock up on food. This is a bento shop next to the bakery where there is a line. I was able to buy a very beautiful bento, so I’m looking forward to eating it later. First, we take the Shinkansen from Hakata Station to Kokura Station. After seeing off the Kyushu Shinkansen, we board the Nozomi Shinkansen bound for Tokyo. We arrive at Kokura Station. Shinkansen fare: 2,160 yen ($14.92) Arrived at Moji Station, one stop by train. From here, a taxi took me to Shin-Moji Port. 440 yen ($3.04) This time I’m taking the Ocean Tokyu Ferry Shimanto. The total length of the Ocean Tokyu Ferry ship is 191 meters. It’s huge. I’ve already made a reservation online, so I can easily check in at the ticket machine. Thank you for using our service. Let’s talk about money in the lobby. The room price is 20,240 yen ($139.84) plus a pet room fee of 22,990 yen ($158.86). Pet rooms are expensive. Boarding began at 18:30, 30 minutes before departure. The door to a fun trip has opened. It’s an exciting moment. I love the moment when I board the ferry. I get the key to the Ocean Tokyu Ferry Shimanto and let’s go to my room. The pet room is just to the left of the entrance, so I’m very lucky because I have a lot of luggage. It’s open. I had a lot of luggage, so I put the Shiba Inu in the room first. Oh, it’s expensive, so the room is quite spacious. It seems that an enemy suddenly appeared. I went to see it with him, but there was no one there. By the way, the crew member said that there was a souvenir for pets. There was a tulle. I’ll give it to him as a snack later. I looked into my room from outside the room. He’s rustling around by himself. Oh, he’s noticed me. This is Shiba Inu Puri, who suddenly got excited. Let’s put up with Shiba Inu’s farce for a while. I hope you will watch over him kindly. He’s excited to be on the ferry, so his high tension doesn’t end. When I returned to the room, he acted as if nothing had happened. This ferry is called a vending machine ferry. There is no restaurant. Let’s take a look at it slowly later. First, let’s go see how it departs. A cool funnel. The departure time was 7 p.m., but when I noticed, it had departed 5 minutes before. It’s a pity, but let’s try again tomorrow. We will be stopping at Tokushima Port on the way, so that will be the last chance to take a picture of the departure. There is also a heliport. Goodbye Fukuoka. I came here to take a picture of the front of the ferry, but opening the front curtains at night is not allowed. Now, I’m hungry, so let’s have our first dinner. They were selling the soup that I fell in love with the last time I rode. I bought it without hesitation. You must never get the number wrong. Imari’s specialty chicken soup ¥150 ($1.04) I was very lucky because I wanted to try it again. It ‘s very easy to make, just put it in a cup and add hot water. Hot water and water are free. It ‘s very hot, so be careful when handling it. Chopsticks and spoons are provided, so you can rest assured. It’s very helpful that paper cups and tea are also free. You can choose between hot and cold. Now, let’s have a luxurious dinner time in your room. I met the 16-color bento I saw at Hakata Station for 1,200 yen ($8.30) . It goes without saying that it was very gorgeous. There was a hunter aiming for my dinner. Chicken meatballs, potato salad, and rice. Shrimp, fried potatoes , kinpira burdock, simmered fruit, egg omelet, croquette, and shumai. The most delicious soup in the world. Even though it was instant, the chicken flavor and dashi stock were very effective. First, I had mentaiko rice. Boiled shiitake mushrooms. Boiled deep-fried tofu, shrimp , egg omelet, fried fish paste, kinpira burdock, fried chicken , shumai, croquette , mustard greens , rice , meatballs, sweetly boiled sweet potatoes , chicken rice, mandarin oranges , cherries . It seems that he was hungry. Puri’s meal time started. It’s not a speed-eating contest. It’s around 20:00, but we’re still in the sea between Kyushu and the Chugoku region. ¥36,000 has gone down to ¥10,000, so it’s cheap . The dessert after the meal is decided to be ice cream. I’m really not sure what to choose, but which one should I get? It seems that everything is ¥200 ($1.39). The red bean monaka with chestnuts looked delicious. And I came to buy my favorite highball, but oh, the vending machine was out of order. Alcohol, give me some alcohol – thank goodness there was another vending machine for alcohol. Now, let’s go back to the room and the party begins. Asahi dark beer ¥250 ($1.73) Cheers I’ll have red bean monaka as a snack. It’s a very beautiful mochi. It has bean paste and chestnuts inside. There is a child who always comes near me when I’m eating something. Let’s give him a snack. He seems to be unable to wait. He ate it very deliciously. Now, shall we go to bed for today? I have to make my own bed, but it’s easy, just put the pillow in the cover and put the sheets on. It’s about 80 points. But there was a dog looking at me with a very worried look. Let’s take a shower, brush our teeth, and go to bed. Puri swallows the gum without chewing it much. Good night on the first night. Good morning on the second morning. It’s 8:00. The weather is very good, but the wind is very strong. As for where we are now, we’re already pretty close to Tokushima. The long-awaited breakfast has arrived. I think I’m the most hungry dog in the world. It’s my turn for breakfast. I couldn’t help but be curious about this “Spaghetti of Despair.” Apparently it tastes good even when you’re in despair. Let’s try it right away. I’m not in despair, but is it okay? Spaghetti of Despair 850 yen ($5.89) It’s hard. It’s the All-Stars of the Microwave. The alphabet of the vending machine and the microwave are linked. D vending machine products use D microwave oven. It’s very easy because the number is specified. It’s ready in about 3 minutes. The bag looks like it’s about to burst. Is it okay? It seems to be fine . It’s very hot and dangerous. It has a strong garlic smell, so it may be dangerous to eat it in the room. So I decided to eat at a seat by the window with a good view. Let’s try the spaghetti despair = sardines and aromatic vegetables peperoncino . There’s no way you can go wrong with Pietro’s company’s pasta. The garlic is very tasty. It’s a taste full of hope. The soup got on the camera lens. It goes great with the sardines. Time passed slowly, and we arrived at Tokushima Port. We arrived in Tokushima at 9:30, right on schedule. The gangway for cars and trucks was lowered. People bound for Tokyo cannot disembark temporarily, but I am lucky because only those who are walking their pets are allowed to disembark temporarily. We disembarked in Tokushima. Luggage, trucks, and cars are being removed. If you get off at Tokushima, there is a bus to Tokushima. Bus to Tokushima Station ¥250 ($1.73) Departs from in front of the main entrance and takes about 20 minutes to arrive. After the unloading is done, the next step is to bring in the luggage and cars. The Ocean Tokyu Ferry is really big and long when you see it up close. We landed on land for the first time in 14 hours. Our walk is over, and we’re waiting to board again. Now, the second half begins. I’m glad I was able to take a picture of the ferry leaving. The weather is very good, but it looks like there will be strong winds and swells. Goodbye Tokushima. I’d like to go and eat Tokushima ramen again. Under the guidance of the authorities, the fence has been set high to prevent falls and suicides. On windy days, there may be swells. Lunchtime has come. For lunch on the second day, we had omelet rice for 700 yen ($4.84). Be sure to take the product out of the bag and microwave it or it will explode. It takes about 3 and a half minutes to be ready. It’s lonely with just omelet rice, so I bought that soup again. The super hot danger is back. Let’s eat it slowly in our room. The demi-glace sauce and omelet look amazing. The chicken soup chicken rice and egg go perfectly together. There was a child next to me who wanted to eat it. The demi-glace sauce is also very delicious. It was written that it was a popular item. Lunch time for the Shiba Inu. Puri can’t wait. Let’s go buy dessert after the meal. The ice cream is frozen at minus 22 degrees. I decided on this. Pino 200 yen ($1.38) PINO is a very popular ice cream in Japan. It’s hard. Six small sweet meteorites that fell from space. With one bite, this ice cream makes your daily life melt. I looked inside from the outside again. Huh? He’s not there. He was there. And he noticed me. There was no dance of joy. I saw a ferry in the distance, but I didn’t know which ferry it was. The room tour started. It’s a private room, so it can be locked. There is also an air conditioner, so you can stay comfortable. The TV is mainly broadcasting BS. And it reacts slowly. There is a room switch near the entrance. A shelf and a closet for life jackets . Two hangers. A large mirror . Pet rooms often have air purifiers. The refrigerator is empty. There are two single beds. It is a double room, but it can be used by one person. The sheets, blankets, futons, and mattresses are thick enough. This is Puri, a small shiba inu. There is a desk so you can eat. There is also a window so you can enjoy the ocean view. There is a light and an outlet by the pillow. You can charge your smartphone while you sleep. There are also pet supplies and a cage. There are two hooks, which are very convenient. The deodorizing spray is also very helpful. Pets can spend their time freely in the room and make fun memories. Dance of joy Puri suddenly started digging the ferry again. We are going on a tour of the ferry. There is a route guide map so you can see where we are sailing. This ferry only has one floor, so it is easy to move around. There is also an observation deck on the floor above. The information center and shop are closed at some times. There are counter seats by the windows where you can enjoy your meal and the scenery. The main area is Ocean Plaza, where there are many chairs and tables for a lively atmosphere. Let’s take a look at the vending machines . Alcohol vending machine (currently out of order). Snack and snack vending machine. Regular juice vending machine . E vending machine offers pasta, curry rice, omelet rice, ginseng chicken soup, taco rice, and set meals. D vending machine offers sushi, hamburgers, Pietro’s pasta, and more. C vending machine offers shumai, horumon, pork buns, takoyaki, and yakitori. B vending machine offers oranges, kimbap, soba, udon, and rice balls. This one offers snacks, snacks, souvenirs, and bread. A vending machine offers Tokushima ramen, white rice, canned goods, snacks, and soup. There is also a vending machine for cup noodles, which is indispensable on ferries, and a water heater. This is also an indispensable ice cream vending machine on a boat trip. Finally, there are vending machines for beer and alcohol. There is a vending machine for alcohol, but drinking and driving is a big no-no. And there is an all-star microwave. There are plenty of chopsticks and plates. There are plenty of condiments, such as soy sauce, sauce, mayonnaise, chili pepper, salt, and mustard. What is this white thing? Oh, it was the other way around. It was habanero sauce. Chopsticks and soup cups. There is also a regular microwave, so you can warm up your lunchbox. You can choose hot or cold tea and water, and you can drink as much as you like. There are many seats with ocean views by the windows, and a relaxing space is provided. There is also a small game corner. It seems to be mainly slot machines. There are games where you can win prizes, but for some reason the prize was a boat cat from the Hankyu Ferry. It seems that the Hankyu Ferry is a ferry company operated by Ocean Trans Co., Ltd. There was a boat cat again. There is also a kids’ space. Everyone’s favorite Anpanman will welcome you. On both sides of the long corridor, private rooms and shared rooms are lined up. Let’s take a look at the capsule type (shared room) room. It is built like a capsule hotel with two tiers. This room costs 20,460 yen ($141.60) from Fukuoka to Tokyo. It feels like one single bed, but it’s enough for those who just want to sleep. There are also private rooms for two and four people. There is a relaxation space at the front of the ship. And on the right is the men’s large bath, washroom, and toilet. On the left is the women’s large bath, washroom, and toilet. Photography is prohibited in the comfortable bath with a view of the sea. It is a nice large bath like this. There is another vending machine at the front. Here you can purchase daily necessities, toothbrushes, shampoo, towels, lozenges, motion sickness drops, slippers, cosmetics, etc. Next to it are three vending machines for juice, water, tea, coffee, etc. At the very front of the ship is the forward salon, where you can enjoy the view. This forward lobby is always quiet and comfortable. You can enjoy the view from the front of the ship. There is also a coin laundry, so you won’t have any problems even on a long trip. The charge for a small amount of laundry in the drum washing machine is 500 yen ($3.46). Detergent is automatically dispensed, which is helpful. Please note that smoking is prohibited on the ship except in the smoking room. There are also mobile phone charging spots, public telephones, and currency exchange machines. Credit cards and electronic money cannot be used on the ship, so you must carry cash. It is also possible to exchange large bills. You can exchange coins as you like, such as 10,000 yen bills, 9,000 yen bills and 100 yen coins. I tried 10,000 yen bills. There are also coin lockers, the small ones are free and the large ones are 200 yen ($1.38). The small ones can be used to store valuables for people sharing rooms. You can also go out to the deck from this floor. You can enjoy the ocean. The shop has opened, so let’s go and check it out. The shop is small, but there were a few souvenirs from Fukuoka, Tokushima, and Tokyo. If you want to buy a lot of souvenirs, it’s better to buy them at the nearest station. There was a Gofune-in gallery. The time for the last supper has come. Why do I want to eat cup ramen when I’m on a ferry? I chose the normal (soy sauce flavor) cup noodles. Cup noodles ¥250 ($1.73) There is a hot water heater set next to the automatic ticket machine. I turn on the hot water switch and like plenty of hot water. This is also extremely hot, so “mishandling = chaos. I carry it carefully so as not to spill the soup. I have to put the lid on and wait about three minutes, but I like hard noodles so I eat it in two minutes. Since it’s my last meal, I want to eat it while looking at the ocean. The Cup Noodles with all the beautiful sea ingredients look great. After all, no matter what anyone says, this Cup Noodles is the best. Eating it on the sea makes it twice as delicious. The ingredients, egg and shrimp, this meat is called mystery meat. Make sure to separate your garbage before throwing it away. Puri is also my last supper. If you feel you are lacking in vegetables or vitamins, I recommend buying vegetables and fruit. He really wanted a puri, so I gave him a little banana. I wanted to see the sunset, but it’s cloudy and looks like it’s not going to be possible. It’s all down to luck, so there’s nothing I can do about it. What a shame. For some reason, he doesn’t want to eat the dental gum that day. I’ll be arriving early tomorrow morning at 6am, so I’ll go to bed early tonight. Good night, day 2. Good morning on the third day. I woke up at 3am. As for where we are now, we’re about to enter Tokyo Bay. By the way, you can’t go out on the deck at night or during bad weather. I have a little time, so let’s give you some breakfast. We’ve entered Tokyo Bay. What island is that bridge over? If you know, please let me know in the comments. We arrived at Ariake in Tokyo at around 5:30am. Haneda Airport is nearby, so there are planes flying. Thank you Ocean Tokyu Ferry for bringing us safely. You can take a bus from Tokyo Ariake Port to Tokyo Station. 350 yen ($2.42) We arrived at Tokyo Station in about 30 minutes. We still have some more travels to do today. We took the famous Enoshima Electric Railway to Kamakura Station. First, we went for a snack on Komachi-dori. We stopped in front of a shop where Puri was. Does Puri want to work at Mameshiba Cafe? Speaking of Kamakura, whitebait is famous, so we bought Shonan whitebait omelet. 450 yen ($3.11) Shonan croquette 250 yen ($1.73) We arrived at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is said to bring various benefits, such as luck in games, luck at work, career advancement, safe childbirth, and matchmaking. After praying, we got back on the Enoshima Electric Railway. The Enoshima Electric Railway was packed to capacity, so we couldn’t get on. It took quite a while to get there. The sense of localness and distance from the houses is irresistible. The excitement of starting a tour of Enoshima, the holy land of the anime “Slam Dunk” ! Pri seems to be very happy too. We ordered a luxurious two-color bowl that allows you to enjoy both raw and boiled whitebait, a specialty of Enoshima, at the same time. Freshness is the key to raw whitebait in Enoshima, and you can feel the freshness that you can only get here. The boiled whitebait has a soft and fluffy texture. It is salty, but adding a little soy sauce makes it even more delicious. This is the famous Kinokuniya main store’s “Enoshima specialty Meoto manju” shop. The “Meoto manju” is a bun filled with plenty of homemade bean paste that is hand-kneaded. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of us eating it. And this is the Asahi main store of “Maruyaki Tako Senbei”, a shop that always has a long line. There are many varieties, but the standard octopus crackers are 500 yen ($3.45). The size of the crackers is this. Finally, I finally met my long-awaited octopus crackers. They were thinner and flimsier than I expected. They are made by pressing a large octopus and baking it, so the shape of the octopus is the cracker. Now, let’s go to the shrine. The view from above was so beautiful that it blew away my fatigue. When I turned around, I saw the stone statue of Benzaiten Doji at the back of the Zuishinmon Gate . Puri was very energetic. I also prayed at Enoshima Shrine. The sea was rough, but I headed to Enoshima Iwaya Cave. The entrance fee to the cave was 500 yen ($3.45). There are free candle rentals, so I went by candlelight. Inside the cave, it was very fantastic, with Jizo statues, stone statues, and small shrines. From here on, entry is prohibited. The birthplace of Enoshima Shrine . This has a mysterious atmosphere that I have never seen before. Pets were allowed to enter if they were in a carrier case. However, Puri wanted to walk by herself. The Enoshima sightseeing boat was canceled due to this storm. What a shame. There are two caves in the cave, the first and the second. There is a dragon god in the second cave, so we came to meet him. It seems that something will happen if you clap your hands in front of the dragon god. Apparently, the dragon god will respond if you clap your hands. Everyone was clapping their hands really loudly. Let’s go meet the dragon god. He may grant your wish like Shenron in Dragon Ball. I wanted to clap my hands many times and stay for a long time, but there was a line, so I’ll end it here. I’m going back from Katase Enoshima Station in Ryugu-jo Castle. Next, I came to Asakusa. I love Nakamise-dori in Asakusa. You can feel the “weight of history” as one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan. There were a lot of Shiba Inu dogs. You can see Tokyo Skytree from Nakamise-dori. Speaking of Asakusa, it’s ningyoyaki. There was a line for Asakusa minced meat cutlet, so I decided to buy it. The Asakusa minced meat cutlet was 350 yen (2.42 yen), crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. There are many things to see at Sensoji Temple, including the five-story pagoda. It is more popular with foreign tourists than Japanese people. The last stop on this trip was Ueno Ameyoko Shopping Street. You can buy gourmet food, groceries, fashion, shoes, bags, and more at the shopping street. I was hungry, so I went to the Chinese food stall that looked the most delicious. The first dish was beef fried rice, 800 yen (5.52 yen), a little unique in taste, but very delicious. The plum juice, 200 yen (1.38 yen), was also great. Since it was a street-front shop, I was able to bring some puri with me. The second dish was a braised pork hotpot for 800 yen ($5.52). It was by far the most delicious braised pork I’ve ever eaten. Thank you very much for watching this long video to the end. Where should I go next?
