I thoroughly enjoyed the “Beppu Eight Hot Springs Festival”. Of the Beppu Eight Hot Springs, six remain . 5:16am “Beppu Municipal Matogahama Parking Lot” Good morning.The weather is bad today, so there is no morning activity, so I started my tour of the Beppu Eight Hot Springs in the morning.It is an 8-minute walk from Matogahama Parking Lot.Of the Beppu Eight Hot Springs, the fourth is Beppu Onsen “Kaimonji Onsen” .I enjoyed it for 250 yen.The fourth is Kaimonji Onsen. *Water quality* Hydrogen carbonated springI found a giant Tengu in the shopping district! His nostrils are so big I couldn’t help but walk around it.I wonder if a girl will ride on top of him and parade around in tomorrow’s “Yubukkake Festival”? That may be true , and about an 8 minute walk from there you will find the famous “Takegawara Onsen”. The fifth of the Beppu Eight Hot Springs is Beppu Onsen “Takegawara Onsen”. I wanted to go into the sand bath, but the wait was quite long so I went into a regular hot spring for 300 yen. The fifth hot spring is Takegawara Onsen. *Water quality* Chloride spring, bicarbonate spring. It was a very, very pleasant bath while chatting with other tourists, and it was a lovely morning. The Beppu Eight Hot Springs are the collective name for eight hot spring resorts. Hamawaki Onsen, Beppu Onsen, Kankaiji Onsen, Hotta Onsen, Myoban Onsen, Tetsuwan Onsen, Shibashi Onsen, Kamekawa Onsen. Akio had three rice balls, and I had a rice ball and side dish set for breakfast. This time on our Kyushu car camping trip, we are traveling around Oita Prefecture, Miyazaki Prefecture, and Kagoshima Prefecture . Last time, we crossed the Kanmon Bridge and landed in Kyushu!? In Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, we compared the taste of local fried chicken, purified our mind and body at Usa Shrine, and entered the hot spring paradise of Beppu City.Today , we want to start the day off with something refreshing and delicious at Beppu Hot Springs!? So that’s right, we’re heading to eat Oita’s specialty, “Sekiaji Sekisaba”Wow ! Amazing!? There are so many cars parked! ! How was it? Sekiaji and Sekisabakan Yes! It was delicious. The horse mackerel was definitely Sekiaji. It had a firm texture, I think. The seafood bowl had sea bream and yellowtail today, right? Is it yellowtail? Maybe it’s a little different? It was light for a yellowtail !? I think it does. It’s a yellowtail that lives in the sea in a warm place . I see, I see, it was warm this year, so maybe that’s why? I don’t know. Anyway , it seems there’s a place called the Sekiaji and Sekisaba direct sales store, so I’ll stop by for dinner tonight♪ I’ll have a seafood bowl, and then fish again for dinner. Lately I’ve been eating fried chicken, chicken tempura, and other meat-based foods, so I think I’ll have fish today. Shall I cook rice today? Let’s head to the direct sales store. We got there in a minute! That’s it! It says it over there! A big sign. Oh… It might be closed!? It looks like it’s closed… I’ll go a little closer and check, but there’s no sign outside? Is the direct sales store fresh fish open? We’re open♪ That’s good♪ Today we have Seki mackerel, Seki horse mackerel, sashimi, nigiri sushi, frozen black porgy, and scallops. So what’s written above is raw! I’m off now♪ I’m glad I bought some. It seems that the second Saturday is their regular closing day. It’s not that far, so if you’re coming this way, it’s worth stopping by. Sekiaji and Sekisaba direct sales store. The sashimi was cheap . I wonder if it’s a fishing cooperative. They said it was marinated this morning. They also sold nigiri sushi, and the processed products were the same as those sold at the roadside station and the restaurant earlier . This Kurome is really famous. They said that frozen Kurome is limited to 5 per person due to a shortage of stock. “Seki Kurome” is a precious seaweed that has a harvest limit from mid-January to mid-March. I changed my miso soup to the Kurome version, so it’s super sticky like wakame seaweed. I wanted to take a picture of the sign at the ferry terminal. That’s right♪ I’d like to take this ferry too! This is the one that goes to Ehime. Well, maybe next time! ? Next time! ? To get to Kyushu, I walked through the pedestrian tunnel the other day, and the national highway tunnel, but I haven’t gone through that tunnel again, and I took the Kanmon Bridge on the highway the other day, but there’s the National Highway 94 Ferry from Ehime, so I’d like to take that. I haven’t taken the Sunflower from Beppu yet, and I haven’t taken the Hankyu Ferry from Shin -Moji , so I wonder how many more times I have to come here? But somehow, I haven’t finished touring Kyushu yet , and I haven’t been to Fukuoka at all, so I only went to Itoshima. It might be more convenient to fly and rent a car, but I wanted to go trekking in Aso too, before I retire! Will my legs be okay? Me?! Now, let’s go back to Beppu, where we’ll be staying for the night. Kamekawa Onsen “RV Park Kamekawa Marina Terrace” No power, 3,500 yen. After checking in at the shop, we get a key. The night-time toilets are a system that you can’t enter without a key, and of course, they’re very clean. They can be opened with a special key for the hot springs and entered. Of course, you can enter as much as you like during your stay. Now, let’s prepare the bed. People coming to eat also use the parking lot, so we’ll put up a shade and create a private space. Oh!? I’m running out of time, so I’ll go. Before the shop closes, I’ll have some “coffee milk soft serve”. Even though it’s before dinner, I ended up buying it lol. Akio went out to the convenience store to buy some beer. Yay~♪ If we don’t cook rice for the soft serve ice cream, we’ll get in trouble!? Today I kept it modest, and had burdock tempura udon. Even with the speed of the fire, the field burn spread and ended. Parking is prohibited for lengths of 5m or more and widths of 2m or more . We’ve arrived♪ Bungomori Station is over there ! This side is the “Old Bungomori Engine Shed” and it’s over there. I parked in the municipal parking lot right next to Bungomori Station. Parking is free for 2 hours , so let’s go. It’s the stairs, yes! I’m looking down. “A town of steam locomotives with a nostalgic feel”. Even at the entrance to “Bungomori Engine Shed Park”, the glass on the top is broken! That’s right, the bottom is broken too, right ? That’s right! For those who like ruins, it’s irresistible. It seems to be the model for “Suzume no Tojiri”, the only remaining roundhouse in Kyushu . It was a park that seemed like a good place to relax and eat lunch. And by chance, I was able to see the “Yufuin no Mori Express”. The reason I stayed in Beppu for about 4 days was to participate in the “Yubukkake Festival” ♪ This event is the finale of the Beppu Onsen Festival!
