🤔¿El pueblo MÁS GALÉS de Sudamérica? 🏴 [Visitamos TREVELIN y ESQUEL] 🐉 EP.148
Good morning! We woke up in Esquel. We arrived yesterday after a couple of hours’ drive from El Bolsón and spent the night here at Laguna Z, which is just 10 minutes from town and is a nature reserve in the municipality of Esquel. The plan for today is to walk around Esquel a little bit and get closer to Travelin, we came all the way to this area of Patagonia because we want to get to know the Los Alerthers National Park so we’re also going to go to the information office to find out a little bit about how to do it and what can we see inside the park let’s see we’re going to tell you a little secret we’re about to open the video here at the lagoon and suddenly Luna lets go and what happened Ang went running after a lapwing and it turns out she thought the mud was firm and she jumped into the mud and almost drowned and ended up covered in mud and not only happy with that now she’s rolling around trying to make herself a milanesa look at her look at her my god look please she’s not soaked dirty what are you doing look how you are and now what oh God no don’t jump on me breadcrumbs look at milanesa my god and we had bathed her yesterday the day before yesterday the day before yesterday it was like that nothing’s going to happen to put her head in the water again because she will have swallowed more mud than Here on the shore it’s like a swamp what a splash it took what platoon holy god thought it was firm clearly it wasn’t it wasn’t a lah Okay, we’re already in the center of Skel we’re going to take a quick walk but first things first we’re stopping at the tourist center to ask well let’s see if it’s open first of all to ask how things are because recently a few days ago another fire started around here in the Albert National Park the park specifically directly so we don’t know if any access is cut off well we’re going to ask to see how things are because the idea is to go there tomorrow of course so we’ll see if it’s open and well if not we’ll call later [Music] your te say words I’ve heard them all before [Music] [Applause] [Music] every time I hug Ang she turns around the sleeping dog wakes up and starts making noise because she’s jealous she’s a jealous little jealous one oh jealous little jealous one tell people what you want eh you’re in the middle right there is the jealousy wants affection too and my love like that too give it affection beautiful you oh she wants affection too she wants it look at the little hand she’s happy now we want to take this moment to talk about a rather tedious subject that we’ve suffered for almost 3 years the internet and that is that every time we cross a border the same thing always happens we are left without internet just when we need it the most it’s a classic in all types of trips you arrive at a new destination you have to check where you’re going to sleep look something up on the map simply let your family know that you arrived safely and you find that you don’t have internet on your phone and everything becomes a little more chaotic today going on vacation and having internet on your phone is key because you’re walking through a new city consulting the map checking out the restaurants you find staying in touch with your people and all this without depending on other people’s wifis well we found a solution for this loose end Sail what it is basically is a virtual SIM with which you’re going to save time on your life you won’t need to carry physical chips or go looking for kiosks to buy in unknown places or take the skewer to open your phone everywhere you simply download the sale app you select the destination you are going to, load the data plan you want and that suits your needs and activate it, ready you arrive with internet from the first minute seily has coverage in more than 190 countries you download it once both on Android and iOS and it is already installed for your trips, it has 247 support in case you have any inconvenience and the prices of the packs are already quite good but for you who are part of this wonderful community we are going to give you a discount code with the word Pangea you will have a 15% discount we are going to leave the link in the description so you can come in and check out and choose your pack when you need it they gave you a map they gave me a map with what you like they told me for Angel, a map they told me the good news is that the focus of the fires is a little bit out of the way so everything is enabled everything can be done eh prices local 7,000 foreign 20,000 what we are going to see in the southern area a little bit of smoke but there is no danger there will be personnel working but there is no inconvenience regarding the fire so well we can make the itinerary we want there is a free campsite where we can spend the night that would be nice but there are four plots but he said that there is no problem if they are occupied well on the bad side there are a lot of private campsites that he sent me the contacts on WhatsApp so there will be safe camping whether paying or not so I think we can spend a nice day he said that yes he has to do many days in the park but that in two you have enough time to do the must-sees which are Laguna Verde I think it is called or Río Verde with the walkway to the bridge hanging blue not green well I don’t know he sent me all the information on WhatsApp I don’t know it by heart now so he sent me like a kind of itinerary I think we are full and tomorrow we are ready to visit it one more national park [Music] we start the walk through the center of this beautiful Patagonian corner skel located in the province of Chubut has about 30,000 inhabitants and a very calm pace ideal for strolling without hurry while we walk through its streets we notice again the typical wooden buildings that give it that cozy mountain air there are local shops low houses with gardens and a lot of southern vibe in every corner everything has that Patagonian touch that makes you feel far from the noise and close to nature even if you are in the center [Music] we are taking a walk through the center now what is Avenida 25 de Mayo cutting with 9 de Julio and I think I saw that it was called Rivadavia too is quite nice there are several stores like that maintaining the wooden touches haven’t we been commenting on in this whole area of Patagonia and it is nice to take a few walks apart again like in the bolsón est like the surrounded by hills don’t you have it there present all the time yes it seems a pot a valley no yes yes yes well I think there’s an area here called la olla that’s pretty famous for skiing seriously I threw it I threw it I threw a triple at random it’s called la olla how good It seems completely sheltered right between these pretty hills that already I mean it still has a lot of vegetation but in some parts it’s not as leafy as in others where we come from no exactly yes yes nothing is pretty let’s go around four more times and it seems to me that we’re going to gossip Traveling also yes well here the bar checking and corroborating that la olla exists la olla exists yes indeed he had a very good eye my goodness but he saw this map I can say 5 seconds and I already knew but it sounded familiar to me the olla doesn’t sound familiar don’t you remember where it was that we met a guy who told us that he was doing seasonal work in la olla oh but we know so many people what do I know I think it was because of malar dude maybe but I don’t remember honestly but the olla sounded familiar to me I don’t know if it’s this one maybe there’s another one pot over there in Mendoza ah maybe but something about the pot and skiing sounds familiar to me well don’t tell your secrets laertaste don’t mess it up [Music] [Music] People we tell you that we just gave ourselves a treat because it turns out that we were in Bariloche how do you know if not we leave it here toos beautiful videos with many nice memories that we took from Bariroche eh well we immersed ourselves in the world of chocolate as it is not otherwise so you walk through Baliroche eh we went to have a drink at the mamushka I ordered a submarine you ordered a hot chocolate right yeah eh we ate everything frankly in Bariloche and we said that chocolate in branches had been invented there but then it started to rain and we forgot to eat a snack of chocolate in branches yes and the rest of the days no it did not happen it did not happen so we were left with that fly behind our ear and now a tourist store just appeared by chance that is one of the best chocolates in the area and that was the signal to try them so we bought a couple of chocolates in branches to pay homage to Barriloche and then we’re going to try it that’s it let’s set off we’re going towards Traveling we have about 25 km to get there enjoy the afternoon we’re going to walk a little bit relaxed through the streets to see what we find we know that there is a lot of Welsh history isn’t there that curiously connects this whole area with the Gaiman area where we had already been talking about all that immigration to Patagonia no of the Welsh and everything that influenced the area so let’s learn a little more about that history now from this side of the mountain range [Music] and now we arrive at Treveling We park the van in one of these corners of the Plaza Fontana here a kind of roundabout small square it’s the main square here in Treelí there are some places there that we want to visit and then surely we will go and have some mates relaxed [Music] [Applause] [Music]
just 25 km from Skel is Treveling a charming little town with a very particular history Treveling was founded by Welsh settlers who arrived looking for a new home where they could preserve their culture and their language although well in reality the Welsh arrived in 1865 and settled first in the Gaiman Treleu area where they founded farming communities what happened is that at the end of the 19th century there was a group that moved towards the mountain range looking for better lands more abundant water new farming opportunities and here in this valley of Trebelin they founded a mill that was key to their community life and around which the town grew in fact that’s where the name traveling comes from in Welsh it means mill town [Music] [Music]
this is the Traveling coat of arms at the top it represents the Welsh community with the typical red Welsh dragon and the Argentine flag and then the bottom part represents the fertility of the land livestock farming and everything that is the mountain range with the glaciers the mountains or in other words a little bit of everything no of what is the history of the place yes a complete conjunction There inside the shield is very pretty, well as you may have noticed, up here by the Ministry of Tourism, there is a red dragon, which for context, for those who don’t know, is the representative figure of the flag and of the country of Wales in general, and here, well, with this whole issue of Welsh culture that took off in Argentina and in Patagonia in particular, here you have, well, the tribute to this dragon, and the dragon comes because, well, there is a mythological legend that said that in the past there was a red dragon and a white dragon, the red dragon represented good and the fight for their lands, and the white dragon represented all evil. Well, these dragons did a lot of damage by fighting each other, so the king in power asked his brother for advice, and the brother said, “Well, let’s dig a gigantic well in Great Britain.” And we put mead in it, we put intoxicating liquids in it and once they were inside we locked them up forever and they locked up the dragons until a long time later a new king tried to build a castle on top of where the dragons were trapped but well, a lot of noises were heard and the foundations were shaking and they said “Let’s end this mythological battle once and for all.” They freed them they let them fight each other and in that epic battle the red dragon won and so uh it remained as an epic symbol of the country of Wales on the flag and here also a little piece of that heart of the red dragon also uh already enveling well we saw that there was this regional museum mill that tells a little bit of the history of this Welsh immigration and of the region so let’s go in because the entrance fee is 3000 pese for foreigners 2000 for Argentinians let’s have a look around a little to see what we find [Music] the Regional Museum is one of the most emblematic places in Traveling it operates in the old mill founded by the Welsh settlers in 1918 inside we find old tools photos furniture and all kinds of objects that tell how this community was formed small but very well armed we firmly believe that it’s worth going in to understand a little bit better all the history and culture of the place [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] we came here to a little bit of the Persy River which is the river that runs through Treveling to drink some mates and in fact we are going to eat the little chocolate that we bought this morning in Mel we are going to try it with the mate to try the chocolate en rama for the first time I have to say that the expectations are not extremely good and I will tell you why I am going to love it but Anga and I can attest to this because it happens off camera that when she is left with a chocolate that has melted but has cooled down again it loses a bit of its grace the flavor is not noticeable I mean can I distinguish that exact flavor the changes in temperature or putting it in the refrigerator that is why I do not put the chocolate in the refrigerator it gives it a touch of flavor that no no And I think that this is going to be a little bit clear because according to what we read the chocolate en rama well that originated in Bariloche according to what we told comes from a about a time this man spilled hot chocolate on a marble then it cooled and when he took it out with a spatula it ended up with this very particular shape and also a particular flavor that it gives to the chocolate branch but let’s see what I just told you is what Ang likes let’s see it’s a liquid chocolate that cools after well let’s see how it is let’s see let ‘s buy two one semi-sweet and another milk chocolate so let’s try this one it’s good ah mmm I liked this one I liked it it’s delicious the truth is it’s better than I expected why pretend anything very good it’s delicious but I wouldn’t pay that much for this again well yes it’s clear that the price is inflated because it’s in Patagonia because it’s one of the chains that according to what we understood from the tourist along with the other what was it called mamushka and the third one that I can’t remember rapanui and Rapanui are some of the biggest no in the end I think you pay a little for the brand no yes but I would pay sooner because I liked a hot chocolate better like this no In that format, yes, it’s true that we enjoyed the mamusca , we enjoyed it a lot. Yes, I would enjoy it more. Well, in the end, it’s a block of chocolate, it’s a snack exactly. However, do you like the experience more, like we did at Malmushkaa? Yes, yes, well, I’m going to try the other one, which would be the classic. It seems like normal milk chocolate, let’s see how it is. Yes, it’s like the bad example we gave, like when a chocolate melts and solidifies again, the texture is like that, but the flavor is nothing like it. The flavor is good. The flavor is not like the failed ice cream chocolate that we said. Now, the flavor is very good. Have you tried this one, the milk chocolate, I liked this one? eh? Yes, mmm, let’s see, very good, I want to try it. I don’t know. The other one, the sour one, very good, I liked this one a lot, it’s good. Yes, yes, no. Let’s see. The sour chocolate, sour, not semi-bitter, semi-bitter, nothing like it, it’s good, but I would still prefer the tablet format. Doesn’t it seem like it goes further because in reality this is quite a lot of chocolate? I mean, if you tend them, it can be a normal tablet, eh, quite a lot, of course, that’s why I mean, even so, doesn’t it seem to me that the flavor is, I liked it, I liked the format, branch, yes, the texture, do you like it, yes, I approve, very approved, I liked the branch, yes [Music] oh [Music] we’re back in Fontana Square, we wanted to come back here to finish the day because we read something really cool at the tourist office and that is that the dragon they have above the office breathes fire at 8 and 10 at night every day, so of course we can’t leave without seeing that spectacle that not only reminds us of Gale’s story but also gives us a touch of Harry Potter, right? because there’s a dragon in the London studios of Harry Potter where all the sets are that also breathes fire, so well, it makes us laugh, that’s why, right [Music] [Music] come back morning, come back, keep on cl [Music] let the opportunity pass and we came back at 10 at night to appreciate the dragon’s flame in the darkness much more impressive and perfect to close this beautiful day by Traveling oh
