(It’s been a while since you’ve seen me in Kaohsiung, right?) Anyway, had a quick hotel breakfast as usual and headed out before it got too late. The weather was the worst today. Still, I added a little style with my knee-high socks. Worse weather than the day we rode scooters… ㅜㅜ

Travel is all about moving from place to place, right? Especially if you’re someone like me who loves small-town trips. Arrived at the shaved ice shop. It’s actually a bit far from Tainan city center, but I’m glad we made the trip. First, grabbed a seat and placed our order. I mentioned “Li Zi-Wei” and they just knew what to prepare. Oh, and the pudding isn’t included—grab one from a convenience store. Now it’s time to top it off with pudding. Almost spilled it because it wouldn’t come out easily… Done! Finally tried this famous shaved ice. It was a classic condensed milk style, Milk + condensed milk + pudding = impossible to taste bad. Now I’m craving it again just thinking about it. It’s that “familiar taste is the most dangerous” vibe. The shop was filled with photos of the “Someday or One Day” cast. I even brought a Taiwanese school uniform, but it was way too cold to wear it. ㅜ Well… it was January, even in Taiwan. Didn’t get to film much, but it was definitely a fun experience! If you take the bus marked “Blue,” it’s about 20 minutes to the next stop. On the way to the “Someday or One Day” hot pot udon spot. Made it to the udon place! We braved the wind and rain to get here… There were tons of celebrity autographs on the walls. You line up outside to place your order. Here’s what the outdoor seating looks like. Since it was raining, we waited for a seat inside, but locals just wiped down the seats and sat right away. We stubbornly waited it out ^^.. Honestly, we had a lot more places we wanted to visit, but the rain, wind, and cold kept us from exploring too much. Here comes the hot pot udon! Let’s take a bite right away. Hae: Mmm~! The noodles weren’t like typical udon. They were more like thin ramen noodles. Hae: Usually when people stare at you like that…

Turns out, there was a live band playing tonight! They were amazing—super fun vibes. And it wasn’t just the vocalist who was good… I got so into it that I ended up requesting a song. I asked them to sing “Last Dance.” But their reaction was basically, “Yeah… that’s not happening.” ㅜ

So I sat there all sad, giving up… Then suddenly they mentioned a request from Korean guests,and started singing “Three Bears” ;; 🎤: Feeling proud! 🎤: Feeling proud! 🎤: Great ~ 🎤: Thank you ~ Right after that, they launched into a “Someday or One Day” medley. ㅜ As a huge fan of “Someday or One Day,” I was so happy. Then we headed to a hotpot place nearby. Here’s what it looked like inside. We ordered a half-and-half broth, and picked some meat based on their recommendation! Perfect hangover cure. Honestly, my friend was seriously hungover that day, so we didn’t go far. so we just picked a random spot near the hotel, but the meat quality was amazing! The only downside… it was a bit salty. And yeah, my friend was dying across from me… I felt kinda bad for enjoying my meal so much. Anyway, off to the next spot ~ By the time we finished eating, the sun was already setting. The day just flew by… And of course, we took a taxi again. For some reason, Uber was half price the whole time in Taiwan, so taxis were totally guilt-free. Arrived at Pier-2 Art Center. There’s a photo spot right by the train tracks. You can snap a pic with a passing train in the background. (Plus, lots of people walking cute dogs around here.)

Loved how it turned out, but was shocked they only gave us one copy…

(There were so many cute decorations I couldn’t leave.) – It’s totally dark now. – So… what do we do now? Most people come here during the day, but I actually liked it at night. Fewer people, so it was more relaxing and peaceful. The night view was stunning. – Looks like a school field trip. – A bunch of kids just ran up. Of course, I climbed up too. Took a ton of photos. People were staring, but I didn’t care ~ Now it’s really time to eat. Even the cute little train looked like it was clocking out. Then suddenly, the bell rang like they were closing up.
