🌸【Filmed in June 2025】A peaceful hydrangea walk at a countryside shrine in Ibaraki, Japan
In this early summer video, we take a quiet walk through a local Shinto shrine in Shimotsuma City, Ibaraki Prefecture, known for its seasonal hydrangea festival. Every June, around 3,000 hydrangea bushes bloom across the shrine grounds and nearby paths, creating a colorful and serene atmosphere.
Starting in front of a small traditional shop, we pass through the torii gate, stroll around the inner shrine area, and follow the “Ajisai Path” — a trail lined with blue, purple, and white blossoms on the northern side of the grounds.
Filmed on a clear June evening, this video captures the calm sounds of nature, the beauty of Japanese summer flowers, and the tranquil ambiance of a lesser-known rural shrine. Perfect for those seeking a relaxing, authentic Japan walking experience.
