First Impressions of South Korea in Busan 🇰🇷 S8 EP 113 | Pakistan to Japan Motorcycle Tour

They have put up a statue here and you can sit with it and take a picture of Busan. Which one is this? Oh, this is Japanese. This man has sacrificed half an hour and he has brought pancakes for me. This lady is running a good shop here. There is a long queue and people are standing. She has put the egg now, what was it before? Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Bussan, South Korea’s second largest city. Its population is approximately 3.3 million. I reached here by ferry from Japan. Today I will try to show you some historical and cultural sites of Bussan along with modern city life. So that you can get an idea of what the second largest city of Bussan is like. Especially when I go to Seoul, it is a very big tourist city. It is the capital and it is very modern and developed. So you will get an idea of the difference between the two cities. Right now I am in Nampo area. This is the shopping area where I can see almost all the brands. My plan is to walk around here. I will look for a cafe where I can have breakfast. After that I will walk to some other area. It is almost 10:30 am here and most of the shops are closed. I think the shops open around 11 or 12 pm. People start late here especially in the shopping areas. I think everything starts closing around 8 pm. This is the square of this street. I can see some shops and hustle bustle here. So I decided to walk here and see what I can find. It’s not a very big walking street but you can say it is decent. I can see a bakery and cafe here. It is best to get something to eat here. There are pictures outside. It is a big bakery shop here. Let’s see what I can find here. Let’s see what I can find here early in the morning. I think they have put something in it. I thought it was some kind of cheese. I think I will get something sweet in the end. I won’t get anything special. I got my breakfast here. I got a big size cup of coffee. I got a big size cup of coffee. I also got milk bread and cheese bread. These were the options available here. I didn’t see any other options. The price of coffee is around 3.5 USD. I paid 12,000 Yen overall. Not Yen but Won. It is around 8.45 USD which is not cheap. But you can say that the prices are almost similar to those in Japan. Let’s have breakfast. I can see a street food market next to the main walking street. I can see a lot of options for fish here. But I am done with my breakfast. I don’t need anything right now. But I can come here in the evening if I want to see something. This is called BIFF Square. I think this street is also related to a film area. The street food markets I have visited in Japan were very few. There were some tourist areas on the side of Asakusa. But they were also very well planned. This might be giving you a feeling like you have seen my videos in China. It is similar to that. On one hand, everything is modern. And on the other hand, people are selling their products in their stalls. One more thing you will notice is that when I was traveling in Japan, the cars I saw there were mostly Japanese cars. Apart from that, I also saw some German or American cars. The same situation is here as well. Hyundai and Kia of Korea are world famous and make very good cars. This might be one of the reasons why the government supports people to use their manufactured goods. And taxes will be imposed on imported goods. Another thing is that Korea has been a colony of Japan from 1910 to 1945. It was occupied by Japan for 35 years. After the end of World War II, Japan was defeated. And Korea got independence from Japan. You will definitely see the sentiment that Koreans don’t like Japanese people. When I was in Japan, I noticed that they didn’t like talking about Koreans. Despite that, there are Japanese and Korean businesses. They have good business relations. But you will see this in people when you talk to someone about Japan or Korea. Right now, I am walking towards Gamcheon village. Which is the biggest tourist area in Korea. But the world here is very different. You will find small houses here. There is such a random and congested construction here. I could have taken this bus as well. But I decided to walk instead. It’s not easy to walk here. You have to go up the hill from where you will get the view. The main houses are on that side. But there are small roads here. You feel different in Korea. That was modern area and this is something different. Thank you. This is the main street of Gamcheon village. All the streets I have walked so far were very small. This is a wide street. There are shops for tourists. You can feel the touristy vibe here. If you look at the history of Gamcheon village, earlier it was called Busan. Later, in 2000, it was changed to Busan. When Korea came to Japan, this was the main port that connected Korea to Japan. Ferries used to go from here. It was a very vibrant city. After the defeat of Japan in world war and Korea got independent. From 1950 to 1953, there was North and South Korea War. In that war, almost all of Korea was occupied by the North. Except for Busan, most of the people left South Korea and came to Busan. They started building houses wherever they could. That’s why you don’t see any construction planning here. As the situation improved here, people started moving to other areas. This area was almost vacant. It was almost abandoned at that time. It could have been demolished. It was very different from the rest of Korea. So the Korean government decided to make it a tourist site. They called some engineers, architects and designers. They made it very colorful. Today, it is the biggest tourist site in Busan. You can see how they changed this abandoned village to the main tourist site. Let’s take a walk here. Let’s see if I can find a good place to sit and rest. I have come here after a long walk. I have walked for more than 3.5 km. Especially, I had to go all the way to the hilltop. I have found a small and beautiful cafe here. It has a rooftop. I can sit and enjoy the view from here. I can see a beautiful village from here. Let’s check it out. Upstairs, okay. Thank you. When I was making the video, she told me to go up. The view is better from here. I have taken my drink. Let’s enjoy the view from here. I think I will get a better view from here. Look at this. This is Gamcheon village in Korea. And this is Grapefruit tea. I have never drunk grapefruit tea like this. Let’s see how it tastes. But the view is beautiful from here. I have got this tea for 5000 won. It’s around 3.7 USD. You will get similar prices if you go to touristy places. Korea is neither cheap nor expensive. It’s in the middle. Almost like Japan. But let’s try it. It’s okay. I think it’s better to avoid it if you are paying for it. I have paid for it. I have to finish it. At least I will think that I have drunk water. Look at this. There is a long queue to take pictures. They have put up a statue here. You can sit with it and take pictures of Busan. I don’t see anything special. It’s a beautiful place. But you don’t have to stand in such a long queue to take pictures. The view is good from here. Let’s go from village to the city. Let’s see the other tourist sites from the main city. It’s too hectic today. The place I was at, Gamcheon village, is on one side of the city. As you know, Busan is a coastal city. So the coastline here is very interesting. And it’s a modern city. So I thought to see the coastal side of Busan. There is a very important temple here. Let’s see that too. First I took a bus. Then I took a subway. Then I took a bus. After about 2 hours and 15 minutes, I reached here in this area. Finally, I have reached the temple. Let’s see this and the area next to it. This is the entrance of the temple. There are small shops here for tourists. They have some souvenirs and food items. This is the first time I am visiting a Korean temple. The problem in Korea is that food items are not easily available. Especially if you have a dietary restriction. So they only serve fish here. So this one is onion? This one? Only fish and onion. One? One, yes. Soup? No? No, soup no. That’s okay. One? Sauce? Sauce, yes. Okay. How much? 3000 No, no, no. Korean, Korean. Which one is this? This is Japanese. No, no, no. No, no, no. Free. I am giving her Japanese. Oh, free. Okay, okay, okay. Thank you. I was very hungry. Thank God I got something to eat. Two students from Sheikhupura are here. What is your name? My name is Sarmad, he is Imran. You forgot your name. I feel a bit nervous. Thank you so much. They wanted to pay for it. This is a message for everyone. I will pay for it myself. Thank you very much for coming. He told me to come to the temple. The two hours were too hectic for me. It will be worth it. The problem in Korea is that their barbeque is really good. But they cook everything in the same oil . So you have to be a little careful here. Otherwise, you can easily find anything like this fish. And it tastes really good. And they had only fish. From here, you can see a very beautiful view of the temple. Because this whole temple is built on cliffs. If you look here, there is a small bridge that connects it to the main temple. You will see the sea on this side. Overall, Koreans are not very religious. About 60% are atheists here. 20-25% you will see Buddhism here. And then there are other religions. There are very few Muslims here. Especially the immigrants from other countries. You will see the main population here. Such temples are not only visited by people religiously. But they come here as a tourist and cultural site. And this is one of the most important and oldest temples here. It was built in the 13th and 14th centuries. When the Japanese came here, later, there was a war. So the temple suffered a lot of damage during that time. Then it was rebuilt. So you feel that some sections have been rebuilt here. Now I have come to Ondeh Beach. And you can say that this is the most modern area of Busan that I have seen so far. They have made a spacious walking street. You can see some brands on the sides. There is a street food market. And there are a lot of tourists. Let’s walk towards the beach. You can see life here. I was receiving a lot of messages to show a K-pop band. But I can’t show you K-pop. You have to deal with this only. This area is actually quite interesting. It’s very lively here because of the tourists. The street I have come to now is the street food market of this area. It’s a small market. So almost whichever big area I have traveled to today, there is definitely a small street food market. Look at this. The man has sacrificed half an hour to get a pancake for me. Earlier we didn’t want to eat. But they look good. This woman of a stall owner is famous for being aired on TV. That’s why it’s crowded here. You can still see that at least 40-50 people are standing here. And here we have Arif with us. Here is Mubashar. Mubashar runs his own restaurant. Arif was afraid that everyone is resting here. So he called Mubasher to help us. So there is nothing in this. They have added brown sugar to the pancake. Taste it. How do you feel? How do you feel? Thank you very much for standing in the queue for half an hour. It has brown sugar and cinnamon in it. The taste is good. You can try it if you want to try some snacks in Korea. Now we are trying the next Korean street food. What is this called? What is this called? Haemul Phaja. Haemul? Haemul Phaja. Korean Pizza. Korean Pizza. Now we are trying the Korean Pizza. This lady is successively running a stall here. There is a long queue. People are standing here. She has added the egg now. What was in it before? I thought it was egg. It is cornflour. It is a traditional marination. It is cornflour. Do you add spices in it? The spices are already in it. It is starfish marination. It is marinated. This is green onion. Okay. Green onion, cornflour, egg and starfish. These are the ingredients. We have brought our street food to Mubasher’s restaurant. There was no place to stand there. It was very crowded. Let’s try and see. I have shown you the food of Japan. Some were good and some were not. Let’s see how they are. I think it’s not bad as a snack. You can try it. I have tried starfish in many places before. You can say that it has a decent taste. But the taste of the one I had earlier was better. Now we are eating proper Pakistani food. Thank you very much, Mubasher. I didn’t plan to eat Pakistani food today. Thank you very much, sir. You will eat this, won’t you? Start eating. It’s 11:15 pm here. I am going back to the hotel. I have tried to show you around Busan. I hope you liked the video. Tomorrow, I will leave and go to Seoul. I will explore Seoul and share my plans with you. That’s it for now. Remember me in your prayers. Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share. Bye.
