I’ve always said this to myself “It’s about how many hours you put in”. For a long time I’ve wondered what made an artist great. I would always consider great artists to be really talented at what they did. What i’ve come to realize is that i’m not talented at all. The simple fact to my success is my work habit. Hours of practice, research, and focus has led me to be the photographer I am today. Practicing your craft at least 4 hours a day will help you with finding your true shooting and editing style. Find photographers that inspire you. Try to reach out to them and ask them questions about their workflow and why they decided to pursue photography. As a result of that you’ll find or at least explore your “why”. Find a reason to take photos and like anything you do in life, take it seriously. As my photography career progresses the hours I put in are the results of how my photos look now.
