It needs a thorough cleaning and a few repairs, but overall, I really like this apartment. The storage space under the stairs is practical. The room with the toilet seems spacious and not like a closet, as in some other apartments. Having a small garden and a balcony is especially nice. And the view of the trains or the noise wouldn't bother me, as I currently live right next to a railway line and am used to it. If they allow to keep cats/pets, I can really imagine living there. Thank you for showing us the apartment!
Is it bad lighting or is this apartment not very clean? The stove and sink aren’t up to the usual standard for cleanliness in Japan.

A garden and a balcony. Get the landlord to give it a luck of paint and hand me the keys. Living next to a rail line doesn't bother me, my current flat is the same proximity from the rail line here in the uk.
Its larger than I thought it would be.
Nice to have some outdoor space, good for the soul n mind ☺️
I think many of these micro apartments could use ideas taken from motor homes and similar to make more use of the space like bathrooms and storage ,

This is a nice one! An actual living room and a bedroom with stairs, not a loft! You could do so much with this space. Top balcony for growing veg; bottom patio and garden for living. Pop an awning or large umbrella out there and lovely for relaxing and dining. Lots of plants and water features. Could even grow dwarf fruit trees. Lots of storage here, too. And the price can't really be beat! Thanks for sharing!

huge genkan ( 👍)and bathroom ( 👍) for such a small apartment and very spacious for just 28m² ( 👍) much storage space ( 👍) and i love the industrial design….and you can watch trains passing by ( 👍) and the low price makes it perfect…. I would love to live here

Why does Japan have apartments like this small or uniquely shaped? Is it a practical reason or cost ?
Very nice for the price. Only thing I don't like is the diamond plate metal on the stairs. But it is not a deal breaker. It does look like the owner didn't get time to thoroughly clean and paint before the video, but still nice.
That was a neat flat! If I lived there I would definitely need to have a few step stools around because there are so many tall reaching things. Watching the trains go by would be fun.

Maybe a first time viewer here! Very interesting space! What is the thing you expose at 7:57 and 14:16? I asked my wife who's from Yokohama but she said because she's been away from Japan for 20 years she doesn't know lol things may have changed. Is it propane hookup?
The apartment is very spacious compared to others, but it is noticeable that it is quite old, it needed a bit of cleaning, the kitchen is very worn, we will see the price if it is convenient 😊
Oh, you have a tattoo? I'm surprised. This apartment is pretty industrial and the bathroom looks like it belongs in a pool, but it has plenty of storage and great outdoor space. It could be adapted to a person's style to some extent. It does look old, though.
기차 소음 정도는 어떤가요? 마이크로 아파트 컨디션은 좋아보이네요! 작지만 마당과 테라스가 있는게 약간의 장점이 될거 같네요. 기차 소음만 적당하다면요 : D
Hi from France! The kitchen is not brand new…., not very clean, walls are full of spots, some lights are nearly dying… The garden is not a garden, just some concrete on the ground, the flat needs to be cleaned first…. some repairs too… and a wonderfull wview on passing trains… just my point of view…
Es ist zwar kalt, alles aus Metall. Aber Zweckmäßig, und Preislich recht gut.
It looked in need of some elbow grease but it's a nice apartment, the overhead cupboards in the kitchen need to be slightly lower to make access easier 😊😅
If renters would or could stop moving often (short lease) I would, if I were the landlord, be much more willing to invest in the rental apartment with "nicer" things… such as a better kitchenette, a retractable awning for the garden, a mini shoe storage on the entry door exterior, etc. It is good that a fire extinguisher is inside the apartment. I don't know how to use it without instructions. Most people don't, but we should know.
The pop out floor electric outlet is great. The toilet paper holder is easy to use. The long shelving above the wash basin is thoughtful, and with a generous towel bar. Could the basin be slightly bigger? It seems to sit too perfectly under the shelf. No bathroom dryer?? No screens for balcony/garden doors… I didn't see windows so the doors has to stay opened all the time for ventilation.
The understair storage area is very practical! The entryway space is very generous and somewhat out of view, which is good so jackets, bags, shoes can be left in the space upon returning, and they will not be seen from throughout the apartment.
Pretty decent layout for a 2 storied 300+ sq ft. Could be quite comfortable here.
I have an exterior storage closet outside my unit, and my shoes (sneakers in particular) smells. During warm season the closet smells a little like feet even though it is outside and is not tightly insulated. I guess an apartment with balcony/garden the shoes can be left out here to breathe and refresh.
I left my entry door opened for just 1 minute early this morning, and so much fresh air was exchanged because my high power indoor floor fan was on and blowing in the direction of the opened door. It is roughly 3,000 square inches openness with this door. Unless there is a huge operable window an opened door cannot be beaten in venting the residence, especially with a fan to push air out.

Although it needs a few repairs and such i actually really like it as the apartment itself is very spacious and well laid out

Contact paper or shelf liner inside kitchen drawers.
Can share drinks with the neighbors!
Best bathroom in a tiny place I have seen.
