Scary , dirty, and strange names.. The actual names written on the map are Satan Village, Yadon Village , and so on . I had a business trip yesterday and came to Damyang, and I was going to sleep here for a day yesterday and go up to Seoul today. But I thought it would be a waste, so I thought I ‘d go on a domestic trip here and there while I’m here. Where should I go? Then I remembered that I had found strange place names on SNS in the past and saved them because they were so interesting . So today, I’m going to go to the strange villages of Korea in person. The first destination of this nationwide tour of strangely named villages is none other than Demon Village , located in Jeokseong-myeon , Sunchang-gun, Jeollabuk-do. When you think of Demon Village, it’s like this, right ? Demon King’s Village Dungeon. Is that really true? There’s a separate parking lot for cars . Wow , I just got here, and the parking lot is so well-made, what is it? When I thought about it and looked, it said that it was a tourist attraction called Chaegyesan Suspension Bridge. It ‘s right next to it. So if you look this way, there’s a bus and a hiking trail. On the way to Chaegyesan Suspension Bridge, I didn’t know anything and just came after seeing the name of the Demon World Village , but it turned out to be a tourist attraction. Oh , Demon World Village . Oh, Demon World Village. It says it like this. Goejeong-ri Demon World Village. But the village itself is just a really small mountain village. So I looked it up and it seems that the name Demon World Village originally had several meanings . It could mean a stream where horses passed or a valley where hemp grew. It’s a real rural landscape . It seems like everyone in the countryside is farming and there’s nothing in the village, but I’ll still take a walk around the village. I think this is the village hall or the Demon World Senior Center. Demon World Senior Center? It’s written here as Demon World Road. It’s a very quiet rural village, which doesn’t match the scary name of Demon World Village . A real rural sound . Hmm , this rural smells . The smell of poop … The smell of fertilizer… The Chaegye Mountain Swinging Bridge in Demon World Village. Since I’m here, I’ll go check it out too . Oh, but isn’t this a bit tough? This bridge..? By the way, the name Banggwang Village comes from the fact that there’s a stream in front of this village, and the stream’s curved shape resembles a bladder, so it was named that way. Hello. I’ve been here for an hour and a half now, and out of all the towns I’ve been to so far , this one feels the most hidden in the valley? Whoa , Satan Village . The name is Satan, so I’m a little… scared.. It’s almost sunset now, so for no reason ~ There’s even a grave right next to it . Wow, I’m crazy, everyone. I finally made it here. The name is Satan Village (spooky phrase). Hey, it looks kind of scary, doesn’t it? Even now, it’s getting a little creepy and creepy. This entrance, Satan Village, really has “Satan Village” written all over it. It’s really amazing. There’s a bus stop in front of it. Even the bus stop says “Satan. ” Satan Bus Stop. By the way, Satan Village is located in Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do. There ‘s Deogyusan behind it and Yongchu Falls here . It’s a village near famous tourist spots. I heard that Satan Village was originally called “Sadan Village.” At first, it was like that, but as it was passed down colloquially or as a dialect was added, it became written as “Satan Village” for various reasons. I really found something great. There’s a senior center in front of it. But it’s written so scary. Satan Senior Center . Oh, it’s amazing that “Satan Village” is written everywhere . The flower garden on the Satan Village bulletin board looks a bit like a flower grave… It ‘s so pretty, but I guess it’s just my imagination that it feels a bit creepy . Isn’t this an abandoned village? Why are there so many empty houses with no people ? It’s called Satan Village for no reason. No, there are many good houses that are doing well. I’m not going to give you any preconceived notions. The sun is slowly setting beautifully. I’ll go see the sunset at Satan Village. I ’ll slowly walk around the village. In other places, I’d run into one or two village elders, but there’s not a single one here. There’s a dog. Let’s run away. It feels like I’ve walked around the village once. The village itself isn’t that big. Let’s go see Yongchu Falls right in front. If you cross just one bridge from Satan Village, you’ll find Yongchu Falls. Also, there’s a Deogyusan Trail on this side. Deogyusan is where I used to come a lot when I was learning rock climbing, but this is my first time seeing this side. Yongchu Falls is breathtaking. The sunset is still beautiful. Aren’t the trees so pretty? Today, I feel like I’m on a treasure hunt for places I didn’t know about in Korea. Today, I’ve traveled around Korea following the funny, dirty, and scary place names. 1. 마계마을의 출렁다리는 의외였는데 전혀 예상치못한곳에 있었고 알려지지않은 출렁다리라서 그런가봅니다. 원래 출렁다리의 하부가 무섭기는한데 영상보면서 장난을 치고싶더라고요ㅎㅎ

2. 야동마을… 구례에 있다는점이 의외입니다. 파주쪽을 먼저 생각했어요. 야동초등학교라는 표지판 사진을 통해서 알았는데 파주쪽이라고 들었어요. 실제로 검색해보니 야동동이라고 있더라고요ㅎㅎ 아마 저마다의 유래가 있는모양입니다.
3. 사탄마을은… 배경음악이 마치 악마가 썩은미소로 "지옥에 온 것을 환영한다"는 표정을 짓는 어딘가 모르게 싸~한 기분… 군대생활 관련 에피소드가 떠올라도 이상하지않을 기분입니다.
