【イタリア10日間Vlog🇮🇹】ミラノ満喫24時間→港町サレルノへ6時間大移動!絶景&グルメ列車旅

I’m visiting 4 cities in Italy over 10 days! I’m splitting this into a 3-part series, so make sure to follow and watch till the end!! Also check out my video on European travel essentials! Let me show you a bit about how to spend 15 hours on a plane ✈️ They serve meals twice – dinner and breakfast 🍽️ and you can grab fruits, snacks, and drinks from the galley anytime you want! I love falling asleep while watching the magical scenery outside the window 😴
To fight jet lag, I try to sleep according to the local nighttime! Watching movies and editing videos – time flies by so fast! Before I knew it, I could see the majestic mountains of Switzerland 🇨🇭 right next to Italy 🇮🇹! Arrived in Milan, Italy! 🇮🇹 Currency exchange in Italy charges over 20% fees, so do it in Japan!
At this time, 1 euro was 170 yen at Haneda Airport but 210 yen at Milan airport 😰 Let’s take the train to Milan Central Station where my hotel is The station is underground, so I’ll take the elevator down Trains to Milan Central Station run pretty frequently, so no need to book in advance! The train arrived right on time! There are luggage racks but they fill up super quickly, so be prepared lol (About 1 hour on the train) Arrived at Milan Central Station! It’s so spacious and beautiful!! From here you can go anywhere in Italy 🇮🇹
and even to other countries like Switzerland and France! It looks more like a palace or museum than a station! My first night’s hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station A reliable Marriott hotel Love the interior design 🌿 Stylish and compact room You can see the whole city The Italian-style bidet takes some getting used to 🤭 The amenities were from a luxury Italian home fragrance brand! This water bottle is so cute! Everything in the mini fridge costs money, so be careful For my first meal, I chose a restaurant right next to the hotel with about 1000 reviews and 4.4 stars ⭐️ Italian restaurants always serve bread first 🥖 You can enjoy different flavors of olive oil and balsamic at each restaurant! It was a popular spot with lots of local office workers! Zucchini and shrimp risotto!
Light and refreshing but so umami-rich and delicious! My favorite arrabbiata 🌶️ The spice is incredible!! Milan’s specialty veal cutlet “Cotoletta alla Milanese”
So tender and not heavy at all! Totally satisfied from the first meal!! 🤤 At regular restaurants, tips are just a small gesture but
they add a “Coperto” (table charge) of about 3 euros per person Milan Central Station is incredible even from the outside… You’ll see bracelet scam artists in this square, but just ignore them and you’ll be fine Taking the train to that famous place! Arrived at the station closest to Milan’s most famous tourist spot, the Duomo! You can see it the moment you exit the station I couldn’t help but say “WHOA!” lol There’s so much to see around here too,
so it’s good to set aside time to explore slowly There are people trying to sell pigeon feed here, but just ignore them and you’ll be fine! There’s a security check before entering the Duomo Show your pre-purchased ticket and you can go in You’ll climb about 250 steps straight up, so definitely wear comfortable shoes If you need a break, stand at the corner to keep the path clear Made it! I’m so out of breath lol The Gothic architecture is so delicate and overwhelmingly beautiful… Part of it’s under construction but it doesn’t affect the beauty at all We really climbed so high 😅 Recommended photo spot
You can take pictures with the detailed architectural elements like this Going up to the rooftop now I got to see Milan’s symbol, the Madonnina (golden statue of the Virgin Mary) up close! After enjoying the rooftop view, taking the stairs back down to the cathedral The scale is just overwhelming… The stained glass and sculptures are so intricate and beautiful… After the Duomo, heading to the adjacent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II It’s got luxury brands from Italy and France – basically a high-end department store They say if you spin around 3 times with your heel, good luck will come to you, so everyone does it
but there’s no line, so you just have to find the right timing to jump in lol Got a bit hungry, so I went to a famous old-school fried bread shop! It’s called panzerotti, apparently a traditional southern Italian snack They have both savory and sweet options, but I went with the most popular menu item – tomato mozzarella Piping hot Crispy outside, chewy inside, and the tomato acidity pairs perfectly! Milan has trams running everywhere, so convenient You can just tap your credit card when boarding, no need to buy separate tickets Suddenly appeared – Leonardo da Vinci monument Getting the Italian standard at gelato chain Grom! 🇮🇹 Lots of varieties, but of course Italian pistachio and lemon are the only choice! The pistachio flavor is so strong and not too sweet – absolutely delicious!
The 🍋 changes up the flavor so I could eat this forever lol Wandering around the old town is so fun Got a recommendation for a local favorite, so checking it out! An old restaurant from 1933 where you can eat traditional Milanese cuisine The menu is only in Italian 🤭 so I decided to ask for recommendations! Such a lovely atmosphere Fresh vegetables with sweet balsamic and olive oil
Simple salad but so delicious Risotto alla milanese – a must-try when in Milan! The yellow color is from saffron!
The broth and butter umami makes it so delicious Sprinkling grated cheese is the Milanese way Pasta al ragu 🍝 Not heavy at all and so easy to finish The Costoletta alla Milanese I also had for lunch
Even though it’s fried, adding lemon makes it refreshing and delicious! Tiramisu! Rich coffee aroma and not too sweet – delicious
Perfect with espresso! ☺️ Musicians suddenly appeared lol They ask for tips at the end, but just a small amount is fine
I gave 2 euros but some people didn’t give anything Security gets worse at night, so let’s head back early Day 2: Taking the high-speed train for a big move, so having breakfast at a café near the station So many coffee and food options – it’s fun! Everything looks delicious Office workers would grab espresso at this counter
munch on a croissant and quickly leave lol Salmon avocado 🥪 and prosciutto 🥪 sandwiches – both were delicious The pistachio sauce croissant was incredible 🤤 Italians apparently only drink cappuccino until 11 AM ☕️ Train platform numbers usually appear 5-10 minutes before, so make sure to check You can buy tickets at machines in the station,
but for long-distance travel, I recommend booking over a month in advance! Taking 6 hours to get to Salerno, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast! I got business class seats Like Japan’s Green Car with wider seats Power outlets and trash bins are right at your feet Suitcase storage is first-come-first-served,
but if there’s no space you can put it on the overhead rack Looks like you can use the built-in lock for 1 euro Someone was actually using the lock! 🔐
You can thread the chain through your luggage so it doesn’t get stolen If you get the back seat, you can put small suitcases behind your seat Business class comes with drinks And snacks too! Already entering the countryside lol Pretty fast Wi-Fi too, so some people were working on laptops 👩‍💻 Passing through Rome (not going there this time though) Arrived in Salerno!! The station is more impressive than I imagined About a 15-minute walk from the station Arrived at my 2nd night’s B&B Spacious room with a balcony too! And the main reason I chose this room was…! For this amazing view! The sea!!! The sea breeze feels so good 😚 The bathroom has everything you need Champagne and water are actually free! I don’t handle alcohol well so I didn’t drink it lol Going to wander around town The unique atmosphere and vibe of a port town is truly wonderful Going to a famous gelato shop A famous shop with over 6000 reviews and 4.5 stars ⭐️ Apparently there’s always a line System where you pay first, then choose flavors when your number is called According to Italians 🇮🇹, avoid shops with colorful gelato piled high like mountains
Choose shops with natural ingredient colors that are flat! Here it comes! Pistachio and lemon again today! The most delicious gelato I had during the entire 10-day trip!
The pistachio aroma is absolutely incredible – you must try it!! All the other flavors were delicious too Taking a walk while enjoying the sea breeze
Also checking out the ferry terminal for tomorrow’s trip to Amalfi Lots of private ferries docked here! 🛥️ The left side is the ticket office and meeting point for ferry passengers In the evening, there are boats selling fresh seafood caught nearby!
Locals are lining up! This scenery unique to port towns is the best photo spot! You can take photos like this! Perfect weather and perfect scenery… I could stay here for hours… Cute magnet I bought at a souvenir shop ❤️ On the stylish street heading to the old town,
there are fashion brands and trendy cafés! I wanted to stay longer in this cute town… The moment I entered the narrow street, the atmosphere changed completely – so beautiful! Going to visit the cathedral Salerno Cathedral has a simple stone structure but such a strong presence Inside, marble columns from ancient Roman times line the spacious area A special memorial mass for the late Pope Francis was being held Went to a restaurant with about 2000 reviews and 4.5 stars ⭐️! A hidden gem in an alley with cute paintings Just opened so it was still empty The friendly staff gave me lots of recommendations! The bread here was fluffy and delicious Painted with Salerno scenery – so cute ☺️ The plates are too cute… I wondered what it was – turned out to be a wet wipe Restaurant’s recommended seafood soup
The essence from locally caught clams and squid was so umami-rich and moving 😭 And then the pasta I was most excited about! So Italian – pistachio pasta!! The most delicious pasta of my life! The fragrant pistachio,
rich cheese, and shellfish umami with chewy pasta… 🤤 The moment it hit my mouth, “delicious” came out in 0.1 seconds 🤭 All the staff were so kind and really looked after me lol Simple but delicious green salad to cleanse the palate Staff’s top recommendation “white fish caught just now” lol Simple charcoal grilling, but the fish is so fresh it’s incredibly sweet Even more delicious with Italian lemon 🍋! Finally, they served me Italy’s famous drink
Meloncello (liqueur) as a complimentary service 🍈🍸 I don’t handle alcohol well so I just had a sip 🤣 At 9 PM it gets fully booked, so I recommend coming early! The old town at night is like stepping into a movie – such an unreal world… Day 3: Heading to Amalfi from the morning, so having an early breakfast The B&B breakfast is at a nearby café! Give your ticket to the staff and choose your bread and drink Italians 🇮🇹 like to have breakfast standing at the counter and finish quickly lol Several varieties to choose from! I went with croissant and cappuccino Had a bit of extra time, so I checked out a supermarket near the station Italian lemons are huge! 🍋 The pasta section has so many varieties and they’re so cheap – surprising! So much olive oil – classic Italy!
I’m planning to introduce recommended souvenirs, so stay tuned Tons of tomato paste essential for pasta and pizza making!
You can feel Italians’ 🇮🇹 dedication to home cooking Waiting at the ferry terminal I visited yesterday The “kind old man” who helps with luggage will ask for tips,
so be careful lol Someone will shout in English about which company’s ferry and what time it is,
so as long as you listen carefully, you won’t miss it! The famous swimsuit old man lol There are indoor seats too! Leave your suitcase on the first floor With such nice weather, of course I’m going to the 2nd floor ☀️ Positano Jet has fewer trips but seems less crowded than other companies Here we go! Halfway through they start playing club music and selling alcohol –
what a cheerful country lol Amalfi came into view after about 20 minutes! Finally, the Amalfi I’ve been dreaming of! The ferry terminal is always super crowded Ferries stop at various places,
so listen to the announcements before getting off Meeting up with the Airbnb owner I’m staying with My Amalfi stay is finally beginning!! That’s Part 1! How was it? I’d be happy if you got interested in
Salerno, which isn’t very well known! In Part 2, I’ll introduce how to spend 2 nights and 3 days in Amalfi & Positano
and recommended spots! It was such an otherworldly amazing time, so stay tuned! 🇮🇹🍋
