Secret waterfalls and red trails , sleeping in a homestay on a high mountain, experiencing lush nature, eating in the middle of a valley with cool air and a wide view of the mountains as far as the eye can see. We stayed at a homestay called “Baan Suan Na Nee”. Na Nee said that if you brought a car, he recommends using a shuttle service. And now we are in Na Nee’s car. Today, Na Nee came to pick us up. – Hello, we are currently at Sakad, Doi Sakad. If we go to Ban Ket, how many kilometers is it? It is about 8 kilometers from here. But how many minutes is 8 kilometers? – No more than 25 minutes. How many years has this place been open? – We opened in 2022, 2022, this is the third year. I used to work in Bangkok as well. During Covid, I came back home. This homestay came during Covid. They go to the gardens and farms during this time. This part, my sister said is the most brutal. Oh, hold on first. Oh, it’s tilted already . I screamed already. The accommodation is the same. It belongs to Phi Sai’s family. The shuttle bus goes where? Picks up customers? This one picks up customers too. This is the bedroom – The bedroom . Let’s take a look at our bedroom today. We’ll sleep in this room. Oh, it’s spacious . It’s clean. There’s electricity. They provided us a fan. As I said, this house is a semi-detached house. They have another room that can sleep many people. But today, both of us rented the whole house. What are we doing? I’m currently using the bathroom. Let’s go see the balcony in front of the house. Wow, with a 360-degree view of the mountains surrounding us. This is our accommodation. It’s located at the entrance to Ban Ket. When you see the sign for Ban Ket, you’ll be right at Ban Suan Aunt Nee. If we walk into Ban Ket, it’s about 600 meters away. The village on that hill over there is Doi Saket. It’s nearby. The rain has started to let up. It was raining a while ago. Wow, it came and went. It passed by . We’ll go for a walk in Ban Ket. This is the sitting area of our accommodation. There’s another house. That one has people staying there right now . Is that the same price? If it is, it can accommodate 2 people. There’s only one room. It’s 1,000 baht per person, including dinner and breakfast. As I said, ours is a twin house. There are actually 2 rooms. It can accommodate 4-6 people. There were 2 of us, so it cost 1,500 baht per person, including breakfast and dinner. Let’s go for a walk in the village. They said it’s about 600 meters to Ban Ket. The weather is nice, isn’t it? The weather is great after the rain and it’s cool. Carrying them like this. See? Why weren’t we as relaxed as they were when we rode our motorcycles earlier ? They were so relaxed. Even carrying banana trees. Oh, cars, watch out . This is a small village of the Lawa hill tribe people, surrounded by nature and mountains. There are 2 routes to get here : from Chiang Klang District or Pua District. From our homestay, you can see the mountain view as far as the eye can see. And now it is around 18:00. Aunt Nee and P’Toey have prepared dinner for us. Here is our dinner menu. Aunt Nee and her boyfriend just served it to us at home. It smells good . Let’s see what’s on the menu. Let’s start with this menu: stir-fried pork salad, clear soup, fried chicken, stir- fried vegetables, and here it is, the Nam Phrik Ong set, which is a local northern Thai dish. Followed by mango.
