What’s a homestay in Japan really like?

I never thought I would be dancing in Japan to Dancing Queen on a tea Farm in fuzzy slippers we’re in kaani we’re staying at the farm stay here we’re with our hosts at the moment we’re just about to go in and get some food prepared that we just Harvest it’s a really great chance to engage in like you know like the craft of making tempura or wandering their Gardens and and picking okra the home state especially it’s been my favorite place that I’ve seen throughout my stay in Japan that’s one great thing I love about traveling is seeing not only the Victor things but those little things that make traveling special what happening is so’s coming down the stream and I’m picking it up and adding it to the broth I have here what my object je is to make sure Julie gets [Music] none something like beautifully unpredictable in it all you know it’s not as if it’s like a curated part of the the tour yeah I’ve remember that for a long time we just get to spend some time with people who you know they might not know a lot of like tourist information about Japan but they’ve lived Japan and then they live it with [Applause] us

Sure, Japan boasts the bustle of Shibuya and the quirkiness of Harajuku. But a small group tour with Intrepid will take you beyond the big city streets and into an even more enchanting side of the country.

Get a taste of rural Japanese life at a local farm stay in serene Kawane, where you might help to harvest tea or prepare a home-cooked, farm-to-table feast. Or you might hike a quiet country trail that passes through the area’s famous tea plantations and features an unmissable view of Mt Fuji.

Experience it for yourself on Intrepid’s Japan Highlights and Japan Highlights Family Holiday trips.
