静けさと喧騒が交錯する東京・和泉多摩川駅。多摩川のせせらぎを背に、今日はその周辺を歩いてみた。まず訪れたのは、花に彩られた玉泉寺。裏口からひっそり入り込むと、正門はまだ閉ざされていた。朝の空気の中に、鳥の声と気配だけが漂っている。引き返す途中、ふと目に留まったのは、角煮やスープが並ぶ自動販売機。生活の奥にある不思議な風景に思わず足を止めた。そして向かったのは、多摩川の川べり。春の日差しが水面を照らし、空には燕が飛び交う。対岸には神奈川県川崎市の街並みが遠く揺れていた。雑踏の中に隠された穏やかな時間が、この場所には確かに息づいている。何も語らぬ町が、なぜか心を締めつける——そんな旅の一瞬を、静かに歩いて記録している。
